I had the most wonderful stay at the Argyle! Nadan, Vithu and the entire team provided a fantastic experience. From arranging a last minute visit to a tea estate, transport and also a relaxing massage at the hotel spa. The hotel is spotlessly clean with modern facilities and the rooms are large, comfortable and have an absolutely stunning view out over Hatton. I can not recommend this property more highly and will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay that was smooth from start to finish. Staff were friendly and efficient truly standing out compared to other hotels we have stayed. A huge thank you to the management for surprising us with an upgrade from our Junior suite to their executive suite with half board. We appreciate this kind gesture. Room was spotless, modern and had the most amazing panoramic views of the mountains. Food was top notch. Special kudos to the Front office Manager Janarthan, Assistant F & B Manager Imran Abbas, Sri Kanth in the restaurent and the staff member who guided us to the room ( sorry forgot his name) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Wish we stayed here for few more days. Will certainly come back. Highly recommended.

Ein echtes 5-Sterne-Erlebnis – und das hat man während des gesamten Aufenthalts gemerkt. Wir hatten uns kurz zuvor verlobt und wurden vom Hotel unglaublich herzlich und liebevoll willkommen geheißen. Das gesamte Personal war außergewöhnlich zuvorkommend, professionell und freundlich. Man merkt einfach die Erfahrung und dass hier der Gast wirklich im Mittelpunkt steht. Auch kulinarisch war der Aufenthalt ein Highlight. Sowohl das Frühstück als auch das Abendessen waren hervorragend. Unbedingt das Paratha probieren – für uns war es das beste, das wir während unserer gesamten Sri-Lanka-Reise gegessen haben! Auch der Wellnessbereich hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Sowohl die Massage als auch das Facial waren hervorragend. Besonders in Erinnerung bleiben uns aber die vielen kleinen Gesten: Auf unseren Wunsch wurden extra Kokosnüsse aus dem Nachbarort für uns organisiert, worüber wir uns unglaublich gefreut haben. Für unsere sechsstündige Fahrt zum Flughafen wurden uns zum Abschied sogar Take-away-Pakete vorbereitet. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Vithu, der sich während unseres Aufenthalts wirklich großartig um uns gekümmert hat. Genau solche Menschen und Aufmerksamkeiten haben unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht.

Es gibt tatsächlich nichts, was uns negativ aufgefallen ist. Wir haben uns vom ersten bis zum letzten Moment rundum wohl und bestens umsorgt gefühlt.

Fantastic location looking out over tea plantations. All the comforts of a luxury hotel, but on a small, friendly scale. Great buffet spreads and very attentive staff. Thankyou to Nadan, Arusha, Ravindu, Tanya and Budha for making our stay so memorable - despite the weather!

The Staff was amazing. They were all very friendly and generous. Shiva is a genius with the Phone Camera. While you are there , do take the opportunity to have him click some pictures around the property. Trust me you will not be disappointed

The property is 1.5 hours from Nuwara Eliya and there isn't much to do around. So you will have to make the 3 hour round trip to the town to see the tourist destinations

Vanaf het moment dat je binnen komt voel je je welkom! Ontzettende fijne ontvangst door een dame die perfect engels spreekt. Heerlijk kopje kaneelthee als welkomstdrankje met een stukje snoep erbij. Dan de kamer: prachtig! Schoon, ruim en netjes. Adapters zijn te verkrijgen bij de receptie. Op de kamer lagen heerlijke koekjes klaar. Uitzicht vanuit de kamer is magnifiek, Op het zwembad en de bergen. Het hotel is echt een boutique hotel, weinig kamers dit voelt meteen luxe. Het heeft een gezellige bar waar je kunt poolen. We hebben in de avond in het hotel gegeten. Je kunt a la carte eten maar ook buffet. Wij hebben a la carte gegeten en daar hadden we geen spijt van. Heerlijk! Het ontbijtbuffet was het beste buffet wat wij tot nu toe gehad hebben. Veel keuze, vers. Je kunt je ei laten bakken hoe je wilt maar ook verse egg hoppers laten maken. Er waren diverse warme en koude gerechten en gebak. Bij het uitchecken nog een presentje gekregen. Dit was by far het beste hotel in Sri Lanka. Het personeel weet wat hospitality is en vreselijk lief is. Ps. Ook de wifi is overal goed!

