Good place. Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff
Red Feather Lodge is super convenient for visiting the Grand Canyon. Service was great - front desk was great about switching rooms when I asked for a quieter spot that was not facing the main roadway. The rooms are quite expensive considering they are fairly dated.
Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Exceeded expectations for a place to sleep near the Grand Canyon National Park.
We were in the motel part of the Lodge (older, cheaper area). It was clean and conveniently located. Fine for sleeping when visiting the Grand Canyon, but wouldn't want to spend much time in the room.
Friendly staff & clean pool and rooms!
The facilities are very well-kept. While my kids described it as "old", because they are used to new and modern, I appreciated how clean everything was. You can tell they take pride in their establishment. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
We wanted to do an impromptu winter grand canyon trip, wasn’t sure where to stay but knew we needed a place we could take our dog with us. Called and was able to get a dog friendly room same day. Booking was easy, checking in was seamless. My boyfriend and I loved the 24 hour coffee bar and the dog loved the free treats from the lobby. They also have a fitness room which is what I needed after a long car ride. The pool area looks nice, will have to come back during spring/summer to enjoy it! The staff was super kind and willing to do almost anything to make our trip comfortable. The rooms are super clean and fresh, the dove soap in the bathroom was a nice touch too as hotels usually have lotion/soap that my skin hates. The heater is definitely what we needed on this cold night. We will definitely be back!
Stayed in the hotel section of the lodge. Was clean, well-maintained, quiet (although it was a weekday in winter, so could be more noisy in the busy season). Desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. No breakfast offered. Can walk to most of the restaurants in Tusayan. Good value for the money.
This place is a dump and I paid almost $200 for what I thought was going to be a nice place. Noisy Dirty, run down. So much bad I couldn't list everything.
there was two couples we stayed at the red feather Inn in September after reading reviews of hotels in the park we decided to get the red feather try and glad we did. The rooms were spotless. The staff was helpful and friendly. We had dinner in the park and spent most of the time in the park and just came out for the night and had reservations for breakfast also at El Tavor which was a great experience and well worth it
Great hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff, and great atmosphere. We stayed here on our way to the Grand Canyon and it is right outside of the park. The front desk staff even gave us great sunrise locations to hit while at the park. I would definitely stay here again!
A great lodging alternative to staying inside Grand Canyon National Park on the South Rim. We stayed at Red Feather in August 2025 as part of the photography workshop I was attending. It was very comfortable, modern, reasonably priced, and had a Starbucks and a great Mexican restaurant nearby. While not located right on the rim we really didn’t feel like we gave up much in convenience. We had no problem driving to the visitors center or Bright Angel Lodge (both about 8 miles away) to catch most of the rim shuttles, and there was a readily available shuttle running all day from town to the rim. It was especially easy driving from Tusayan to the eastern viewpoints on Desert View Drive. Consider Red Feather as a viable alternative to staying on the rim.
Nice hotel complex, spacious and clean room, fireplace in the lobby. If breakfast is included in your tour, enjoy it, better than most! Good restaurant on site and others nearby.
We've stayed here multiple times while visiting the park, most recently this week. Pleasant stay at a great location for Grand Canyon National Park. Our room was clean and a good size, with a bathroom where everything worked-including the hot water-and was a good size also. Clean, quiet, convenient and easy parking-and nice and helpful staff! So good room minutes from the entrance to GCNP; strong recommend.
Every time I visit the Grand Canyon, which has been numerous times, my husband & i stay at the Red Feather Lodge. We have never been disappointed, which is why we come back. We stayed there recently, on Wednesday, August 6th. This review is on the young man, Marion, who checked us in at the front desk. KUDOS to him for the EXCELLENT customer service he gave me. If I could give him more than 5 stars, I definitely would. Many more!! I'm a stickler when it comes to customer service, especially nowadays when you don't find it much anymore. Not the case with Marion. I had 3 front desk people to choose from & I truly believe the universe pointed me to him. He greeted me with a smile, a "how are you doing today" & i could see & hear his genuine caring for me "the guest". Since they weren't busy at the time, we were able to have a very nice conversation. Considering that he was a lot younger than me, I'd say maybe early 20's & I'm 71, i enjoyed the fact that yes, two generations so far apart could have an interesting talk like we did. One thing led to another & he told me that he was Navajo. I asked him questions & it was a delight to hear about his culture & the fact that he started learning early in life what's important & what's not. Lots of young people don't feel that way. I told him that no matter what, never, ever forget where his roots are planted. No matter what people may say to him to always hold true to his culture's ways. Nowadays, in a world where some parents do not teach their children the "right" way to be, it's a blessing to hear about Marion's life. I hope the powers to be at the Lodge appreciate the fact that I, a returning guest, enjoyed my experience with Marion as the one who checked me in. Please let him know about this review. I'm sure it will warm his heart & make him feel great. Sometimes companies neglect to tell their employees about reviews. :( If you choose employee of the month, at the Lodge, I vote for Marion. :) Also, last but not least, I loved our clean room & the smiles from the housekeeping & maintenance people we came across. Keep up the great job you are all doing. I totally appreciate each and everyone of you. We shall return. Have a wonderful day. :)
Great clean room located close to the Grand Canyon. Deluxe room had fridge, coffee and microwave. Lobby had 24 hour coffee and tea available. Staff was very friendly and professional. Would stay again for sure.
