Everything was superb during my stay. Room was large and comfortable , breakfast was good , great location , and the staff are al so friendly and helpful. A special thankyou to the lovely lady Tham at reception who was so delightful and helpful. Ive stayed in HCMC many times and overall the Ben Thanh Retreats is the best.

Local hotel in easy walking distance to shopping restaurants and massages. Got a late checkout for a small fee. Staff accommodating with requests

Building being erected directly next door so banging begins at 0700 everyday! Only has one bedside table which is annoying if you have medical equipment etc.

The room (suite) was very clean and spacious and staff very kind and helpful.

The location was quite well hidden in a maze of narrow alleys which could feel weird although it did not really bother us. It's still in a very central location at walking distance from independence palace and Ben Thanh Market etc sights.

Small (8 room ) spotlessly clean everywhere in the hotel and room , breakfast was great you chose of a menu and they bought it to you . Staff were so friendly and helpful. Hotel did laundry and it smelt amazing and came back within a few hrs for same price as laundry nearby .We loved this cute hotel and cant praise the staff enough

Unfortunatetly there was building work next door - even on a Sunday which spoilt what would have been a peaceful stay otherwise.

The staff, especially the girl at breakfast, just excellent. Everyone has a smile on their faces and happy to give you all the information. Spotless rooms, decent breakfast, very close to the bar streets.

Our room didn't have any natural light, because of the construction next door. There was a window, but it was blocked by an outside wall

Good area for seeing Ho Chi Minh, many restaurants and close Ben Thanh market. Staff very helpful and informative about local attractions.

Was difficult to find and access was walk in only. However we had no trouble getting our pick ups or drop offs via grab or taxi.

Wenn man in einem bestimmten Hotel zum ersten mal ein Zimmer bucht, weiss man nie so genau was einen erwartet. Diesmal war es eine sehr gute Wahl. Ich habe mich während meines gesamten Aufenthalts in diesem Hotel wohl gefühlt, es war jeden Dong mehr als wert. Ob Freundlichkeit des Personals, Ausstattung, Sauberkeit des Zimmers inklusive Bad und so weiter gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Eine klare Empfehlung.

Ich habe kein Luxushotel gebucht. Ich wüsste daher nicht, was vor allem zu diesem Preis besser hätte sein können.

There was very little not to like. There was some construction noise next door, but don't let that put you off, as the area was quiet at night.

The room was very spacious and clean with good facilities. Great for the price. The people I spoke with most were the young woman and man on Reception and they were both delightful, very friendly and helpful - they went above and beyond what I expected. Location was great for visiting tourist.spots - all within walking distance. The taxi can't drop you at the door, but it's just a short walk down an alley - I was a sole traveller with a large suitcase and was able to manage it on my own - (didnt have to when I was leaving because the lovely young woman on Reception did it for me - and waited with me until my taxi arrived - thank you so much).

Nada, fiquei menos de duas horas neste local Isto ocorreu porque a ducha do banheiro não estava funcionando. Chamei o funcionário da recepção que também viu que a água não saía. Chamou o gerente ou dono.Que veio vestido de forma inconveniente e com muita grosseria não aceitou a explicação do funcionário que a ducha estava com problemas. Ele próprio demorou a colocar a ducha em condições e disse que estava Tudo certo. Que "nós " que não sabíamos usar. Discordei. Pedi para mudar de quarto. Não fui atendida. Insisti. Fui obrigada a passar o cartão com o pagamento das 5 diárias. Acionei o Booking que NÃO tomou nenhuma providência. Fiquei sem condições e insegura de ficar no Ben Thanh Retreats Hotel. Reservei outro hotel pelo Booking (Good Vibes). Saí arrastando minhas malas pelo beco 21 hs até chegar a avenida e pedir um Grab. Fiquei com duas reservas ativas. Apesar de Todo o horror que passei, foi descontado no meu cartão 5 diárias sendo que nem um banho consegui tomar no BEN THANH RETREATS HOTEL

De ter sido maltratada, desrespeitada no meu direito de consumidora pelo hotel. E do Booking nada ter feito até o momento porque fui cobrada pelo Booking 5 diárias. O dono chegou a dizer que NÃO compareci no hotel. Reservei sem a opção de cancelamento porque tinha certeza que ficaria em Ho Chi Min, pq seria de lá que voltaria para o Brasil. Tinha toda a minha viagem esquematizada pelo Booking.Sou cliente a mais de 20 anos e é com muita decepção que faço este depoimento sobre o que ocorreu neste hotel e a indiferença do Booking com minha situação. Eu fiz meu Tour de 50 dias em quarto individual. Então estava sozinha e tive que me virar em uma noite de sábadoem uma cidade que havia terminado de chegar, em um país estrangeiro Porque não tive nenhum apoio do Booking. Que ainda assim nada fez para que eu pudesse reaver as 5 diárias que paguei. Queria entender que regra é essa que mesmo o hotel não tendo te oferecido o mínimo que é um chuveiro funcionando, você é obrigado a ficar lá? Onde fica Os Direitos do Consumidor?