I travel quite often and have stayed at many hotels, but I’ve never experienced such a consistently high standard of hospitality across an entire hotel. It was truly exceptional. 👏 It’s incredibly rare to find a place where the same level of kindness, warmth, professionalism, and genuine care is reflected across every department. Whether it was the reception team, concierge, housekeeping, the spa, the restaurant, the café, or the luggage attendants, every interaction reflected that same exceptional standard of hospitality. That level of consistency is a reflection of outstanding leadership and a culture that clearly puts guests first. The location is also excellent, with incredible views. Highly recommended!

The breakfast was authentic. The options were aplenty and the food was extremely delicious, homely and served with lot of warmth and courteousness. The property is as beautiful as shown in the pictures on the site.

The lighting in the room could have been better, however the hotel staff acted upon the feedback immediately and changed the lights making it brighter and lively.

Argyle is truly such a stunning location and the staff were so kind and warm. Truly such a fabulous and rewarding experience to be able to show my parents. We had a truly fabulous stay at Argyle Resort and cannot recommend it highly enough. After a long journey from Negombo through the breathtaking scenery of Sri Lanka’s hill country, we arrived at this incredible oasis tucked away in the hills of Hatton, surrounded by lush greenery and the fresh aroma of tea plantations. From the very first moment, the experience was exceptional. We were warmly greeted by the entire staff and honestly did not know how to respond to such genuine kindness, hospitality, and friendliness. We travel frequently and have stayed in many hotels around the world, but we have never experienced such a heartfelt welcome before. To make our stay even more special, we were generously upgraded upon arrival. The rooms are beautifully designed, extremely comfortable, with wonderfully cozy beds and spacious bathrooms that made it so easy to relax after our travels. Everything about this resort feels peaceful, elegant, and personal. The stunning surroundings, attentive service, and warm atmosphere created an unforgettable experience for us. Thank you to the entire Argyle team for making us feel so welcomed and cared for. We will certainly remember this stay for a very long time.

This is the best hotel we have been to so far in sri lanka. Everything is basically amazing including the staff. I‘m sri lankan and my girlfriend is German and this hotel made our stay memorable. Many thanks to Mr. Nilantha for giving us a good experience. Nadan is an amazing manager. Rushanthi made sure our stay was without any problem. She deserves a promotion. Chef tharaka and Yoga‘s meals are next level super. Srikanth also made sure everything in our vacation went smoothly. Also thanks to Shiva for helping us whenever we needed. When we come back to Sri Lanka again we will definitely come here again

Staying in that incredible Hotel , surrounded by that idyllic tranquil green tea plantations was a superb experience. ALL ( and I mean EACH single member of that hotel team ) was a fantastic host. It’s such a lovely heartwarming and professionally working team high up in the mountains of Hatton. The pool is superclean and warmed up, the sunbeds always prepared with a towel ( even after the rain , it got dried up quickly again and again ) It’s like heaven , to swim in that warm water , when another rainshower shows up. The greens , the garden is maintained every day and every where you can see flowers blooming. The cleaning team is all day long busy to “make the things shining” . The front desk team is professional, quickly working and doing all the best to fulfill all your wishes. I had also a wonderful massage in the SPA, which is very recommendable. Last but not least, I definitely want to mention the fantastic service in the restaurant , which is serving that extraordinary delicious and fresh food of the kitchen. Thank you soooo soooo much !! It was definitely the best choice of a hotel in my 3 weeks of travelling through Sri Lanka.

Our stay at The Argyle Hotel was absolutely wonderful. The staff were so attentive and kind and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was incredible and we were very kindly upgraded for the night which was such a lovely surprise. The attention to detail really stood out including a thoughtful takeaway lunch for the day we left. A special thank you to Vithu who welcomed us with open arms. The heated pool was beautifully clean, the interior was lovely, and the drinks were great. We would absolutely love to return.

