The pictures online are very deceiving for the room size and the quality of the furniture decor etc. Beds and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable with tiny ants crawling on us through the night. Beds creaked with every moment. Nothing felt clean or washed. Restaurant was reasonable but not much for breakfast to offer as they always seemed to be out of things. Staff were lovely could not fault them. Definitely not worth the $$ spent

Le Cliff is a truly unique place to stay. Sleeping literally on the edge of the cliffs with the ocean beneath you is an experience I'll never forget. The views are spectacular, and hearing the waves all day and night creates such a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and that's part of the charm. It's all about the location and the incredible setting. Perfect for surfers and anyone wanting a quiet escape away from busy resorts. A special place with unforgettable views—I would definitely return.

The only small downside was the monkeys, who can be quite cheeky, so you need to keep doors and belongings secure. That's part of staying on the cliffs, though, and didn't take away from the experience.

Staff did not speak good English Received no information about the location or how to get there Room was terribly sealed Aircon was too small Kitchen are was disgusting with no basic appliances or even just a hand towel We had no hott water We were not tolled about the stairs and it is extremely unsafe with not even a hand rail Le cliff cafe is equally disappointing with tiny portions and no taste. After walking past the kitchen which was absolutely disgusting. I was going to ask for compensation however I didn’t bother as I knew I wouldn’t get far with the poorly spoken staff

View was great! Stairs are a killer but we knew that before we went there.

It was really awesome. I loved every moment because it was so beautiful. They were the steps which I had expected. I didn’t think it was a bit pricey for Bali.

It was just perfect for what I needed, which was a total getaway to feel close to the ocean

Massvis med djur vid toan, vilken förvarnades efter bokningen bekräftats, men när vi såg massor av råttor fick det vara nog. Även rummet och badrummet luktade väldigt illa.

The smell. There was a constant stench of waste. It smells like sewage in our room. The water from the taps also smelt.

The view was beautiful. Can’t fault that at all.

When they opened out for to our room it smelt of mould and damp. And did for the entire stay. Really disappointing to have spent so much money to stay here to be sleeping in damp smelly conditions

View was amazing. Think you need to explain the stairs before the booking, not only on the confirmation. Room needs an upgrade, cleanliness not great. Poor that the resturant runs out of stock for more than half of the options on the menu after lunch and for dinner

Whatsapp to order roomservice they forgot us. When you try to order food most things unavailable however if you walk down to Dreamsea Restaurant it was fabulous!

The location was incredible and I loved how we could open the doors and be practically in the water.

Obviously the trek down the stairs was a lot but we were fairly warned of this. There was a sewerage smell that was quite strong.

Le Cliff is a perfect choice for a young couple for a couple of days. Just in front of Padang Padang surf spot, and even for those that do not surf, the view is amazing.

I would not recommend for elder couples because of the 200+ stair access and also not for solo female travelers now as there as some constructions nearby and it is super dark at night. Solo female traveler with a motorbike is better, as there is always someone on the parking lot above the cliff, after this dark street with constructions. I would also not recommend long stays because the 200+ steps will get you bored of going in and out more than once a day. Up to 4 days is perfect! Not recommend bringing big bags too, although there is a porter to help you with your bags (please give them a good tip!)

The views were breathtaking and the property was well managed. The staff went above and beyond to provide a comfortable stay for us.

Veel influencers, drones, iedereen komt er om foto’s van zichzelf te maken. Zelfs mensen die op ons balkon gingen staan om zichzelf te fotograferen.

Le Cliff hatte einfach eine außergewöhnlich schöne Lage und morgens im Restaurant bei Wellen Rauschen das Frühstück zu genießen war einfach traumhaft.

Unser Zimmer hatte am Eingang leider etwas modrig gerochen.

The staff were good, good service and warm.

Location is average.. felt like we were hiking up and down the stairs to get to our room. Felt like a maze. I had a caterpillar crawling on bathroom floor while showering. Not worth the money for me.

