We love everything - the villa with pool was excellent and all the staff were wonderful. We had the best vacation ever! We love the villa with pool and the staff were all great, welcoming, friendly and helpful.
We like everything
Friendly staff. Always trying to do the best for you, Location. 5 minutes driving from city centre and Vanilla Beach. Facilites. Restaurant in front of the beach.
-
Absolutely beautiful from the rooms, staff, property maintenance and location right on the beach. This place is fantastic and after substantial travelling all over the world I would rate this place as one of the best ever.! Highly recommend to anyone and you won’t be disappointed
NOTHING.!!!!
Great facitities and the rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The staff were fantastic! Everyone was very friendly and helpful with everything.
This is not the property's fault, but I would want to know this before booking. Next door is a very loud bar. In the afternoons/evenings they blast house music. There's no avoiding it. If that bar wasn't there, Buko would be the perfect tranquil getaway I was looking for. But if you like to party, it's just next door.

Fantastic location, setting, staff, ambience and food.
Nothing.
Very comfortable private setting. Food was excellent.
The resort is absolutely beautiful—peaceful and far from the hustle and bustle of El Nido, yet it’s very easy to get around as tricycles are readily available at very low prices. The staff are incredibly helpful and attentive, always ready to assist with anything you might need. You can truly rely on them for everything, which made our stay even more relaxing. The restaurant serves delicious food at very reasonable prices. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up having dinner there every evening, and the cocktails are excellent as well. I highly recommend booking the tours through the resort. They include the environmental fee, towels, and snorkeling equipment. Just a small tip: you might be asked to pay again for the equipment on the boat, but simply mention that it’s already included—otherwise, the boat staff may not be aware. In the end, it’s actually more cost-effective than booking on the street. We booked all our tours through the resort and were very happy with the experience.
We went to Buko Beach Resort as part of our honeymoon, it was the perfect place. The staff could not have been more attentive and friendly, the location was paradise, the hotel itself was magical. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough. We adored it. Thank you to the Buko team for making our stay so magical.
Didn’t stay long enough.
Everything. The location, the facility, the food and the service. All we're amazing.
Internet was a bit slow. But that was the only minor downside
Staff is fantastic, they go above and beyond. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, location is nice, away from El Nido town but short trike ride to town. The help with tours, transportation and really anything we needed assistance was professional, thorough and executed with a smile. The bungalows are picturesque. Went to Lio beach via hotel arranged transport for the day and recommend that, did a boat trip and did a canopy walk. So many terrific restaurants in El Nido town and outskirts. Our Garden villa living space was generous, lots of nice touches such as bug repellant and a beautiful welcome for our group.
While the resort cannot control this the upstairs bedroom gets lots of noise from the neighbors and roosters.
Einfach alles !!!
Cozy, right on the beach, but not far from main road. Beautiful villa with native Filipino touches. Yummy custom breakfast delivered to Villa. Exceptional staff that were always warm & welcoming. It’s rare to find service like this where they can almost read your mind.
Nothing! We loved every thing!
Tout était parfait ! Une pépite cet hôtel ❤️🙏🏻
Nice little resort with very friendly and attentive staff. They take care of details and your comfort.
However, for the price, there should be at least one complimentary coffee per person (such as an espresso or macchiato) and one fresh juice. Unfortunately, despite being a beach resort, the beach is not usable as the sea is smelly and contaminated.
Absolutley amazing! We stayed there during the typhoon Tino. The hotel staff was super friendly and so welcoming. It was our honeymoon and we felt very special, because they decorated our room. Everyone was taking great care of us. The food was amazing as well. We highly recommend staying here. We will come back one day.
The sound of the waves when you are falling asleep— impossible to describe! The friendliness helpfulness of the staff was unmatched!
This property is absolutely spectacular in the way it holds the local tradition and modern life! Everything around looks like in the middle of the nature, like a tangible contact to the island flavour and life! Everything is absolutely suitable for any preference including here the moody people and the proof for this is that the people who is administrating and getting in touch with gusts, they do hold the best teamwork, they are trying to turn your holiday into a magic even if they are fighting with a typhoon. I would right here so many things they are doing in a daily basis but it will take 8 and 8 days to put on the paper because every and night it was a perfect story for us. Among the things they are doing: perfect romantic dinner, bringing flowers for the in-loved couple, arranging the perfect oversee tours, excellent attention to every detail! The Buko Resort excellence is staying in the hand of: Jasemin, Aira and Ritchelle (receptionists) Esmeralda (everything about in-house) Krizza and the all the guys from the Buko Beach Bar Wonderful local people who are playing your happiness in memories and in a memorable staying!!!
