Location is right beach front.

The pool is too hot despite weather being 95+ No breakfast service at restaurant. I wish they would open for at least American style. But I refer a simple Mexican traditional kitchen breakfast.

Close proximity to the beach and restaurants decent amenities.

Our friends will put in nicer rooms and paid quite a bit less than us for our room. Not sure where that came from.

Absolutely love the size of my room, it was clean and beautifully decorated.

Had problems with communication at the front desk. Didn’t realize I had to pass my keys in to get my room clean, so it wasn’t cleaned. It was only cleaned once.

Right on the beach, pool temp. Perfect, ac worked excellent, spacious, we rented 5 separate rooms for our familia and us. We definitely will be coming back in the future. Gracias!

The property is a little finished, the rooms need more attention, one thing I didn't like is that the bathroom is inside the room and there is no privacy at all, we found the counter dirty, one thing to make orange juice was super dirty,

We had high hopes of enjoying the advertised beach access included in the price. Unfortunately, we were kicked off the beach during the holiday because it was reserved for private parties unless we wanted to pay extra per person for access. The hotel staff were abrupt and unfriendly, and there were extra fees for everything, making the stay feel more like a money grab. It was misleading to advertise beach access only to take it away or pay extra. Overall, I was not satisfied and would not recommend this hotel for genuine beach access during holidays. Save your money and choose a place that honors its commitments to guests.

The staff were amazing.

We were "upgraded" to a bungalow but really would have preferred a suite. We want to get the room we book next time and not be changed.

We enjoyed everything about the property. Everyone was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Close to other amenities like shops and restaurants. Only 100 steps from our room by the pool to the beautiful beach.

The room we had only had one window, more like a concrete bunker. It was clean, comfortable, and a great location for a short period of time.

Great location and cleanliness

The rooms are very basic. Beds were comfortable but no comfie seating. All wooden chairs in kitchen and one folding lawn chair on the balcony. If you want drinking water it will cost you 55 pesos for a 5 gallon bottle. No beach towels so bring your own. Housekeeping by request only. Had to sign for the TV remotes as well as air conditioner remotes and handed 4 bath towels at check in that had to be returned upon check out (along with remotes and key). The staff at front desk were very nice, Sylvia speaks excellent English. The restaurant/bar staff were great, they bust their butts every day serving great food and drinks. Lucy and Luka were amazing.

Las Hamacas was perfect for our first trip to Melaque! The location is hard to beat and the view from our room was breath-taking. We found our room to be clean, well-stocked, with a very well-stocked kitchen. I will say, as others have also noted, there is live music at the restaurant from 2 - 4pm Mon - Wed, at least the week we were there. The place is hopping and the band is great. But do know the sound is all-encompassing if you have a beach-facing room. The Las Hamacas staff were super-friendly, quick to respond and helpful in suggesting alternative ways to the airport, thank you staff!

The location is great, right across from the beach in the center of town.

1) First we were shown to a dismal room that looked nothing like the one we saw on Booking.com. My husband complained so we were shown another room. (Oddly, the booking said said we got the only room left.) 2) The wifi was abysmal. We were told we could go across the street by the pool at their other hotel, but the wifi there was bad too. My husband and I both had work to do, so we had to wander to different restaurants in search of good wifi. Another hotel we have booked nearby earlier had great wifi, so I know it's available in Melaque. 3) We were unhappy when they said it was 55 pesos. Although that's a small amount, other hotels have free water. The tap water in Mexico is undrinkable, so hotels should never charge for good water. 4) There was a kitchenette, but no microwave. A microwave is essential these days.

Beautiful location. We had two rooms, one with Kitchen. We liked having two room.

The walls could have used some new paint. A/C worked only OK. The bathroom was small.

Parking was convenient and secure. Staff was very nice. Location was good in Melaque. AC worked great and kept noise from City from affecting our sleep. Pool and paintings in the common areas are lovely.

The stay was really nice. But with a room right beside the Pool, it does get noisy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Location was fantastic. Short walk from bus depot, shops, banks, and restaurants. They have music at the restaurant there some afternoons. Lovely to sit at the tables on the beach. Very basic hotel. Did not get the room we booked (which they blamed Expedia for, but later admitted was their error) so were shown alternatives - two of the rooms did not have windows in the bedrooms! cement cells! So were given another room, which we had to move from after a few days. Very little kitchen equipment - plastic dishes, one very dull knife, very bent and scratched frying pan. They brought us a toaster and drying rack when asked (no towel bar in bathroom). Had to buy water to drink. Very little lighting, only a light in the ceiling fans in bedroom and kitchen area, so it was very dark trying to prepare food, and there were no lights by the beds so impossible to read. The beds were a bit firm but comfortable. The hotel could use some cleaning and painting. All chairs and seating benches were wood or cement in both the rooms and common areas, with very flimsy vinyl cushions, so the only comfortable place to sit was on a bed with no headboard. The only hot water was in the shower, which took about 20 mins to heat up. None in kitchen or bathroom sinks. Sylvia, the manager, was very nice and helpful. She was the only staff member who spoke English. Quite quiet for the most part. Pool and outdoor areas shut down at 9:00. Gates to street and beach closed at 10:00 so felt safe.

