- Mountain View, breathtaking and serene. - Coffee Plantation between the entry gate & property. - Not a pinch of noise during nights. Very peaceful. - Rooms are humongous. - Owner personally suggests the best getaways around Coorg. - Homestyle food by caretaker that too at budgeted rates. Caretaker is very responsive.

While the property was serene and the owner & caretaker were very accommodative, few things can be improved to make it best. 1. RO should be there. We need to rely on packaged drinking water which is chargeable or boiled water. 2. If you plan to have lunch or dinner in property than Food options are limited and blend. Breakfast is good. 3. Property is far from madikeri (main Coorg) so we spent a considerable time in property. While it was serene but few outdoor and indoor games would make it more entertaining.

Sunil (owner) and Rajendar (caretaker) were absolutely great with their instructions, property rules, communication and hospitality. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and homely. We loved the view from the property! They both went above and beyond in making sure we felt at home! They also helped with couriering a small item I left behind by mistake. I would recommend the place to others and will visit again myself

Although we didn't need it, but wifi barely reached our room and definitely didn't reach the smart tv. TV's set top box wasn't recharged - so no channels were working. I am sure Sunil would have addressed it if we were to mention it to him, but we didn't go there to watch TV and didn't bother.

Our stay at Forest Dale was truly amazing and one of the best experiences we’ve had in Coorg. The property was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and had such a peaceful and refreshing vibe surrounded by nature. Every corner of the place reflected care and attention to detail. A special mention to Rajender, the caretaker, who was extremely courteous, helpful, and made us feel completely at home throughout our stay. His hospitality genuinely added to the overall experience. The view from the property was breathtaking, the food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing getaway. We genuinely loved our stay here and felt it was completely worth the money. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Coorg and looking for a peaceful, clean, and memorable stay!

The location is mesmerizing to start with. Good homely food. Would love to visit and stay longer to have a longer experience.

Traffic noise from far away which is a bit annoying in such a quiet place specially in the evening. There is nothing which the owner can do about but the rest of the experience was not much a concern. Maybe Toiletries can be improved upon.

What sets this place apart is the incredible hospitality of the owner. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel like old friends rather than guests. He truly went above and beyond, taking us for a drive to the local golf course and even sharing a piece of his heritage by showing us his ancestral house. Listening to his stories and deep-rooted experiences of growing up in Coorg added a layer of local history we could never have found in a guidebook. He even took the time to personally instruct and guide our cab driver to ensure we saw all the best hidden gems and places of interest. The Food: The facilities are perfect—it really is a "home away from home." The staff are courteous and talented, cooking meals exactly to your liking. We had the Chicken Curry and Paputtu, and it was divine! The authentic, home-cooked flavors were the highlight of our culinary experience. The "Purr-fect" Bonus: And oh God... the cats! They are such a joy and truly make the house feel complete. Between the misty valley views, the authentic Kodava soul, and the warmest hosts (both human and feline), Forestdale is a gem. We left feeling like family and can’t wait to return.

Of all the places I visited in Coorg, this homestay was the absolute best. It felt like a dream come true. I was completely enveloped by tranquility and peace the moment I arrived. The surroundings were just breathtaking—filled with beautiful greenery and vibrant flowers. I loved the serenity of the place.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Forestdale Coorg! The rooms were spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained offering the perfect blend of comfort and coziness. I especially loved the hill view room waking up to the serene view of misty hills and lush greenery was truly magical.

Property was too clean and located with a stunning view. Caretaker is very responsive and helped throughout the stay. Clear directions given by the property owner to reach the destination and helped to get the nearby places to visit.

1. Wi fi inadequate 2. Breakfast could offer more choices 3. Towels should be thicker - usual variety. The ones we were provided were very very thin. Insufficient to use comfortably.

Excellent location with a good scenic view. Staff was very humble and they gave a delicious home cooked food which was awesome. Owner of the property was very humble and share all details of sight seeing in and around coorg and guided us. Neat and clean property , well maintained.

Need to improve on wifi availability for all rooms. Some of the rooms doesn't get a wifi connectivity and we need to climb downstairs to dining area to get a good range for wifi. We stayed in a room where 3 triple beds were provided and a huge bathroom with attached toilet was there. Could have segregated the same so that it would speed up refreshment when 6 members stay together

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food, including breakfast, was enjoyable. The room was spacious, with spectacular views from both the room and the balcony.

The road inside the property to go to the home stay was very steep and with no lighting,so we had to come back before it was dark to the property ,toiletries were not up to the mark.

My family and I had a great time at Forestdale. The view and location are surreal. The home cooked meals were superb; thanks to Vikram bhaiya and Samita didi. We would like to thank Sunil Uthappa sir for the hospitality and for hosting us. Would love to visit again.

There were power fluctuations and thus a little inconvenient at night. However, we were informed that it was due to a storm the previous day, hence a natural disruption. Other than that everything was perfect.

great location and a very beautiful property with an excellent view the hospitality was great and we really loved the food. felt like we were in our own house!!

The room was very spacious and good.

There were no hand towels,tissues,proper blankets or towels. It’s more of a 100 rs thin blanket for so much money given for the room The food served was bland and served delayed every time. No time management or proper service . No complimentary water bottles

Forestdale indeed lives up to its name - surrounded by forests all around, it is a beautiful property that is peaceful and tranquil. Sunil is a wonderful host who helped us with some excellent recommendations that made our stay truly enjoyable. Govind and Sunita are the caretakers who make sure you're taken care of and prepare some soul comforting homecooked meals. We would definitely be coming back here and highly recommend this for a getaway from the city!
