Reviewed Mar 5, 2026Very clean and comfortable space, came with great amenities, a very quick drive to town with restaurant options in walking distance too! (and the deck was perfect for catching the lunar eclipse and stargazing!)

Reviewed Mar 1, 2026The place is very clean and lovely, the bed was very comfortable, the breakfast provided was excellent. The room faced a beautiful relaxing garden. The host is very responsive. The only reason I will not pick the place again is because I missed having a microwave.

Reviewed Feb 25, 2026The garden view apartment itself was fine and the breakfast provided was good quality. Unfortunately for us it did not match the description.
The description did not say there were two apartments. There was nothing in the description for the property to say this so we understood there were full cooking facilities.( the other apartment) Arrived after just being to the supermarket to find out this was not the case and the fridge was small with not enough room for our food. Unfortunately we had to throw it away. We did query the description with the owner who provided us with a cool box and told us to go to the garage to get some ice. This was not sufficient to save our food from going off. We had to eat out for two nights which we hadn’t budgeted for. Not happy and have complained to booking.com but no compensation forthcoming for incorrect description and extra expense incurred

Reviewed Feb 22, 2025Great, spacious apartment in Wanaka. The apartment is close to everything - just about 5 mins drive into town, 10 mins to Roy’s peak, and an incredible lavender farm nearby. Thxs for a great stay!!!

Reviewed Jan 28, 2024Great stay at Black Peak View. Close to town, even walkable if you like. Lovely space, comfortable, clean and so very quiet. The view is fantastic. Nice to look out and see rabbits about. Hellen was a wonderful host. Would gladly stay again and again.

Reviewed Jan 14, 2024Lovely large garden room which was quite delightful and we were left a tasty continental breakfast with fresh muffins. Outside we had a choice of two shaded sitting out areas in an expansive garden. You could see the hills beyond.Our hosts were very nice, we felt welcomed. We liked the lovely-smelling toiletries!
We found the bed a little firm to our taste. It was a very hot night and there was a fan rather than aircon, but we felt okay leaving windows open. Otherwise fine.

Reviewed Nov 6, 2023Clean and spacious. Heat pump made it easy to heat. Well appointed kitchen made it usable so you didn’t have to eat out every night. Close enough to town to be handy but far away enough to make it quiet.

sometimes the internet would drop out and sorting out the TV was difficult at times - but really wasn’t a big issue
