Reviewed Feb 9, 2026Bereits unser dritter Aufenthalt im Simbavati Cederberg Ridge - ich fühle mich hier unglaublich wohl. Die Kombination aus Luxus und Natur ist einfach atemberaubend. Die Küche ist wirklich sehr gut und die Ausstattung fühlt sich sehr komfortabel an.
Die teuerste Zimmerkategorie hebt sich kaum merklich von den anderen Kategorien ab - die "Pool Suite" hat nur einen kleinen Mini-Pool den man dann eher nicht zum schwimmen nutzt. Da finde ich die unterschiedliche Preisgestaltung etwas schwierig nachzuvollziehen.

Reviewed Nov 23, 2025Die Unterkunft lässt keine Wünsche offen! Es ist genau so wie man es sich wünscht, wenn man Afrika und Ruhe genießen möchte. Man kann was unternehmen aber man muss nicht. Die angebotene Tours sind super abwechselnd. Die Zimmer sind sehr komfortabel und großzügig. Das Essen und die Weinauswahl haben 1 Stern verdient. Mein Highlight der Chicken Burger zum Lunch! :) das Personal ist wahnsinnig freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Man will nicht weg und es ist schwierig diese Unterkunft zu topen ! Danke für alles!

Reviewed Oct 8, 2025Die Lage etwas erhöht auf dem Hügel sorgt für wunderbare Aussichten. Die Lodge sowie die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr geräumig. Dass Essen, der Service, die Massage, die Aktivitäten ... alles ganz hervorragend.
Sternenbeobachtungwurde als Aktivität angeboten, kann aber nicht mit den Sternebeobachtungen in Namibia und den dortigen Lodges und deren Ausstattung diebezüglich standhalten.

The only reason I gave them 4/5 was due to our aircon that didn’t work. At close to 7k a night - they were going to put a small fan in the room to keep it warm and I said definitely not. They than moved us to another room however made a point of mentioning they upgraded us as it was just for an evening. Barring that the place is stunning and if you looking for a quiet remote getaway this is the place to go.

The room, staff, and meals were exceptional. They have free activities (bicycle riding, guided tours, stargazing etc.) available at no additional cost.

die Qualität und die Auswahl des Dinners lies zu wünschen übrig. Alles war sehr schwach gewürzt und in fast allen Gerichten wurden Zwiebeln verwendet. Die Hauptspeise bestand aus einem kleinen Stück Fisch und maximal einem Esslöffel Beilage. Da nützt auch alles schöne Anrichten nichts, wenn der Geschmack und die Zusammenstellung der Speisen nicht passt.

Lots of nice shower gels, etc. The Staff were very attentive and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were amazing. There are lots of things to do, other than relaxing. They have organised trips, a Spa, plus bikes to hire with trails and walking routes. The stocked bar fridge and treats in the room were a nice touch. The water bottles with our name on were a lovely surprise.

Reviewed May 10, 2025A peaceful, luxurious retreat in a stunning setting We had an incredible stay at Simbavati Cederberg Ridge. From the moment we arrived (late in the evening), we were warmly welcomed and looked after, even being offered dinner before check-in. The whole experience felt thoughtful and well-organised from the start. We were lucky to be upgraded to a Superior Pool Suite, which was spacious, beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. The private terrace, heated pool, double bathrooms, and both indoor and outdoor showers made it feel like a true luxury experience. Housekeeping was excellent—our room was refreshed promptly whenever we stepped out, and laundry service was quick and efficient. The setting is quiet and remote, ideal for fully switching off. The decor is modern and elegant, and the whole lodge has a calm, peaceful atmosphere. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge. Food was excellent, with high-quality breakfast and dinner included (we had half board). There was a good variety of options, including daily specials, and the service in the restaurant was consistently great. We didn’t try any of the hikes or tours, but the spa treatments were lovely—the massage and pedicure left us feeling totally relaxed. The team were outstanding throughout—friendly, attentive, and proactive. A special thank you to Christian at reception and the restaurant staff who went out of their way to make our stay feel special. One really thoughtful gesture was returning to our room to find a candlelit bath run for us on our final night.

Truly pinch yourself moment waking up to the sun rising over the mountains. Peace and tranquillity. Excellent, discrete, professional service. Good food and wine. Lovely big swimming pool. As others have said, coming back to the room on our last night to find a candlelit bath had been run for us is just one indictor of the attention to personal service. Guided walk was a memorable experience with a knowledgeable guide.
We'd booked full board and activities, not knowing how it would work and not wanting to miss anything. In retrospect, it may have been better to sign up to activities as desired as many are weather dependent, and of course dependent upon how one feels on the day. Area outside at the end of our room (#11) needs tidying up a little.

We especially loved sitting on the terrace for evening meal watching the sun changing the surrounding hills to an orange glow. It was very hot when we visited ( 40 degrees… dry heat) so we didn’t attempt any of the activities that involved a lot of walking!

Man merkt einfach wie gerne alle Mitarbeiter ihren Job machen und wie jeder den Gästen die schönste Zeit bereiten will. Es gibt 2 Pools mit einer sehr angenehmen Größe.
