Hotel Yaxactun

El hotel esta super bien ubicado, muy cerca del malecón de Progreso. La habitación muy amplia con refri, caja buen aire acondicionado y todo muy nuevo! La piscina super refrescante y limpia y casi siempre toda para nosotros! Repetiré en mi regreso a Progreso.

Es verdad que hay transito de camiones por la calle pero es solo de día, si eres muy sensible viaja con tapones y ya

The hotel was good to be a 3 star hotel, met your needs. The reception people were amazing. Just nobody was at the pool, as it was dirty.

La limpieza y atención del personal, la amabilidad con que atendían y las facilidades de trato ante cualquier cuestión

El tamaño de la habitación era bastante diminuto para tres personas y dos camas

El hotel es cómodo y la ubicación está bien. Sólo le batallamos mucho con la regadera. Pero nada que afectará nuestra estancia, el personal muy amable y la piscina muy bien, si regresaría.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was super close to the beach. Bed was big and roomy! Plenty of space in the room for luggage, etc.

The doors are not well insulated which meant we could hear the noise in the hallway as well as the heavy road traffic (road works nearby, so lots of big trucks passing by). The price for the room was good, so we didn't worry too much as it was a short stay!

We were able to check in a few min earlier. Only critic is water runs out had to call 2 times to fill tanks , also no warm water in morning had to call to be fixed. Amenties are given upon request at certain time. Cannot be given at other times that cleaning crew not present as they keep it locked "supposedly". The hotel is 3 blocks away from beach front but very far from city center and bus station . They need to be mindful of how many people are reserving room to leave that many towels and amenties, so we dont have to be asking for extras. Also so many controles for tv, air, and fan.

Excellent beds and pillows. Nice shower. Loved the tile decor.

Other guests need to close their door quietly. Why do people let doors slam behind them? Hold the handle and close it yourself so that it doesn’t bang. Especially if you’re leaving at 6am.

Clean and comfortable. I really like having a coffee maker in the room.

Muy cómodo y adecuando. Habitación muy limpia y con todos los servicios en general. No cuenta con estacionamiento propio pero la ubicación tiene opciones cercanas. Tampoco cuenta con restaurante pero tienes a 2 cuadras muchas opciones de “shopping” incluyendo restaurantes y por supuesto EL MAR…!!! Disfrútalo !!!

It's quite clean and tidy.

The room is VERY small. Two beds and a desk basically take up the entire room space and there's no extra room left. Moreover, the accessible facility is terrible. You need to climb two separate stairs In order to get access to your room. As I injured my leg and relied on wheelchair, it's so hard live here.

Many trucks at all hours in transit, rooms overlooking the street is very noisy, it is understood that it is not in the hands of the property, consider if the noise bothers you, this is not an option.

It’s a highway of big transport trucks on one side of the hotel. We were fortunate to be on the other side. Location is very walkable to the beach and boardwalk

Truck traffic although I believe it is temporary. Get a room facing the pool and you will be fine. Otherwise very nice place. Needs to have beach chairs to use or rent to go to the beach.

Great refurbished hotel a couple blocks away from el Malecón. Wonderful staff, clean and comfortable. The only issue was the street noise from the large cargo trucks that driver through town all night to get to the Port. Next time, we’ll try to book a room away from the street.

Thank you so much! My originally booked hotel turned out not so well, so I went to Hotel Yaxactun. The receptionist was so friendly. The location is great, just 2 streets down from the beach. I actually prolonged my stay as I liked it so much. Kudos to the receptionist who always answered my questions and was really competent. She actually also handed me a bilingual brochure about Yucatán.

Tiny little suggestion: A hose at the entrance so guests can wash down the sand from their feet and flip flops. But that would be on top.

The hotel is located close to the beach.

Even though at the first glance it looks clean, the room is worn out. The towels, once white, are kind of gray. The smell in the bathroom from the sewage is unbearable. There are literally every 2 minutes trucks (very heavy ones) passing in front of the hotel. Sometimes are 3 at the time! Even in the weekend or in the night they don't stop! So if you sleep light, bring your earplugs! It's impossible to sleep otherwise. The water in the pool is dirty. For this price at least they should provide breakfast. It's expensive for no reason. For the bottle of water, that is complementary, I had to ask, they didn't left it in the room. The second minute I arrived, I was asked about the gentleman in the reception to pay, like I was going to run away! Terrible, terrible!

This hotel was beautiful and the customer service was top notch! The reception gave great recommendations and was very accommodating, her name is Alondra! She made our stay extra special. Close enough to walk to everything but distant enough to be unbothered. Will definitely stay again.

I've stayed @ Yaxactun several times & I like the clean feel of the decor & the amenities.

Room # 5 was extremely noisy as the balcony was facing the main intersection & connecting road with constant heavy trucks rolling passed. Every 5 minutes all through the night & early morning hours. Some of the truck drivers even waved hello to me through the balcony window!! I won't ever book room #5 ever again & without earplugs you wouldn't be able to sleep due to excessive traffic noise.

