Reviewed Jul 12, 2026Wohl ein hoher Preis, aber jeden Rappen wert: Lage, Service, das Essen, die Ausstattung der Zimmer. Die Ruhe. Der freundliche Austausch mit dem Personal und den Chefs. Die luxuriöse, aber nicht elitäre Atmosphäre. Kontakt mit anderen netten und spannenden Gästen. Die Terrasse, das Frühstück. Hier kann man sein und vom Alltag Abstand nehmen. Auch unsere mittelgrosse Hündin hat sich erkennbar wohlgefühlt. Danke Euch, dort in Tarasp
Nichts. Auch mit Whiskeys, Rums und Cognacs wird man fein bedient. Hat man die eigene Zigarre vergessen, wird man eine Weile brauchen, bis aus dem Angebot etwas ausgesucht ist.

Reviewed Jun 24, 2026We loved this place! The owners were very warm and friendly. The room was quiet, comfortable, clean and we had a spectacular view out of our windows. Breakfast was varied and great. This tiny village is located in a very beautiful and peaceful area and there are paths for walking. If you are looking for something more traditional, this is it! Highly recommend!

Alles war einfach perfekt.

Pokój piękny, stylowy, z widokiem na okolicę. Wszystko na najwyższym poziomie! Tylko polecać! I oczywiście polecam z całego serca!

Reviewed Dec 29, 2025Aussergewöhnlich freundlicher und persönlicher Empfang von Gian, wir haben uns direkt von Anfang an sehr willkommen gefühlt! Es wurde sogar auf Zimmer Wünsche eingegangen und extra am Abend noch ein Zusatzbett angeschafft. Sehr feines, reichhaltiges und frisches Frühstück. Wir haben uns die zwei Tage sehr wohl gefühlt und konnten uns richtig entspannen! Vielen Dank!

Reviewed Dec 24, 2025Historical property run by same family for over 400 years. The interior is mostly original yet looks brand new, so well has it been maintained. 5 different saunas. Excellent food. Friendly, helpful owner and staff that speak perfect English. Spacious rooms, very comfortable bed, medieval interior with wood paneling everywhere including ceilings. Lots of antique furnishings, fittings and decor round out this standout inn.
Parking is a bit distant but manageable. Location a bit remote from Scoul, not walkable from the train station.

Reviewed Feb 17, 2024The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The food was superb. We throughly enjoyed the fireplace in our junior suite which was spacious, warm, and inviting. Every little detail was thought of from hooks in the right places to enough hangars to coffee pods. The hotel is beautifully decorated, reflecting its long history. It's obvious that the family is very proud of their hotel and deservedly so.
Unfortunately, the spa doesn't open till 3:30, which was occasionally inconvenient.

Reviewed Jun 2, 2023Wow! Where do I begin! When you approach the village you will be in amazement by the Castle of Tarasp that you see set high up on a rocky hill! Then when you arrive at the hotel, it looks like a scene from a fairy-tale! Beautiful flowers everywhere and the structure of the building is very pleasing to the eye! The staff are super friendly and very kind! They will make sure that you are having a wonderful time! I was surprised when I saw my room and the spectacular view from the windows! I had the single room with the four-poster bed and no detail was spared! The architecture in my room was amazing and beautiful woodwork too! The bed even had a remote control so you could sit up or put your feet up! Nice stereo system too! When you look out the windows you see snow capped peaks, a beautiful lake, green pastures and if you stick your head out the window and look to your right, you see the most Amazing view of the medieval Tarasp Castle! There's a beautiful garden filled with flowers located on different levels of the property! When you're walking through the halls, staircase and dining rooms, you will be taken back in time by all of the pictures and alpine memorabilia! The place is just so colorful to look at! There are picturesque hikes all around the quaint little village! Breakfast and dinner were very delicious too! When I come back to this area, I will stay here again! Thanks for making my visit so Spectacular! 😁

Reviewed Feb 19, 2023The style and setting of the hotel are absolutely fantastic. We had been unable to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary last year due to illness, so we wanted to find somewhere special for Valentine’s day. The hotel totally lived up to our hopes and expectations.
There wasn’t anything that we were unhappy about.