Everything was perfect!
Nada
The staff from start to finish is first class in every way. From check-in, check out, room cleaning, setting up activities, restaurant staff ….everyone is NOT PAID ENOUGH!!!
We loved everything
Service, comfort, views, room for 11 people.
Beautiful, service is great, lovely resort!! Highly recommend!
Assolutamente tutto!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The hotel has a beautiful design; the cabins and everything else are built with bamboo, giving it a unique and beautiful touch. The problem is that there are too many "bugs." I mean, on several occasions we saw rats (yes, rats) swarming freely around the hotel, even inside the room (on the ceiling). Even though you know where you're traveling in these types of destinations, in my other stays in the Philippines I've never seen anything like that. It was a disaster and distressing to enter the room. We also had a visit from a bat that soiled the bathroom with feces. Very bad in that regard. Management needs to take care of or manage this issue much better. I wouldn't go back; in fact, we should have left sooner.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. In der Umgebung sind viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten vorhanden.
The staff, the rooms and the care during my entire stay truly made my trip! Unfortunately, I travelled during a time when terrible weather was expected (nothing anyone can control, it’s July, and knowing I was travelling during an off-peak season, I expected this to happen) and also experienced an injury on my first day (something I did NOT plan on experiencing, haha), and was pretty much stuck at the property during the entirety in my time at El Nido, I retreated mostly to my room. I gave a heads up to the staff days before that my flight and arrival at the accommodation would be earlier than expected, and they were gracious enough to have me wait in one of the rooms while my accommodation was getting ready. I commend the staff, from the front desk to the resto, to the staff from the spa, and everyone else in between for helping me out during my trip. From getting me a tricycle to the nearest hospital after hearing about my injury to assisting me over the little things despite the storm during my trip. I really felt the alaga/care and I appreciate everyone’s help and assurance during what would be such a stressful time for myself as I was travelling solo this time around. Buko Beach Resort really made it feel like home, from the beautiful rooms, and the hardworking people that make up the resort; they were the silver lining in my trip and I’m so thankful! I can’t wait to return with my family this time, when I’m physically able and when the sun’s out.

I was lucky enough to stay in Cottage 1, which is located right across from the pool and the sea. This hotel is very well located, outside El Nido and just a 5-minute scooter ride from the town center. The hotel staff are very professional and incredibly friendly. Everything is perfectly organized, and you have the chance to stay in a luxury hotel with only 20 guests, which guarantees extraordinary peace and quiet. I can only recommend this hotel, which, unlike other luxury hotels stuck on islands where you can't go out in the evening, allows you to enjoy El Nido.

great place
Family stayed in three rooms and all were wonderful. Some rooms (Garden Villas)have mosquito nets to sleep under and ours (Studio Loft) had electronic mosquito repellent. They also provided mosquito repellent lotion. The Garden Villas had private detached bathrooms that were nice. Studio Loft were regular bathrooms. The Studio Loft had an amazing open loft that could sit our family of 7, fully equipped “outdoor kitchen” with a sink, burners and fridge and plenty of lounge space. The beach was steps away, didn’t swim in it, but views were gorgeous. The daily breakfast was delicious!! I didn’t swim in the pool, can’t review that. The staff was attentive, friendly and made our stay very pleasant. Highly recommend staying here!
Wonderful people, beautiful views, relaxing accommodations. Highly recommend
Our family of 6 stayed in the Garden Villa. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The food was delicious. Our rooms were very comfortable. We enjoyed an island hopping tour that included lagoon kayaking (bring cash for kayak fees as you will pay at the lagoon) and snorkeling. The pool and beach are just steps from the villa. The restaurant has a perfect view of the ocean, but you can take your meals in your villa if you prefer. If you are a light sleeper, ear plugs are provided. Mosquito treatments are also provided and we had no problems with mosquitoes. If you have a rainy day, you can choose an in-room massage. We enjoyed our stay and would return again. We highly recommend Buko Beach!
Absolutely recommend! Wasn’t sure when booking, but upon arrival and throughout the trip, the stay at Buko Beach was one of the highlights of our trip to El Nido. We loved it so much we extended a day. The staff was wonderful and attentive, and the property is gorgeous.
