The room finishes are starting to look tired and worn. The price difference with the WM Hotel is very little and the quality of the rooms at WM are significantly better.

Either better room rates or start refurbishing the rooms. Better clarification on Booking.com as to the facilities.

Marvellous uncrowded swimming pool that I enjoyed every day. Patient, helpful staff who answered my questions and solved all my little problems. Next to pier with constant activity, things to see, boats moving, people fishing or doing tai chi in morning.

Pictographs on wall showing way to eg reception or weight training room are hard to interpret. No fruit on breakfast menu.

To be honest nothing , the room was big but dirty

Under construction , there was dust and plastic wrap everywhere , our room was super humid all of my things were wet , dirty floor , smelled like someone was cooking , pool under construction and closed , restaurant /bar under construction

- Beds were comfy  - Breakfast was very nice (though we had to buy cereal separately for our son) 

- Rooftop pool advertised, but only a pop‑up pool and building site in reality  - Breakfast served for adults but not for our 6‑year‑old son, despite him being on the booking  - No restaurant or bar beyond the breakfast room  - Misleading advertising and poor service overall  - Booking.com offered no help when we tried to move hotels and still charged full price 

ヨットハーバーが目の前で、部屋から海や空を眺められる非日常を楽しめた。屋上でゆっくりするのも実に心地よかった。朝食は彩りもきれいなウェスタンスタイルで、タンパク質もOK、４種類から選べるので5泊しても飽きなかった。スタッフがとても親切で、困った時に親身にサポートしてくれた。

徒歩圏にコンビニ、スーパーがなく、西貢で買ってミニバスで戻る必要があった。ホテル内に自動販売機が見当たらず若干不便だったかも。

Nice balcony and roof top sea view and tables.

They re-used "used decoration balloons" as "Birthday Setting Package" and charged me $500 for such service, although the package included a bottle of red wine. After I complained to hotel manager that those decorations were now new but re-used, the manager then did not charge me $500. Secondly, the pillows cases were extremely terrible when I checked in. The looked like somebody had slept on them one night ago.

Wir bewohnten v. 17. bis 19.12.25 das Hotel. Bis 12.01.26 keine Rückerstattung der 1000HK$ ohne Angabe von Gründen. Seit ein paar Tagen werden unsere Mails gar nicht mehr beantwortet, absolut unseriös. Tür zum Austritt, was als Balkon angepriesen wird, war nicht abschließbar, Diebstahl jederzeit möglich.Der erhöhte Preis rechtfertigt gar nichts, nicht mal Balkonmöbel gibt es.

Расположен на берегу живописной бухты Hebe. Достаточно большие номера по меркам Гонконга. В номере есть кухня и посуда! Это несомненно большой бонус. На завтрак 4 варианта блюд + напитки. Не очень большой выбор, но порции внушительные. Завтрак в кафе, в которое надо идти через улицу :D. Отличный сад и бассеин на крыше с большим количеством мест и красивый вид на бухту.

-Дороговато, но в Гонконге все отели дорогие... -На втором этаже у некоторых номеров вид из окна - стоянка/гараж с гидроциклами. Но нам это было не принципиально. -Нет универсальных розеток в номерах! Но на ресепшен дают переходники и зарядные устройства.

Not great view although it is next to the sea but we are facing a water bike company. Staffs are not very helpful. I tried to ask about ferry to tio beach but they don't know anything and ask me to check with the boat owner!!! I booked a pet friendly room including breakfast but the restaurant for breakfast is not allowed for dog dining in. There are only two bar tables outside, hot and the big fan set just behind your head!! Pet friendly hotel with non-pet friendly restaurant!

食物味道比較重口味，overall是可以的 地點不方便 沒有餐廳 房間床單有污跡，即時安排更換

The ocean view was amazing, i like the lighting in the room and spacious layout. The kitchen and dining area, sitting area overseeing the ocean view were great.

Cleanliness of the room, there's still balloon left under the bed carpet, floors are little dusty and not sure why. the marble floor edge has a corner that is chip might be a potential danger hazard for young children.

