Sheraton Boston Needham Hotel

The young men at the front desk were helpful, courteous and good communicators. I wish I remembered their names because they were a delight and the reason I came back several days later.

Turns out that our visit coincided with freshman move-in at the local universities, so it was a little pricey. When we arrived the room temperature was set to 64 so it took a while to return to a livable temp.

We upgraded to get two beds versus one, the upgrade came with breakfast access to a "special" room. Ha! Not so "special" the line for the coffee machine was long and when not long having to wait for it to be cleaned. The staff should have asked if any one in the party was disabled, it would have saved us the parking fee. Overall, this is the second time we have stayed here, have to say not impressed either time. There will not be a third time.

The property was close to venue we were attending.

The property was not well cleaned. Especially the elevator.

Location was prefect for our concert. The staff were so accommodating even after our stressful situation (didn’t have anything to do with the hotel, my bank was being annoying.) The room was spacious and very clean!

Gym was good, rooms were nice and kitchen worked out great.

The bar/lounge area is closed.

Parking. Would have liked to park closer to the hotel. Why are you charging for parking? You do nothing with or to my car. When I got to the front door, I didn't know what to do. Can I leave my car and run in? Are yhere spaces to use so I can check in. The luggage trolleys were difficult to use.

Location very central in Needham. Close to a beautiful running trail.

Poor selection at breakfast. Hot food was gummy. Everything was served on plastic and a lot of the cold selection was single-use disposables so lots of waste creation.

Price, quality and location were all nice.

This hotel was located near some friends that we visited. This is basically a business hotel. It is not "walkable" in the traditional sense. The room was clean. We only stayed on night and left too early to take advantage of any breakfast, if there was one.

We were on the gym level (4th floor?) near the conference rooms, so that was a little weird. Getting in and out of the garage required a ticket and was not straightforward. Very few staff are around. Self-serve for most functions. At night, there was only one bartender and one waitress in the bar/lobby area, which was full of business travelers, and with only one server, the service was slow.

Whether you’re visiting Boston for business, leisure, or an extended stay, the Sheraton Boston Needham is an outstanding choice. The combination of exceptional staff, beautifully updated facilities, comfortable accommodations, and genuine hospitality makes this hotel one that we will gladly return to and enthusiastically recommend to others.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful especially Cecilia who checked us in and Eddy, the waiter who served us breakfast.

Not sure where to begin. Front desk upon arrival was not warm, not friendly, nor even welcoming. Hence the primary role of his job. Upon arrival to room, garbage was all over the front of the door. When in room, it smelled so badly of mold, aging cheap furniture, and sh*t. Let’s go to the bathroom; no body soap in dispenser, shampoo was almost empty, not a bar of soap by the sink either. Room phone doesn’t work. WTF is management not doing or “doing” bc this hotel is a mess. No hand soap in bathroom at the gym / pool area. And as noted in prior posts from other guests, no mattress coverings / mattresses pads on the mattresses. Just sheets on the mattress, which is unsanitary at all costs. Who owns this place????? Oh should I mention the bugs in the bathroom and bedroom. Yea. No bueno. So imagine what the kitchen must look like that makes you the hotel food if the guests rooms are like this.

it was ok the ice machine in the 3 floor did not work and there were no microwave on each floor i was in 3 floor to find one

My friend and I stayed at this hotel as were in Boston to watch Scotland play at the World Cup. We knew nothing of the location and only booked it as it was close to Gillette stadium and downtown Boston. What a find this was! Hotel was immaculate and the food was excellent. All the staff we encountered were friendly and professional. We stayed in a junior suite which was huge and very well appointed. We also loved the town of Needham. Definitely a hotel I’d recommend.

My room must have been pet friendly at one time and there was remnants of dog poop on rug and it had the smell of wet dog. My only comment would be that there was loud party of guest at two am in morning. I went to get rest and was awaken in middle of night

Demetrius at the front desk was great. The bartender was nice as was our waitress. David and Chris with the banquet staff are great. Some of the other staff, not at all nice. Our room wasn't very clean at all. The same trash was in the hall for days on end.

The beds were very comfortable and I loved the clean, crisp sheets/linens.

Paying $17 per night to park is offensive. FOR THAT ALONE, I’d be inclined to stay elsewhere. Also, your front desk staff could use a little tutorial on what it means to be welcoming. Flat personalities going through the motions to get you checked in.

I paid extra for a King bedroom and breakfast on the 5th floor lounge, we were told the lounge was closed! So we ordered room service, which was in take out boxes! @ $75.00. The bar/restaurant didn't open until 5pm!

Comfortable beds and the room was completely dark for a good nights sleep.