Great location. Great staff. Amazing sunsets. Can walk to Padang Beach. Get friendly visits from Monkeys. Room service in the cliff rooms. Good workout hiking up and down the cliff stairs daily. Keeps the bintang calories reduced.

The views and the hotel design was very nice and unique

The ocean view is amazing. Location is great - down the stairs and you're on the beach. The restaurant is great and the staff is friendly and well organized. AC in the room works well and is quiet.

Be aware of 2 things. First, the access is from a tall staircase so not suitable for physically unfit people. Secondly, do not leave your belongings on the balcony because monkeys may appear in your balcony.

Nous n’avions pas vu avant de réserver qu’il fallait descendre environ 250 marches pour arriver à l’hôtel quel déception en arrivant . C’est toute une expédition quand il faut sortir de l’hôtel il faut être motivé. Rapport qualité prix pas ouf pour uluwatu cher. Il faut rien laisser sur le balcon à cause des singes donc pas pratique je recommande pas

It’s not for everyone, the access is pretty hard, the rooms are a bit musty you are kind of hanging on a cliff in the jungle.

Just the view

The view from the room is exceptional. The stairs getting in and out are a something to take note of not for anyone that is not physically fit, the porters deserve so much praise as they carry luggage to and from the room, they are truly amazing. The room was a bit of a shock from what is online to what you walk into but once settled in we knew the view could not be beat, and a fantastic place to switch off, relax and just really take in all the beauty. We were let down that the day bed was not up to what was online.. that was a real driver why we booked this place visualising sitting out in the sun reading with the views to find it stored away, wet, dirty and not inviting to sit on. The restaurant was fantastic and really handy not wanting to walk up and down the stairs to go into the main strip each night. Low tide walking along the beach is a dream and the sunset from the room, restaurant and beach was a real highlight of the stay. Highly recommend staying to experience the beauty of Le Cliff.

Day bed, More bedding not just a sheet on the bed. The stairs although know you can't help this take it as an opportunity to get a bit of cardio in for your holiday.

I honestly don’t know where to start, or who the people are that rated this place so highly. If we’re talking purely about the view, then yes — it’s a 10/10. The ocean right beneath the hotel is absolutely breathtaking and the scenery is stunning. But apart from the view, my experience was extremely disappointing. You have to climb around 270 stairs to reach the property, and for the amount charged, you could easily stay in a comfortable 4-star hotel elsewhere, we had paid 5.5 million IDR for this property . If you’re willing to sacrifice basic comfort just for a view, then this place might be for you. We cancelled part of our Nusa Penida trip and made a last-minute booking at Le Cliff. Our first Deluxe Room was terrible — extremely small, suffocating, outdated, and it had an old smell that made the stay uncomfortable. I genuinely hated the room. The next day we were moved to another room, which was definitely better than the first one, but the property still needs major improvements. The building quality is poor; you can hear every movement from the rooms above, which becomes very disturbing when you’re trying to relax or sleep. The staff can do what is in their capabilities, and I was surprised that breakfast was not included despite the high room rate. At this price point, that felt unreasonable. The only real positive, apart from the incredible view, is the porter. The amount of hard work he does carrying luggage up and down those 270 stairs is remarkable, and he deserves a special mention and appreciation. Unfortunately, the stunning ocean view was not enough to make up for the lack of comfort, poor room quality, noise issues, and overall value for money. I absolutely loved the view, but disliked almost everything else. Also important note - While booking from agoda, i had requested a late check out request and the property messaged me that check out from 11.00 am to 2.00 pm is a 30% cost of the booking amount where as the check out policy is at 12.00 am.

View was absolutely unique (had an apartment) Could have just sit there and watched forever. Cozy bed, good AC. Nice kitchen. Staff was super lovely and helpful, they really do an amazing job! Also helped me when I had a problem with my phone. Was really happy to have them around & will definitely come back again.

