It made a change not to be staying “miles” in the sky as this is a low level hotel, with quite a spread footprint - quite surprising for China and especially the outskirts of Shanghai. Very surreal place when we were there because we thought we were only in a handful of guests - breakfast dispelled that. Dinner in the Bar and Breakfast were both good. Room was very nice more like a suite - so it took a little longer to do a departure sweep, despite only being there one night :-)

Only a little gripe, signage to rooms could have been better - I have a good sense of direction but still got lost through the maze of corridors back to the room.

Die Lage am Relictpark ist sehr schön und auch das Frühstück war ganz gut. Ein grosses Hotel mit vielen Möglichkeiten.

Einer meiner Vorgänger oder Vorgängerinnen hat im Zimmer geraucht weshalb es unangenehm gestunken hat. Das war unangenehm. Auch hatte die Bar Frühstück geschlossen, womit man hier draussen dann keine Möglichkeiten mehr hätte, etwas zu trinken.

U got to know that this hotel is far far away from Shanghai downtown. Also in some how the hotel is isolated, so u need a taxi if u want to buy a grocery. The internet is poor.

Immaculate. Staff were fantastic and helpful in so many aspects. Restaurant was also great.

Top Frühstücksbuffet, alles was das Herz begehrt. Internationale Klasse!!

Die Kommunikation mit dem Personal (Rezeption etc.) gestaltet sich nach wie vor schwierig, da diese nur sehr schlecht englisch sprechen. Hier sollte man etwas nachbessern.

Очень красивый отель, в очень живописном месте. Территория отеля и вокруг нее очень красивая. Номер чистый, все на высшем уровне. Еще нам понравилась фишка с круглой ванной, где можно открыть в зону спальни, выдвинуть телевизор и наслаждаться просмотром фильма с ванны. Шведский стол на завтрак обед и ужин просто шикарен. Особенно нам понравился ужин.

Единственный минус это далековато от центра Шанхая. От метро тоже далековато. Но сюда едут скорее всего отдохнуть городской суеты. Ну и рядом тут есть несколько интересных локаций. Аквапарк, Парк развлечений, ботанический сад и я бы еще выделил гоночную трассу где можно покататься на картах и посмотреть на гонщиков.

Breakfast was beyond perfect. Asian and European cuisine. By far the largest assortiment i have seen ever.

Mini bar was not available, which is strange , having in mind that the hotel is a 5star one.

Ok. So where do we begin. This is one of the nicest hotels anywhere (it does have a lot of awards) but then the A/C on the room does not work... After calling every four hours they send somebody who pretends to do something and you are back to begging for a colder weather so you don't have to sleep on whatever ambient temperature the city decides to throw at you. So my question is: Why invest in one of the best hotels in the world only to save some bucks on the A/C? Seriously?

The location of the hotel is in a very prominent area if you are looking to visit the Guangfulin area. The hotel has a private access to the Guangfulin Relics Park. Also, the hotel has a nice area for outdoor activities, as well as kids play area which my child really enjoyed. The hotel staffs were really cordial and had english speaking staff. You can easily take a small trip of one or two day if you are visiting Shanghai to get more authentic Chinese heritage feel by visiting the Guangfulin Relics.

Given the hotel is very spacious and is three storey building, the access to lifts is difficult. Therefore, I would suggest if you can ask the hotel staffs to give you rooms closer to the lifts for easier access to the lobby, pool area, and breakfast restaurant.

Restaurant was overcrowded and in choas during breakfast time. Too many walk ins for breakfast buffet. They even dare to add a table right next to us where we cannot walk out unless we ask the person to stand up and step out of their seats. This is unacceptable for serving buffet ! As for a la carte lunch, it took them one hour to serve a Hainanese chicken rice and a bowl of wonton.

Location is good .

For a 3.000 RMB/night hotel we would expect much better breakfast and trained staff.
