I am seeing deterioration in the hotel compared to my last visit in 2024. Got my room a bit late. Room service is abit slow this time.

Die Umgebung und die Natur rund um das Hotel sind absolut bewundernswert und beeindruckend. Zudem waren einige Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und haben uns unkompliziert bei unseren Taobao-Bestellungen geholfen. Ein großes Plus war auch, dass die Getränke und Teebeutel im Zimmer immer zuverlässig aufgefüllt wurden. Ein ganz besonderes Lob geht an die Putzfrau Ma Dongyan – sie ist die liebste Mitarbeiterin des gesamten Hauses, leistet hervorragende Arbeit und sollte für ihren unermüdlichen Einsatz definitiv eine Beförderung erhalten! Auch die optische Sauberkeit der Zimmer war bei der Ankunft in Ordnung.

Dieses Hotel ist meilenweit von einem 5-Sterne-Standard entfernt. Der Aufenthalt war als besondere Überraschung für meine Frau geplant. Im Vorfeld wurde explizit mit dem Hotel vereinbart, dass zur Begrüßung ein Schokokuchen und Blumen bereitgestellt werden. Diese Vereinbarung wurde komplett ignoriert. Erst nach zweitägiger, wiederholter Nachfrage wurde uns lieblos ein winziger, minderwertiger Tiefkühlkuchen vorgesetzt. Die geplante Überraschung wurde dadurch völlig ruiniert.Darüber hinaus ist der Service eine absolute Frechheit. Das Rezeptionsteam ist extrem unorganisiert und spricht – bis auf den Manager – kein Englisch. Der Manager selbst ignoriert internationale Kunden. Das Schlimmste: Meine Frau und ich wurden vom Manager und einer Angestellten ohne jeden Grund wiederholt ausgelacht, wenn wir vorbeigingen. Ein derart respektloses und unprofessionelles Verhalten ist uns noch nie untergekommen. Der Pool entspricht überhaupt nicht den Werbefotos und ist unsauber („abgeranzt“). Die Sport- und Freizeitausstattung ist mangelhaft. Auf die Bitte nach einer Taucherbrille für meine Frau erhielten wir eine beschädigte, viel zu kleine Kindertaucherbrille. Auch nach Reklamation wurde das Problem nicht behoben. Das Buffet bewegt sich auf einem durchschnittlichen 4-Sterne-Niveau und wird dem Anspruch nicht gerecht. Ein verbindlich und rechtzeitig im Voraus bestellter Flughafentransfer wurde vom Hotel einfach nicht bereitgestellt. Dies führte bei unserer Abreise zu erheblichen Verzögerungen, da wir den Transport unter Zeitdruck selbst organisieren mussten. Bestelltes Essen wurde schlichtweg überhaupt nicht auf das Zimmer gebracht. Als wir separat nach Besteck verlangten, dauerte die Lieferung so unerträglich lange, dass das Essen in der Zwischenzeit komplett kalt und ungenießbar wurde. Für ein 5-Sterne-Hotel ist das ein absolut inakzeptabler Service.

В отеле нечего делать, от слова совсем. Завтраки ранние, ужин заканчивается в 21 и все… делать там нечего, от слова совсем. Бассейн- лягушатник, полный детей. Для взрослых там нечего делать, кроме СПА, которое стоит сумасшедших денег. Очень далеко от всех локаций.

This is one of the most unique and beautiful hotels we have ever stayed at. The surrounding scenery is absolutely breathtaking, and spending time here was a truly unforgettable experience. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature, and there are great parks and entertainment areas for children, making it an excellent destination for families. The rooms were spotless, housekeeping was excellent, and the room was cleaned regularly. The staff were always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help with anything we needed. The hotel is located quite far from downtown Shanghai, but that was exactly what we were looking for. We chose it for its beautiful natural surroundings and enjoyed three wonderful days away from the busy city. We would definitely love to come back.