Red Feather Lodge is a great place for staying while visiting the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. It takes less than 15 minutes to drive to the Visitor Center to catch the shuttle buses, which is very convenient for watching sunrise and sunset. I stayed in the lodge, very friendly and helpful staff at the reception, the room was spacious, very clean and quiet, comfy beds and pillows with great Wi-Fi service. Complimentary tea/coffee in the lobby, and there were plenty of parking space. There were also many restaurants nearby. Rates were very reasonable considering how close they are to the Grand Canyon National Park. I would highly recommend Red Feather Lodge to anyone traveling to see the Grand Canyon!
Clean; professional staff and great price.
Perfect for us and our little dog. clean and comfortable. nice staff.
Did not realize until I got home that I was charged $20 for an “additional person”. I reserved 2 rooms with 2 adults in each. We actually had 2 adults for one room and one adult in the next due to one not coming with us. Why the additional $20? Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay
Pets were welcome stayed in older part of hotel not as nice as the rest
Friendly staff and clean rooms
It is an old, not particularly clean place. Most of all, the staffs are here very unfriendly.
Breakfast would be nice to add, especially for the high price
close to the park
Great location. Staff super friendly and offered great advice about when be at the Grand Canyon for sunrise. We arrived late (9pm) and had to park very far away
Location was great. Just outside the park and you could walk to another business in town
Would stay here again.
Front desk staff was outstanding. Helpful, knowledgeable, good recommendations. What an absolute pleasure.
Room comfortable, very comfortable beds with good block out curtains so it was dark. My son used the ice machine a lot! SEcond night there was a family with 1 or 2 young children who cried a lot and were very noisy. They did not wake us up overnight but we could hear all the noise from about 8-10pm through the walls. Also put water bottles in our fridge which didn't get cold so don't know if fridge was not turned on and we had to do that or if it was not working.
Very Good & Comfy
Yes laundry ok
Clean room
Friendly staff, clean room. My go to spot before hiking The Canyon!
Beautiful property! They had 4 washer/dryers. Super comfortable beds and pillows!
A little pricey, but nice clean motel, nice staff.
Everything was absolutely lovely… Very clean and updated rooms… Couldn’t ask for more
Friendly staff, clean rooms
A welcoming clean and quiet renovated hotel with generous size rooms
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Dog walking area was inconvenient and an afterthought.
Clean, convenient place just outside Grand Canyon National Park. Nice outdoor pool and small jacuzzi. For over $200 per night, it would have been nice to include a “free” breakfast.
Plenty of hotel parking space. Rooms are comfortable for 4 adults sleep comfortably! ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE ROOM ON SECOND FLOOR!!! Hotel still needs to fix the flooring noise coming from 2nd floor!
Clean room nicely appointed and equipped. We used the hot tub out front and lobby coffee. No breakfast is included but fridge was larger than most and microwave, kurig were in room. Walkable to IMAX theatre and restaurants. Safe area.
I was travelling with a disabled family member, but our reservation did not note that. No problem! The kind staff did some juggling and got my brother a great room nearcthe lobby with us next door. Bravo!
Clean
Close to Grand Canyon.
Very conveniently located to grand canyon. A variety of food options.
Good size room. Clean and quite. Bonus, the magnifying mirror in the bathroom! Loved it.
Great location for Grand Canyon National Park as it is only a few minutes drive away. Complimentary tea/coffee. Friendly and helpful staff on reception. Comfy beds and hot shower and plenty of space. Can easily walk to a number of local restaurants though the one we tried, Mr E Steakhouse was not great.
What a great place to stay while visiting the Grand Canyon. We stayed in the lodge and not the motel. Easy check in, friendly people. Rooms were nice, beds were comfy. The only draw back was there was no breakfast included. There are restaurants close by that offer a discount by showing your room card but we like to stay at places that offer breakfast so we can get out and enjoy the day sooner. It seems none of the hotels in that area offered this. With that said if we are in the area again we would definitely stay there.
Nice property near the Grand Canyon. Dining options nearby and convenient.
