Where do I even begin? This stay was beyond anything I could have imagined and exceeded every expectation. Even before we arrived, our trip to the Maldives was filled with unexpected delays and travel issues. Jihan (from Algeria), who helped with our booking, was incredibly kind, patient, and reassuring. Speaking to her during such a stressful time genuinely put us at ease, and we are so grateful for her warmth. Once we arrived, Stephanie (from Malaysia) became our personal concierge, and she was simply exceptional. Thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely caring, she went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. We were celebrating my mom's birthday, and Stephanie made sure she felt truly special and celebrated every step of the way. Her kindness made such a difference to our experience. We also had a massage with Yanti (from Indonesia), and it was one of the highlights of our trip. She was incredibly skilled, gentle, and so caring, especially with my mom. We also joined her sound healing session, which was such a beautiful and calming experience. The hospitality throughout the resort was outstanding. Every single member of staff greeted us with a smile and made us feel genuinely welcome. We stayed in one of the newly renovated villas, and it felt like an absolute dream—beautifully designed, luxurious, and incredibly peaceful. This was more than just a holiday; it felt like being welcomed into a family. Thank you to everyone for making this trip with my mom so meaningful and memorable. We will cherish these memories forever. Without a doubt, we will be back. In fact, this has officially earned a permanent spot on our annual travel calendar. Thank you for everything! Ongoing renovation of some villas ( April 2026) was a bit confusing but didn’t spoil my vacation, you couldn’t hear the noise.

Mattress could have been better quality

We stayed at Jumeirah Olhahali for 5 nights at the start of November 2025 and it was by far the best holiday we’ve had. Whilst the transfers are expensive, the process from the Jumeriah is seamless. There is zero stress and zero hassle. From the moment you collect your baggage at the airport, there is a member of staff to look after you. Ishaan was prompt and helpful. We took the speed boat and it was a smooth trip. We celebrated our daughter’s 1st birthday during our stay. The team at Jumeirah Olhahali went above and beyond in every aspect. The island is small and intimate. There is a real close feeling with all staff as they pay close attention to detail to remember the important details. We stayed in an ocean villa. The room was amazing, so big and catered to our family needs so well. It was so clean, modern and spacious. There are 3 restaurants, all of them served great food, lots of different options and the portion sizes were great. The staff in the restaurants were also amazing, always remembering the little details about our family and having things ready before we arrived. We enjoyed being greeted by Zinadia and she looked after us very well. Fazeel was also lovely each day, checking in our stay when we would eat at the restaurants. The spa was also small, with treatment rooms only but the treatment rooms are awesome. We had 2 massages and we felt so relaxed and rejuvenated. It was worth the money. We also did snorkelling and had a photo session with the in house photography team. Again, everything was organised extremely well. We could not complete this review without mentioning our fantastic island host. Maazy was/is the reason our stay at the Jumeriah Olhahali was so fantastic. All guests are assigned an island host who look after you. Maazy went above and beyond every day to help our family. There were balloon decorations and birthday cakes organised.

I recently booked a 3-night stay at Jumeirah Maldives Olhahali Island from August 5th to 8th, 2025. On August 3rd, I made the reservation, but within less than 12 hours, I realized I needed to make changes and immediately contacted the hotel. First, I politely asked for a cancellation and refund, explaining that it had only been a few hours since booking. This request was denied. Then, within 20 minutes of that response, I sent another request — this time asking to simply reschedule the stay to different dates, fully accepting that I wouldn’t receive a refund, but at least hoping for some flexibility. Unfortunately, Jumeirah’s response was equally disappointing. They told me that I could reschedule only if I paid the full amount again — essentially requiring a second payment of nearly $4,000 just to move the dates. The money I had already paid would not be transferred to the new dates, and no credit or voucher was offered. To me, this felt like a mockery of what hospitality should be. I didn’t receive a direct “no,” but rather a cold and robotic message saying: “Yes, you can reschedule — if you pay again.” This interaction made it very clear to me that Jumeirah is far more interested in taking your money than in creating a positive guest experience. Their customer service was robotic, unempathetic, and completely inflexible — exactly the opposite of what you’d expect from a luxury 5-star resort with top ratings. What made the contrast even more striking was my experience just two weeks earlier at OZEN LIFE MAADHOO, where I encountered a similar situation. I had to change my travel dates, and OZEN’s team handled it with understanding and professionalism. While they, too, couldn’t offer a refund, they happily allowed me to shift the reservation to new dates — no additional charges, no complications. Just respectful, human-centered service. As a business owner myself, I find Jumeirah’s policy absurd. The payment was already made.

