התארחנו במלון ג'אפה כבר מספר פעמים בעבר, אבל הפעם – תחת הניהול החדש של רשת פתאל – החוויה הייתה פשוט מדהימה ועוד יותר מעבר לציפיות! השירות עלה מדרגה. תודה ענקית ואישית לדניאל לרמן המקסים, שהיה אדיב בצורה יוצאת דופן, דאג לכל פרט ופרט והפך את השהות שלנו למושלמת. נמשיך לחזור לכאן בטוח!

Location

We stayed at The Jaffa Hotel in Tel Aviv over the weekend (Saturday–Sunday) to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and the experience was a massive disappointment. A place charging 2,400 ILS per night is expected to deliver top-tier hospitality, but in reality, we received the service level of a low-end hostel. Key issues from our stay: Extreme overcrowding and zero service at the pool: The hotel was completely packed. For 20 minutes, there wasn't a single place to sit by the pool area. The pool staff didn't speak Hebrew, had bare minimum English skills, and offered zero assistance—to the point where I personally had to notify Ofer at the front desk just to get things sorted out. Breakfast failure: The next morning, we ordered scrambled eggs and a brioche Hollandaise dish. We waited a full 45 minutes and the dishes simply never arrived, while tables seated after us were getting their food. Low-quality food: The breakfast buffet was below average at best. Everything felt dry and stale—from the breads to the vegetables and cheeses, which had clearly been sitting out for far too long. The frustration was so overwhelming that we simply got up and checked out. When leaving, we voiced our deep disappointment to the front desk. Daniel offered us a "fun day" pass or a 50% discount on a future booking at this specific hotel, but who in their right mind would ever return after an experience like this?

In the interest of full disclosure, a manager did reach out to us later in our stay to ask how things were going. After hearing about our experience, she offered us compensation. We genuinely appreciated her effort to listen and attempt to make things right.

What we didn't like (-): We traveled all the way from California for our wedding, expecting a "luxury" experience (as advertised by the Fattal collection), but the initial service fell completely short. • Arrival: Our van was denied access to the driveway, leaving my husband to handle five heavy suitcases entirely on his own. Shockingly, a staff member sat nearby with his feet propped up on a chair, just watching him struggle instead of offering help. My husband had to go search for a luggage cart himself. • Staff Communication: We explicitly asked and received permission to take our wedding photos in a specific area of the hotel. Yet, right after we got there and fully set up with our professional photography crew, another staff member approached and forced us to leave. It was incredibly humiliating on our wedding day. • Food & Hygiene: We ordered room service for breakfast. Not only was the food unappetizing, but it was delivered on a filthy, rust-covered cart. This level of hygiene is completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a luxury one.

פעם אהבנו היום המלון תת רמה

אף פעם לא כתבתי ביקורת לא טובה על אף מקום. אבל החוויה במלון הפעם היתה טראומתית. החלפת הבעלים והפיכתו לכשר כנראה קשורה להפיכת מלון יפייפיה ומוקפד למלון דוחה. בריכה עמוסה בטינופת, אנשים מעשנים בכל פינה למרות עשרות שלטים של איזור ללא עישון, אוכלים ושותים בבריכה, מאפרים ומכבים סיגריות על הרצפה, בעוד הצוות עומד בצד בחוסר מעש. בריכה שצריך מסתבר להזמין מקום אליה מראש (???) לא שממש רצינו להיות בה. אוכלוסייה קולנית בלי טיפת הערכה למקום . אפילו כשברחנו בבוקר חבורת בנות לא מרוצה צרחה על הצוות , לא ידעתי על מי אני מרחמת יותר.. יצאתי מזועזעת רק רציתי הביתה ועוד לא אמרתי כלום על המחיר היקר שאין קשר בינו לתמורה. מיותר לציין שלא נחזור. מקום היסטורי יפייפה חד פעמי, שהפך ליעד לישראלי המכוער

אמאלה מלון וואו בין ההכי טובים שהייתי בחיי , החדר והמלון כל כך יפים השירות פה מתחשב ואנשים טובים ותאכלו את ההמבורגר בבריכה בין הטובים שטעמתי פינקו אותנו מקסימום לגמרי אחזור שוב

הגענו לחגוג יום נישואין, ופינקו אותנו מעבר למצופה. הייתה אפשרות ושידרגו לנו את החדר. השאירו פינוק מפנק בחדר. כולם היו נעימים ואדיבים. החדר היה מהמם ובכללי המלון מהמם. ארוחת הבוקר הייתה מעולה!

