Hôtel Bourg Tibourg - Paris Marais

Fantastic location!

Insanely small rooms. We didn’t do a good job looking at the dimensions and we were shocked when we arrived. Even though we saw bigger rooms were available, staff claimed they were spoken for.

Great location and cosy room. Reception team were fantastic.

Excellant location. Friendly staff. Next time I'm in Paris, I will stay at this hotel.

The hotel is super cozy and full of character. I loved the rooms — they give you the feeling of stepping back in time, as if you were living in old Paris. The staff was kind and very helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. A charming and memorable experience.

Wonderful service and in the heart of the Marais. The hotel Costes products were phenomenal as well. Everyone so helpful and kind.

The rooms are very small, even by Paris standards but somewhat expected given the hotel's location (Marais). Staff were very helpful and allowed us to switch rooms. Unfortunately, we woke up at 3:00 am (jet lag) and discovered an ant infestation in the bathroom and in the vestibule (and we are talking about more than a sprinkling of ants, an army that required the night clerk to come in with some kind of bug spray). We were allowed to switch rooms the following morning.

This hotel was wonderful. The location was perfect for those who want a vibrant neighborhood.

Loved this hotel!

The staff were always available and attentive, and everyone exceeded expectations. The breakfast was particularly enjoyable - the very gracious server custom-prepares your meal. It was overall a really luxurious experience. The location is the best. I highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Friendly staff and nice clean rooms and a good size for Paris.

A really beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Paris. Lovely staff in a vibrant neighborhood. The shower-bath is not for people with limited mobility.

Hotel staff were incredibly friendly. We were upgraded as well. The room was comfortable and clean. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Paris.

The staff was excellent and attentive. The location was perfect for traveling the area by Metro, or short walk to Notre Dame, tons of shopping and dining options within a short walk. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

Stylish and centrally located, with a very helpful staff and comfortable beds. The area gets a bit noisy at night but it's the hot spot for great restaurants and cafes plus close to Notre Dame, Ile Saint Louis, etc.

I hate when businesses operate so transactionally, without any regards for repeat business or their client’s comfort. Unfortunately, this hotel fits that bill and I generally try to be very kind with my reviews (can look at my reviews, I give mostly 5 stars) Two nights in a row we had the person above us blast music. After calling for 15 minutes we went to the front at 3am. The drunken man came down naked to get a pizza he ordered and refused to apologize saying the hotel never asked him to be quiet. They wouldn’t kick him out and made us move rooms instead, after we had a morning ruined by being up all night. They then gave us 15% off one night to make us “feel comfortable”.

Comfortable, convenient and friendly staff. Close to cafes, shopping and public transport. A quick hop to notre dame.

The hotel was small and charming and the staff was friendly and helpful. Room and bed were cozy and comfy. I would stay here again!

Stylish, clean and safe hotel in a great location. A shout to the lovely staff. This is my new favorite hotel.

Loved Bourgeois Tibourg .it was cozy and quirky and very comfortable.I will certainly be checking in again as it is placed exactly where I wan5 to be for a fun few days in Paris

A great hotel in a central location. The bedrooms are small but very comfortable and beautifully furnished. Staff very welcoming

Lovely property and fantastic staff.

Excellent

Staff is amazing. So accommodating and nice.

The hotel was fantastic! I had such an enjoyable experience. It’s very chic and very Parisian. The hotel staff was incredibly nice, friendly, and pleasant.

Great location great staff

I just love this hotel! The location is terrific, and the staff is super helpful, I really appreciated the upgrade and willingness to work with me until I got the room I loved!

This is a gorgeous hotel. I’ve been staying at for over 25 years. Great location and the staff is wonderful and it’s super modern and beautiful inside.

Great location you can walk to all key tourist sites and a quiet street but close to all the bar cafes and restaurants

Lovely hotel in the best location for easy access to the Louvre and the Tulieries. Staff are so helpful and the breakfast was also great. Love coming back to this little hotel. Tres chic.

We had a perfect experience!

Great stay! Friendly staff, classic Parisian style, and perfect proximity to shops, sight seeing, and night life.

Very charming boutique hotel in wonderful location. But the standard rooms are tiny.

Great location. Very helpful staff

This was the second hotel we stayed in Paris. We had moved from the 6th to Le Marais and we much preferred the area of this hotel. If you are looking for an authentic top notch boutique hotel in the best area of Paris I highly recommend you book a stay at this hotel. The staff was beyond accommodating and helped organize a special stay for my partners birthday. They had a bouquet of flowers and fresh fruit ready for our arrival. They were helpful in organizing transportation making our last 2 days in Paris seamless and fun. The room was beautiful but especially the bathroom with a massive two person claw foot bathtub. Though we didn’t spend much time there I would certainly stay there again. A true boutique Parisian hotel experience.

Be very careful when you are looking to book this hotel. Don't just look at the rating, because almost all of that rating must be based on location. Look at the pictures, other reviews, read between the lines a little. This location was outstanding, but that's where good ends. The room was by far the smallest we've ever had in Europe. Unless you're traveling with just a duffel bag, there isn't going to be room for luggage...and you. The lighting in the bathroom is comparable to a night club bathroom, where you can hardly see anything while trying to get ready. Take a good look at the decor in the pictures. If you like it, no problem. On the other hand, for us it was the cheapest, tackiest, and most impractical decor i can remember ever seeing. The "crown molding" was literally wallpaper that looked like it had molding at the top. Anyway, so proper due diligence on the room and don't just believe the rating.

Super friendly staff, just a top location, lovely rooms and just nothing bad to say whatsoever

Fantastic

Great location in Paris. Lovely neighborhood. Great places to eat near by, and easy access to all the main attractions in Paris by bus or metro. The hotel is great, and the service, and people working there even better. Highly recommended. My only recommendation is that the bathtubs in the bathroom ( at least in my room) are quite high and not easily accesible for a person with mobility issues.

