Reviewed Sep 19, 2026מיקום מצויין במרכז הסאסי ליד המון מסעדות ובמרחק סביר מכל האתרים של העיר. מלון בוטיק מתוק ומעוצב מקסים. ישנו ממש במערה תת קרקעית מיוחדת מאוד ומעוצבת. מיטה נוחה מאוד.
הרעש מהרחוב לפנות בוקר של פינוי אשפה ובקבוקים היה נוראי ממש מעל החלון. והיה רק סדין דקיק להתכסות. למה לא שמים שמיכה?

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Atendimento bastante cordial. A reepção não é 24h mas se ajusta para auxiliar as necessidades, como a guarda de mala, por exemplo. Quartos confortáveis e bonitos, recem reformados. Localização escelente para conhecer os Sassi a pé. Recomenda estacionamentos e schuttels para chegar ao Sassi.
Apenas comentando que tem escadas, então necessário levar as malas a escada acima. não é um problema exatamente, afinal estamos no Sassi, Mas vale comentar para quem for reservar.

Cada habitación tiene detalles ùnicos, la decoracion esta diseñada para que te sientas cozy. La localización es perfecta a minutos de todo , dentro del centro historico, el areá más hermosa de Matera. Las habitacion es hermosa, esta hecha en una cueva, super romantica. Valeria y su esposo, son bien serviciales, nos sentimos en familia. Esperamos verlos pronto

Hinweis: Man sollte einen Shuttel zum Hotel buchen, da es dort keine Parkmöglichkeiten gibt und zu Fuß mit Koffern von einem Parkplatz dorthin zu gehen ist keine gute Idee.

It was the one on the main level right behind the check-in desk behind the restaurant area (so also no need to carry bags anywhere). Very stylish decor; very modern, upscale and ancient at the same time. Spotless, comfortable luxury. Great breakfast. Our host Valeria was very nice and helpful. The town is fascinating.
Loved it all. If we return to Matera we will stay here again.

Reviewed Jun 28, 2026Großes Zimmer in schönem Stil. Sehr nette und kompetente Begrüßung von einem Mann, der uns wertvolle Tipps für die Tage in der Matera gab.
Leider wurde es an 3 Tagen nicht geputzt und wir bekamen keine frischen Handtücher. Der Fernseher funktionierte nicht, über den Whats App Kontakt bekamen wir keine Antwort. Das Frühstück war Katastrophe. Erst einmal wurden die Plätze auf der Terrasse freigehalten für eine Familie mit 2 Teenager Jungs und wir mit Kleinkind wurden dorthin gesetzt, wo der Boden abfällig war. Es gab kein Kinderstuhl und man hat uns Kissen gegeben. Schon nach ein paar Minuten ist unser Kind vom Stuhl gefallen, was fast absehbar war. Es ist nichts passiert. Wir bekamen Joghurt mit Früchten, das war okay. Die Eier (sie hatte nurnoch 2, waren verdorben.) Auf Nachfrage ob wir für den Kleinen eine Banane bekämen, wurde uns ein Stummel angeboten, auch hier hieß es sie hätten keine mehr. Es gab aber noch Focaccia, was komplett!! schwarz an der Unterseite verbrannt war. Außerdem war die Frau etwas genervt und komplett überfordert mit der Zubereitung unserer beiden Frühstücke. Am zweiten Morgen entschieden wir uns woanders zu frühstücken. Wenn man die äußeren Türen offen ließ, damit man wenigstens etwas Licht ins Zimmer bekommen hat, konnte man nicht abschließen, was nachts etwas unangenehm war, da der Eingang zum Zimmer separat von außen zugänglich war.

The owner, who is a former chef, makes all the breakfast from scratch, and it is an absolute must-try—it was truly delicious, especially the focaccia which I still dream about! Our room was a beautifully and artistically designed cave that felt dreamlike, magical, and wonderfully cool. The owner’s interior design taste is incredibly sophisticated. Thanks to the detailed explanation of the Sassi area and the map provided, our 3-day stay was fully enriched. I also had dinner at a restaurant recommended by the owner; everything from the pasta with Cruschi peppers to the main course and the tiramisu was flawless. This was the final stop of our honeymoon, and the warmth and kindness of the owner's family made this a hotel and a city we truly long to visit again.

