I don't know if it is a mistake by Expedia or the hotel, but it is nowhere near where it is indicated on the map. Its way out in the jungle.

Reviewed Nov 12, 2020We booked a 3-night stay at Residence 8 to do things we had not experienced in our previous trips to Sun Moon Lake, including a stay at a quieter location, away from the crowd and noise. Residence 8 more than met our needs and expectations. We left early on day-2 for mountain hiking, earlier than the scheduled breakfast time, and the host packed us a lunch sack! We loved our stay and highly recommend this property!

Reviewed Nov 8, 2019環境靜謐.有滿滿的綠意. 房間舒適安靜.室內處處可見設計的美感.戶外有露營區, 但一點都不吵. 床非常好睡.我家大人小孩都睡得很安穩. 早餐跟房內的小點心都很好吃.老闆的手藝是大廚的等級. 走到熱鬧的街道上大概20分鐘(小朋友腳程計算).八番的一切都很值得!謝謝可愛的老闆非常貼心的接送我們~ 去日月潭會想再去住!

The house is a bit off the main street and the lake (still within walking distance of ca. 1km). The owners also host a beautiful camping site here so off-grid camping can be an alternative choice.
