Provider-sourced guest reviews.
The breakfast was discontinued as of September 30th. That was a surprise but the owner explained why so not a problem. Great place and recommend to stay there.
We were comfortable during our stay although the room was pretty small and suffered from noise due to other guests coming and going
Access was difficult due to resurfacing of the driveway. Hopefully that is now resolved. We found the room small for 2 people. Breakfast options could have been better.
Breakfast was excellent! I was disappointed that there was a work crew there and they were loud not keeping their door closed. Visiting and drinking. It seemed very loud going out to smoke they were below or window on the deck which the noise wood carry! We were by the stairs so it was always activity going up and down!! They would be up early which I understand they need to go to work but down the stairs and doors shutting so made an early morning for us!! Are they suppose to smoke away from doorways ??? The place was lovely but just disappointed with the noise!!
Pancakes and sausage for breakfast, delicious! Bed was very comfortable, it’s a lovely place.
Was a nice large clean room. staff who came in to make breakfast were very friendly and the food was great. Was nice to have access to a fridge. We made use of the TV common area.
This was a lovely, welcoming, new B&B with an excellent breakfast.
Pretty nice place. Room was a little noisy at times with a poor door seal on the interior door letting even the smallest noise from the hallway in. Other than that, it was clean, reasonably convenient, and met the expectations. Exterior door access was convenient.
Room was pretty small but did the job
wonderful breakfast each morning and very comfy bed! All that we needed!
Very large room but was on the third floor and had to carry luggage to room. Comfy bed, nice shower.
The room was smaller than the cabin we had on the ferry coming to Newfoundland. The homemade jan was wonderful.
Lovely place with quaint rooms and great breakfast.
Nice quiet stay.
Breakfast was great! Very enjoyable sitting around a big dining room table talking with other travellers and exchanges stories and places we have been. The new "boat" accommodations in the back lot look very appealing and fun to stay in!
Unfortunately, we had the Beluga Room which is very small, has no window ( except in the bathroom), and opens into the entrance ( so if partner opens the door any other guest coming in sees directly into the room. The walls are thin as we could hear conversations in the common room as if we were sitting in there. Really in all, a lack of privacy. There was a hot breakfast with delicious homemade jams.
The room was a bit small and very noisy, especially at night. It was clean though and new and breakfast was good
Breakfast was good. It just needed some updates
Super comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good too.
Great!
The main house is ok, there are some additional rooms on the property that are converted fishing boats which is where I wish we’d stayed. The breakfast was underwhelming.
The room was very nice. Bathroom spacious. Kitchen area was a little crowded, but made for good conversation. It felt more like a hotel than a B&B. There was no one there upon arrival, so there was no one to ask questions about the area. And there was no literature about the area. The fact that it was a hot breakfast was a nice surprise. I would definitely book a room there again
Very functional property. Nothing fancy but that’s what you get for a reasonable price. Check in was seamless. Had a problem with our tv and got immediate response. Excellent breakfasts included and great to chat with other guests while eating. Our room was pretty cozy but I guess that’s what you get when you book several months ahead and don’t remember what you booked. Would stay again if in the area.
Breakfast was not what we expected, it was two pancakes and sausage. Around there everything is closed by 8:00 and if you don’t have a reservation you going to starve. The room was amazing that is the only thing I found nice.
Loved it! So comfy, beautifully kept. Fun breakfast with guest and food was delicious. House jams, fruit, pancakes, sausages, juice, coffee, te.
Excellent breakfast lovely host❤️
A full beakfast was served to each person's liking and the food was delicous. It was great to have breakfast with the other guests. Good conversation. There was a lot of choices to pick from for breakfast. The room was very good with a very comfortable bed and a beautifully tiled shower. We would recommend this B & B.
Room was too small, but overall the stay was good
Only stayed one night. Everything was as expected. Delicious hot breakfast was a bonus.
Great spot in Twillingate! Perfect location, easy check in, nice room, good breakfast. Would stay again.
Excellent room and shower! Breakfast was basic. But it was nice to meet other guests in the morning. Everyone was very friendly.
The owner Tina was very accomodating & helpful & kind.
We enjoyed our stay - the breakfasts were very good.
ok place to stay. Good location but no view.
Seul point négatif les cha bres nd sont pas du tout insonorisées. On entend tout des cinversations des voisins
Absolutely fabulous. Highly recommend!