The breakfast was the weakest part of our stay and, unfortunately, the least enjoyable among all the hotels we visited in Shanghai. It is designed almost exclusively for Asian guests, with virtually no European breakfast options available. Considering that this unique hotel welcomes many international visitors, we believe the management should consider offering a wider selection of European and international dishes to better accommodate guests from around the world.

To be fair, the hotel is new. However, the service and the way the staff dealt with us were extremely poor. My reservation was for two King Rooms on a high floor, from 15/07/2026 to 19/07/2026. The incident started as soon as we arrived at the hotel. A front desk employee named Bruce tried to sell me a dinner package, and together with the dinner he offered to upgrade our room for RMB 2,000 for all four nights. When I refused the offer, he persuaded me by saying that he would give me a special discount: I would pay RMB 2,000 for only one night, and he would upgrade my room for the remaining nights. We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 children). Since the hotel did not have any room that could accommodate four guests, I booked two rooms. On 27/06/2026, I sent a message to the hotel requesting that the two rooms be located next to each other, and they replied confirming that they would arrange this. However, after agreeing to the room upgrade, I was informed that there were no adjacent rooms available. Please note that I had already paid the additional RMB 2,000 for the dinner package. When I complained, I was told that one of the benefits of the room upgrade was being on the 13th floor, in the middle section of the building, where the light show could be viewed more clearly. Instead, I was surprised to find that the two upgraded rooms were located at the far corner of the floor, with no clear view at all. When I went back to the front desk and spoke with the front office manager, her response was: “What do you want us to do to make you satisfied?” Is this really an appropriate response from a front office manager? The only positive thing about this hotel is that I requested to shorten my stay from four nights to two nights, and they approved my request.

Больше сказать мне нечего расположен очень далеко от города при бронировании через Букин и полной оплаты, у меня запросили ещё деньги полную оплату и сказали, что типа через Букин вернётся, вот уже третий день показ Букина денег нет находится очень. И за 3 чел заплатила наличкой 2550. Хорошо сто хоть была такая сумма Далеко от центра в Шанхая, такси вызвать невозможно, чтобы уехать оттуда. Вход в ресторан именно платный стоит порядка 800 юаней человека, этот комплексный обед на 2 часа запускают в отдельную комнату, чтобы посмотреть на 3 рыбки, вообще не стоит ни своих денег, ни потраченного времени.2 звезды.

All hotel staff is so great! Especially room service staff Ms Alma Cui. She is so great and helpful! Breakfast is good. There are so many choices and the taste is delicious! Room is clean and comfortable! It is so good for vocation! My husband and I have great time there!

Really phenomenal drone, light and laser show at night. Can be watched from the viewing deck or comfort of balcony. The club lounge could be very busy with no tables but the food was of a good quality and substantial though it ran out often and took a while to replenish. The club king room we booked had a lovely large bed, a big bath and a balcony to view the quarry and show. Good AC. Gym had good equipment but was a little hot.

The hotel is pretty far from anywhere so I would recommend 1 or 2 nights only to watch the shows. The pool, sauna and steam room area was always cluttered with towels and staff were not very helpful. The steam room had to be turned on every time I went and it takes an hour or two to warm up. The bottom floors where the restaurant and underground rooms are does smell of foist and was unpleasant. Our room on floor 12 did not smell however thankfully

Location within the quarry was so unusual and spectacular. The Laser show at night was worth the stay alone. Staff were friendly, polite and efficient

Evening Buffet was ok. Some of the meats on offer were very tough and overcooked. Leisure facilities were very poor for such a spectacular hotel.

Very far from city, but understand as its a “private area”

The hotel has an interesting architecture and is located inside a large hole in the rocks. Unfortunately that is the ONLY feature.

The interior of the room was worn out, poorly designed and not made out of durable materials, overall cheap look and feel not what I would come to expect of Intercontinental. The location is not very interesting, it's in the middle of nowhere and unless you visit TSMC, there is no point in going there.

Uniqueness of the hotel

Indication of wornout property and facilities. Broken bathroom & balcony doors. Front desk/reception not responsive via phone. Check in process not smooth for a 5 star hotel, keys are not working when entering room. Housekeeping not thoroughly cleaning the bed. Hotel staffs not fully aware of the guests request and info, thus always double checking whether guest are allowed to charge services into the room. They provide a baby crib for a 12 year old child. Food quality very limited.