What a wonderful place with wonderful, happy, and helpful staff! The room was beautiful and the towels were done so artfully -- we were in two different rooms and they made a birthday cake of towels in one, and beautiful towel swans in the other! So creative and cute. Atmosphere was fantastic. Right on the beach, with beautiful vistas. Food was excellent and a very wide variety--plus a willingness to customize orders. Plates were full of food...had to take leftovers usually, which they would gladly re-heat for you on request. Often ate outside our room, which was nice. And the Front Desk was soooo helpful -- setting up tours or transportation or making solid recommendations for activities based on your desires. My wife and I LOVED our stay here!
Staff were excellent - extremely helpful, kind and responsive to our needs. Breakfast was nice. Nice sea view. Good location.
While the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout our stay, we ultimately found the experience wasn’t quite what we were expecting and decided to leave three days early - primarily due to bugs and bites. Unfortunately, we were not refunded for the unused nights. The hotel leans heavily into an eco-focused, nature-immersed concept—which may appeal to certain types of travellers looking for a more rustic, outdoorsy experience. For example, the bathroom is located outdoors. While this isn’t inherently negative, we hadn’t expected to be attacked by so many bugs and had anticipated a more conventional luxury resort at this price point. The pool area was also quite small with limited lounging space, and there weren’t many alternative facilities/activities available on-site.
Breakfast options were excellent and delicious. Pool was on the smaller side but sufficient and overlooked the beach. Room was spacious and clean. Bed came with a mosquito net. Bathroom was partially outside and big - very cool and unique but also warm. Staff were helpful. One of us fell really ill during our stay and the staff were there to help call doctors, provide medicine and help with transport to the doctor.
A little far out from el nido town centre - just to be aware but a quick tuk tuk drive.
It's a beautiful resort, peaceful and quiet. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast was excellent with a restaurant looking out on the beach. The pool has a perfect size just to relax. The design of the room is gorgeous with good facilities and a fridge in the room.
It's a beautiful outside/outdoor bathroom but the toilet could provide more privacy as people outside can hear you
The location was on a quiet location of El Nido and Corong Corong beach. It felt like a very natural rainforest oasis and resort in the hustle and bustle of El Nido. A perfect setting with the bar and restaurant overlooking the bay and the nightly sunset. The restaurant food had exceptional variety for all tastes. The rooms were exceptional in keeping with the whole rainforest theme. Bamboo construction and an outdoor bathroom a highlight. There is also a good variety of other restaurants within walking distance as well
There were two items they need improving. The floor surfaces were slippery, we had a number in our group who fell or slipped on wet and slippery floors. The restaurant had a great variety of food available but this led to long delays in food being delivered to table after ordering
Stayed at the Buko Beach Resort for 4 days..there are only 6 cottages and a couple of rooms to stay.. the ambiance was very laid back..just the sound of nature..the cottages were beautiful and the bathrooms were undoor/outdoor...very large..the staff was very friendly, especially Krystal..she always had a smile on her face..beach is not really for swimming..we did enough of that on the island tour..but there is a pool
My family and I loved every minute of our stay at Buko Beach Resort and it is one of the best resorts we have been to in El Nido, hands down. Location is perfect for us since it is far enough from the bustle of El Nido town, but not too far away that a trike ride will leave you bored. The pool villa was as advertised on the website and in photos here on Tripadvisor. Seeing it in person, though, makes you appreciate the entirety of the place -- a beautifully furnished villa with expansive common areas filled with thoughtful touches like insect repellent and filtered water in the bedrooms. Good job to the housekeeping staff for providing us with enough rolls of toilet paper that we never ran out of it throughout our stay. Of course, the food is excellent. A bit on the pricier side but portions are good-sized and the ingredients are fresh (their ceviche is a must-try). Everyone on the restaurant staff, especially Rose, Rollan and Krystel, were very kind and accommodated our requests. Our stay became even more memorable because of them. All in all, no regrets in choosing Buko over the other resorts in El Nido. I am so glad we ended up here and I can't wait to go back again.
Buko was the perfect stay in El Nido. The rooms are amazing, an outdoor shower and bathroom which completely emerses you into nature. The bedroom itself is exactly what you need and want after a beach day. The locations is also great, It’s just about half way between Las Cabanas Beach and El nido town. It’s walking distance along the beach to the ‘Pops District’ which has the most amazing selection of bars and restaurants to watch the sunset at. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and helped us with everything we could possibly need. They organised tours, mopeds and transfers to other places. Really good breakfast selection at the property with a beautiful outlook onto the beach. Could ask for more.
