Es gab kein Frühstück
Im ganzen Zimmer scharze Käfer und Kakerlaken
The location is excellent, and the rooms are very family-friendly with two big beds, which made our stay comfortable. We arrived late at night, so we couldn’t spend as much time as we wished, but it was still a nice experience.
We do wish the bathroom had been cleaner, and unfortunately, hot water was not available in our room.
The room was very spacious and very comforting
The aircondition capacity not enough to cool the room.
I can't praise enough the staff of the hotel. They serve with a smile and professionalism. Location was few meters from the temple grounds entrance. Food portions were generous. The beds were large so two people can easily share a bed in comfort.
Hotel really should get correct size bedsheets made. All the bedsheets were short. So our feet was on the bare mattress. I have never seen anything like it before. Their charges are higher than close by hotels so they sure can buy correct size sheets. Bathroom layout could've been better. You have to use the hand basin from the side. You can't stand in front as commode is too close to the hand basin. The fridge didn't work. Not only when you take the key card out of the slot any electrical appliance stops but the fridge never cooled after all night of being on. Which was frustrating.
Staff were lovely and they all went out of their way to help
The room needs so much work, the bathroom tap was falling off, all the fittings were rusty. There was a bad odour from the drain. The bottom sheet only covered 3/4 of the bed. The breakfast was cold and made before our agreed time, and the breakfast sausage looked and tasted very old. The pool whilst it was very clean, had broken tiles. I feel sad for the staff who try so hard , someone needs to throw some money into this place!
It met all our expectations. Close to the temple. Clean, spacious and comfy rooms. 2 queen beds in each room. Tea/coffee making facilities. Hot water shower.
Location
Nothing
The room was comfortable -see below for shortcomings Breakfast was O.K.
There was no facility for making tea/coffee. The fridge was empty. My wife (who was chief occupant along with my daughter and a friend) had to request a change of sheets. There were stray dogs on the premises. Not belonging to a Hotel chain, and the owner living in ? Colombo, there is the need for better management on site
Location
Overpriced Menu, 1 liter water bottle will cost you Rs.385/= Maintainance should be more improved. Cockroaches are there 🥲
Good location, situated near to the katharagama dewalaya. Clean beds and food is also available in their in house restaurant
Location close to Kataragama; nice looking property; friendly staff
General standard of cleanliness and maintenance of bathroom fixtures and fittings could be improved. Taps/ shower fittings covered in scale; As per other reviews, no towels in the rooms! Had to ask for these. For the price paid (breakfast not included) I would not have expected these issues.
Breakfast was very delicious.
location, staffs
Mosquitos in room.
Great comfortable rooms. Support staff were very friendly and supportive. Location is near to all needs. Food was delicious!!!!!
The room was spacious and clean. The shower was excellent and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was great to have the pool to cool off in the afternoon. The hotel is in a convenient location near the temple and a grocery store. The Sri Lankan breakfast was exceptional. Highly recommended.
Good value for the money, friendly staff, nice pool.
Very nice accommodation on visiting Yala national park. Clean and tidy rooms, friendly hosts😊
This is a great place to stay becouse of the safari. Room was big and clean.
Bads are too soft and it needs little renovation.
Their bathroom damage system is already blocked but they rent the room for us it was a bad smell
Has all the needed facilities, albeit slightly dated.
We spent one night only . Without breakfast.. all went well
Clean, spacious, near the temple precinct. Nice pool
Food needs improvement. Generous portions but the English breakfast and pancakes fell short.

The pool. Especially cleanliness.
Great attentive staff, good food and lovely swimming pool.
Location
Staff was helpful esp Ramu
I had booked for 4 ppl but they gave me only 2 milk, 2 bottled water and 2 towels
The hotel looks good from the outside but from inside, it's completely different.
The room had some electricity issues. We had to change the room in the middle of the night. The water kettle used to heat the drinking water was rusted. The bed sheets were torn. The bed was broken and made squeaky noises. There were ants all over the place. Most of the furniture was broken. We were asked to pay for the stay before they showed us the room.