מלון מקסים. ואלגנטי, שירות אדיב, יוצא דופן . הכל מאד מוקפד, מבריק,, טעים מאד ואיכותי. תודה לדניאל על כל תשומת הלב

המקום מהמם, נקי עם בריכה מצוינת

כשהגענו למקום האירוח נאמר לנו כי השער של החניה תקול. עשינו סיבוב כשעה וחצי לחיפוש חניה,דבר שהתחיל את החופשה כסיוט. כשבאנו לקחת את המפתחות של החדר לאחר הצ׳ק אין, מנהל הקבלה אמר לנו כי השער לא היה תקול והוא לא יודע על מה מדובר ואנחנו יכולות להחנות כי יש שפע של חניה. הזזנו את הרכב להיכנס לחניון כפי שהמנהל אמר לנו לעשות וכשאנחנו מגיעות לשער השומר לא נותן לנו להכנס בטענה שאין חניה. כל כך הרבה זמן מהחופשה בזבזתי על החניה הזאת ואף אחד מאנשי הצוות לא לקח אחריות. מה שכן הם שולחים אותי להזיז את האוטו לחניון וטוענים שהכל בסדר ובסוף סתם גרמו לי לעשות סיבובים, שוב בזבזתי חצי שעה נוספת על בזבוז חניה בגלל המלצת המנהל. מקום יפה אבל השירות מתחת לכל ביקורת ולא הולם את המחיר הגבוה ששמים על לילה.

מקום מהמם, אחלה בריכה . צוות שנותן שירות ברמה גבוהה . מקלחת מושלמת ומיטה מאוד נוחה

We stayed for a week and loved the room upgrade -- thank you :-) The hotel is beautiful and the breakfast, WOW, fantastic! Also, the restaurant, Golda's, is great for dinner. We wished Golda's was open for lunch too as trying to get lunch at the pool was difficult -- very long wait for food. Same for room service -- one of our orders never even arrived (and I had to have it removed from my bill). A great positive is RUTH -- wow she gave us a lovely tour and great tips about the area and also the history of the hotel. Another positive is the bed and pillows and linen -- first class! We will surely stay here again.

שירות בבריכה קצת לוקה בחסר הבריכה גם קטנה יחסית הביטחון גם ממש דפקו לנו בדלת חזק כי חשבו שיש אזעקת אש ולא היה וסתם נבהלנו

אני חושב כהערה בונה לשים לב לשירות בבריכה , הם לא עומדים בזמנים, שוכחים. לדוג׳ לא הגיוני שהמלצר שלא דובר עברית זוכר בעל פה רשימה של כמה פריטים מכמה אנשים שונים שמזמינים ממנו.. וכך קרה שלא הגיע לנו שעתיים האוכל .

אהבנו את הבריכה ואת החדר וגם ארוחת בוקר מעולה

אין שירות . לא בבריכה ולא לחדרים.

The Jaffa is by far my favorite hotel. Every year, I feel lucky to celebrate my birthday here, and it has become a very special tradition for me. This year, I was delighted to receive a complimentary room upgrade, and I truly appreciate this thoughtful gesture. It made my stay even more memorable. A special thank you to Ruth for her warm welcome and for taking the time to explain everything about the property. Thank you also to Dima for his kindness and professionalism throughout my stay. The Jaffa is a truly prestigious property, combining history, elegance, and outstanding service. Every visit is a wonderful experience, and I always look forward to coming back. See you next year!