This hotel is a gem on a quiet little street in the center of the Marais neighborhood with many shops, restaurants, bakeries, clubs, museums etc, and walkable to the seine and all the sights of central Paris. It really is ideally located! The hotel itself is wonderful! Like walking into a jewel box. It’s cozy yet comfortable, beautifully decorated with nice sitting areas and tranquil center courtyard. Our room was modern, spacious and well appointed! The staff is the cherry on top! They were absolutely the friendliest, most thoughtful, attentive and professional staff that I’ve ever encountered! We had the most pleasant stay and will not hesitate to return. We will happily recommend this hotel to all our friends.

Fantastic property. Things work smoothlesly and seemlesly. Staff is super nice and beds are super comfy!!! I had a really pleasant stay, pity it was only for one night! Will definitely return!

Very good

Stuff were very friendly and helpful

A beautiful boutique hotel. The furniture was beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful. I wanted to stay in this area because it's next to my favorite shops and cafes, this place is a treat!

Excellent small hotel in great location. Quirky but tasteful decor and ambience really good. Much better than a large chain. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely use again. Lots of dining nearby.

Superb location in the heart of the Marais. Lovely breakfast in the vaults of the hotel. Nice reception (great candle scents!). We were on the 3rd floor and it was a little noisy outside but not too bad - if sensitive to noise, perhaps ask for a higher floor. Room really nicely laid out and decorated but very small, so pack light!

The room is not fit for two people and luggage . It’s simply impossible to move .

The hotel staff was especially helpful and considerate. We had a problem with a taxi being able to get to the street due to several street sweepers blocking all vehicles. The desk staff came out into the street, calling the taxi several times, and waiting with us until we could depart. The breakfast was lovely and was priced by whatever you ordered. We could have just cereal and coffee.

Excellent staff. Welcoming. Helpful. The entire hotel is superbly decorated. I could easily live in the lobby. With only four rooms per floor, it was almost like staying at someone's home. Only negative is that the room was small. I had to walk sideways to get from one side of the room to the other. But no complaints. A small inconvenience in an otherwise great hotel.

The staff were so kind and friendly! The hotel was cozy and in the vicinity of a delicious cafe and so many dining and shopping options. Additionally, it's about a 10 min walk from Challet Le Halles (a major metro/train stop) which made it easy to get everywhere in Paris. My only con is that Parisians like to stay up and socialize (loudly) every night of the week until 2am , so if your sensitive to noise or won't be joining the night life, request an inner room.

Hotel Bourg Tibourg is chic, clean, and the staff is excellent. A home away from home.

Liked the area very much. Liked the decor etc.. Room FAR too small - there was barely space to move around the bed. Shower in deep bath didn’t feel safe to get in and out of- nothing to hold onto.

Great location, it was very quiet, central and lots of great restaurants and bistros near by.

Wonderful historic property! Great staff

Wonderful, charming hotel with excellent staff in a great neighborhood in Paris. Near enough to a metro stop to get anywhere in the city we wanted to go, and there is so much to do in the immediate area. Very friendly staff who welcomed us for our honeymoon and made things very easy for us the whole time. The room was charming and cozy, although a bit small, but the balcony view was a bonus.

Outstanding and a real gem

The staff is five stars, flexible, helpful, wonderful.

I have stayed here probably 5 times over the years since it first opened, so you can guess that I enjoy staying here and highly recommend this hotel. However, you must know the rooms are beautiful, but very quaint. I was traveling alone, and had 2 sport coats, one suit, 4 dress shirts, 4 slacks and 4 ties. The closet was completely full even after I removed the nice bathrobe. Just be aware of this when visiting the hotel. This area of the Marais has transformed itself and many great dining and shopping options are quite close by.

Super close to lots of great places to visit and parking nearby

Absolutely spectacular location with plenty of restaurants and a patisserie a stone’s throw away. The rooms are tiny, but space is maximized. Wonderful-smelling shower gel and shampoo, very friendly and helpful concierge, and nice places to sit and work if need be. Beds and bedding are very comfortable. Balconies with table and chairs for fresh air. So much to do in the immediate area. I would go back in a second!

4 star hotel with no coffee in the morning?! in 2022??

I can’t say enough about how fantastic the staff was! So kind and helpful at all times. The rooms were gorgeous and I absolutely loved having a deep tub to soak in. We got the midsize room, which was perfect even with a lot of luggage. Nice big closet to store things jn. Window opened up to a lovely view. Always love staying in the Marais and am so happy some friends referred us.

Very clean and comfortable. Heated bathroom floors. ;) great location.

great location

This is a fantastic hotel. First, I've got to note that the rooms are small and the elevator is small, but this is pretty common for hotels in Paris. Aside from that, no complaints about the property. There is a nice courtyard and a pretty cozy lounge. The hotel's location cannot be beaten. Within just two blocks there are two grocery stores, two pharmacys, numerous restaurants, bars, cafes, galleries and shops. It is an easy walk from the hotel to many great tourist attractions, namely: Notre Dame, the Louvre, and many other museums, like the Pompidou, D'Orsay, and Picasso museums. This was great for me because I stayed during a major transportation strike. The most important thing about this hotel though is how great the staff is. I don't think a day went by when I wasn't using the concierge service for restaurant recommendations or relying on the hotel staff to make arrangements for me, like arranging car service from the airport, and other things. You could call or email and they were also very responsive, helpful, and prompt. I must say, A+ for customer service. They really go above and beyond to make your stay great. Very spot on recommendations for things to do and places to eat and very accommodating. If there was not a transportation strike, the hotel is very close to the metro. I highly recommend staying here.
