How I was charged $17.50 for what I am not sure of I was checked out in a timely manner and everything. My niece had need to go back to the room because she thought she left her purse.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location is exceptional. While I had minor issues, the location made up for the minor technical issues with the hotel and room.

I love staying at the Hyatt Place. The location is close to shops and restaurants. The hotel is clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

What a horrible experience, I booked the same night over the phone and when I went to check in they over booked and told me the only option was to spend another $200 to upgrade the room. When I declined, they still charged me the full night for their error for “cancelling same day.” Trying to call them and speak to a manager, I was either on hold for 20 minutes or hung up on. Do not spend your money here!

I was in Jacksonville for a month due to visit my ill father and checked into this hotel for their outdoor pool since I had two of my young children with me. Although the pool was often overcrowded, it was clean and nice. This was the only positive experience of the hotel. Half of the staff seems burned out, to the point where making requests as a guest felt burdensome and inconvenient. The hotel is outdated and worn down, the breakfast offered in the morning is nice/ fresh but the breakfast area to eat is too hot to enjoy your food…these are things I can typically overlook but I felt like this hotel was trying their best to put profit above guest experiences. I stayed for 10 days and requested over 3 times for my sheets to be changed in the room and floor to be vacuumed. I couldn’t get housekeeping to accommodate this reasonable request once, although it was promised with each visit to the front desk. My children’s feet would turn black from the carpet if they did not keep their shoes on in the room. I got some tired of asking for my room to be cleaned properly and sheets changed I left a day and a half early just to get away from the hotel. Another issue the hotel needs to address is that there is a large parking lot in front of the hotel for guests that the nearby restaurant and cigar lounge visitors use at their convenience. This is the only parking for hotel and if you arrive late in the evening you will not find a parking spot. The hotel has automatic gates in place but I assume this is another thing management does not want to invest into maintaining at the expense of guest satisfaction. I was pretty disappointed in my stay here, and will make sure to never choose a Hyatt for a hotel. I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Jacksonville for two weeks prior to this and had absolutely no issues with anything, and I truly regret moving hotels to try this pool out.

We got in relatively late and pulled the covers down to urine stained sheets. We ended up sleeping on top of the bed over a blanket of ours until morning when we nicely requested new sheets for the room. It still took them 9 hours to get in and swap them for clean sheets. I understand mishaps happen, but they didn’t seem too bothered or sorry about it.

Everything. Nothing was clean thanks god I got my own sheets. I understand we are on a pet friendly hotel but you van leave someone’s else dog poop on the carpet and couch. We went first on a room 137 and the AC was so loud you couldn’t even talk, we went and ask to get another room and the receptionist( couldn’t get his name but long hair, bun at the top of his head , glasses) so unprofessional did not even know the 101 of customer service. Remind you this was at 12 pm at night where you are all tired from 7 hour of road trip. The shower omg it made an sound to a metal thing they had on the shower floor and shower head was rusty. Cannot even think of that breakfast, never in my life i have seen that type of breakfast, first day was strawberries from days before you could even see them . Second day was unwashed grapes. Breakfast had one eggs bacon or hash brown bagel or bread and thats it , then you had 4 types of cereals. Frequent travel all over the world but like this hotel i have not seen it even on the ones i have paid half of the price i paid here. The arrogance of that receptionist i will never forget Outside area most of the chairs destroyed. The pool area completely out of order. Not sure how can they be a HYATT! Took some photos but thats not even 1% of whats there.

Jacksonville I come from out of town to go to the Mayo clinic in Jacksonville and this hotel has treated me very well and they're not far from the location.

We were rushed to leave. Check out was at 12. The lady knocked on our door twice. The first time to ask what time we were leaving at 10 & the other was at 10:50. It was very annoying! If your going to rush why Make check out at 12?

The front lobby was messy the reception desk specifically. It looked like a utility closet. The microwave available to customers for use was extremely dirty with dried food in it and under it, not to mention the rotating glass dish was missing. The elevator carpet was dirty and it smelled musty. Staining on the wall as soon as you exited the elevator. Hallway smelled musty and certain parts of the carpet were dirty. The carpet in the room was stained and the bathtub was dusty and had hair in it. Compared the my stay at the Hyatt Centric Hotel in Southpark Charlotte this was very mediocre for $200 a night. I won’t be back.

We enjoyed our quick overnight stay. We were meeting family in the Jacksonville area so we made a quick beach trip out of it as well. Hotel was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good as well as the wings and burger we had for supper. Next time we are in the area we will stay here again.

Location was excellent… the deck overlooking the water was very nice, and the inside of the hotel is beautiful. Inside the lobby is extremely clean and smells nice. The room itself was very nice… furniture in great condition, mini fridge cold, towels and bedding were extremely clean and smelled fresh.

First and foremost, the photos of the pool were taken at an angle that makes the pool APPEAR to be huge and very luxurious… but it’s tiny and only 4.5’ deep ! More like a pool for a few kids than the massive resort style pool that the online image suggests. We actually circled the entire property thinking we had somehow overlooked the pool featured in the hotel photos. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING if your favorite part of staying in a hotel is relaxing in the pool. Room 134 had a slight musty / mildew scent that was emphasized every time the AC fan would kick on. That being said, the AC fan would not work at all on high - only on low, and the room didn’t really cool down properly until the middle of the night.

Always a wonderful experience staying here. Staff is fantastic. Convenient to shopping and Mayo Clinic. Affordable, conformable rooms. Well managed!

I have stayed here multiple times over the last two years when visiting or dropping off my son at college at UNF. I also stayed here with several other family members and friends and got a room block and a great rate back in October of 25'. The staff was welcoming and could certainly handle a large crowd. I will continue to stay here when I visit.

This hotel is in a great location-- walkable to many shops and restaurants. The breakfast buffet was excellent-- fresh and a wide variety. Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms are very neat and comfortable. Amenities were above and beyond-- the best one being the large deck facing the beautiful lake, complete with couches and rocking chairs to watch the birds frolic. Would definitely visit again!

Great location and clean. Seems to have limited parking but we always found a spot. Staff refused to address a large group who took over the lobby. They were playing drinking games, being loud, and vulgar. You could watch families rushing past to get to the elevators. Staff refused to address the issue because they were repeat customers.

Great location, hotel need to improve Breakfast and the Mattress. Our Thermostat did not work and we had to have maintenance work on it.
