Грязные стены и постельное белье , отсутствие горячей воды , плохо работающий вай-фай.

Piękny kolonialny budynek, który sam w sobie jest historią. Przyjemnie się w takim śpi, łóżko jest wygodne a pokój klimatyczny. Super działająca klimatyzacja, piękna ceramika w której kupujesz kawe, oraz cudowny widok na ocean i palmy.

Podczas naszego pobytu był tylko jeden pracownik. Młody chłopak. Był miły i pomocny. Ale dość kiepsko mówił po angielsku. Udogodnienia które są podane, tak naprawdę nie istnieją. Spa nie istnieje. Menu jest piękne i bogate, ale co z tego, jak nic nie mogłem sobie zamówić. Do tego stopnia. Że nawet nie mogłem zamówić cappuccino ( w menu była taka opcja). Dostalem zwykłą zalewajkę z mlekiem, ale za to w pięknej ceramice. Nauczcie chociaż tego chłopaka obsługi ekspresu do kawy... to podstawa... tak samo chciałem z dziewczyną napić się drinków, ale nie było. Było tylko piwo lion, i sok ananasowy lub z guawy. Chcieliśmy zjeść tam kolacje, ale okazało się, że kuchnia ,,nie działa,, bo nie ma szefa kuchni a młody chłopak co chwile dzwonił do szefa o coś się spytać. Tak samo na śniadaniu. Zamiast dobrego śniadania takiego jak widziałem na zdjęciach u innych - dostaliśmy kiepski omlet i tosty. To wszystko. Nie było żadnego wyboru, bo nie było ,,szefa,,. Za hotel Chcieliśmy zapłacić kartą, a na zajutrz się dowiedziałem, że jest problem z terminalem i musieliśmy gotówką. Nie winię tutaj tego młodego chłopaka bo on się starał, ale sam nie ogarnął tego. Sam pracuje w hotelu i rozumiem, że jest poza sezonem, więc mniej osób potrzebnych do pracy ale wiem, że nie może być jedna osoba od wszystkiego. Poza tym no nie może być taka sytuacja, że płacę normalnie za pokój ze śniadaniem, ale mamy jakiegoś pecha że akurat nie ma szefa i za tą samą cenę dostajemy 50% gorszy, skromniejszy i okrojony standard w porównaniu do reszty gości, którym się poszczęściło, bo akurat wtedy szef był i dostali dobre śniadanie i mieli szansę skorzystać z innych udogodnień.

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Kusum. It is even more beautiful than the pictures – a gorgeous, charming colonial house full of character, with a beautiful turquoise swimming pool right by the beach. The location was perfect for us. It was lovely and peaceful, and we could walk along the beach to a quieter area where we swam with sea turtles, which was one of the highlights of our time in Sri Lanka. The host was incredibly kind, friendly and welcoming, and made us feel completely at home. I honestly fell in love with this place and only wish we could have stayed longer than three nights. It felt like our little piece of paradise in Hikkaduwa. We would definitely stay here again and hope to come back one day. Highly recommended!

Sehr hilfsbereite und freundliche Besitzer. Das Hotel ist ein bisschen abgegriffen, aber mit viel Charme. Ich hatte ein schönes, großes Zimmer mit Balkon und einem wunderschönen Blick aufs Meer. Das Frühstück konnte ich spontan und individuell bestellen. Einfach aber gut mit Ei und Obst für mich☺️ Die Lage ist ein bisschen abseits, aber wenn man einen kleinen Spaziergang am Meer oder an den Geschäften entlang mag, ist man recht schnell im Stadtkern.

To be clear: not a complaint. The bathroom in the first room we got did not work but they solved It immediately by leading us to the attic room. No problem at all.

We loved this hotel! Friendly and serviceminded staff, excellent food was cooked for us and there was a nice and familiar atmosphere at the hotel. Pool was clean and good. Rooms were also really good, comfortable beds, and clean bathroom with a good standard. The rooms were really big and clean, and in a very good condition. A nice balcony and in the room on the groundfloor there were a big terass. Both with seeview. We would definately come back, and we recommend it to everyone! Thank you for a good visit!

Lovely little property set on a quiet area of the beach. The staff were super attentive & lovely. Free breakfast and room upgrade was included. The shower in the room was powerful & hot, something we have struggled to find elsewhere in Sri Lanka. It was really nice having swimming pool to cool off in but also right on the beach. Incredible value for money!!

De accomodatie, de ligging aan de zee en de hulpvaardigheid van Dinesh. Het eten is super, maar je moet er wel tegen kunnen dat je wat langer dan normaal moet wachten, want het wordt allemaal vers bereid, echt vers

De ventilators waren niet op orde en had je toch echt wel nodig, we kregen wel een staande fan, maar was niet genoeg

The beach was wonderful, quiet and relaxing, far from the crowds. The rooms were spacious, clean and cosy. The food was nice. Highly recommended.

