Artists' Colony Inn Zefat

Hello, the stay outgrew my expectations! The owners basically invite you to live in their house, in the same time they give you full privacy and independence. You can safely come there for Shabbat / Chagim and have everything kosher and taken care of!

השילוט חסר. חיפשנו המקום הלוך ושוב ומסתבר שהיינו ממש שם רק שלא היה שילוט הגעה ואנשים לא הכירו המקום

It felt so original, so organic. The art, too, the decor, exceptional. Everything about it works, as if from another place in time, a weave, natural in a Frank Lloyd Wright type genre, at one with the location, the landscape.

Beautiful unique rooms and gardens, serene environment, very friendly and accommodating management and staff. Fresh, hearty and healthy breakfast. We would definitely stay there again.

The rooms were very comfortable with a lot of that old Zfat character. My husband and I stayed in the 1 bed which was peaceful and romantic. The teenagers and bubbie were in the family suite with plenty of room. Thursday night at the Zusha bar right below the inn was an experience! Breakfast was delicious and the hosts were so welcoming. Leah even graciously coordinated a kabbalat shabbat mikveh visit, which was so special. A unique and cozy place to stay in the North.

Le seul bémol est l'accessibilité a l'hôtel surtout lorsque l'on est charge en bagages. On doit monter des escaliers et cela est un peu fatigant.

The place and location were exceptional. Close to everything. It was our dream to visit the city of Kabala. We had an amazing and truly spiritual experience during Shabbat. The owners were really welcoming. We wish them all the best for the future.

Shlomo and Lea that run the place are very nice, very welcoming and friendly. They were also very helpful with various questions we've had before and during our stay. The room is big and comfy. The inn has a special atmosphere with private balconies/gardens. The location is great - right next to Jerusalem street which is a main street with various shops and restaurants, but it's distanced enough that it's very quiet.

There was no option to warm up food

A beautiful and clean place in the centre of Zefat, with a friendly and generous staff.

I like everything about this place. The kind people working there, the facilities, the calm, the view.

The inn has a lot of potential if the owners improve comfort, service and food. Breakfast was not well organized, part self-service and part-served with only instant coffee. The room was promised with a private patio whose access was through a modified window and offered torn and dirty chairs. Would not stay here again on next visit.

Propreté à l'arrivée nickel. Sauf que pas de nettoyage de chambres pendant 5 Jours!! Depuis le changement de proprio, les petits dejeuners sont très maigres, peu variés et pas de refill.

Was wonerfull place and staff..

The room was quaint, comfortable and clean. We had a private balcony which was a bonus and the most beautiful view. The owner was easy to contact and quick to resolve any issues. The location was great!

Wonderful small Inn in Tfat. Beautiful inn walking distance to all the places to see in Tfat. Nice rooms and great outdoor spaces to enjoy. Susan and the staff were wonderful and extremely helpful with suggestions of things to do in the area. Breakfast was excellent and personalized. Extra treat was a pop-up dinner that we enjoyed at the Inn.

The staff were outstanding the architecture exotic. Breakfast was phenomenal, many items from the property garden. Location was great and walkable right in the middle of the Artist Colony. Be prepared for cobbled stone streets and steps. Thank you Susan for a great stay. We will be back.

Beautiful property, very spacious and comfortable room, very nice outdoor space. Huge tub/shower, comfy robes, lots of bath amenities. Bed was very comfortable, AC worked great, zero complaints. Staff and owner were extremely nice and very nice to chat with. Breakfast was delicious, simple but very fresh and more than enough. Only bummer is only instant coffee available. I found street parking in the back pretty close - not directly behind - and there are a few sets of stairs to get up there - but its good practice for your stay since you will be going up and down hills/stairs the entire time you are walking around town!! Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Artists colony. The staff and people staying there were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help us and make us feel comfortable. I feel they went out of their way to be helpful and accomodating. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay again if in the area.