W
Our room (Fin - rooms with whale names), while comfortable was quite tight with luggage and stuff. So pick carefully. Would be great for those with limited luggage. Bed VG, quiet and excellent breakfast and great opportunity to mix it up over coffee with other guests! Would stay again!
It was good
Right off the highway, so location was convenient but not attractive. Appears to be a purpose built B&B. Upon arrival a note asked us to leave our shoes inside the door and put on (provided) knitted booties. I found this off putting. Room was extremely small with nowhere flat to put books, computers, etc, Wifi Staff at breakfast were not social. Breakfast was okay.
very clean and close to everything
This is a clean, very nicely decorated bed and breakfast. The room was comfortable and I appreciated that it had air conditioning as well as heat. A different tasty breakfast was served each day we were there. The service was excellent. I didn't love having to take my shoes off inside, but I admit that I was very impressed that my white socks were still clean after walking around the common area and our room, and the wooden floors are pristine. The location was very convenient to everything we wanted to do. An excellent place to stay!
Lovely place. Good location when visiting Twillingate. Great communication from hostvwith check-in info and location
A beautiful bnb in a beautiful town. We had a room with a balcony which was a lovely place to sit. The living room is also large and a pleasant place to gather.
Clean comfotable room, private washroom, very friendly and helpfull staff. Highly recommend
Very good breakfast and had a comfortable bed
Nice clean property, every thing was fine, neat clean and tidy. The only down side, our room was the only room on the property that didn’t have A/C and we were in a heat wave. It still worked out pretty good as there was a ceiling fan and a portable fan and we did ok. All in all a nice place to stay and they offered a decent breakfast too boot.
Comfortable bed, breakfast was good, fridge to store items. Second night was in the boat room outside , just wasn’t informed that breakfast wasn’t included and we paid more for that accommodation. The cook the day before told us. Boat was unique but bed was lower and not as comfortable as inside the house
Breakfast was good.
Great home-cooked breakfast by a lovely Newfie!!
Excellent!!!!! Right from checking in until checkout. Breakfast and the lady that served outstanding. Thank You we will be back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Admirals Bed & Breakfast during our stay in our favourite town that we visited in Newfoundland. The owner gave us a personal tour of the inside of boats on their property that they are converting into cabins & also provided us with a booklet with all of the Newfoundland pins. Great place to stay at when visiting Twillingate.
The room and bed were extremely comfortable. Was a nice balcony outside our second floor room that we enjoyed immensely. Great breakfast as well.
This place is gorgeous. Friendly staff. Very well maintained. Highly recommended
The best B&B we stayed in NL. Property in very good condition and spotless clean. Everything was well organized, including access to fridge and electric kettle outside of breakfast hours. Central location to all tourist spots. Great breakfast.
We stayed in the beluga room. It was a small room, bed took up most of the room. There was no closet or storage area. We couldn’t put luggage under the bed as there was a frame that went to the floor. My husband and I had to jostle around the bed to get to the bathroom Breakfast was pancakes & sausage
The room was very clean. The breakfast was delicious.
We had a small bedroom on the main floor. Pictures show exactly how the room looked. A bit small for my liking. However, bed and pillows were comfortable. The main dining/living room area was freezing cold as the air conditioner was blasting, therefore you could not sit in the general area.No staff around to help with the situation.
Loved our 3-night stay. Located conveniently close to trails, town, and tours as well as to the dinner theatre. Breakfast was wonderful and served quickly. Very clean, and the staff was very accommodating with extra towels when we needed them. I did miss being able to open my window for fresh air, as the AC unit took up all the space. Loved our stay.
Loved breakfast, great staff, room was nice, comfy bed
It was a nice B&B with comfy amenities and a good breakfast
This was my first b&b and we had an excellent time. The room was super clean, shower was excellent, breakfast was great, other travellers super nice and there were snacks to snack on in the common area (cereal).
Real nice restored older large home.
We had a good one night stay
was a great to stay in Twillingate.
Clean. Home made breakfast.
Very reasonable price. Breakfast is delicious. Quiet, clean. Overall very good experience.
Arrived early and were accommodated with a early check-in. Friendly accommodating staff. Highly recommend
The room was next to the breakfast room so after 7am it became noisy, but if you get up before 7am it will not be a problem for you. The room was extremely tiny so we didn’t have much space for our backpacks and hanging up clothes. The only small window was in the shower so we found it a bit stuffy in the room. But the breakfast was great as the host made pancakes and sausages for us and we got to try all the yummy homemade jams! Will come visit again and stay in a different room!