We rarely take the time with my wife to leave an evaluation on booking for the hotels we book but given the excellence of this establishment we are obliged to do so! We have rarely seen such a quality service! Thank you to Asif, Makua and Mahmoud for contributing to this wonderful moment. The Villas on stilts are incredible, the impeccable room cleaning service not to mention the restaurants where the food is excellent. Until the deposit of our luggage on the plane for our return, we were accompanied by staff who did not hesitate to wait as long as we did at the airport for boarding. In short, we highly recommend this hotel which deserves its success on Booking!

the staff were very friendly and specially Thariq who assisted us in everything and manage our stay to be perfect. although they have 3 restaurants i believe they should have the option of buffet not only a la cat menus however the food taste was excellent

A truly magical place! A small Heaven on earth! Everything was exceptional and the service is really tailored around every small personal need we had! Hats off to Stephanie who was instrumental throughout the stay!

Absolute Paradise, everything about the island was perfect, the rooms were huge and a lot bigger than other islands, the food choices and restaurants were absolutely incredible, snorkeling was great, I could not pick a single fault with the island

Not the Maldives Escape You Dream Of – Avoid Until Changes Are Made The Maldives should be about peace, seclusion, and nature, but this resort (Jumeirah) delivered none of that. My overwater villa, meant to be a tranquil retreat, felt more like a noisy harbor – endless motorboats passing by all day and seaplanes taking off LITERALLY!in front of me. Jetski as well pass right in fron of villas but it is minor distraction .Forget serenity when engines are your constant soundtrack. The staff did their best – our butler Sanji was super attentive and helpful , and the chef went above and beyond with every evening specials( only! For us )even made borscht, which was a surprising touch( for not Russian chef ). But none of this outweighs the resort’s biggest flaw – an absolutely unacceptable location for most expensive overwater villas that ruins the entire experience. Instead of solitude and ocean bliss, you’re stuck with boat traffic and noise that’s entirely out of place for the Maldives. The villas are new, spacious, and well-maintained. Water is crystal clear and sea world around are still beautiful and rich .No bicycles on the island – minor, but still noticeable. I left exhausted and frustrated. Until the management fixes these logistical issues, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Paying for a Maldives getaway only to endure constant noise is simply unacceptable.

Amazing staff and service. We were well taken care of by our butler for the stay Arif. Mahmoud from the beach bar was also very friendly and amazing! The villas are very luxurious and spacious. The food is also great especially the Peruvian Kayto restaurant. There are a lot of activities to do. Ideal for honeymoon goers.

Sustainability, top notch hospitality, high quality food and services. Rooms were very spacious and clean, bright and comfortable. Every piece of furniture was high end carefully selected. Wood and leather used in all their interior with unique pieces of arts from the sea.

Well designed ocean villas, shaded sandy walls, fine sandy beaches.

Food quality so so, the wood fire vegetarian pizza a good exception.

The location heaven on earth

The food was terrible and we got poisoned we also got sick for several days my wife and my son and me did not like the food at all breakfast was lousy dinner was lousy in the end we were scared to eat so we do not want to be poisoned again.

Everything exceeded my expectations, truly a very personalized and exceptional experience! A special thank you to our island host Majda, for going above and beyond for our comfort and happiness, our kids also loved her and looked forward to seeing her everyday! - Every single staff member always smiling and ready to help. - Breakfast was excellent and so were the other restaurants. Every meal I had during my stay was delicious. - Extremely kid friendly, everyone always made my kids very comfortable. Kids menu also very delicious! - The Villa is very spacious and housekeeping always kept it very clean. - The speedboat from and to Male airport is very comfortable. - When leaving the island to go to Male airport, a staff member escorted us and helped us in the airport all the way to before immigration, this was very helpful.

Hands down one of the best properties to be at in the Maldives. What an incredible experience of service and the room is an absolute dream. Truly, it’s worth all the value from the dining options to the attention to detail.