We had a fantastic stay at Argyle Boutique Luxury Hotel. Since we entered the hotel until we left, Rushi took great care of us and made sure everything was perfect. All the staff were incredibly friendly and always smiling. The attention to detail really stood out; we loved the delicious tea on arrival and the biscuits waiting in the room. The bed was very comfortable. The food was great. We had dinner once from the à la carte menu and another night from the buffet, and both were great in terms of variety and quality. Breakfast was also very good. We also appreciated that the hotel listens to guest feedback — for example, they provide now refillable free water bottles in the room and the gym has A/C, which makes a big difference. The QR codes for the little hikes around the tea plantations were great for a slow morning. Ps: the pool was perfect size, specially given that is heated. We enjoyed it so much at sunset time! Overall, a wonderful and very comfortable stay. We highly recommend it. Thank you Argyle team!

Hatton is a tranquil haven away from the bustle of popular tourist destinations and this hotel is perched at the top of a valley and was peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed top class service from all staff we encountered but a particular shout out to Rishi in reception who was patient informative and helpful. We appreciated a room and meal deal upgrade. Outside pool area was very pleasant, buffet food was very comprehensive and offered lots of variety. We tended to choose Sri Lankan options and I couldn’t fault them. We enjoyed a 5km hike from the hotel which took in a local cricket match, villages and the tea plantation

Además, en sus instalaciones cuentan con una zona de bar, restaurante y jardines con una piscina que, encima, tienen climatizada. La temperatura del lugar y las vistas son INCREÍBLES. El personal es encantador, atento y educado. Utilizaron nuestros nombres en todo momento. Nuestro inglés no es el mejor y en todo momento han tratado de hacernos sentir cómodos. No ha faltado detalle! Recomendamos 100% vivir la experiencia y alojarte en este encantador lugar. Destacar la amabilidad de Rushanthi que nos ha hecho la estancia aún mejor.

Por sacar alguna pega, el acceso al hotel es largo y lleno de curvas, pero merece la pena.

Von der Begrüßung angefangen, bis zum Check Out. Man kann sofort mit dem Urlaub beginnen. Mr Udaya, stellvertretend für alle Mitarbeiter, hat sich zu jederzeit bemüht uns den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Das Frühstück ist alla Cart - ich empfehle sich die Dinge zu teilen. Es ist sonst einfach zu viel - klagen auf hohem Niveau. Das Abendessen, stets 4 Gänge, bietet jedem Geschmack was passendes! Man kann zwischen 4-5 Hauptgerichten wählen und 3 Dessert. Da ich zufällig auch noch meinen Geburtstag dort verbracht habe, gab es nicht nur eine Kuchen… sondern auch ein kleines Geschenk und eine von allen unterschriebenen Karte. An dem Tag haben wir auch die 150 min Massage als Pärchenvariante gebucht…. 10/10 Punkte! Wir danken für diese tolle Zeit! Es war genau der perfekte Abschluss den wir uns erhofft haben!

A very beautiful hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. Special thanks to Vithu and Srikanth, who took wonderful care of us. The view over the tea plantations is stunning, and the area is great for hiking. The food buffet is amazing for breakfast and dinner. The hotel organized a night transfer to Adam’s Peak and prepared a breakfast box for us. We took a tuk-tuk at 2 a.m., which waited for us while we climbed the mountain and brought us back to the hotel at around 10 a.m. The total price was 15,000 LKR.

