Close proximity to my family, friendly staff

Shower had mould on the floor, the room was facing the parking so heard cars and had headlights coming and going all night. TV channels worked intermittently

There was a party near my room- i was not made aware of this arrangement. The staff did apologize for this but the noise was unbearable.

Breakfast lack fruits, dinner not appetizing at all I was disapointed with their steak so dry and vegetables. Those mattresses need to be changed its totally unexceptable

The road to the property is gravel for about 3km. It was not mentioned in confirmation of booking. When it has been raining, the mud and uneven road negatively affects a small vehicle from driving in and out. There were small flies in the room day and night. No air-conditioning available in the room., just a fan

The place is well looked after by a team of people who care about the place and the people staying there. Would definitely stay again. Sthabile was particularly friendly and made sure we were very well looked after. Thank you!

Despite letting them know our time of arrival, the room wasn't ready. No one to help carry our luggage. The fridge was unplugged, so warm. No ice. Only one towel. The bathroom floor mats were crunched up. The toilet seat was stained brown. Breakfast was well cooked but cutlery was filthy as were the glasses. The patio was used by a party and was not cleared. Once cleared the floor remained littered. The pool was going very green. The photos don't represent the establishment at all. Won't stay here again.

Outside light not working, bath leaking (we started a bath and it leaked water all over the floor...we were on hands and knees mopping up) and no key for the safe (we needed a safe as we were attending a function and could not carry our firearm).

The rooms are not soundproof or at least some sound dampening. We could not sleep due to the other guests talking in their room. No quality checks on the state of things. My eyes saw them ... our water in the fridge was frozen, the rest of the things that we put in the fridge also froze. The breakfast sausages were horrible... cheap "cold meat sausage". The second day of us being there, other customers asked if there were more yogurt, ... they said there were no more. They were German customers.. I thought this was just bad. I gave my yogurt to them. The description on the booking app and the room we were given did not match. There are quite a few bulbs that needs to be replaced, and painting is hanging scew... from the dining area to the room.

I liked the location - in a sprawling garden with lots of trees, birds and flowering plants.

The food was overpriced and nothing special.

What a beautiful place. The staff were very accommodating, so helpful, very friendly. I would recommend Owls Loft Guest House to anyone needing to stay in the area.

False advertisement Rooms wasn’t the way I expected

The space and quality of the rooms and service from the staff was excellent.

The noise/sounds of foots steps from the above room was loud and distinct. Not sure if it was because the people were purposely doing it or if the flooring is not insulated well to stop the noise from coming down.

Shower gel was not filled up and had to use the hand wash gel to shower

The landscape was beautiful and the pool. The staff was always willing to assist.

Our first room that they offered us was terrible and didn’t smell nice but the staff offered us another better room. No breakfast variety options.Also the room that we booked was supposed to have a microwave and coffee machine which wasn’t the case. Seemed they were operating on low budget to be quite honest. Most of the comments under this property are either old or bogus because they not a true reflection of the place.

The place was clean and beautiful. Breakfast was amazing and Sithabile was a woderful host. We were even allowed to cook our own Christmas dinner.

Some additional attention needs to be placed on controlling flies because of the stables nearby, but we honestly had such an amazing stay that we forgot about them

Everything was great, it was a lovely and peaceful 3 nights stay, the staff was friendly, and the hospitality was great.
