Reviewed Sep 10, 2026Considero sempre louvável a reabilitação de um edifíco antigo. Neste caso, um monumental mosteiro. A dimensão é enorme o que implica custos de reabilitação proporcionais a essa dimensão e terá tido como consequência soluções arquitectónicas mais económicas. Gostei muito do edifício. Já me tenho alojado noutros antigos mosteiros convertidos em hotel e a sua grandeza, imponência, passado histórico e o ambiente inerente criam sentimentos de respeito e de admiração. Num dia quente, o ar condicionado não funcionava. Era já de noite e preparávamo-nos para deitar. Liguei para a recepção e resolveram com a ligação de um ventilador, que resultou. A alternativa, que primeiro propuseram de mudarmos de quarto, àquela hora, não nos agradou.
Já referi os acabamentos económicos. Por exemplo, o pavimento do quarto é constituído por painés de contrapalcado, que não foram aplicados com o devido espaçamento e o chão range, quando se anda por cima. Há também uma solução de esgotos que obriga a implantar as retretes muito altas. E há escassez de tomadas.

Zimmer sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sehr großzügiges und modernes Badezimmer. Im ganzen Hotel befinden sich liebevoll gestaltete Erinnerungsstücke aus vergangene Zeiten. Der Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall!

Reviewed Sep 10, 2026Hotel Monumento Paza de Orban is an absolutely charming hotel in the old quarter of Lugo Citadel. Renovated to high standards whilst retaining its unique history. Ask Maria to show you the photograph of the house when it was first purchased. Situated adjacent to the Roman Wall once you have navigated the streets in your car it's a must that you reserve a car space during your stay. Its a quiet location. Maria provides an amazing buffet breakfast with selections of meats, cheese, cake, cereals, fruit and yoghurt etc. Cafes and restaurants are very close by. There is a lift which is very useful. The rooms are spacious. We just loved this hotel.

El precio es excesivo para los servicios que ofrecen, los paradores son más económicos. A pesar de ser una habitación superior y decía tener amenitis no tenía nada, ni siquiera pasta de dientes la pedimos y no la tenían. Los precios del bar muy caros, el vino el doble del resto de bares de Lugo y el desayuno desorbitado el precio, para lo que ofrecían, solo un zumo de naranja te ofrecían, no había bollería solo bizcochos, ni platos calientes y muy poco embutido si gran variedad de quesos.El precio del parking muy elevado también. En conclusión precio muy elevado relación calidad precio.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026Très belle surprise. L’hôtel est en plein cœur de Lugo, à l’intérieur des remparts et à deux pas de tout. Accueil vraiment chaleureux, chambre très agréable et, cerise sur le gâteau, un parking privé dans l’hôtel alors que tout le centre historique est piéton : quand on arrive en voiture, c’est presque un privilège !
Honnêtement, pas grand-chose à reprocher. J’ai cherché pour remplir cette case… mais je n’ai rien trouvé de suffisamment sérieux pour l’écrire !

El Internet no funcionó muy bien, el bañera fue incómoda y no pude hacer muy caliente el agua y no pudimos hacer café ni té en la habitación.

Para mí lo imprescindible es una buena cama y almohadas, y totalmente insonorizado. Ha superado mis expectativas. El personal super amable y la entrada de la puerta después de las 12 increíble!!; y la cuidad super detenida en el tiempo, limpia, y la gastronomía sin comentarios. Volverémos seguro.
Tal vez me faltó un colgador para los toallones en el baño, pero es algo superfluo.

There was a slight delay to accessing the room outside the control of the hotel due to the total eclipse rush, however, the hotel proprietor was very helpful with recommendations for places to visit and phoned us when the room was ready.

No hay un ápice de renovación en la decoración, lo cual puede ser correcto, pero el hecho de que te coloquen en una habitación cuyas vistas son unos andamios en un hotel "pazo monumento" se avisa

No hay zonas comunes, ni un sitio donde sentarse salvo la cafetería que sirve desayunos (considerando los precios de la ciudad bastante caros) y no siempre está abierta. En la habitación no hay ni una botella de agua gratis (4,5€ en la nevera) y tampoco hay cafetera o similar. La cama bastante incómoda con una barra en el centro de la de matrimonio. Pagas bastante por tu perro, has de firmar un escrito comprometiéndote a que no va a ladrar y no te dejan ni un bol, ni una cama.

