Helpful staff, nice atmosphere and stunning location
Nothing that the hotel had In there control
Extremely friendly welcome, set up brilliantly for dogs, delicious food, excellent service from all staff.
Our bedroom door would not close unless pushed very firmly - something wrong with the spring loaded mechanism.
The Full Scottish breakfast is epic. The bar is very friendly and has a good stock of beers and whiskey/gin
Staff were very friendly, food was good and reasonably priced. Location was good for exploring the island.. only area of disappointment was our room. Whilst comfortable it was very small and sold as a sea view. Te window did look out to sea but was very small. If we go again we would certainly look to see if we could get a slightly larger room.
Nothing really.
Very clean, the staff were excellent and very friendly

Great spot

Love it no problems really friendly welcoming.food amazing Booked room 10 separate bathroom No problem for us great view from bedroom peaceful great sleep comfy bed xx
Golfing men in next door room 9 on 2nd night spoilt our stay up talking loudly playing computer games till 5am
Great hotel, great staff and great food! Very dog friendly too.
La posizione è ottima perché è centrale rispetto all' isola. Colazione fantastica
Quiet, comfortable room, well stocked whisky bar, friendly knowledgeable staff, substantial breakfast perfectly cooked.
Only there for 1 night..
Downstairs the "newly refurbished" decor etc. is pretty stylish. Comfortable seats and sofas - really nice Tweed materials and a nice space to sit , chat /have drinks or/and play a game of Pool. It is, though, a thoroughfare (especially busy on a weekend - in High Season of course, to be expected). The staff mostly friendly, efficient and helpful. We were staying two nights and check-in time was at 3.pm. That was not a problem. Our room had new windows, shower room and doors . The blinds really nice in a Tweed style material. Same room as we had had before. Having stayed here before , when it was un re-furbished, it is a lovely area to be in it is basically quiet apart from weekends. Lovely to see some doggies around. in the downstairs area . Good views garden area and free parking.
Too many rules ( rather like school). Have to sign in a book at what time breakfast you will attend just as you go upstairs at night. We had to miss the guest breakfasts as they were too early for us on holiday . At 8.45 a.m at the latest we didn't want to be rushed. On asking, this was explained by saying Mountain climbing guests have to start early so the breakfasts do. That I understand of course. Not all of us are Mountain Climbers , and I don't think the Hotel has thought this out properly. 10a.m check out too. It is 11a.m at most nice Hotels, so it felt rather rushed to pack up and go. The tables are crammed in together downstairs in Dining Room - more covers provide more money quickly of course. This was indeed a very unpleasant experience when we had Dinner , or drinks in the Bar- particularly at one end.. A very small space between each- so people could easily hear each other's conversations. We hurried up becuase of this , and it appears the aim is "get the money and quickly!" Some staff sounded over trained to sound nice and helpful, others just fed up towards the end of the Season! Best for youngish people who are fit I think and not suitable for an elderly couple who don't wished to be rushed.
The food was excellent as was the general ambiance of the Hotel including the bar. The staff were very helpful. Extremely dog friendly which I appreciated. A comfortable and relaxed experience.
The room was good but the sloping roof was a bit of a challenge on occasions! Ensuite facilities were excellent.
Position
Dogs in dining room
We chose the hotel specifically as we had a dog and that was the main reason, our dog over rides our concerns always, she is our baby.
I don’t want to complain, although a couple mis-haps rectified and that is satisfactory for us.
Very friendly staff, relaxing stay
Clean and tidy and the food was good
Excellent food, welcoming staff, incredible location
The room was a bit small and had no view from the very small window, and the bed was a bit small. However this was a late booking and it was at the height of the busy season, so we were glad to have been able to get it.
We stayed in Room 8 and, unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by both the room itself and the way our concerns were handled. Shortly after arriving, a member of staff was sitting on the stairs smoking. The cigarette smoke drifted directly into our room, forcing us to close the window almost immediately. Having been awake since 5:00 am to travel to Arran, we decided to have a sleep at around 4:00 pm before going out for dinner. However, our room is situated next to the bar toilets, and the hand dryer could be heard repeatedly from inside the room. Over the course of around an hour, it went off roughly every three minutes on average, making it impossible to get any meaningful rest. I reported this to a member of staff, who apologised and said they would see if another room was available, asking us to come back in around ten minutes. When I returned fifteen minutes later, I was told the owner would come to our room. The owner came to listen for himself. Before we could fully explain the situation, he told us to “be quiet” so he could hear. During the 5–10 minutes he was in the room, the hand dryer activated twice, clearly demonstrating the issue. Despite this, he insisted the noise was quiet, said they had “never had complaints of this nature” and that over 700 guests had stayed in the room without complaint. Whether previous guests complained or not has no bearing on whether our experience was genuine. We were not asking for compensation; we were simply asking for a practical solution. Rather than trying to resolve the issue, the owner repeatedly offered us a full refund if we left, commenting that he would rather refund us than have us leave a negative review. He also criticised us for trying to sleep at 4:00 pm, describing it as a “working hotel and pub”, despite the fact that guests are entitled to use their room whenever they wish. He even suggested we book into Auchrannie instead, despite this costing considerably more.
Very welcoming staff. Nice touch that there was a welcome pack for each of the dogs. Certainly they are very pet friendly. Food was very good.
Would have preferred an ensuite bathroom rather than a private bathroom. Also my sister struggled with the stairs so the location of the room was not ideal.
Lovely stylish comfortable room with a great view. Really friendly and welcoming staff. Great bar area and fantastic beer garden.
Nothing
We had a wonderful stay and were particularly impressed by how dog-friendly the hotel is, we received a "dog pack" with a toy, treats, and bags upon arrival, a very thoughtful touch. We really enjoyed the breakfast, the selection of drinks, the beer garden, and the relaxing atmosphere of the open reception area where we spent some time playing pool. The views from our room were beautiful, especially in the mornings, and we felt very well looked after by the staff—a special shout-out goes to the slim gentleman with the glasses, who was incredibly attentive to our needs.
There were a couple of areas where we feel the experience could be improved for future guests. We booked a room with a "private bathroom," but we weren't aware that it was located separate from our room, which caused a bit of an issue regarding privacy, though we didn't spend enough time indoors for it to be a major problem. Additionally, Room 11 became quite unbearable during the warm weather because the window only opens about 3 inches, and the standard tower fan provided wasn't enough to manage the lack of circulation. However, we must commend the manager—the same gentleman mentioned earlier—who quickly resolved this by providing us with a much stronger fan from the laundry room, which made the rest of our stay much more comfortable.
Despite having one of the little rooms with shared facilities the experience couldn’t have been nicer. Room and hotel had everything a traveller needed and the shared bathroom was clean and no bother at all. Food at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was fantastic with local produce and the staff couldn’t have been nicer.
The staff were lovely and very welcoming, the food in the restaurant was amazing and such high quality. An exceptional welcome for our dogs.
The location and the food
Having a separate bathroom and no TV
Great location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, nice bar and restaurant, lovely seaside beer garden
A bit on the expensive side, but that’s Arran for you!