La habitación y el servicio muy bien, pero justo a lado del hotel pasan todo el tiempo (día y noche) camiones pesados por lo cual siempre hay mucho ruido y por ello cuesta mucho trabajo dormir bien. Eso en lo respecta a la habitación que nos tocó, no se si sea lo mismo en todas

Excelentes instalaciones, el hotel en general es muy bonito y tiene amenidades bastante útiles y, a mi parecer, necesarias como lo es frigobar y secadora para cabello. En cuanto al personal, es muy amable y accesible. Una gran ventaja es la cercanía con el malecón, que está a un par de cuadras, donde encuentras todo tipo de restaurantes y artesanías

Convinent location near the beach, 2nd time staying at this property wanted to give it benefit of the doubt. Got to location and thier was a electricity outage. Per staff had just occurred , per neighbors and CFE whole town was told a day before that electricity would be restored next day by 3pm. Property owners did not bother to call me to notify me of problem and surprisngly being a buisness hotel they dont have a generator. So had to sit in room in hot humid weather for 50 minutes , power was restored at 250 pm. Other than this mishap, staff is welcoming and attentive. The room I got this time facing city view was more spacious then the one I got last year. Pool looked cloudy and unkept. AC was working amazing afterwards. They had a restaurant but no in service now. They have bikes for rent.

Nos hospedamos con mi familia, desde la recepción un trato super amable, muy bonito y limpio en la habitación y área de piscina y lo mejor super cerca del malecón de Progreso.

El hotel es precioso, con todo lo necesario para una estancia tranquila y agradable. Las habitaciones cuentan con cafetera, frigobar, secadora, etc. El diseño es muy bonito y la actitud del personal hace que la estancia sea mucho mejor.

This little hotel is really cute with a lovely pool in the courtyard and very clean, nicely renovated rooms. The staff at the front desk were amazing, so obliging and accommodating. They even helped us order pizza one night when it was pouring rain and the restaurants on the malecón were all closing. The only downside is that there is noise from the traffic on the road but we were so tired after spending a wonderful day at the beach that we slept through it anyhow! We will definitely return to this charming little hotel.

Great staff!! Very friendly and helpful they gave us all their attention and were very thorough about the amenities. The Hotel was very presentable. The rooms are not big but comfortable and clean with a nice balcony.

Compared to other surrounding hotels . I was pleased with this one and would stay there again.

The location was awesome, it was only 100 mts from the beach, and the staff was very polite. The hotel was comfortable and the pool was clean.

It was a terrible and persistent problem with the Internet connection, the staff told me that it was an unfortunate problem they couldn't solve, but luckily near our room, I could reach a free connection with the government network CFE Internet. Also, the room doesn´t have TV channels available.

Simple but clean and with very nice staff. People very helpful on giving directions and suggestions. Room a bit small but comfortable, with frigobar, air fan .. locker and comfortable. 2 blocks from the beach but areas around a bit odd. But is pretty much the same way of the full neighborhood. I would go back with no problem

Muy buena opción para hospedarte en progreso, se encuentra a una cuadra del museo del meteorito y a dos cuadras de la playa, cerca tiene un Oxxo y varios restaurantes.

Bastante bien, pero no lo recomendaría si quieren privacidad, todo se escucha de recepción, de afuera, de los demás cuartos, hasta los ronquidos de la persona de arriba, la secadora por la mañana, limpieza de piscina, todo se escucha, no dudo que sea lo mismo de adentro hacia afuera. Por demás, cómodo y ameno, a 3 cuadras del malecón.

Very nice hotel. We stayed in the business room so lots of outlets which I was happy about. Pool was nice and refreshing. Bed was comfortable but a bit firm. Pillows were nice. Very attractive hotel only two blocks from the beach. Hallways are loud since everything echos. Overall a lovely place to stay and would stay here again.

This is a proper quality hotel with quality furniture & block out curtains Great amenities, pool & service. It also has that special personal touch with a vase of flowers (although plastic), coffee machine & cups...we'll definitely book again. Fabulous.

I had book two rooms. Check in was actually good. When it came to communications the front desk rep, pretty much ignored me because i did not speak Spanish, although i was using Google translate. She would only communicate with my girlfriend. I tried asking questions about the bar that we believed to on property, the desk rep tried sending us as families with kids, to adult bar down the street. This became frustrating as mentioned above, after letting the hotel rep know sevetal times we had children and could not take them to a adult show, and being late at night. There is no on property bars as specifies in Expedia hotel amenities. Therefore we could not enjoy some late evening cocktails. The hotel specifics need to be updated.

Nice hotel, excellent location, friendly staff some of which spoke English. Very close to the beach (a couple of blocks) but just far away to be completely quiet. Excellent rooftop bar/restaurant on the beach that you can see from the front of the hotel. Small clean pool area for rinsing off salt after the beach with towels nearby.

Our only small quibble was the room was quite small. Still, for the cost, the value was very good.