The phone did not work in one room and the a/c-heater did not work in the other. Breakfast was WAY overpriced. One room had NO T.P. In it and took a while to deliver ONE roll to the room. The soap dispenser was empty. Blankets requested were never delivered.

The staff was friendly. Nice downstairs/common area. Nice pool area with clean towels available.

The room was not clean. There was hair in the shower, on the shower curtain, in the towels, and on the floor. There was something spilled in the fridge that was not cleaned up prior to us arriving . It just didn't feel clean.

The hotel has a great atmosphere. The room was very clean, the staff were warm and welcoming, and both check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free.

The soundproofing could be better. On weekend nights, it gets quite noisy outside with kids running around. The room faced the inner courtyard, so it was quite dark even during the day. Access to the parking garage isn’t perfect.

Parking entry and exit with room card is wonky, zero complimentary coffee is a deal breaker, and no breakfast. Not worth the price paid.

Hotel has advertised itself as being close to public transport and very central. That is entirely not the case. A 1 mile walk is not close.

The room was clean and comfortable. The location was convenient and the overall stay was good.

They advertised the parking fee as discounted, but in reality it was not reduced at all. That was disappointing. There was also confusion with the room assignment during check-in.

The staff were friendly and accomodating to our family, which included a very active 2-year old. The room was very comfortable and so clean. The housekeepers were friendly and efficient. And the location was perfect for visiting our family and friends around the Needham/Newton/Brookline/West Roxbury area. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip.

I wish the club had been open over the weekend, but we were given vouchers for the breakfast area so we still were able to have a hearty meal before venturing out for the day.

Stayed 8 nights for visiting friends and family in Greater Boston area. Chose the hotel because of location, good value and reviews of good hotel service. It is a basic but full service hotel and I was able to get room service late at night after arriving in a rainy night in April. Room service was reasonably priced and the Club (opens from Sunday afternoon to Friday afternoon) is well stocked with fruits, snacks and drinks. Breakfast buffet at the Club and hotel restaurant offered choices similar to breakfasts at Residence Inn/Fairfield Inn chains. Most notable is the service by Cecilia at the front desk. Although I was not able to get a suite upgrade when I checked in, Cecilia said she would look for an upgrade after a conference at the hotel is over later in the week. She followed up and upgraded my room to a suite on Day 3 (thanks to my lifetime platinum elite status). I had read hotel reviews about the good customer service at this hotel and they did delivered. Bravo!

Location without easy public transportation

For the location it was very good value.

Room was not obviously checked before my arrival. I had no heat the first night. Parking is expensive and not convenient.

The hotel itself was fine. Rooms were fine.

Our stay includes breakfast. Other family members booked on a different site and their reservations included breakfast also. However there were two different breakfasts going on. Neither of us had any idea that we wouldn’t be in the same breakfast. Staff was unhelpful. And they were virtually the same. In addition there was a fire alarm. There was no direction from any staff about what to do or if there was an actual fire. Customers going up and down. Nobody knew what to do. God forbid there was ever a real issue. Finally someone said everything was okay.

Front desk staff and the restaurant staff were super friendly and accomodating. Hotel is very clean. Property is very clean.

I think $17 for parking is quite expensive. Also did not like having my room across from the fitness center and near the pool.

$125 feels hefty for a pet fee when you’re only staying 1 night but otherwise everything was great.

I will give three constructive criticism. One: the long uphill ramp leading up to the hotels makes it hard to find for the 1st time visitors. Two: the name of the street on which the hotel is located conflated with another street of the same name in Boston. So, my GPS could not tell at first and led me to the wrong street with the same name. Three: the design of the faucet for the shower made it a puzzle for the visitors to turn off. Simplify it.

This hotel had everything one needs...a (small) gym, plenty of parking, clean rooms, and decent breakfast food. (There's a pool, also...but our party didn't use it.) The staff was quite friendly, too, perhaps the one thing that really stands out about our stay here.

The phones did not work in both rooms that I stayed, I even called a repairman, he came and couldn't fix it. The thermostat in the first room I stayed did not work well, was very noisy and would not warm up the room properly. The shower handle did not work well (was either loose or hard to turn off). The conditioner container was empty. I asked to bring me more and the service people brought me another refilling bottle, which was also nearly empty. I was switched to another room for my second night and again the conditioner was empty and the phone in the room did not work. The breakfast was good, but there was no alternative milk available (like soy or almond or oat) and very limited amount of fruit (cut watermelon, cantaloupe, sometime grapes).

Staffs were so kind and polite and the atmosphere was so friendly and good. The breakfast has good quality and also included nice snacks every evening. The parking was $10 per day which was great.

The restroom door inner side was so dirty and the restroom was not cleaned well. They didn’t provide tooth brush and toothpaste. And it would be better if they had pair of slippers for shower . The room was clean overall but the restroom was not cleaned well.