Food could be better. Asked 2 times for not spicy and it was still super spicy :/ -people complain about the stairs but actually they’re to manage even if you make breaks, it’s no problem. But the monkeys are a bit scary, but I don’t know how the hotel can fix that, not their fault. But as a solo travelled woman I had some scary situations with them & felt uncomfortable. -there was a hole in the entrance door, that needs to be fixed, otherwise too many animals can come in.

A wild amount of stairs even though we knew about it and we had huge luggage 😂 my fault.. Incredible location with the ocean but extremely loud when there’s swell , the rooms you can hear quite a lot including people above us. Rooms are small so perfect of you don’t have much luggage. Insane location, beautiful, nice staff and good food.

The room was very basic, small , the curtain covering the bed did not look good, there could have been more to elevate the room and make the stay special. The stairs were taxing but I guess the views at the bottom of the stairs makes up for it.

Der Weg zur Unterkunft führt erst über eine dauerhaft Abwasser überflutete Straße und dann 200 Treppen in die Tiefe. Kann recht unangenehm sein Das Personal könnte freundlicher sein Der Balkon ist dank der Affen tagsüber fast nicht nutzbar

beautiful hotel on the cliff, the rooms literally overlook the ocean. I have stayed here a few times now. getting down to the hotel does require walking several sets of steps, so not suitable for anyone with walking issues, but it is well worth the effort, as waking up to the sound of the ocean is just a treat

Unbelievable location, with crashing waves at your feet and views to astound. Surfer watching from your room is addictive. MUST be fit to access this place. The stairs are no joke, and there's no shade until you get to the building. The beach is swimmable when calm, either tide is ok, but best would be high tide as the rocks in the shallows are slippery. Room very cute (seaside bleached rustic) with an excellent full coverage mosquito net in perfect condition, over a bed with a wonderfully firm mattress. Slept well. Room was clean but had a disgusting chemical smell which I couldn't figure out if it was an anti mildew treatment (we'd just finished a record wet season) or an insecticide. Two room deodorizers smelled fine, so it was something sprayed or embedded. Glad I didn't have to smell it one more day. We had a room with large terrace and that was fabulous, though the waterproof (vinyl) chaise longue's on the deck were so uninviting, I didn't even sit there. Used the little rattan outdoor dining chairs instead. Good working fridge. Good safe, accessed by guest using a key (no batteries for the electronic combo lock function). The staff were lovely and friendly and helpful and DO send for porters if you WhatsApp the front desk ahead of time. There's enough parking at the top of the stairs but in high season? Not sure if it's enough. Non hotel guests are supposed to park in a paid lot adjacent. But one thing: the staff in the grubby kitchen area were feeding the monkeys. Terrible practice. It juust encourages the little thieves. We ordered breakfast but it was inedible (old oil? I just about gagged on my eggs). But at leasst you do get actual Bali coffee, not Nescafe. You're paying for the location. But I do appreciate the clean and comfortable room. I would come again, but I'd eat up top on the road someplace.

Op een klif, perfect uitzicht, leuk stil strand erbij, heerlijk terras om wat te ontbijten of eten. En er kwamen echt apen langs op het balkon wat het natuurlijk een avontuur maakte. Een van de mooiste plekken op deze vakantie. Is meer natural plek dus de schijfdeuren van de kamers sluiten niet helemaal en met storm en regen (regenseizoen) heb je maximaal beleving, daar moet je natuurlijk van houden.

Niks, was perfect. Gewoon genoten van ieder moment. Ben ook wat langer gebleven dan gepland.

We had some issues with the AC, but the staff was always there to help us as quickly as they could.

the view was clearly the selling point! having the ocean as the first thing you see when you wake up is an unmatched feeling. the staff was lovely, very helpful and always available! i had a problem in my room and it got solved in 3min. i did not even mind the stairs to go to the property, thanks to the view, and they have carriers to carry your bags up or down the stairs.
