101 Newport Condo Across the Airport

A nice place to stay fora few days. There are many places to eat and easy to get a taxi or a bus. Very close to the airport too.

The reception was very welcoming. The room was spacious. The kitchen was operational but the appliances are well used. Open the drawers and you get a musty odor. Not the feeling of a clean crisp accomodation. The bathroom was good but the soap dispenser didn't work. Perhaps with condo hotels it's right but there was nothing to eat or drink except for two bottles of water.

To be fair, I didn't stay at this condo but rather across the street due to internet being down where I booked but it felt like a downgrade and was very disappointing. Some of the issues:1) Terrible humidity/mold smell, seems as though room has been locked up for some weeks before our arrival with a/c off (should have been prepped/freshened up before guests arrival); provided air freshener which did LITTLE to remove terrible smell, especially bad odor every time on re-entry but even while in the room, constant moldy stink! 2) Refrigerator wasn't plugged in and had to pull it out from the wall to get the cord and plug it in; once it was cold, the door was near impossible to open and required unreasonable force just to open the door. 3) TV not plugged in and had to pull out a bed from the wall to see that and plug it in; TV hung crooked/lob sided on the wall. 4) Hangar bar inside stand alone closet fell down. 5) Safe is locked and no instructions on how to open/use it. 6) No hand soap, toiletries (toothbrush/paste, etc.) and no slippers, a standard in Phil. 7) Internet speed was TERRIBLE to support streaming content. 8) 1 glass provided, 1 soup/cereal bowl, 3 coffee mugs, 5 plates, 3 saucers, adequate cutlery, 1 frying pan (no pots) 9) Light over the sink and the ceiling fan in WC not working 10) Need a new washroom mirror as a lot of silver gone, right at eye level 11) Wall clock stuck at 7 pm 12) Microwave not plugged in & cord couldn't reach outlet ... and more. Lots to fix!

When or if I come back, I will book again

really walking distance from/ to terminal 3; super friendly staff in the lobby aware of your booking and instantly assisting you to your room... a room/ apartment just nothing is missing. very good value for your money!

I like how easy it was to go to international airport. If I wasnt carrying 2 big luggages, I probably would have walked to the airport.

Easy check in. The room is clean. No issues at all.

No airport shuttle, but it is a .9 mile walk to T3 (MNL). There is a footbridge over the main thoroughfare. It is not advisable to try crossing the highway. There are chain-link fences to discourage those trying to take a short cut to T3. I doubt that it is passable, and probably not permitted to avoid the foot bridge. It is about 1500 pesos for a white cab to T3.

The noise is extreme specially all through the night with the honking, sirens, motorcycles, jeeps,cars etc. makes it difficult to get rest on top of the hard, uncomfortable bed.

I pad for the most expensive room (comfort condo) and when I arrived I was put in the cheapest studio instead. When I asked why this happened, I was told that they double booked the room and that they could move me 10 days into my 16 day trip... I asked if I would be refunded the difference and was no. I called Orbitz twice to try and get the issue resolved, once when I checked in and then agan 8 days later after also dealing with other issues. Orbitz basically told me that I was out of luck and to try to work it out with the front desk... even though I told them that the front desk said they cant do anything because the rented out rooms are privately owned. Orbitz also offered me "Orbucks" for the issues and then never credited them to my account. Now on to the other issues, as I mentioned... originally I was put in the cheaper room. This room, mainly the bathroom was infested with roaches, the microwave and the counter cook top also didnt work and the aircon sounded like a jet engine and dripped into the room. I asked to be moved... 4 days latter they moved me into a different room, the TV in this room didnt work and again, the cook top didnt work, this room was also roach infested.... finally after waiting, they put, me in the rom I actually paid for, this rooms microwave and water kettle didnt work, and you could feel the springs through the mattress. This completely ruined my trip... NEVER BOOK HERE.

It took an hour to get the keys from the representative who seemed bothered that she had to show up.

I stayed in this condo because of it's location which was very close to Terminal 3. I will rate this place -- 3 out of 5 for the following reasons. -- pillowcases did not look clean, there were hair or black particles --- air conditioner wasn't sufficiently cool from 12:00 to 4:00 am. I felt so warm that I was unable to sleep. --- after i took my shower, i was looking for a hairdryer, there was none. --- i tried communicating with the person in charge but there was no answer, rather no reply. I requested the guard to call on my behalf but he explained that I will just keep trying. it was my first time to stay in a condo and i think that will also be my last.

Do not book this. We arrived at 11pm and the property owner or manager didn’t show up. We called multiple times but no one answered. The staff was not helpful either. I will never book this property ever. I think Expedia should remove them from the list.

I didn't like the fact that I needed the owner permission for a guest. This should be told in advance of renting.

The place is very nice and location is perfect. Close to every stores and restaurants. Close to Resort World.

There was no hot water in the kitchen, the cook top did not work. Checkin was terrible, didn't know we were arriving. The care taker didn't answer phone for an hour. Kitchen dining table was a board attached to wall with two small stools that might hold a child.

The condo itself was great. Only a few mins away from Newport mall and NAIA terminal 3. Main issue was checking in. Apparently it wasn’t properly communicated that we would be staying the night so we were not able to be in the room until about an hour and half from our arrival. It would’ve been great if they compensated us with a late check out, but was only given an extra 30mins.