Very cozy and friendly
Nice view, good neighborhood. Good facility, spacious and clean
Good choice to be here, very close to the boat tour place. Fresh breakfast is amazing, make me a excellent beginning of a day!
Comfortable property. Quiet, even with a full house.
The lady who made and served the breakfast was working hard to serve 16 people fresh pancakes and sausages. There was also cereal, tea, coffee, yogurt, and homemade jams. The pancakes were HUGE and fluffy and the coffee was great! The room was clean and quiet. It was fun to have breakfast with people from around the world. Very nice and cozy place.
The breakfast was delicious. The air conditioner was loud and went on and off too frequently.
We thought this was the cutest little place! The breakfast was delicious and I liked that it was different each day!
Very spacious and comfortable room. Great breakfast.
Great location in Twillingate - room was small and right off the entrance but modern, comfortable and quiet with a nice bathroom. Hot breakfast available but very limited options and not a lot of continental options if you were no interested in the one hot meal option.
Everything perfect. The only aspect to improve was the noisy floor when walking (probably disturbing the guests below us)
Very cozy place. The homemade jam is amazing. Love the breakfast
Very nice property . The owners were awesome , very hospitable and gave us great information regarding nearby trails. Our room was quaint and tidy but small . I booked it when only two rooms were left online so I would recommend booking earlier .
easy check in, clean, new facility, friendly, helpful staff.
The B&B was spotless and the staff were warm and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the overall cleanliness and care taken with the space. Breakfast was a bit limited — no fruit or cereal — and the shower had very low water pressure. Also, more surfaces in the room and bathroom to set things down would be helpful. Still, a pleasant stay overall with great service and potential.
This is a very nice B&B, conveniently located in Twillingate. The rooms have nice decor and the bed was quite comfortable. The hot breakfasts were very good. Our only issue with the property is the lack of soundproofing between the rooms and the floor levels. We could hear the folks above us walking around, toilets flushing, and one night I heard someone snoring in another room. However we did sleep well as most nights everyone is very quiet.
Nothing to complain.
Lovely home! Comfortable room and a good breakfast with friendly hosts
We spent two wonderful nights here. Clean, quiet and close to everything we wanted to visit.
This is not a traditional B&B experience since the owners, neither an inkeeper, live at the house, so interaction with staff will be marginal other than being served breakfast. We had 2 different couples serve breakfast the 2 mornings we stayed and neither made any attempt to get to know us or have the usual chitchat that you typically experience with B&B owners or staff. Since breakfast (satisfactory, but not great) was served in a very short 1 hr window, all guests were eating at the same time which meant easy opportunity to chat with other guests. Everything about the house looked not more than a year or two old, which meant very nice furnishings and comfortable bed. Also the room and bathroom was spotless clean. Our room was tiny, as were 2 other rooms I noticed with their doors open. No room for anything but the bed and one small chair. TV was small and positioned on the side of bed, so we watched TV in the shared living room, but keep in mind 2 bedrooms are located off the living room. Oh yes, also experienced the common issue of thin walls as we could hear a neighbor snoring and folks talking in the downstairs bedrooms while watching TV. So yeah, it was an okay experience, but I'd try another place if I ever visited Twillingate again.
It was a lovely place to stay for a night and breakfast was included, served family style, so we got to connect with other travellers.
Lighthouse and boat accommodation
The view from the 3rd floor room was fantastic. Everything in the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious.
Lovely, comfortable accommodations. Our room had a balcony which we thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast was satisfying. Location was convenient to the main street of town. Not sure how I feel about self check-in. I feel disconnected from the proprietors. But it seems to be the norm in Nfld.
Private, location and breakfast.
Lovely B+B. Very clean and quiet. Good location. Walkable to most of our destinations. Well equipped rooms and friendly hosts. Would recommend this property without hesitation.
Ok
Excellent hosts, very friendly and knowledgeable. Very clean room. Breakfast was excellent each morning. Twillingate is a great place to visit.
Some building going on
The B&B was charming and had everything we needed it really felt like the owners thought of every little detail to make guests comfortable. We used the facilities, and everything was perfect. We also had the chance to meet the owner, who was a wonderful person.
Great owners, attentive to you needs and ready to chat anytime. Breakfast was wholesome home cooked food. Quaint town. 3-4 days enough to see everything especially if there are icebergs to see!!
Room was small but clean and was good enough for us for the night. Despite some of the negative reviews we read about the breakfast experience, overall we were very pleased with it.