We stayed in both garden villa and the private pool villa.Place looks georgous.Staff are genuine, friendly and prompt with all requests. The villa is idyllic and pool bordering beach is fabulous.Place is well maintained.Food is reasonably priced and you could eat 4/5 days in a row without running out of options. On the downside there is a terrible smell of sewer that comes up the drains and through the air-conditioning system.Pretty revolting. This is an ongoing issue here prior to our visit..When you consider the cost of the accommodation this is totally unacceptable!!!!!No excuse. If you know you've got a problem like this you do not excessively charge!!!Of a party of 7 plus 1 child 6 plus 1 child got seriously sick.Medical centre and hospital. I'd blame El Nido water here because it's common throughout the town and totally contaminated. Think ice, water cutlery is washed with, salads. The accommodation itself has a very active rodant issue. Their BIG.Which means they aren't young rats.Whether it's rats coming from outside it's still not acceptable. Having considered my review before writing I'm of the opinion that the marketing of the accommodation is fabulous but disappointed that money isn't spent on ongoing issues. This is an ownership problem not staff..Mould pretty prevelant in all shower area walls.Again too pricey for this to be accepted. It's not a hostel! We stayed 18 days so review pretty accurate.P.s.Corong Corong beach is a place to base yourself but it's a bad beach with dogs everywhere and grubby...
Amazing accomodation, the room, the food, but especially the staff are amazing. Would surely come back to this place!
The staff were amazing, location wise it’s down by the beach which has an amazing sunset. The room was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. It’s a nice and quiet spot which was very relaxing. Would definitely go back.
Where do I start. Such an amazing place. Exceeded our expectations. Photographs do not do justice as it is truly stunning. We booked the Garden Villa and it is so beautiful. Beds and pillows are extremely comfortable, and normally I have problems with them in other hotels. Staff are so welcoming and ready to help you with anything you need. We booked tours, water fall excursions, quads, everything with them. It is cheaper to book the tours with them that to do it with Viator or GetYourGuide. Food is amazing and they brought to the Villa every morning. Quite big quantities but we asked for less quantity the other days. We loved Ensaimadas and Pan de sal, that were not in the menu, but they brought it for us. The sunsets are truly amazing and the swimming pool is perfect as well and we were the only ones using it. Food at their restaurant is very good too. There are many restaurants walking distance but the resort is quiet and peaceful.
The beach is not for swimming as it is very shallow and the water reaches to your ankles, but they have amazing beaches 5 minutes from the resort. We took trycicles every day and they are very cheap. We also went to beaches 45’ from the resort and they arranged the taxis for us too.
bot
Enjoyed the location, good food options at bar/restaurant & staff was great!
Great location, Amazing staff, beautiful sunsets.Such a relaxing resort.
There was nothing we didn't like.
My friend stayed at the loft and it had a kitchen. Lighting was dim though to do some serious cooking. It’s nice that their gift shop had interesting finds and cool tshirt designs. Their food was superb and cocktails was also good. Extensive menu! For a minimum consumable of P1000, you could already use their pool. Since it’s located on corong-corong, it had an icky smell after the heavy rains therefore the 4-stars.
If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet vacation in a magnificent paradise... Look no further. Buko is the place for you. Buko beach resort was our first stop on our honeymoon. It's a beautiful and peaceful piece of heaven. The staff is amazing, always smiling, always positive, taking care for all of your needs. The room is clean and beautiful. The outdoor shower is so cool, it was private and intimate. The restaurant have a variety of dishes and cocktails. It was really good. We loved the pool the most. Located on the edge of the resort and on the entrance to the beach. It really was an unforgettable vacation which we really recommend for everyone. Buko was a great start for us. Hopefully we'll get back there in the near future.
The neighbour's rooster.
we stayed 6 days, just returned, we lived in the Beach pool villa, a paradise of greenery and tranquility, but I must emphasize the service of the staff, it would take 6 stars!! always ready, available, kind and competent, I had researched all the other structures in El Nido before booking this and my expectations were confirmed if not even exceeded. I highly recommend it!!
The staff were absolutely amazing - super friendly and always ready to help with a smile. The location of the resort is perfect - very peaceful and quiet, but still close to El Nido. Perfect location to watch the sunset. You can see that they put a lot of thought, effort and craftmanship into building this place.