More healthy choice of breakfast like Hebe Haven Yacht Club next door would be good for the Hotel. Also portions are too big I think Buns/bread (egg benedict etc) very hard

The corridors and rooms were cold in March however staff were very good and supplied a heater. Reverse AC would be good.

The staff were great. Always very helpful and friendly.

The property is tired. Needs an update. There is a full kitchen but the cutlery, plates, cups etc are all mismatched and in some cases missing. We had to ask for an extra glass and a cup for coffee. There was only one tea bag for a black tea. That said we asked for some cups and teabags and they were delivered promptly. The breakfast was sound but not amazing. Given the price compared to a bigger and newer hotel in Sai Kung the value just wasn’t there for room or food quality. The rooms are big, the view is good, the windows don’t open to allow the fresh air to come in. We did think we were getting a balcony and the rooms did allow the doors to open but they were locked. Our mistake in maybe not reading the room booking correctly no doubt. Notwithstanding we had an enjoyable stay. but mostly thought it was overpriced compared to another hotel nearby.

The hotel put a hold on the credit card till we arrived so we had over £1000 locked even though we chose pay at property.

The location. We are here for family matters so the location is great. Anyhow, Sai Kung is a great place to be.

I stayed back in December 2023 so maybe this has changed - I have no complaint about the breakfast selection - although we stayed 4 nights and everyday very similiar selection of takeaway - and in the last two days we opted for not having that anymore. The delivery staff were friendly and polite. My only concern was the amount of plastic containers they used for this style of breakfast and I suggest the management to consider a more environmental friendly options for breakfast delivery or re-opening their restaurant for the cause.

The sea view from the room is spectacular. I can see all those yachts at the Pak Sha Wan Pier. The room is quite spacious compared to the same tier of hotel. The gym consists of a treadmill, rowing machine, cycling machine and free weights with a bench. The breakfast included is exceptional, I chose all-day breakfast and it was a full one. It would be perfect if there's a coffee machine so that I can make latte etc.

The quilt is rather thin so as the pillow. It wasn't comfy actually. The staff are really helpful. But, interestingly, the staff on duty is too few that the front desk staff is same as the one who come to the room. I think it is due to the scale of hotel isn't that scalable.

The room is spacious. All day breakfast is great. The location is a bit far away from Sai Kung town center but the hotel is located in a scenic points. Rooms with a sea view are suggested.

There are a lot of negative comments and low scores on booking.com, but some are no longer true now.

Random kitchenwares in the room.

We almost always stay at the Pier every holiday we get. It’s our family’s go to for staycations. It’s quiet and close to everything we want to do in Sai Kung.

We are here for family obligation so the location is perfect for us. Easy connection with public transportation to mtr or Sai kung. They also have shuttle bus but we did not take it. nice view of the yacht club. All staff friendly and welcoming and try their best to facilitate our needs when asked. Have a small gym but since you are in Sai Kung it’s better to run in the nature! Shower is great with good pressure.

Just small things - breakfast (as at Dec 2023) is served in the room - it was ok but we produced so much plastic waste from it… and it’s not so flexible with the delivery timing in case one wants to sleep in. the hotel has two “half floor” even we stayed on the first floor we had to move about 20steps down with two large suitcases - we did not need help but would be nice if someone would offer helps. Also, the door person at the car park could provide clearer instruction for whether we need to pay parking fee or not if we are dropping off inside the car park as hotel resident. Since entering from the front entrance there’s another set of stairs and we had big suitcases.

I am local and I have visited the hotel 3 times over the past few years, because of the serenity view and quiet vibe. However, the experience is a bit off this time. The room facilities look a bit old than before. For example, the toilet room door is locked from inside accidentally and we have to ask for technician to help in the middle of the night. Moreover, I mentioned about the visit is for birthday celebration. Before, there was some little birthday decors like ballon or chocolate in the room, but this time there was nothing at all. I know it is not a must but I can't help but feel a bit disappointed.

