What is Lodgegrid?

Lodgegrid is a hotel decision platform. Instead of returning hundreds of hotels for a destination, it takes a description of your trip — who is travelling, where you want to be, and what matters to you — and narrows the available hotels to a small shortlist that fits, then recommends the strongest match and explains why.

How does Lodgegrid decide which hotels fit my trip?

Lodgegrid reads your request and resolves it into concrete criteria it can check: the city or neighbourhood, the landmarks and places you want to be near, the type of trip (for example a couple, a family, or a first visit), and the qualities that matter such as quiet rooms or nearby restaurants. It then evaluates candidate hotels on location and measured distance to those places, nearby points of interest, guest rating, review volume, price range and the topics guests repeatedly raise.

Why does Lodgegrid show fewer hotels than a booking site?

Because a long list is the problem, not the product. A typical city returns hundreds of properties ranked mostly by price and popularity, which does not tell you whether a hotel suits your trip. Lodgegrid deliberately reduces that to a comparable set and states the tradeoff for each option, so the decision is between a few understood choices rather than many unknown ones.

Where do the guest review topics come from?

They are aggregated from third-party guest reviews supplied by Lodgegrid's data provider. Lodgegrid does not write reviews and does not collect its own guest ratings. It groups the existing reviews for a property into recurring topics — for example location, cleanliness, staff, breakfast or noise — so you can see what guests mention repeatedly instead of reading every review. Does Lodgegrid explain why it recommends a hotel?

Yes. Every recommendation is presented with the evidence behind it: how the hotel matches the preferences you described, how far it is from the places you named, what is nearby, what guests consistently praise, and the tradeoffs — the things guests complain about or the ways the hotel is weaker than the alternatives.

Do I need an account to use Lodgegrid?

No. Lodgegrid requires no account, no sign-up and no login. You can describe a trip and get a shortlist immediately.

Does Lodgegrid sell the bookings?