No breakfast available here but place right across the street was excellent

I would have liked more natural light in the suite however this wasn’t a deal breaker! The common gathering area was directly below the suite so could be quite noisy in the morning! Lots of children here so if that’s an issue for people stear clear but isn’t for us!

A few steps to the beach

I made a reservation for queen beds and got full beds. Bad for a couple to sleep in. The air conditioning is weak, doesn’t get too cold even if I put it to the lowest. At midnight they were watering the pool area next to my room and wouldn’t let my family and I sleep. There WIFI never worked.

Super location, friendly folks, heated pool and now an additional new pool across the street by new bungalows.

Everything at this hotel was great except allowing 17-20 loud, noisy, disrespectful people in the pool/hot tub pool til 9:00pm on 2 nights of our stay. As this hotel is located on 2 sides of the main street the guests should be required to use the pools on the side where their unit is located. Apart from that...all is very good.

It's close to the beach.

This hotel didn't do the one i reserve the room... I ask for the connecting room because we are 8 people and also we ask that we can get the family room with another little beed on the side but yet we arrive with 2 double bed and we have to pay the folding bed . Before we arrived we called them to confirm our 2 rooms and they told us everything is perfect but nope everything is disappointed! And it's expensive... next time we won't gonna be staying at this hotel ...I found the best hotel only 1 block and it's cheap , there's an a/c and it's a new hotel. And their bed smells like mildew.

Food was delicious, great location on the beach.

I will probably never return, my son spilled orange soda on the sheets. The owner insisted that someone had an accident, although the stain was bright orange and smelled sweet. We had to pay $85 US dollars for the sheets.

i thought some reviews were fake but the reviews were accurate this place is clean comfortable n friendly .. food at restaurant was pretty good n service was also good i liked the location too. i would definitely go back to relax . my stay was druing off season so not everything was open but still a good place to stay

The location is excellent. It is in walking distance to downtown and a few steps away from the beach. Staff is friendly and helpful. Guest can easily communicate with staff via WhatsApp, which is extremely convenient. Overall its was a great stay and will continue booking with them.

The only minor thing was that the trash cans in the bathroom and bedroom are too small. But if you ask for housekeeping they will gladly assist you.

Everything was great

It’s an older hotel but the room was very clean and well equipped in kitchen. Pool was too hot for swimming but the beach is right behind. Staff were excellent and accommodating. There is a restaurant right behind the building on the ocean, good food and you get a discount as a guest. Lots of restaurants, shops and bus within walking distance. We would stay again.

Check in was great, and reception was very accommodating. Room was clean. Water was hot.

We were to get 10% off in restaurant with wrist bands. We paid the bill, but afterwards realized we didn’t get the discount. When asked at the restaurant, we were told, it’s too late. The rates posted on the wall at check in was quite a bit less than what we paid through Booking.com.

We were travelling and only at the hotel for one night but it was great - the front desk manager was fabulous.

The only thing I would have liked is coffee in the morning.

Was disappointed with how Expedia said it was a one bed room and I wasn’t able to cancel I was charged to much for something that wasn’t what it said it was.

The property was great it was , perfect location a few steps to the beautiful white sandy beach and restaurants. The area was quite quiet which made for a great sleep.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like and have recommended to our friends to stay at this Hotel when they visit Melaque.

Sylvia went over & beyound to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The remaing staff at the front desk & the service staff were amazing. Love the pool & the closeness to the beach. The restaurant was good too. Highly recommend this hotel.

There was a problem with no hot water the last couple days, but it was so warm it was not a big problem. There was a heated pool right outside so that was like a giant bathtub.

It would be helpful to have more areas to sit on outside, like loungers or small comfortable, soft outdoor furniture as it was limited.

We were very happy with the friendly staff who lent us a microwave, a toaster, and a hairdryer for the duration of our two week stay, and cleaned our room with fresh towels and sheets. We would have appreciated a bedside lamp, since the room was rather dark, with the drapes drawn on the window, which faced the street, and only a single overhead light. Only one overhead light in the kitchen, also. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, frying pans, pots, and cutlery. All in all, we were very pleased!

the room was very comfortable as was the bed. there was no breakfast available. the swimming pool was lovely.

the dining food was over by 5:30 pm. a bit early for us. the construction, but we were well aware of it, and where offered an alternative room. we chose to remain in our first room.

Could really use a microwave and coffee maker in the kitchen. Also surprised there was no soap provided in the bathroom. And we were not allowed to take towels to the beach. The kitchen is not well equipped.

This was a really great stay for the cost! Room was clean and spacious. Staff was extremely welcoming. Free parking was a plus. And the pool was nice to have! Our only real complaint was that the wifi didn’t work (or maybe didn’t reach our room?) so it was impossible to work at all. Just something worth knowing if you work remotely.