We stayed on the motel side. We were two families and rooms were clean and comfortable. The surrounding area felt safe and it was very convenient to many eating places and amenities, all walking distance. It is close the Grand Canyon National Park. I would stay here again.
clean and comfortable
So glad we we had this experience
The staff is so friendly and kind. Very clean. Super impressed
Room was very clean and roomy. Would stay here again as long as it's not overpriced.
We liked how nicely furnished and clean our suite was. It would have been better to have black out shades. Staff was the best!
The staff upgraded me to a handicap room. I could get in and of the lower bed and a walk in shower was awesome. Parking is a little of a problem
Check-in was a breeze. I got the floor I wanted. The room was in a very good condition, clean, has a seating area and a work desk. There is a hot tea and coffee station downstairs. The room has a fridge, microwave, and coffee machine. Shower had a good flow of hot water. You can open a window for fresh air and the conditioner is very easy to control so it does not make noise all the time. Safe and nice area outside, easy checkout. Not a single thing I would change.
Loved the atmosphere and cleanliness of the lobby, room and outside. The chairs by the fire were welcoming after a chilly evening at the Grand Canyon. Its a shame breakfast wasn't included, however the Foody club was within walking distance and their breakfasts were fab and we got 10%off as we were Red Feather Lodge guests.
We were welcomed by very nice staff members. The hotel room was large, clean, it had everything one needed. The location was great as we walked to the nearby restaurants and it was a 5 minutes drive to the Grand Canyon entrance.

Very nice but the restaurant attached to this motel has horrible food. I would eat elsewhere.
M
Price of room.
Close to National Park. Good restaurants nearby. Quiet area at night.
Great facility clean and great location
I love this Hotel this is my 4th time staying they accommodate everything you could need or want. The rooms are clean the Hotel is close to the park 4 miles to the trail head to hike. Hotel staff is kind and always available. I really love it at this Hotel only place I stay when I come to Hike the Grand Canyon.
Awesome stay! The location is fantastic, just a few minutes from the Grand Canyon National Park entrance. The staff, especially at reception, were wonderful and incredibly helpful. Bonus points for being within walking distance of several restaurants and having an Electrify America charging station nearby. Highly recommend!
Close ti Grand Canyon NP.
NA
The staff were great! I posted about a broken coffee pot and someone called within an hour! They offered to replace it but it was user error🙄
Great customer service. Very good location from the Grand Canyon
Comfortable beds, nice coffee/tea station. Quiet, and convenient for the park entrance.

Awesome staff!
Staff had minimal contact with us when questioned they were brief and busy
Great stay. Beautiy facility.
Dated motel but clean. There is a newer building though we stayed in the older motel. For $200 a night you'd expect breakfast. 36" tv with limited channels. Was told the pool was heated. It wasnt. Cold nights.
Wonderful
Great location! Close to the Grand Canyon. The room was clean, comfortable bed! Plenty of places to eat within walking distance.
A clean comfortable room with kind and knowledgeable staff.
Room had a good size and having a microwave and a fridge was very convenient.
Good quality accomodation
Clean room, friendly staff. Walking distance to restaurants.
The hotel was good for family trip and the room was fine with two queen beds, the only misleading issue in the hotel you see in the picture is that the lobey looks great and indeed looks good but there are two parts for that hotel, rooms which are inside the main building which are not accessible from the street/parking while there is another building in the back were we stayed which has no elevator only stairs and all rooms are fronting the parking not inside the building as the main, therefore I would expect that the hotel will at least mention the fact that there are two types of rooms ones facing outside, others are inside the building
Excellent condition and amenities
The Red Feather Lodge is extremely convenient to the South Entrance of the Grand Canyon. We had rain the first afternoon, and although we needed to keep travelling we were close enough to make a quick morning visit. The local town has several dining options, a liquor store and some shopping. We saw two Elk grazing across the street. Overall the hotel staff were pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast provided a large assortment of options. The room was comfortable and clean. I would book it again!
Rooms were nice and clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful
Room is clean and convenient location
The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and a pleasure to talk to. The room was very comfortable and perfect for our needs.
Na
Convenient location, lots of parking, comfortable beds.
I was upgraded from the motel to the hotel.
This was perfect for our quick grand canyon visit. Clean and comfortable.
The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. It is a nice place to stay. We really enjoyed our time there.
More than we expected!! All the room conveniences. Everything was very clean. We loved our one night stay and wish it was longer.
Clean and comfy room
Our room was clean and comfortable. Several walkable dining options close by. Quite convenient to Grand Canyon National Park. A great stay
The front desk workers were always friendly and accommodating. We added another night to our stay and at first were told we would not be able to keep the same room, but when we went to check out for the first night and inquired about the room availability for the next night they did some shuffling of rooms and we were able to keep our same room.