very bad hotel and poor house keeping and pests issue, Ac noy working
350 meters from the bus stand. Many eateries within the same distance. The Kiri Vehera temple required a short tuk tuk ride. The Kovil was within walking distance. Food City grocery store is 50 meters.
No bed and breakfast package available. You can pre order all meals with an a la carte menu.
Great breakfast. Value for money. Very convenient location if you planning to visit Kiri Wehera and Kataragama Devalaya. Walking distance.
good
Cross the road and your at the temple. The food also is good. Raju the bellboy completes your stay.
The hot water did not work. Showering was a challenge. If the water worked and the outside areas were cleaner would have given it a 10.
The staff was friendly, and there’s a convenient parking area inside the gates. Overall, the room was comfortable and clean, and the food was quite good.
The air conditioning was ineffective, even when set to full fan speed at 16°C. The ceiling fan was also too slow. Additionally, the room did not have a kettle.
The food is too expensive
Everything is fine except one or two things
While we were sleeping AC started leaking on to the bed that was a night mare
This is a charming, cozy hotel with an exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. While it’s not the most luxurious, it offers all the essential amenities, including air conditioning and hot water. Its location is ideal, being very close to the sacred area of Kataragama. The staff can assist in arranging three-wheeler transport to and from the hotel, as personal vehicles are not allowed in the sacred zone without a special pass. One standout feature is the designated area for preparing offerings, and the staff go out of their way to help with the process. However, it's important to bring all necessary items with you, as certain supplies can be difficult to find in Kataragama due to its small-town nature and limited shopping options.
everything is supperb
breakfast and dinner very very poor
dinner service
Everything thing is good
There was nothing good about the place except for Raju who greeted us nicely and served us tea
The place is not maintained very well. There were bugs and cockroaches inside the room. The bathrooms had water leaks from the top which was dripping down. The place is not clean which is very disappointing
First of all room and toilet are dirty. Broken toilet door. Lots of insect and 🕷 cockroaches. Toilet is not clean at all. Room And bathroom are stinking smell. Dont book by looking at the pics. Its not. Worrh for money i rather stay guest house or pay extra £10 for 5 star hotel
I am very happy with the service they provided. Yummy food and very kind staff. The room is big, and the beds are comfy.
The bathroom needs more attention, bit aged. Hot water is working fine.
the hotel was good, staff was good, comfy and large rooms, peaceful area. Pool was clean when we got there, the door lock system is nice, it wont open from the outside with no card and beeps if door is kept open for for than 30 seconds.
food was not great but expensive, there were some bed bugs that bit us when we were sleeping. I have a dust allergy and the mosquito nets were dusty, I had to remove them before I slept, the AC is new but not strong enough to cool the entire room, should have more than one AC for a room that big or an AC with a higher horsepower. They have normal blankets even in the AC rooms, so when the room does get cold after hours of running the AC, the beds near the AC becomes too cold to sleep in since the blanket is too thin.
It's a large old hotel, catering to the many pilgrims who travel through Kataragama. But they were very welcoming to we Western tourists! We took a room with a private balcony, but it was a claustrophobic small area out the back, the large shared terrace at front was much more attractive. Because they are not catering to Westerners, the price is very good value. As everywhere, the staff were so kind, helpful and welcoming, in spite of little English being spoken. There is also a pool! (though we didn't use it).
The building (as with many in Sri Lanka because of decades of political trouble) is past its best days, but is still very comfortable. Not worth paying for a balcony, just use the shared terrace. The food here is quite expensive, and the dishes we had were ok but not great. Being a non-tourist town there is a dearth of restaurants so really nowhere else to eat.
Staff and location
Paint chipping off from the dampened wall separating the washroom, bathroom ceiling showing cobwebs and linen showing spots.
Breakfast was really good .Staff was helpfull and friendly . Cleaned room and washroom . Place was as expected.
Great location. Very clean. Nice pool.
Nothing
Stay was good, as always. And Raja was, as usual, very helpful. Place is good, big beds and comfortable. Walking distance to holy area.
Need to fix up small wall patches and others to make it complete. But overall good
A best place
