The East Wind Guesthouse

It was a lovely room with a mini fridge and microwave available for use in the lounge. Supper was available which was homemade and delicious. The towels, linens and pillow were wonderfully soft and comfortable.

Nettes kleines Häuschen mit sehr netter Gastmutter mit sehr guten Kochkünsten. Es gab ein kleines Zusatzszimmer als Wohnzimmer. Terrassenbereich konnte mit benutzt werden. Im Garten hinterm Haus laufen die Rehe rum. Man kann bei Ihr Abendessen bestellen. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und sehr gut.

Es gab keine Möglichkeit feuchte Handtücher aufzuhängen. Wünschenswert wären auch Kleiderhaken im Bad . Steckdosen gab es spärlich und an ungünstigen Stellen. Sehr kleines Zimmer. Leider war durch Wassermangel das Duschen eingeschränkt.

It was such an amazing experience to stay at Louise’s house. She made her place as a home for her guests while we were away from home. The house was sparkling clean with beautiful decorations, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was nutritious and delicious. Louise also provided us very helpful information for touring around. Clark’s Harbor was very quiet and super relaxing, we caught a beautiful sunset view, and saw a mother deer breastfeed a baby deer in someone’s backyard, what a surprise! I would definitely recommend this place for other guests.

Louise is an exceptional host and she has a lovely home. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious. Louise recommended places to visit and we were not disappointed in any of her recommendations.

The house was spotless and very attractive: view of the sea from our bedroom; great sunset from church road & our favorite beach just down the road. Dinner & breakfast were scrumptious!

Beautiful home - we had 2nd floor to ourselves. Wonderfully decorated. Comfortable bed. Very clean. Hostess was a wealth of information about nearby attractions and potential stops on our trip. Breakfast of yogurt with homemade rhubarb compote and french toast sandwiches was delicious! Resident cat on premises was super friendly!

I had a wonderful stay with Louise at the East Wind Guesthouse. The home was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and very clean. The best part of staying at this location is the host! Thank you to Louise for the wonderful conversations, hospitality, and most of all, the delicious food! I would love to go back and will highly recommend the location to others.

The hostesses were both friendly and keen to make our stay a good one. They succeeded. The property is immaculate and our breakfast was great. We were provided with plenty of information about the local area and our ongoing travels in Nova Scotia. Highly recommended.

Host Louise treated us as welcome guests in her home, not just paying customers. The accommodation is a lovely, comfortable room on the second floor of her house, and you are the only guests. A small lounge is also available for making tea and coffee. louise made a delicious breakfast and even sent us on our way with muffins. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

What a delicious breakfast and Louise gave us great advice about exploring the area. Cape Forchu is not to be missed!

The weather….which was beyond anyones’ control. Unfortunately it was foggy and we were unable to see the beautiful beaches.

The property was unassuming from the outside but inside was beautifully decorated and with interesting artwork . The bed was very comfortable and bedroom was spotless. Nice touches like quality toiletries and lovely soft , white towels in the bathroom. There is a lovely restaurant about 300 m from the property which was highly recommended. In the morning we had a delicious breakfast with juice and coffee.

it was perfect for a place to sleep and a delicious breakfast made by our wonderful host the next morning. we were in later evening, had the best dinner just down the street and then a great place to sleep with a clean, welcoming home. a great breakfast the next morning before we headed out again on our journey

could be a tv in the rooms incase you need to kill some time, but we weren’t there very long and had no issues.

Everything in this professionally refurbished older home looked new. Louise was very pleasant and very accommodating in preparing breakfast. Bed was very comfortable.

Pleased with everything. Just be aware this is a small guest house and you might have to share the bathroom with other guests.

Very clean and beautifully designed interior. Decor in Home and Room was exceptional.

Guests have whole top floor of house. Own bathroom and a “lounge” room with beverages and reading material and a couple of chairs. Breakfast was wonderful- French toast, sausages, yogurt with berries etc. Interesting chatting with owner.

What a beautiful house and a more than accommodating hostess. We really felt at home with Louise and also received great tips for our onward journey. Thank you very much for that. The room is lovingly furnished and extremely clean. The breakfast was also excellent. All in all, a wonderful stay.