Reviewed Jun 8, 2026Ai Maestri Rooms&Cafe was a stunning property. Our room, especially the bathroom was so beautiful - it felt like we were in a fancy shop. It was very cool showering in what felt like a cave with beautiful sandstone coloured high vaulted ceilings. The breakfast was really yummy & in a gorgeous setting out on the terrace. Perfect location for walking around Matera & we also had only a few stairs to navigate with our luggage, being in room 1. The host was such a sweetheart - so friendly & accomodating. We highly recommend Ai Maestri Rooms&Cafe & if we’re ever back in Matera, will definitely make sure we stay here again!

Nous avons choisi cette chambre car il était mentionné "terrasse" (Le descriptif de la chambre mentionne une terrasse) qui en fait est la terrasse commune! Le gérant n'a pas été content de ma remarque, pour lui tout était clair dans le descriptif. Par ailleurs, le descriptif de la chambre mentionne "coin salon" alors qu'il n'y a qu'un fauteuil dans un coin, et "coin bureau" alors qu'il s'agit d'une petite table ronde avec 2 chaises. L'horaire du pt déjeuner alors que nous devions partir à 9h mentionne de 8h30 à 10h, nous y étions à 8h30 mais n'avons été servi qu'à 8h50...

Relativ teuer, aber sehr attraktiv. Gelegen in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Dom. Frühstück wird nach persönlichen Wünschen gestaltet.

Reviewed May 5, 2026Everything It’s very well located. Comfortable bed and sofa bed and pillows . Apartment is very cosy and it fit 3 adults just right. Host was very welcoming. There are some treats in the small kitchen like yogurt, muffins, and other sweets, crackers, jelly, coffee, tea and a few small bottles of water. The bathroom is spacious and the water pressure is good. The shower is a bit small but not a problem for us. We highly recommend the apartment!
There was construction work going on in the building so it became very loud in the morning and probably during the day but we were gone all day. It wasn’t a problem for us and the host warned us about the construction when we checked in.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026The location couldn’t have been better as it was two minutes from two excellent restaurants - Oi Marì and Conzato and a six minute walk ( all uphill ) from a supermarket. The hotel was minimalist in the best sense of the word and integrated modern amenities and a beautiful old building seamlessly. MATERA itself is a marvel. I highly recommend taking a tour with ApeVito as he explained the history of the city in a way that you could only get with a native of this amazing place.
It was not possible to adjust the AC to cool down the room sufficiently.

Reviewed Oct 28, 2025Wyjątkowy butikowy hotelik, przemiła obsługa, śniadanie szyte na miarę. Pomoc w ustaleniu planu zwiedzania, zamówieniu taxi. mogliśmy zostawić bagaże przed i po zakończeniu doby. Matera jest przepięknym miejscem a lokalizacja hotelu centralnie na starym mieście, idealna. wrócimy, już tęsknimy za tym miejscem.
Zabłądziliśmy, stojąc przed - zmęczeni podróżą nie widzieliśmy nazwy hotelu. Może więcej reklamy?

Reviewed Oct 26, 2025Chambre troglodyte magnifique, très grande et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Un lieu magique. Très calme. Nicola et sa femme sont d'une grande gentillesse et nous les remercions pour cet accueil. Ils possèdent également un très bon restaurant où nous nous sommes régalés. Très bon petit déjeuner. Idéalement situé dans le sassi barisano. Nous reviendrons.

Reviewed Oct 22, 2025Die Lage mitten in den Sassi war einfach phänomenal. Wir konnten die Stadt so bestens zu Fuß erkunden. Unser Zimmer war super schön eingerichtet und sehr großzügig. Das Frühstück wurde sehr liebevoll angerichtet.

Der Checkin war unentspannt. Offensichtlich war die Dame unter Zeitdruck. Es gab keine Kaffeemaschine, obwohl diese laut Ausstattung hätte vorhanden sein müssen. Der Frühstückservice war sehr weit unterdurchschnittlich. Eigentlich hätte es Frühstück ab 8:30 Uhr geben sollen. Vor 9 Uhr war aber kein Frühstück zu haben., da noch niemand da war. Alles lief sehr schleppend. Man wird am Tisch befragt, was man genau essen möchte und dann wird einem eine kleine Portion davon vorgesetzt. Kein Buffet, keine üppige Auswahl. Sehr schade!!! Dieses Frühstücksangebot ist einer solch schönen Unterkunft eigentlich nicht würdig.

Reviewed Oct 9, 2025Huge, very comfortable room in a very cute/modern hotel right in the center of Matera. Very nice shared terrace. Great location and staff was incredibly kind. They can arrange a shuttle from parking lot to the hotel if necessary as cars are not allowed in the center of the town.