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful place for four nights. The location is stunning, and the concept of the resort is truly unique! It’s not your typical ultra-modern and impersonal resort like so many others. Instead, it is designed as a collection of bungalows built using traditional techniques, giving it a distinctive and charming touch. The bungalows are small villas/studios made of bamboo and masonry, featuring beautiful style and design. The architecture blends perfectly with the surrounding nature. The resort is set within an exotic garden overlooking a breathtaking bay, with particularly stunning views at sunset. The location is excellent—just a short distance from Pops District, El Nido City, and all the main attractions in the area. Yet, despite its proximity to these places, it maintains a sense of privacy and authenticity that sets it apart from many other accommodations in El Nido. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. Aira and the entire reception team were so helpful, providing lots of useful information! The internet connection was perfect. Before arriving, I had read some reviews mentioning noise around the resort. While there are some nearby bars and hotels that play music around sunset, it’s nothing unbearable. Considering the location, the resort still offers a level of privacy and tranquillity that is hard to find in the area. A slice of paradise!
Stop looking for a place to stay in El Nido, and reserve a cottage here. You won't regret it! The location is fantastic, the rooms are gorgeous (and spotless), the staff is SO friendly and attentive, the food is great, the sunsets, the pool...Just everything you could want for a quiet, restful stay in paradise.
Buko Beach is a beautiful, small resort with an incredible staff. I was not feeling well one day and multiple team members made sure that I had medication, ginger tea, and electrolytes. The room was beautiful and the grounds were lush. We loved staying there and recommend it highly!
Gorgeous paradise-like gem.
Beach is not suitable for swimming
Aira and the team at Buko Beach Resort made our holiday stay such a pleasure. Everyone's expert hospitality and attentive service were evident throughout every part of our visit, from the reception desk to the restaurant to the gift shop. Our cottage was charming, roomy, and well appointed. The pool was refreshing and clean after long days in the sun.
The island design was very exotic and authentic. We really enjoyed it. Although the toilet was under thatched roof the fresh air lent to the island motif. The shower was also in fresh air and quite lovely. The room exceeded my expectations. We highly recommend this adult only accommodations.
We had a great time Our group was a party of 8 in the pool villa The staff were helpful the food was good We were glad we choose Buko for our stay in El Nido
Perfect position on the beach (though you have to walk a long way for it to get deep enough to swim). Friendly, helpful staff and well designed rustic room.
‘Sea View’ room was actually a view of the restaurant and then the sea beyond which was surprising and disappointing - and not as shown in the photographs. As we arrived we were told of construction work next door. This should have been communicated from the start. The cooked breakfast was pretty much inedible with hard, overcooked eggs. All a shame because otherwise I would recommend this hotel.
a proper boutique style traditional little resort directly on the beach. the staff (Estephanie in particular) were really nice and helpful and arranged a great tour for us. Wonderful breakfast. A proper Philippines experience
Grounds Swimming Pool Access to beach Breakfast & menu Bar
Happy with all elements

The staff is very helpful and friendly, the location is spectacular and the food at their restaurant is delicious
Great break
Beautiful place with extremely helpful and friendly staff!
We loved our stay at Buko for our honeymoon. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and special. The room exceeded our expectation and was better than the pictures. The room was comfortable and clean. It is in walking distance to many restaurants. We hope we can return!
Great experience, staff were excellent and facilities were great. Amazing sunset location in the evening by the pool
Enjoyed a lovely stay at the Buko Beach Resort. The rooms are lovely and pool area great for sunset views. There were a lot of mosquitos when we stayed but the hotel does provide mosquito coils for the outside shower and toilet area and mosquito repellent. The resort is close to some excellent restaurants, notably Cala, Chabacano and Bela Vita. We arranged a private island hopping tour via the hotel and it was competitively priced compared to private tours offered in El Nido main town. The hotel is on the beach but it isn’t great for swimming, Vanilla Beach is great and is walkable. Lastly the staff were friendly and helpful.
The walkway is not well lighted. On our attempt to walk out to the main road at night, we were greeted with a big German shepherd. We had to turn back to our hotel room.
Location of the rooms/villas in the middle of a very nice garden. Very nice style of the rooms/villas. Very quiet. Nice view on the beach in the morning during the breakfast. Nice staff and very helpful. El Nido downtown, Las Cabanas beach, Tours departure, are all very easy to access. Nothing to complain about.

This place was amazing! Its located in a quieter part of the area, but only 5 minutes from El Nido Town. The breakfast was outstanding and the service was phenomenal. They allowed us a late check out which gave us a bonus day in El Nido. They also were very helpful arranging our tours. This is truly one of the best accommodations our family has had anywhere. The beds were all super comfortable I strongly endorse them!