The atmosphere, the friendly staff, comfortable bed, beautiful location, very quiet and very friendly dogs none of which did we hear a single bark. Very comfortable bed, everything was spotless. Loved the preset named tables for breakfast, good menu
Room: There was no towel rail in the bathroom, no place/shelf to put ones wash bag, shaving gear, etc, in the bathroom, no TV in the room, a little cramped.
Really good location and very friendly staff, very nice food and a very comfy bed
Only issue was a lack of places to hang up clothes
Great location, immaculate accommodation, friendly staff
Nothing!
Location, beautiful hotel. Excellent food
Bedroom doors were very noisy when closing
Great breakfasts, friendly staff, fantastic location, comfortable room, return visit

Food was exceptional, staff were very friendly. Loved the fact it was an independant hotel.
Our friends had a double room but the bathroom was in the hallway. No robes supplied to get to and from bathroom.

The property is well located and value for money
No tv
Lovely staff, good quality furnishings, amazing beer garden
Tiny room in n second floor. Advertised sea view from a very small window and only while standing up
Duel aspect room so very light and airy. Lovely outside space. Delicious evening meal - haggis starter was amazing. Good plentiful breakfast. Very enjoyable stay with beautiful sunset.
A coffee making machine in the room would have been excellent.
Superior dog friendliness. Excellent food and views. Great property and staff.
Great location with fantastic views of the Clyde. Great bar and restaurant with good beer and reasonably priced wine. Friendly and attentive staff.
Room was perfect, clean and tidy including bathroom. All the public areas were clean, tidy and comfortable. Dinner and breakfasts were really good.
Very friendly hotel, amazing food, beautiful location, lovely rooms, stunning veiws to wake up to from very comfy beds, and tunnocks wafers for dunking - somewhere I'd love to return to soon!
Very minor, my room had the bathroom across the hall, a little unusual, not an issue on the whole but tiresome to lock and unlock my room/bathroom going back and forth.
We travelled as a group on a recommendation of one of the group members, The hotel is quaint and old fashioned breakfast is good but if you are a group ask to be accommodated together other wise you sign the available time you can. There is good parking at the front of the property an excellent bar and whisky library. However the lounges and bar get very crowded at the weekend
There are no TV's in the room, the Wi fi is as expected for an Island slow so its more a case of detox rather than look for faults. The room was small and poky so luckily I wasn't in it much except to sleep.
Facilities immaculate, service great, oceanfront location!!

Super freundliches Personal.

