Reviewed Sep 16, 2026Modern classic hotel, easy check-in and check-out process, parking nearby. Super comfy beds. I need to find out what duvets and pillows they use because I want them permanently in my life. Rooms were spacious, clean. Well connected area, easy access to airport or downtown.
Our room faced the gym across the street. It was fine for one night, but can't really keep the curtains open without staring at gym-goers and vice versa. Would be nice to have thin day curtains in addition to the thick blackout curtains. Also, parking nearby can be quite expensive. These were minor things.

Reviewed Sep 15, 2026Room was nice and of a good size. It was clean and warm, with a big window. Adjustable heating was a plus. Bathroom was well equiped, only the toilet paper holder kept getting stuck. Self check in and out was easy, and late check out was a good option with reasonable price.
A closet would be nice instead of a desk.

There was no tv, and one of the stuff speaking English was very rude when we have told him about our problem. And then we came back later so the Norwegian girl was really nice and helped us.

Suggest skipping breakfast and saving money for something better. Breakfast at the hotel is really basic, consisting of cheap, low-quality products. There are better options outside.

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Location was great in relation to the tram. Bed was reasonably comfortable. We brought our own coffee maker so we had coffee in the room. Room darkening curtain was very effective.
It would have been nice to have a nightlight in the bathroom so, when getting up in the middle of the night, the only option wasn't blaring light.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Nothing, outside of a bed, a toilet that flushes and a roof over my head, nothing was to my satisfaction given the money that was spent.
This was easily one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve had. The breakfast was horrific. It’s outsourced to Hangry Hub, the restaurant downstairs, and both the quality and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. I had to turn over multiple mugs just to find one that actually looked clean. For something you’re paying extra for as “breakfast”, the standard was completely unacceptable. Then there are the rooms. There was no toilet paper, which is an absurd thing to have to discover after checking into a hotel room. The lack of even the most basic amenities was also shocking. No shower gel or shampoo, no kettle, no mugs, no complimentary tea or coffee, and no TV. I understand that Citybox positions itself as a simple, no-frills hotel, but there is a difference between “no-frills” and simply providing as little as possible. Honestly, I’ve stayed in student accommodation that was better equipped than this. If all you want is a room with a bed and practically nothing else, then perhaps this will do. But for what is marketed and priced as a hotel, the experience was incredibly poor. I would not stay here again and certainly wouldn’t recommend it.

Unfortunately, my stay was quite disappointing. The staff were often rude and unhelpful, and I found some interactions unnecessarily dismissive. The bed was uncomfortable, and I didn’t feel the breakfast was worth the price. There also wasn’t much in the immediate area around the hotel. Overall, the experience fell well below my expectations for the price.

Breakfast time was not flexible, at weekend there can be many programs beginning in the morning and also travelling further, so 08:00 AM is a bit late. Choice is not big, and sometimes the pieces of fruits and vegetables are not fresh. Even at the beginning of the breakfast the scrambled eggs and sausages have not yet been made. The small rooms are extreme small. Unfavorable money for value rate. Reduced room cleaning etc. sounds good for sustainability perspective, but honestly, it means that you provide less for the same money. So I would rather call it a cost cutting policy, wrapped in greenwashing.

Un parking gratuit avec la chambre serait un plus.

Synes det var et dyrt ophold i forhold til, at det meste var selvbetjening. Det var lidt svært at tjekke ind, da man skulle scanne pas, kørekort eller lignende ind. Vi oplevede, at flere havde problemer ved indtjeningen. Der er en restaurant tilknyttet hotellet og det var en katastrofe. Meget dårligt mad, manglende opfyldning og personalet virkede ligeglade med gæsterne. Det trækker det samlede indtryk af opholdet ned
