Reviewed Aug 21, 2026The unit is well appointed, warm and comfortable, light and spacious with everything you need for a short stay. The pantry and fridge were pre stocked with breakfast supplies which was a lovely touch. Not something I’ve encountered before but made for a relaxing arrival. Great location walking distance from gyms and a couple of good bars/restaurants.

Reviewed Jan 25, 2026The studio was separate from the main house, providing complete privacy. We enjoyed the large sliding doors that opened to a lush garden and small patio. Jen was very welcoming and provided a few unexpected breakfast items. Everything was clean and comfy!

Reviewed Jan 15, 2026A brilliant stay, comfy and clean, and nice to be in a classic B&B again, not like all the soulless code-entry Airbnbs these days! it was great to have personal welcome and a good yarn with the host, and the breakfast and drinks provided were a nice touch. It's a little bit out of town, so might not suit those travelling without a car, but I was happy to be somewhere quieter, there's some great coffee and a brewery still in walking distance, and the garden here was a great place to chill.

Reviewed Jan 3, 2026The place was lovely with good facilities. Parking just outside the door. The food provided for breakfast was yum. Bed was comfy and the shower was hot and strong. Not to9 far from town but the Tree House restaurant down the road was a highlight.
Not right in the middle of town, but probably a 20-30 minute walk to Lake Wanaka. We like it quiet so was not an issue for us.

Reviewed Dec 14, 2025This is our top favorite accommodation during our travels in the south island. Such a cosy and spotless studio. The tiny details make it worthwhile especially the breakfast (fresh bread, spreads, coffee, and tea). Comfiest bed and pillows. Cute courtyard and gardens where we ate our breakfast. Handy to have a microwave as well, but cooking isn’t allowed. Jen personally welcomed us and bid us goodbye when we left. Love the feeling like we were staying at a friend’s place and said hello to her cute dog too :) 10 min walk to the city centre or a short drive

Reviewed Dec 6, 2025Beautifully laid out unit (all one room but still spacious). Lots of clothes storage space and hooks etc. Breakfast supplies were generous and tasty. Quiet location and we managed to see the Southern Cross in the sky at night.
There's nothing we didn't like. Some of the Art studio work is available to buy but it's cash only and we had none sadly.

Jen even prepared a wonder spread for our breakfast which was simply delicious. Highly recommend her place for anyone planning to spend a night or two in Wanaka.

Reviewed Nov 11, 2025Art Glass Studio is a very nice BnB in a great neighborhood about 3-5 minutes driving-time from downtown Wanaka. Jen, the owner, is a sweet lady, an artist, and it showed in our beautiful room with kitchenette, beautiful bathroom, and beautiful yard in the back. Wonderful in-room self-serve breakfast in the morning with coffee, tea, milk, creals, etc. Wanaka is a beautiful town on Lake Wanaka, with great shops and restaurants, parks, etc. "Beautiful" just doesn't describe the town or the lake well enough. Boat rides and rental kayaks are available. And, of course, you need to walk along the lake shore to visit the famous Wanaka Tree. One night and a half day was nowhere near enough! This is a place that might make you want to drop everything and relocate! Seriously! Wish we had had more time to spend here. Next time for sure!!!

Reviewed Oct 19, 2025Spotless, new Studio, perfect design for a couple. Everything was so clean and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Perfect sleep in a very quiet location. A continental breakfast included, perfect. An easy walk into town and a great brewery bar at the bottom of the street, b social. Great choice of beers and a few good wines for the non beer drinkers. Jen also was there to greet us and also wish us a safe journey as we checked out. I thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

The bed was very comfortable, but we both found the pillows too puffy. I know everyone likes different pillows types, but we both ended up with sore necks in the morning.

Reviewed Apr 23, 2025The room while is listed as B&B, is separated from the main house and is through a narrow passage towards the back. The room is of good size and the best part is that it is definitely has been tastefully done up. The linen was of superb quality and the bed was very comfy. The room overlooks a very small garden but again it is very well done. Not much view of Wanaka as such but then all this was known to me via all the reviews. The toilet small but well appointed and all super clean. The good part was that it was very private stay. The so-called continental breakfast was the host leaves in the cupboard, 3 types of cereals, milk, orange juice, two buns, butter, jams and that was good for us. You just take it, toast and eat. It is not served. So, while it was a bit of a surprise for us, but worked out well as we could manage it the way we wanted without any time issue. The only surprise was the way host met (Read: Saw) us and just said one word that room was though the passage and is ready and never met us or showed us the room, etc. It did not feel warm but then if you discount that, then all was perfect.

There was so much detail/ thought put in the room - a great selection of complementary breakfast, tea and coffee, even though we didn't need it there was even an umbrella. Overall an outstanding stay - thank you very much for having us 😊