Location are excellent

Th facilities looks worn out. No kettle and hair dryer were provided in the room, which are fundamental.

1. The soap and shampoos where in big bottles, unlike 70% of other hotels. 2. Their rooftop has a nice view of the harbor.

1. The room is not clean. There were dust/mold/sticky residues on the curtains/switches/wires. 2. The smoke detector is blinking lights and is on top of our bed. It is impossible to sleep. 3. Their air-condition is very loud. 4. This hotel provides the saddest breakfast you will ever experience. The miso soup is 1/8 of the bowl. It is like they are saving water. 5. Their swimming pool is just sad. 6. Their check-in is at 3p.m. but it is a must to check-out at 12p.m. 95% of the hotels in Hong Kong have better time space. It is not recommendable to book with The Pier Hotel, not even if they lower their overpriced rate by 500%.

The pool area is really nice. there are some seats facing the sea where you can relax.

The main issue is the breakfast. basically the room rate include the breakfast but there is only one option: Japanese breakfast. sorry but eating sushi at 8am is not what I expect. I prefer coffee with croissant. so basically I paid for a breakfast I didn’t get. I complain to the desk but they said this is the only option and they can’t refund the breakfast. I was not happy as nowhere on booking you advertise they offer Japanese breakfast. anyone expect a buffet breakfast with continental food and Asia food. it’s not ok that we are not informed of this unusual style of breakfast. Also the room is nice but there is a big humidity issue. if you don’t leave the air con it become very humid. also the air con drip on the walls.

In summer time the pool area would include outdoor seating. Rooms were really nice with good size balcony. Staff were lovely. Boat at the hotel pier takes you directly to Trio beach. San Kung Geopark is only a few minutes from the hotel, and there are plenty of boats to other beaches from the local town.

There was no bar or lounge area, only the restaurant.

Love the location and that’s why we’ve been regulars coming back.

More detail to the cleaning of bathrooms and a better supply of towels please!

The bed was large and very comfortable. The room is spacious. The setting is relaxing. The shower large and nice.

There was a bad smell in the bathroom that persisted for the entire stay. There is no view from the room. When I came to drop my bag off, the clerk at the front desk helped the person behind me first without acknowledging me. The breakfast options are all set Japanese meals with noodles and grilled meats, the food is good but won't suit everyone.

The room was spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen. The staff were all amicable and courteous. Breakfast was delicious. The chef has nailed that sweet potato and chestnut croquet. Close proximity to Sai Kung centre, comfortable and reasonably priced. Overall, extremely happy with out stay and would definitely be returning.

Pretty happy with everything really but there were some room for improvements. There’s not much nearby, would be great if the vending machine has more variety of snacks. (a corner shop next door have very basic soda drinks and snacks though.) While breakfast was delicious, it was the same menu everyday. More shuttle services to Sai Kung centre would be great, especially in the morning and mid day.

It’s our fourth stay at The Pier. We like the location of the hotel and the peacefulness of the hotel.

Super comfortable rooms with balconies facing the perfect view of an authentic Sai Kung oceanfront. I think this hidden gem deserves more than an average rating of 7/10 on booking.com - compared to other 4 star hotels I've stayed at in Asia, this hotel stands out in terms of its room size and the pricing of the rooms make the value of this hotel amazing.

The manager was very kind and helpful, upon check-in the balcony door was jammed and he immediately offered us another room. Unfortunately the pool was closed although it was 35 degrees but overall was a lovely stay!

- As many other comments. Mouldy smell in the room was really unpleasant. They need to do something about it. We've had to ask for a deshumidifier and perfume but wasn't enough. - Breakfast really poor. Only Japanese options. zero western. served to your room but in plastic trays. You can't even have an orange juice and a coffee. It's one or the other... Really not 4 stars standard. - There is no bar or restaurant. thanks god there is a nice english pub next door. - Cold atmosphere at the reception. decoration minimal. no charm. no smile. - That place could be so much better if it was properly managed
