Le falta mucho mantenimiento a las instalaciones de habitaciones, las camas no eran cómodas y el hotel no cuenta con facilidades de información turística, el restaurante ya no está en funcionamiento. En la habitación el baño expide olores, la televisión es muy pequeña y no hay dónde poner tus cosas como percheros en el baño o repisas.

The description is misleading. Only stay here if you are a backpacker! The pool had not been cleaned, the property needed some attention. Out toilet wouldn’t fill properly, and we were moved because the shower didn’t work in first room!

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026The property itself is gorgeous, featuring a stunning Spanish colonial style, and the room was beautiful and clean. The highlight for us was the balcony; there is a building directly in front that blocks a full view, but we could still see a nice slice of the beach waterline.
That being said, we felt the stay was quite expensive, especially compared to the amazing value you typically get in Mérida. If you are looking in this area, you can find way more beautiful hotels with significantly more amenities and better price points in the towns right next to Progreso. It’s a lovely hotel, but a bit overpriced for what it offers.

Esta a unas 3 cuadras o 5 minutos caminando del acceso a la playa. Es necesario tener vehículo o taxi si uno quiere salir en la noche e ir al centro de Progreso.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026El Hotel es una casa antigua, muy bonita la construcción, con cuartos cómodos, buen aire acondicionado. Tiene una alberca pequeña pero muy agradable estar en su jardín o en su terraza.
Aún cuando el Hotel anuncia desayuno, cuando llegamos nos dijeron que como es temporada baja no tenían abierto el restaurante, lo cual es pésimo, por qué el hotel se anuncia con desayunos. El cuarto muy cómodo como comenté, pero un aroma a caño continuo. Todas las noches a partir de las 20:00 suspenden el internet (así lo creo) porque ya no se podía ver la TV, decían que lo arreglaban, pero seguía sin verse y por casualidad a partir de las 8:00 funcionaba muy bien de nuevo hasta la noche, esto fue las 3 noches de hospedaje. Aún cuando tienen un letrero de que hay que avisar que limpien el cuarto (el cual no vimos pero está visible, esto lo acepto), no entiendo que un hotel, o al menos es el primero que veo esta política, no limpie y arregle el cuarto sin ser solicitado, es una servicio que creo debe dar el hotel, no es un airbnb. En relación a una estancia anterior, ahora muy deficiente el servicio, quizá cambió la administración.

La foto que muestran no es muy real, es un hotel viejo. El baño olía muy mal, olía a drenaje. La chapa de la puerta principal no servía bien. El frigobar hacía mucho ruido y lo desconecté y se hizo un charco enorme en la recámara.

The place was run by ameteurs. The plumbing was unstable, the sheets were skimpy, we had to ask for a blanket. There wasn’t regular housekeeping unless requested, so no replacing water, or fresh towels, etc. we left a night early, we couldn’t stand it.

Me tocó una noche en la planta de abajo, junto a recepción y la limpieza no estuvo a tiempo para check in, mi familia y yo tuvimos que esperar más tiempo de lo normal para poder tener la habitación lista y poder instalarnos.

El personal de la fuente es muy amable y educado pero un poco distraído, la lejanía a la playa ya que si quieres estar en el malecón debes caminar unas calles ya que las casas de enfrente tienen playa privada. Las instalaciones son muy limpias y el personal es amable, tiene frigo en la habitación.

Reviewed Apr 7, 2026Que sea una bellísima casa antigua bien conservada. Es un lugar muy tranquilo, amplio y limpio!! La zona es segura y está a un par de cuadras del malecón turístico y playa a una cuadra. La habitación es muy amplia e iluminada y se agradece que tenga un pequeño refrigerador!!
Mmmm pues todo nos gustó, una anécdota es que compramos un refresco de envase de vidrio y no tuvieran un simple destapador.. fuera de eso, todo genial !!

We were in#9 second floor. The toilet kept running a number of times and the bathroom did get stinky as the night went on but we closed the door and that remedied the problem.

Reviewed Mar 5, 2026This beautiful old mansion has been converted to a 12 room hotel. Our room was very spacious and there is a beautiful courtyard with a pool and bistro bar. Breakfast is not included, but you could order breakfast, which was delicious. The location is very good for walking to the Melacon or to get to public beaches in the lanes between oceanfront properties. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating, however, many of the staff do not speak English.
There are no small coffee machines in the rooms and the charge for picking up a Nespresso coffee in the lobby was the same as a restaurant. The faucet in the bathroom sink was very wobbly as it was completely unsecured!

Reviewed Mar 4, 2026Everything! It’s away from the downtown area and a lot quieter! The staff are very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The pool was very nice. It was only 50 pesos for a taxi into town.
It was a bit further to walk to the ocean than I thought. Make sure you take everything you need as it’s three to four blocks to the swimmable ocean area.

Draps tachés et pas de coussins de chaises à la piscine (chaises dures, autant les chaises longues que les chaises ordinaires). On aurait aimé avoir des indications ou un plan précédant notre arrivée pour retrouver l'entrée de l'établissement, car l'adresse est difficile à trouver et il y a beaucoup de traffic dans ce coin.

Not alot of water pressure in the shower. It was windy and the doors were making some noise all the time would be good to put some rubbers or something so they don't slam while closed.