המלון היה מעבר לכל ציפייה, היפים בארץ, שירות מדהים מכל עובד ברמה הכי גבוהה שיש, האוכל, החדר, הפרטים הקטנים יוקרה ברמה הכי גבוהה שיש חשוב להגיד שהיה כל כך נעים, לא מפוצץ באנשים, יש מקום בבריכה ואווירה טובה תודה על הפינוקים אנחנו עוד נחזור !

Beautiful building, bedroom and pool area, most of the staff were amazing and made us feel special and welcome. Overall a great experience.

Thrown out of the pool area aggressively at 6pm sharp, we were relaxing and there was no where to go. The hotel loses the sun around 5.30pm. This seemed unnecessary. A member of pool food/drink staff unhelpful but the food and beverage manager was wonderful and made up for the 2 bad experiences magnificently. No evening meals in the hotel which we would have enjoyed but we subsequently learnt that the chef had left as the hotel has been closed due to the war. New staff apparently joining soon

תחזוקת ניקיון לא גבוהה גם סביב החדרים וגם באזור הבריכה לקראת סיום היום מלא צלחות נשארות עם האוכל אף אחד לא מפנה אותן והציפורים זוללות. נשאר טינופת על הריצפות וסביב מיטות השיזוף..

Beautiful hotel and room. Front desk people friendly and competent.

The staff is under qualified, waiters struggling to serve water and hold a plater at breakfast. The swimming pool was full and dirty (take away food on the floor, empty cups laying around, dirty towels on empty deck chairs, ice buckets with melted ice and empty bottles next to people not replaced) few staff members turning around clueless. We came the night of our wedding (we updated the hotel), the hotel told us they will do something for us and we were given 3 dry mini cakes, 30 minutes after we arrived - nothing in the room. We came for a special experience, on a special day looking for luxurious service and we found ourselves in a hotel that was just another typical israeli "luxurious" hotel - expensive, with people behaving like they own the place and staff that is clueless. Not worth the price. Breakfast was fine for a kosher place on shabbat but not worth the price. Wouldn't recommend to come on a weekend.

The Jaffa is truly one of the most beautiful hotels in Tel Aviv, and the property itself is impressive, elegant, and clearly designed to a very high standard. Unfortunately, our actual experience was very disappointing, especially considering the price and the fact that we came right after our wedding for a two-night stay. When we arrived, we were told at reception that there was no restaurant open in the evening and no dinner option at the hotel. This was very surprising, because when I booked through the hotel’s website, I was offered an option to add dinner for an additional charge. I chose not to prepay and planned to pay at the hotel. Only after arriving did we learn that the hotel had recently become kosher, that the previous restaurant had closed, and that a new one had not opened yet. This is important information that should have been clearly communicated before booking. Had we known there would be no dinner option at the hotel, we probably would not have chosen to stay there. The pool area was also a major disappointment. The pool feels quite small for the number of hotel guests, especially when there are also outside guests or events. On our first day, there seemed to be a high-tech company event, and the pool area was extremely crowded, noisy, and far from relaxing. It felt more like a busy public venue than a luxury hotel pool. The staff at the pool bar seemed very young and inexperienced, and they did not seem able to handle the amount of guests or the pressure properly. The food served at the pool was also not at the level we expected from a hotel like this. It looked and felt very basic, and unfortunately after eating there we both had stomach pain during the rest of our stay, which made the experience even worse. We stayed in an expensive room in the new wing with a sea view. The room itself was beautiful and the hotel’s design is definitely impressive, but the room was also not very practical. It is designed as a “smart room,” but the lighting controls and many buttons were confusing and not intuitive. The TV inside the mirror also looked nice aesthetically, but in practice it was uncomfortable and not very useful. Breakfast was good, and again, the hotel itself is beautiful and has a very high-end look. But overall, the experience did not match the price or the level we expected. The lack of dinner, the overcrowded and noisy pool, the low level of service at the pool, and the food issue made our stay very disappointing. As a couple who came right after our wedding and spent a significant amount of money for a special stay, we unfortunately would not recommend this hotel in its current state. It has huge potential, but the experience was not worth the price.