The hotel was a true once in a lifetime experience. Just the location and scenery was amazing. The room was very comfortable, clean and unique. The balcony view, especially for the nighly light show was special. The breakfast was amazing, a huge selection of all sorts of foods. Nicely presented, fresh and tastey. I am very pleased we chose to stay here and highly recommend the hotel.

Отличный вид, карьер реально классный , мы были зимой поэтому немного блекло. Классное световое шоу на скалах, прекрасная русскоговорящая девушка Есения на ресепшн, все подсказала и все объяснила.

1. Стоимость номера около 25.000р за сутки , сказали что бассейном можно пользоваться БЕСПЛАТНО, но при этом им можно пользоваться только в шапочках, нет шапочек - нет бассейна, а шапочки уже ПЛАТНЫЕ 😅 по 400р за штуку. 2. Световое шоу хорошо видно из номеров с балкона и оно начинается в 20.30 соответственно вы либо смотрите световое шоу и не ужинаете так как ресторан до 21.00 либо ужинаете в 19.00 и потом смотрите шоу , но остаетесь голодными на ночь 🌙 3. Я пришёл на завтрак и назвал номер комнаты , я совсем забыл что бронировал номер без завтрака , девушка в ресторане сказала ок, потом смотрела как я набрал еды и сел кушать, после чего подошла и сообщила мне о том что в мой номер завтрак не включён. Пришлось оплачивать ещё 2500 за завтрак. Зачем тогда говорила ОК ? Не понятно. Вообщем ощущения неприятные очень. В этот отель больше не поеду. Не рекомендую. Посему это все ещё не очень удобно, я путешествовал с супругой и тремя детьми, и все эти доп расходы и мелочи всякие мне были несвоевременны.

Ну что сказать... отличный отель, просто нет ни одного пунктика, к чему можно придраться. Бронируя этот отель , вы должны понимать, что он находится на отдалённом расстоянии от самого Шанхая, и будет сложность поесть и что-то купить, поэтому такси вам в помощь.

The lighting in the hotel feels a bit dim, perhaps it could be brightened slightly.

The staff named Bilal was helpful. He went above and beyond his basic task which was to carry our luggage to our room. In addition to showing us our room, he briefly explained how the AI assistant in the room worked and how to find halal food.

Отель расположен в потрясающем месте — вид просто завораживает, особенно вечером во время шоу. Персонал очень дружелюбный и старается помочь, хотя уровень английского у большинства невысокий (что, впрочем, типично для Китая). Завтраки вполне хорошие, но не самые разнообразные.

Есть моменты, которые можно улучшить: Ужин показался средним — цены вполне приемлемые, но блюда могли бы быть вкуснее, хотя за такую стоимость это допустимо. Отель находится довольно далеко от центра Шанхая — поездки на такси занимают много времени и выходят дорого. В спа-комплексе сауны не слишком жаркие — возможно, кому-то это понравится, но лично я предпочитаю температуру повыше. Днем в лобби бывает сложно найти персонал, чтобы заказать кофе.

The hotel is a real wonderland it is built on the most beautiful quarry with amazing waterfall. The rooms are as gorgeous and the staff is the best and willing to help at all times

Nothing really

I loved everything about this unique hotel. The reception had the most amazing staff – they spoke excellent English, were incredibly welcoming, and made me feel at home right away. The building itself is breathtaking, it’s almost unbelievable to imagine how it was constructed inside a former quarry. The coffee bar was a true highlight – I could even order a coffee with my own logo on it, without any hesitation. The show at the hotel was spectacular; even though it was in Chinese, it didn’t take away from the wow effect at all.

Honestly, there was nothing I didn’t like. Everything worked perfectly, and the experience exceeded my expectations.

Special thanks to Denis, who manages the breakfast and dinner buffet, for making our dining experience so much more enjoyable.