The front reception area was lovely, however things went downhill from there. The front desk staff were unable to help with check in, I needed to contact the owner of the apartment directly. The lady I spoke to appeared to be confused by our arrival, and kept asking for proof of the booking. Overall this took nearly an hour to get sorted which was not appreciated after a full day's travel with young kids. When we finally got to the room, it was very cramped and basic. The key to the door did not appear to work properly (I think the lady rattled off something in Tagalog about how to use the key). Overall a disappointing stay and glad we were there for one night only.

Communication with the host prior to arrival was variable; s/he should have given me the name of the contact person at the condo (Raymond) because Raymond was very responsive and helpful once I knew he was the one to contact. The building is very nice and the room is comfortable with a small kitchen, comfortable beds and even a clothes washer, which came in very handy, especially once Raymond brought the laundry drying rack! The only real issue was the smell...the room was clean but it must be the plumbing in the large, high-rise building that caused a foul odor to come from the bathroom and kitchen drains...probably nothing can be done about that. Otherwise, the a/c and fans worked well and there was lots of natural lighting from the large windows in the bedroom, which was very nice. Raymond and the staff in the lobby were very friendllyl and helpful, and the location is great. Conveniently close to the airport and lots of places to eat nearby.

Probably the most quiet place to stay in the Philippines. Outside the building was nice and not third world like at all.

The owner or caretaker that met us, once we figured out how to contact them, was very friendly. Unfortunately, there aren't any more positive things I can say about this property or the check-in process. We booked this the day of our stay, just before getting on our flight to Manila. Once we arrived in Manila at 8 PM we noticed that we were supposed to have contacted the caretaker before 3 PM if we were going to check in after 8 PM. That led to a lot of confusion with the check-in process. The "hotel" isn't actually a hotel. It's a condo within a condo complex. So the taxi drive had to rely on the address given in Expedia. That got us to the West entrance of condo building. The lady at the front desk knew nothing about the "hotel" and insisted we were at the wrong place. She was actually not very willing to help out. We were finally informed by the door security guard that we should try the East entrance. The person at the desk there was very friendly and helped us contact the owner. At this point we have been at the "hotel" for close to an hour. The owner led us to a different building a short walk away, and brought us to our room. It had a fairly strong sewage smell. But, at this point we were extremely tired and hungry so we didn't say anything. Other than that, the room was a little rundown, but at least it was clean, and the beds were very firm but clean. I would definitely not recommend this place based solely on the smell.

Pros:Its proximity to the airport was the main draw for us. A free airconditioned shuttle that looped around the small area of Newport City was great to have! The night street vendor scene was a delightful surprise. There's a grocery nearby. Cons: The microwave door doesn't shut. One end of the futon's metal spring where the foam was receding hurt my thigh. Overall, it was great location and the property was

Spacious and good condo compared to price. You have to call the host before you arrive, especially for one hour early check-in. Room may be noisy from outside road, but is generally good to stay long.

I was in East Wing Unit 3C. Very clean, modern, well appointed, comfortable, convenient to most everything, especially the airport. Would stay again and would highly recommend.

Fairly comfortable stay the night before my flight. It’s walking distance to NAIA terminal 3. Two issues: I arrived at 11am and was charged a 400 pesos fee to check in early. No hot water in my unit.

Good location and nice condo overall but the place is overrun with cockroaches. In being there only 2 days I killed over 10 roaches. Also first day there the water was brown. When I asked about it I was told they were cleaning the water.

I like the surround the area. Just outside has many restaurants.Watson and shopping mall to Newport resorts world. There was a free shuttle bus around the area going to the mall. Casino and grocery shopping. What I don’t like is I saw a few small cockroach inside the room. Even I saw the room was clean. Everything is clean and nice staff except the cockroach

WHEN SHE OPENED THE DOOR, the apartment smelled like cat piss. it turned out that it was the bath matts all throughout the place. there were 5 of them and we put them all in the washing machine to wash them with everything possible. then it still smelled bad. we took out the filter on the air conditioner, and it was plugged up...never cleaned. then we went to get a glass out. the cupboard was filthy. we have photos on our phone and if we can post them seperately we will. we killed 7 cockroaches. there were no electric outlets for the kitchen except for one single outlet for the fridge. we unplugged that to plug the coffee maker and of course forgot to plug the fridge back in. mistake. the ice block that was in the freezer melted and leaked all over the floor. i slipped and fell. water pressure was good though, and bed was comfy. we signed up for 2 nights. stayed only one night. we won't stay there again.

I like the cleanliness of the property. However, the communication is very very poor. I didnt received any reply from the property owner. I have messaged them 6 hours before my intended check in time. I already arrived in the vicinity and yet I did not received any reply. The email stated that the owner will see me in the EAST wing lobby but after calling the owner 10x which lasted for 30-45mins , the owner said to meet me in the WEST wing. I have already deposited 900 pesos for a cheap transient room nearby as I thought I was scammed. As an overseas worker I am not going to reccommend it to foreigners. It is really disappointing. They should revise their invoice letter. Thanks

Though it was no fault of the host, check-in was a bit time-consuming because of screening at the front desk. The host was very friendly and helpful. The condo was very clean and comfortable. Just outside the building, there were several places to eat.

The front desk employee doesn’t know what is going on how us to accommodate the customers.She is calling someone to check us in , then they still wants me to talk to who ever it is Coming from a long flight all I want is to get in my room and rest and the front desk is so hot because no air conditioner until I asked for electric fan .I can’t even access for the wifi in our room because the code is not even right .

The pool was very nice and scheduled times so we had it to ourselves was wonderful.