Everything was perfect. However, the overall experience ruined by the quality of the speed boat.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the speed boat, which supposed to be a luxary one. The quality was not up to the expectation given the price paid, and the long trip (1hour) from the resort to the airpor.

The island offers pure relaxation. It already starts at the airport, where the friendly groundstaff immediately starts taking any weight off your shoulders and takes care of all formalities. A big shoutout to Nafeel who constantly provided us with updates on the status of the seaplane. Upon arrival on the island, your personal butler takes care of all formalities and you are guided to your villa within minutes. The villas are spacious and very well equipped, in particular a Dyson hairdryer, outdoor shower, two sinks, a freestanding bathtub and a giant rainshower within the bathroom. The bed is comfortable and, of course, has ocean view and electric curtains. The patio offers various seating possibilities as does the rooftop. If you are a stargazer you can just lie there, have a drink and watch the stars and the moon go by. Each water villa has direct access to the sea where you can snorkel and discover all sorts of fish (including reef sharks and rays which we could spot as well). The villa was very well maintained and housekeeping did a thorough job in cleaning and refilling twice a day - if only other hotels would take such good care! Everything on the island is in walking distance, but the staff is also happy to take you with a buggy. The dining outlets are excellent and offer a great variety of food. Especially the breakfast buffet has everything you can ask for plus an impressive menu for freshly made egg and other dishes. The staff is attentive, fast and really thorough. The ice cream parlor is another benefit of this ressort. Homemade and tasty. And if you crave good coffee, the Cafe Lounge has what you need. Overall, our stay has been terriffic and relaxing because everything was so well organized. We will certainly visit again.

One thing that one should be mindful of - although it is not a real issue - is that if your villa faces the lagoon (towards the SPA), you will notice jetskis and motorized vehicles from the water sport center on their way to the open sea. On their way they keep of course a safe distance to the villas. However, if you do not want to hear the noise at all, you should arrange for another villa.

The villa was nice, most of the staff were friendly. Shout out to Karen from Glow/Kayto restaurant. She was the most professional, accommodating, respectful and nice! She deserves to be promoted to a butler as she has great communication skills. We do highly recommend her as a butler. Please let her shine. :)

They did not accommodate us regarding changing the options for the half board, it was a simple request and we kept being rejected for unjustified reasons. We informed them about our vegetarian needs, as one of us is a vegetarian, there was no menu! We happened to see lizards in bathrooms and cockroach in Kayto which is a hygienic concern. Plus, we were not informed about the Glow renovation. Not to mention the swimming was full of kids as us as a couple we couldn’t enjoy swimming in the public pool as you need to have a designated one for adults! We got a complain about playing music in our room as we explained to the staff we couldn’t enjoy the public pool so we played our music at the villa and it shouldn’t be an issue as we heard a lot of villas playing music! This was so disturbing and ruined our complete day! Also the curtains in the bedroom does not block sunlight as we couldn’t sleep well. We encourage the property to pay attention to safety as there were no fences around the villa and any one could fall in the sea and also to consider security cameras as we didn’t see them around the villa, also there was no door from the outside of the villa that goes to the private pool hence anyone could enter the private villa which is shocking . We would love also to see a mini market/pharmacy in the property as the island is too far from everything.

One of the most luxurious and client centric experiences we have had, 7 star treatment and facilities and a highly recommended property.

The gym was not clean. I raised complained on day 2, to the girl in the gym and her manager Nina. I pointed out the dust on the floor, window ledges and gym equipment. It was very well cleaned that day. However the 3rd day I used the room where classes and stretching occurs in the gym The floor was VERY dirty and dusty. I was on the floor on a mat... I could see dirt everywhere. I had already said to Nina (manager) the importance to vacuum every day (sand, dirt, dust broughtbin ftom outside) But obviously my advice was not taken on board. For a 5 star facility, it does not meet my expectations. Gym floors needs to be vacuumed EVERY day

It is my first visit to the maldives, just cant say more than my stay at Jumeirah was extraordinary, our host Saajy was very helpful, happy, smiling, willing to give more anytime we asked for something. The time we entered Male airport until the resort and the way back was very comfortable, always someone from Jumeirah resort ready to assist with everything. The villa was so clean, service around the restore was perfect, plenty of activities, and a coffee shop with great sunset view. Will visit again
