Darling Lodge Guest House

Great location, close to the Darling Museum. The breakfast provided was amazing.

The guest house is in one of the old historic houses of Darling. The traditional furniture, bathroom and overall style give you the feeling of stepping back in time. The garden is beautiful, the owners are very friendly and welcoming, the service is great, and the breakfast was excellent. A lovely place with lots of character and atmosphere.

My room was a bit too small and cramped for me.

Good choice for breakfast, room was large and the bed was equipped with an electric blanket. Overall a pleasant experience.

Stephan was a great host - friendly and attentive. Breakfast was delicious. Beds were comfortable and generally clean and tidy rooms.

The rooms were a bit dated and basic. Guest house and garden could do with some sprucing up.

The unit is on a olive tree farm. Its also a very short distance from town. The owner arranged a portable car wash for my vehicle. We were treated like family

The room was very clean, tidy and well maintained. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the space felt welcoming and well thought out.

On site parking was limited and very tight due to the length of our bakkie. Opted for street parking which turned out to be quite safe.

The Darling Guest Lodge is peaceful, tasteful, comfortable, and convenient!

We had a spacious room. Very comfortable mattress and beds. Shower was great - good pressure and heat. Heater panel to take the chill off the air. Breakfast was outstanding. As I was doing some work online during the day, the wi-fi held up beautifully.

I think a television would have been nice. We ended up using our laptops to watch shows however, so wasn't a trainsmash.

The host was incredibly kind and helpful. The room has what you need especially a firm, comfortable bed. The outdoor area and pool would be great in the summertime. The breakfast area has great ambiance and the food available is filling and delicious. Lastly, the premises is very safe and secure.

Everything we needed for our 1 night stay for the mtb event. Comfortable beds. They were very accommodating & arranged a milk alternative for me 😃

Only the shower screen leaked onto the bathroom floor. Just need new silicone. Partner just struggled a with the fridge noise on his side of the bed, so maybe moving it away from bedside might be better.

The view from our room was the back yard with trees and beautiful sight. The breakfast was satisfying and so refreshing

We had no hot water for shower in the evening and no-one answered our emergency calls.

We were staying over in Darling the night before we dye an mtb race . Stephen went out of his way to accommodate our bicycles , early rising and a very early breakfast . Just wonderful !

The hot water geyser was not firing initially but once my husband had managed to press certain buttons we got it to work .

We had the pleasure of a one-night stay at Darling Guest Lodge during the off-peak season, and it was truly memorable. We experienced an incredible level of attention to detail and warm hospitality. Our host welcomed us with genuine kindness, gave us a thoughtful tour of the property, and even shared excellent restaurant recommendations for the evening. Breakfast the next morning was a highlight! A beautifully presented spread featuring homemade jams and the most delicious banana bread. It felt both indulgent and homely, a perfect reflection of the lodge’s charm. This stay reminded us of all the reasons we fell in love with Darling in the first place: its character, warmth, and the sense of being somewhere truly unique. Darling Guest Lodge captures all of that perfectly, making it a wonderful choice for anyone visiting this special town.

The position in the town ans the quietness. The pool was also a nice surprise on a hot day

Norhing not too like, was better than i expected. My bed was a bit short but i am use to a extra length bed at home.

The bed was very uncomfortable Shower was extremely small No fridge in the room In the breakfast area the food was not covered, there were flies and fruit flies all over the food. Due to this we opted not eat any of it.

The owner Stephan could not have made us feel any more welcome. The eye for detail was evident in all the areas of the venue and the pool was an oasis on a very hot day! Breakfast was also beautifully served and the staff very friendly and engaging.

There was nothing not to like, but an aircon would have been a "nice - to-have" in the room as it was extremely hot, even during the night.

Die Lodge ist eine kleine Oase, optimal um etwas Ruhe zu genießen. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt. Um die Gegend zu erkunden ist die Lodge eine sehr gute Wahl. Tolles Frühstück und sehr bequeme Betten.

Der Ort Darling hat mir persönlich nicht so gut gefallen, wir waren aber im Hochsommer dort. Ich kann mir vorstellen, wenn die Wildflower Season ist, dass der Ort etwas reizvoller ist.

Eine Unterkunft mit Charme, geführt von einem sehr freundlichen Team.

Konfi aus Stefan‘s Küche als auch der selbstgebackene Zopf. Die Lodge bietet viel Raum für die Gäste, was äusserst angenehm ist. Oliver und Stefan geben top Empfehlungen ab für diverse Aktivitäten in der Umgebung, div. leckere Restaurants liegen in Fussdistanz - Save!