Sehr freundliches Personal.
lovely hotel and location and friendly staff
. Food was not up to standard of hotel - dinner or breakfast
Good.
Dining room floor messy from Previous evening dinner, 3 out of 4 mornings.
Location was perfect for our road trip
There’s nothing that was dis-liked
I loved the stay, we slept well, we ate exceptionally well and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The upgrade of the hotel has definitely been done to a high standard and the staff were attentive and friendly. I really appreciated the chair in front of the window to look out on the stunning scenery. I sat there for quite some time after dinner relaxing after my long day working.
I like a bath in more expensive rooms, though I was aware the room I booked didn't have one, so it is not a critical point. I totally appreciate the cost of the room for the area though the room wasn't quite as big as I've had in other places on the island of a similar cost.
It has been refurbished since our last visit, very nice indeed

Loved the breakfast but sadly didnt get the chance to try the evening meal or lunch. But will be back to try the food. Brilliant sea views. Staff were excellant
Neat single room with sink: all you need. Excellent location.
Gutes Haus mit sehr guter Küche
Lovely location. Clean room & very comfortable bed. Staff were excellent

Great location with a view of the sea from the window where I spotted a pod of Dolphins. The staff were excellent as was the very personable General Manager. The food was great, which is why it's so busy. Arran Glenashdale hand gel in the bathroom - I love the smell.
We didn't have an ensuite but that was probably my fault for not checking properly. The only real issue was that the fire-doors are very loud when they close which comes as a bit of a shock when your in bed.
Location, friendly staff, great food and Lottie the hotel pooch
Loved it all
The hotel is in an excellent position and is clean, well furnished and has charm. The staff were helpful. The breakfast and supper choices were good.
Very disappointed that our private bathroom in room 11 was down a public corridor. Suppose we have got used to en suite facilities so having to put on a bathrobe and be seen going to and from the bedroom to the bathroom in the evening or overnight was very unexpected. I’m unsure how many rooms were not en suite but considering we booked several months ago, this was very disappointing. Also surprised the room was not serviced after our first night’s stay. Don’t need clean towels every day nor necessarily expect the bed to be made, but clean cups and tea/milk renewed would have been helpful. However the manager did sort out the cups/tea/milk aspect for us promptly.
Very friendly, helpful, professional staff. Relaxed atmosphere & quiet surroundings. Great views from the sea facing room. Excellent food & well stocked bar with variety of gins & whiskeys.
Good condition Nice bar area
No TV in room
The Hotel is in a lovely location, with a large pleasant outdoor area with seating across the road with excellent sea views. Accommodation and catering were excellent

Excellent staff, great location and fabulous food
Room needed a little tlc
We had a really lovely stay at The Corrie Hotel. It’s a charming place with a relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful setting right by the water. The food was great throughout our stay, and the whole experience felt welcoming and easy. The staff were friendly, helpful and always happy to chat, which made us feel right at home. A lovely spot to unwind and enjoy the island.
A lovely stay overall, but if I had to pick something, the evening meal didn’t feel very romantic. The lights were quite bright, and it would have been nice to have a slightly softer, more private atmosphere so we could relax and chat more comfortably.
Proximity to sea, warmth of staff and room generally
Some difficulty parking
Unfortunately on the first day the breakfast took over 45mins to arrive. The eggs weren’t cooked ( egg whites still raw) porridge cold. The set serve coffee ran out so did the orange juice. There were no plates for the toast but the tea was good. The actual Scottish breakfast was ok with scrambled egg. The problem was that though the poor staff member did his best to he needed someone else to cook whilst he was taking orders and serving at tables. Management under staffing in the day was the main problem. The evening meal though was excellent. They obviously employed a chef for the evenings as they also catered for external guests.
The other issue was that we had paid and expected en-suite bathrooms but the bathrooms were separate in a public corridor ( though the actual bathroom was private) you had to walk past other guests rooms to get to the bathroom. The was no towel rail in the bathroom or bedroom and our family’s bathroom bin had not been emptied from the previous guests.
A beautiful hotel in a fabulous location. Staff were superb helpful. Great dinner and breakfast!
WiFi was poor.
Everyone was very welcoming and friendly, really loved the dog pack, treats, a toy and some doggy bags, really enjoyed the room, nice view of the ocean, I had breakfast and dinner here, the food I had was amazing, (southern fried chicken burger) (crispy chips) and (coleslaw) all was absolutely amazing, had the Scottish breakfast, can't go wrong with that, delicious, all round absolutely great, this is our second time staying here, and it definitely won't be our last, will be back again very soon hopefully ,🤞 thank you

There is a a warm welcoming atmosphere from all the staff. The hotel has been recently renovated and the facilities are now at an excellent standard.
Absolute hidden gem and definitely should have 4 stars instead of 3. The hotel is beautifully decorated and has a lovely cosy vibe. The bar has a superb selection of drinks. The rooms are comfy and spacious with an incredible view of the sea. They give you a little welcome pack for your dog and have clean towels and poo bags in the entrance for everyone to use. It has an amazing fish bar ‘Mara’ a few doors down. Absolutely loved everything about our stay.
There’s limited parking directly outside the hotel but there’s plenty on the street before and after if need be.
Spotlessly clean and quirky newly refurbished hotel. Lovely food, freshly prepared. Ideal coastal quiet retreat.
Not that we didnt like it but please note the rooms do not have tvs in them. Come enjoy and get into the lovely and at the weekend, lively bar.
Fantastic overnight, great value , lovely food friendly staff. Well refurbished. Great location, great hotel