The location was perfect, close to everything, but tucked away on a small quiet street, so it was very peaceful. The staff were extremely helpful, hospitable, and welcoming. The room was nice, very clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, great value for money and we would happily stay here again.

The alley that the hotel is located in is very quiet, but still very close to all the famous spots in district 1 - I walked pretty much everywhere to and from the hotel. The room I stayed in was clean and had everything I needed, the bed was comfortable and there was no issue with the wifi. The breakfast provided by the hotel was also pretty good, it’s not a buffet but still had quite a few options to choose from. The staff in the hotel are all extremely friendly, I mostly interacted with the receptionist who is usually there in the mornings (I forgot to ask for her name!) who gave a lot of suggestions of where to go and recommendations for restaurants/cafes. I definitely recommend staying here if you want good hospitality and a quiet spot located not far from all the places to see in Ho Chi Minh City.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - even offering me an umbrella to take out when rain was forecast. Breakfast was delicious and made to order. The room was bigger than expected, with a great shower and an excellent desk to work at. They even offered a free bottled welcome drink from the fridge (I could choose water, soft drink, or beer). The bottled drinks for sale were very convenient and affordable as well. Being a little way from the main road was a plus for me - meant it was quiet, and I enjoyed the vibe in the laneways. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in Ho Chi Minh City!

Unglaublich freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Sehr sauberes großes Zimmer mit Aircon und eifenem großen Badezimmer. Jeden Tag wurde das Zimmer gemacht und frische Handtücher gebracht. Das Fenster ging aufgrund der sehr eng beieinander stehrnden Häuser direkt auf eine Ziegrlwand, was uns aber nicht gestört hat, da wir sowieso den ganzen Tag unterwegs waren. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, man konnte von eiber Karte wählen. Es gan jeden Tag frische Wasserflaschen für den Tag umsonst mit dazu. Fazit: eine wunderbare ruhige Oase inmitten der lebhaften Stadt. Dir meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß zu erreichen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Ben Thanh Retreats Hotel sehr genossen und können es nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen. ​Die Lage ist einfach unschlagbar: absolut zentral und dennoch überraschend ruhig. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer der typischen, etwas verwinkelten Gassen Saigons. Das hat uns überhaupt nicht gestört – im Gegenteil, es verleiht dem Ganzen einen authentischen Charme und schirmt den Straßenlärm perfekt ab. Wir wurden unglaublich freundlich empfangen und haben uns vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt. Die Mitarbeiter sind extrem hilfsbereit, geben tolle Tipps für die Umgebung. Auch in puncto Sauberkeit gibt es absolut nichts auszusetzen. Die Zimmerreinigung war tadellos – jeden Tag. Frühstück wird hier individuell nach Auswahl von der Karte frisch zubereitet. Die Auswahl ist genügend und die Qualität der Speisen gut. .Wir hatten ein tolles Zimmer im 4. Stock, das durch ein großes Fenster und Bakontür wunderbar hell und freundlich war.

The staff are lovely, and friendly, always there if you need them. Room kept tidy. Breakfast was so good, always plenty of food. Even if you're just staying for a couple of nights, I must recommend you try the cà phê sữa đá, and the omelette for breakfast.

The mattress was hard, other than that, nothing.

Our room was big, had a large bed, had AC, clean and friendly helpful staff that gave us tips on the best places to eat and drink nearby. The hotel is run by a family and located on a residential area in an alley so there's no noise and gives a more local feeling, if you're searching that. Our return flight was at night, the staff allowed us to storage the luggage for the day and also take a shower to refresh ourselves.

All good, we enjoyed our stay.

Well managed hotel. The room size was decent and they were clean and quiet. It's a small hotel and it's not on t cfhe road, you have to walk a bit to get to the hotel, it's a very short walk so we didn't mind it. The location is walking distance from most of the hotspots in the city. Breakfast was good and fresh. The staff was friendly and respectful.

I would normally stay in a more expensive hotel but this was great value. The location is very hidden away, which I liked, yet it was within walking distance to many great venues. I was traveling solo and this hotel suited me very well!

Everything really was great. We booked the place on the basis of good reviews and weren't disappointed. Reviews often mentioned that the hotel is down an alley, which can conjure up an image of something dark & dangerous. Rather, it's down a narrow street that isn't wide enough for cars, but it's always well lit, and used by pedestrians & scooters, so is perfectly safe. It's in a great spot in walking distance to many places of interest, and was extremely quiet. The staff here were all so friendly, welcoming and helpful on so many occasions. The room & hotel were clean & comfortable, and the breakfast whilst basic, was filling, fresh & delicious. We stayed four nights, and would definitely return here if back in Saigon.
