Loved this place and the very welcoming family. The Whare was huge well equipped and comfortable. Enjoyed the fireplaces. Lovely meal and enjoyable evening with the lovely hosts who run this amazing farm

Wow what a find! A gorgeous property in a stunning private location with beautiful ambiance and fully fitted with everything you need. Plus great food for snacks and breakfast. We had supper with Annie and Alistair which made for a very memorable and special occasion. Highly recommended.

Perfect calm and peace. All rooms comfortable and put door space exceptional.Dog friendly.

Location slightly remote perhaps gor some but it suited us perfectly.

This is a beautiful property with great character and an interesting history. We were very comfortable as well as charmed by this unique place.

So quiet and peaceful. The rooms are very spacious. Lovely views across the farm and it was beautiful sitting on bean bags out on the lawn with a drink. Great magazines plus a huge selection of books for reading and we were provided with an amazing gift basket of goodies. We have stayed at a lot of places over the years, none of them beat Coldstream Estate.

Great relaxing farmstay.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and it is just wonderful. One of my favourite places to stay. Clean and very comfortable.

We had a wonderful time at the Coldstream property. Lovely and warm with two fires and heaters - very cosy!! A lovely box of goodies greeted us!! A very relaxing stay.

An amazing setting, a beautiful house full of history. Might be slightly off the State Highway but well worth the detour.

It’s quiet and secluded. Comfortable and tasteful decor. Engaging hosts who gave us a tour of the farm. Yummy breakfast with a basket of locally sourced items.

There was a lovely hamper on arrival - an added bonus - and we ordered the dinner hamper which was just yummy. Fresh meat for the BBQ and the most delicious salad - made for a perfect evening meal outside after a day of driving.

Lovely location and welcome hamper (homemade cookies and granola were very tasty), fascinating history shared by the host and excellent comfortable bed and linen all made for a restful break away.

Amazing farm stay in a beautiful traditional property which had been lovingly restored and retained so many lovely features. We loved the open fire and wood burning stove which added to the experience. The location was perfect for our journey from Queenstown to Christchurch. The welcome basket full of local products for breakfast/snacks was a lovely surprise and a great touch - we particularly enjoyed the homemade cookies! Thank you for a lovely memorable stay. We would certainly return and recommend this stay!

A gem. Pure history. With passion and love beautifully renovated and preserved. Unique in NZ.

A large historic property that has been well converted with all modern facilities. It stands in its own grounds approached via a long gravel driveway. The couple that own it were perfect hosts - there to help but not intrusive. They did offer to show us their farm an offer we were keen to accept and thoroughly enjoyed. They supplied a very large basket of breakfast/lunch type foods of exceptional quality. As we were only staying two days we were unable to use it all. It included fresh milk, muesli cereal, bread, home made cookies, butter, fresh orange juice, custom chocolate bar, crisps etc.

Nothing for us. When booking we were aware that the property is self contained and 40 minutes away from the nearest town which was ideal for us as we like tranquility. The host's house was a two minute drive away and were on hand to sort out any queries so we didn't feel isolated in any way but maybe some people would be not so happy?

This is a very special place. It totally exceeded our expectations. We would definitely go back. The hosts amazing. The place is very clean and the beds are super comfortable.