Väga sümpaatne väike hotell mere kaldal. Väga lahke ja abivalmis petsonal, 10 punkti. Toad olid ilusad, mugavad, baldahhiinvoodil olid võrgud ees. Mõnus, puhas bassein. Vsiksem piirkond, leskusesse ca 1 km mööda randa jalutada. Meile sobis, olime suures kärast eemal ( mujal hästi palju lärmakaid vene rahvusest turiste)

Tube ei koriststud kordagi meie nädalase viibimise ajal. Ags see ongi vist siin igal pool kombeks. Hinna sees olev hommikusöök oli maitsev, kuid üsna kesine. Kohv vilets, lisasime oma kohvipuru, siis joodav. Asukoht oli küll keskusest kaugemal, aga meile meeldis piki randa jalutada.

Ellugar esta muy bien. Es una casa estilo colonial, con salida directa a la playa, unss vistas preciosas. Ideal para descansar.

Прекрасное место на берегу океана. Номера комфортные, матрасы великолепные. Можно заказать покушать, можно кофе в номер... в душе есть тёплая вода, прекрасный напор. В бассейне хоть на ушах круглые сутки можно стоять.

We were the only people there - a private villa in the beach. Staff were fantastic and attentive. We had a wonderful relaxing 3 nights

An incredible place close to the ocean with perfect pool which is open for swimming for an 24 hour, what is amazing. Room was very clear, designed in really nice rustical style. Food is really good, also for the dinner, not only for breakfast. Also the location is really good, of you want for example watch turtles is a place just 30 minutes by walking by the beach. The hosts was really nice, every our request was possible, so i totally recommend Villa Kusum for everyone!

An old style heritage house with its own beach access and a good pool - needed as sea is too rough to swim. Excellent service from attentive staff, good food and comfy sun beds. The beach facing rooms are spacious and quiet with good balconies.

If you want to enjoy the buzz of Hikkaduwa at night, the property is a 5 minute drive away….we wanted the peace and quiet so not an issue for us.

Beautifully spot right on the beach, beautiful old villa with original furniture. Staff is really nice, delicious welcome drink, amazing pool with ocean view in quiet garden

The villa needs some maintenance (room doors are in bad shape, room and bathroom walls need cleaning and repainting, bathroom outdated, rodents running around above the ceiling panels at night)

Loved the traditional colonial decor. The pool was lovely and right on the beach front which was great. Very good shower and AC. But mostly, the staff were all so lovely and kind. Dinesh cooked us a 6 course meal for New Year’s Eve which was very good.

The WiFi wasn’t that great in our room (we were downstairs and think it might be better in other parts of the villa).

This was very good stay! Villa is quite dated but it is clean and comfy. The owner of the place is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is temporary closed but he offered us a breakfast and delicious coffee in the morning. Swimming pool is big and clean.

Great location a bit outside Hikkaduwa at Narigama Beach. Wonderful beach side location with a nice pool as well. Compared to Hikkaduwa there are only a few people in this area and it is great to relax here. If you wanna go to Hikkaduwa, it is only a 25mins walk on the beach or a 5min ride by Tuk Tuk. The owner (father and son) are just great 😊 they always helpful and even enabled us an early check in and a later check out as well as having organized a taxi to the airport - great place to start or finish your holidays.

Fantastic location right at a much nicer beach than in central Hikkaduwa. Very friendly and helpful guys working at the place. Rooms are cozy, comfortable with well working AC. Great with a swimming pool since the waves in the sea sometimes can be quite rough. Great breakfast!

Beautiful location directly on the beach. Clean spacious rooms. It's probably one of the cleanest hotels we have been to Sri Lanka. Nice and clean pool. Very comfortable bed.

It was a little bit too loud to sleep because of main road, train and ocean sounds.

Dinesh and his father are super hospitable and make sure you lack nothing and Dinesh's years of experience allow him to cook excellently. In addition, the house and rooms are really fantastic. In the spacious room you can hear the sea in the background and enjoy the sunset from your balcony in front of your room (overlooking the sea). Also the bed and bathroom meet the expectations. The pool is also excellent! And when you want to lie on the beach, Dinesh and his father put out umbrellas and beds on the beach. Highly recommended!

Amazing villa that looks as it was bulit during colonial times. It is converted to a small boutique hotel with a beautiful pool. Breakfast was great, and hosts were really noce and helpful. Amazing experience!❤️

Villa Kusum ligger perfekt. Strax utanför Hikkaduwa kan gå annars tar man en Tuktuk. Frukosten var mycket bra. Familjen som arbetade var mycket gästvänliga, hjälpte till med allt vad vi önskade. Vi kan varmt rekommendera detta boende. Hälsningar från Thomas o Pia som gärna kommer tillbaka