This is a charming hotel in a great location in the picturesque village of Safed. It is a very intimate hotel with only a handful of rooms and a small dining room for breakfast. Our room was beautiful: clean and fresh with everything we needed. The owner, Susan, welcomed us personally and all the staff we met were eager to ensure that we had everything we needed during our stay.

Very old stone building. We loved the ancient vibes. IRA'S breakfasts and dinners were wonderful

This is a beautiful stone building built into the hillside, convenient to the Artist shops and the old town. The room was unique, very comfortable and the courtyards were beautiful. The morning breakfast was custom-cooked and plentiful. The owner offered lots of advice for places to see and things to do. One caution: the neighborhood is very noisy on Purim!

Small and intimate

Perfect location. Looks over to Meron and mountains from their courtyard, close to a Artist galleries, Jerusalem St, City Center and numerous shuls. Nice, spacious, clean, though simple rooms, wonderful and friendly staff, well prepared full breakfast included. It was not simply a place to stay but a home with friends. Highly recommend for your visit in Tzfat.

Really nice place. Very accommodating.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay. Excellent location in the Old City, a beautiful room, and wonderful service that you made you feel more like friends than guests. A must-stay if going to Tzfat.

The room was very nice and with a lovely small garden. But that is it... Would have been nice if the listing had stated that there was now service or reception on Friday/Saturday. The receptionist didn't know how to take payment so we had to pay by BiT and could not get a receipt. There was no one there at check out and no one to speak to. The TV didn't work properly

No one was there when we arrived 15 minutes after two hour anticipated window for arrival. It was then hard to contact anyone. We had trouble finding the place since GPS location was iffy. Only with local help could we find it. When they finally got there, people were helpful. The room way beautiful, but stayed moist and not fully comfortable. Be warned, there are many stairs to get to hotel and in town generally. The host was not on site. Breakfasts were very good. This is not a place to be anonymous.

We had the best single-night visit to this tiny hotel. Coffee available all the time. Personalized breakfast for us spread outside with a perfect view. Huge rooms and jacuzzi style tubs made for a relaxing welcome. Directions to the restaurant we chose for dinner. Highly recommend staying at this friendly female proprietor’s bed and breakfast. She has a gift of hospitality that all visitors will enjoy!

Suzan is just the perfect host! The place was like a dream, clean and comfortable, felt the history of the place but with modern facilities, the breakfast was perfect and more! And the room was huge for all my family, the kids were thrilled for there space. In fact we have never been in a place like this in Israel! Just perfect! We would come back for sure

Super schöne Unterkunft, die im kleinen aber feinen Safed zentral liegt. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig & schön eingerichtet. Der Jacuzzi im Bad dazu ist einfach klasse. Morgens gab es ein super leckeres Frühstück und auf die Wünsche meiner vegan lebenden Freundin wurde ohne weiteres Aufhebens eingegangen.

Where to begin. My daughter and grandson live in Tsvat so I was there to visit them. Susan made my stay with my daughter and grandson so special. I honestly felt like I was a guest in her home. She went above and beyond for me and my family. The room was beautiful and comfortable and the vibe so relaxed. Since my grandson is an infant, we spent a great deal of time at the Inn. My daughter got a staycation. The day I left was Shabbat and Susan graciously invited us to her home for lunch. We will be going back to Tsvat frequently and this is where we will he staying as I feel that I have a new friend in Susan.

The location is unique, the hotel is on multi levels, there is welcoming wine but no full bar, the breakfast was freshly made, the service could have been a little more attentive to our needs.

Woulnderful authentic Old City Tzefat atmosphere The huge beautiful well-appointed rooms, complete with domed ceiling and multiple patios, are in a centuries old stone building. Susan is the perfect hostess- Tea, coffee, fresh fruit (from her garden) and refreshments are laid out in a common area at all times the accommodations and the location were excellent. We hope to come again!

Susan is an amazing host, very personable and helpful. The room was beautiful and super comfortable and the property has a few 'spots' with tables and chairs that you can chill and enjoy time. Definitely want to go back!