Viajaba en moto, me cobraron el parking como si fuera un coche ya que utilizaba una plaza, al día siguiente apareció una moto detrás de la mía en mi plaza sin consultarme (por cierto si hubiera querido salir no hubiera podido) y me cobró la plaza íntegra, me pareció una mezcla de falta de profesionalidad y de cara dura.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026A little gem of a hotel. A quirky place, and our second visit after 8 years whilst doing a "Best Of" motorcycle tour of Spain. We were very glad to find this hotel has retained all of its unique, family run appeal. Such an interesting building steeped in history and truly crammed with curios, antiques, and original artworks, as well as having modern, top quality fixtures and fittings. If one were looking for a romantic, memorable stay in Lugo, one would need to look no further. Enough English is spoken to make a non-Spanish speaker welcome and understood whilst also being an ideal place to brush up on one's Spanish. Motorcyclists should also note that the NO MOTORCYCLES ALLOWED message sent shortly after booking is sent in error and refers only to the fact that the car park is sloped and could make parking a bike awkward if you only have a centre stand.

Zimmer sehr liebevoll zu den Details gestaltet. Badzimmer ist sehr geräumig, modern und wunderschön. Frühstück ist für Käseliebhaber ein wahres Paradies! So viel verschiedene Käsesorten trifft man nicht einmal in jedem Käseladen.
Achtung, kein Lift. Die Figuren in der Lobby ist eine Geschmacksache.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026La ubicación es ideal , dentro de la muralla y cerca de la zona turística y de bares, pero lo suficientemente alejado para que el ruido no sea una molestia. El trato del personal es magnífico, procurando que estés cómodo en todo momento.
La puerta del baño no cerraba bien ( al ser de corredera no llega a cerrar del todo contra el marco. El el baño se hecho en falta que tuvieran un gorro de ducha de esos desechables.

Reviewed Jun 8, 2026Dieses Hotel ist wirklich aussergewöhnlich, die Einrichtung gleicht fast einem Museum. Und trotzdem ist alles sauber und einladend. Das Frühstück (und der Frühstücksraum!) übertrafen aber so ziemlich alles, was ich in vielen Jahren auf vielen Reisen erlebt habe. Top!
Ich fand es seltsam, dass beim Einchecken Pass und Kreditkarte kopiert worden sind. Das widerspricht meines Wissens den Richtlinien von Booking (wo die Karte hinterlegt ist). Ich habe den Mitarbeiter darauf aufmerksam gemacht. Er schien mein Anliegen nicht zu begreifen. Deshalb ein kleiner Abzug bei der Bewertung des Personals.

Die Nebenräume (Speisezimmer, Bar) waren nicht zugänglich Die jedermann zugänglichen Räume waren überladen mit Nippes + kitschigen Figuren. Der Stil eines spanischen Herrenhauses ging dadurch verloren Die Nebenkosten für Tiere waren unangemessen hoch

Reviewed May 29, 2026Het is een prachtig hotel binnen de oude Romeinse stadsmuren. Het interieur is verrassend. De kamer is groot en comfortabel. De badkamer is heel bijzonder. De ontvangst was vriendelijk. We konden vlakbij parkeren. Er was ook nog eens een heerlijk ontbijtbuffet.
Alles was goed.

Reviewed May 22, 2026Wonderful!!! A truly beautiful hotel in a perfect location, right next to the ancient walls, where you can walk and enjoy the views. The staff is wonderful — always smiling, kind, and welcoming. The room was perfect, the parking right next to the hotel was very convenient, and overall this is one of the most beautiful places and hotels I have ever stayed in.

Reviewed May 21, 2026La habitación muy limpia, tiene ascensor y no es ruidosa. El agua caliente funciona bien. La señal de wifi fue buena.
No tiene Recepción las 24 horas. Cierra a las 23:00 horas y recien a las 077:30 horas aparece la persona de recepción, lo cual te impide realizar actividades temprano. En mi caso no pude tomar tren de las 5:18 y casi pierdo el de las 08:00 horas ya que la puerta de recepción estaba cerrada. Adicionalmente al costo de la habitación, cobran 20 Euros por Desayuno y 20 Euros por Estacionamiento. La atención es mala , es como que te hicieran un favor y están como de mala leche. Si quieres relajarte y disfrutar de tu estancia es Lugo definitivamente este no es el lugar.

Nos costó mucho llegar hasta el hotel ,metiéndonos por calles peatonales de las q era realmente complicado salir ,,Finalmente, una señora muy amable de la localidad se montó en nuestro coche para indicarnos cómo Llegar al Hotel ! Tampoco me pareció nada amable el personal que trabajaba allí !