Wir kamen mitten auf unserer Reise durch Sri Lanka im Argyle Boutique Hotel an und es war einfach perfekt. Von dem Moment an, als wir durch die Tür traten, fühlten wir uns willkommen und wurden vom sehr freundlichen Personal sehr gut betreut. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir mit einer leckeren Tasse Tee begrüßt, während wir über die Herkunft des Hotelnamens und alle Aktivitäten, die während unseres Aufenthalts angeboten wurden, informiert wurden. Unser Zimmer war geräumig und die Aussicht vom Balkon auf den Adam's Peak beeindruckend – was wir allerdings erst am zweiten Tag feststellen konnten, als es weniger bewölkt war. Wir haben die Zeit am und im beheizten Pool sehr genossen. Was uns besonders gut gefallen hat, war, dass wir bei offenem Fenster statt mit Klimaanlage schlafen konnten, da das Klima angenehm war und weder Affen noch Mücken in der Nähe waren und die Gegend im Vergleich zu den Städten sehr ruhig ist. Da wir uns so gut entspannen konnten, verlängerten wir unseren Aufenthalt um eine Nacht, wobei das Personal sehr hilfsbereit war und dafür sorgte, dass wir einen sehr guten Preis bekamen und im gleichen Zimmer bleiben konnten. Das Frühstücksbuffet bestand aus einer großen Auswahl an lokalen Speisen (scharf und nur leicht scharf) und internationalen Optionen und wechselte jeden Tag, sodass man noch mehr probieren konnte. Zum Abendessen gab es ein Vier-Gänge-Menü, bei dem man immer zwischen einem lokalen Hauptgericht oder einer weniger scharfen Option wie gegrilltem Fisch oder Hähnchen wählen konnte. Insgesamt war das Essen köstlich und wir haben während unseres Aufenthalts wahrscheinlich zu viel gegessen. Das gesamte F&B-Personal (Srikanth, Udaya, Priya und Prashanth) war sehr professionell, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben auch drei Spa-Behandlungen gebucht welche sehr gut waren. Danke an Vithu und Shiva, dass sie uns alle Wünschen von den Augen abgelesen haben.

We really liked our stay here, the pool was heated so our kid neve wanted to get out. The staff were extremely nice and attentive always going the extra mile for us. The place is so peaceful and view is amazing.

The hotel is actually a 4 Star property and not 5 Star as mentioned. Hence naturally the quality is a notch lower. The rooms, pool and gym are quite small. There aren’t any hand towels in the bathroom. Etc etc. Overall the value for the $$$ spent is low

Uns wurden sogar Zugtickets organisiert- Shiva und das ganze Team haben sich enorm ins Zeug gelegt- wir hatten ein wunderbares Weihnachtsdinner und fühlten uns sehr. Direkt beim Hotel startet ein wunderschöner Weg mitten durch die Teeplanzageb- ein Traum… Top Empfehlung!!!

Needs more maintenance

We had a wonderful stay at The Argyle, and it was one of the highlights of our time in Sri Lanka. The hotel is set in a beautiful location surrounded by rolling tea fields, with lovely views and a real sense of calm. The building itself is elegant and well designed, and the heated outdoor pool is a real treat. We loved being able to walk around the surrounding area and take in the scenery and peaceful atmosphere. It is the perfect place to slow down and relax. What truly sets The Argyle apart is the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A special thank you to Shiva and Sudharshan, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We felt very spoilt with thoughtful extras and upgrades, which made the experience even more special. The spa massage was excellent and well worth it, particularly after a day of travelling. The food at the restaurant was very nice, and once again the service stood out, with Prasanth providing warm and attentive care throughout our meals. Overall, The Argyle is a beautiful and relaxing retreat with outstanding hospitality. We would highly recommend it and would happily stay again.

We spent 3 nights in Argyle hotel. The hotel staffs gave us a very warm welcome. Check in was smooth and quick. On the second day, we received upgrade: a lager room and dinner inclusive. ( We have booked a room with breakfast only). The breakfast was served buffet style. They have foods for the local taste and also western style. Dinner was served a la carte. The food was delicious. The staffs are so friendly, patient and helpful, especially Mr. Vital and Mr. Shiva. They gave us a lot of information. Mr. Vital helped us to book our excursion. The hotel was very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Aufgrund der Unwetter waren wir unsicher, ob wir nach Hatton kommen sollen, aber die Anreise ging absolut unproblematisch. This hotel feels like a peaceful little slice of paradise, tucked away with stunning views of Adam’s Peak. From the moment we walked in, everything just felt right. The rooms were spotless and super cozy—you could tell they really cared about making sure guests were comfortable. We spent hours just soaking in the heated pool, and for the more adventurous, the bikes and hiking trails were perfect. What made this place truly unforgettable was the staff , starting from the reception, restaurant to the pool attendant they were superb. Rushanthani and Nadan especially stood out—not just friendly, but genuinely kind and thoughtful. They upgraded our rooms and our meal plan without us asking, which was such a lovely surprise. When it was time to leave, they even packed snacks for our journey—little things like that show how much they care.Honestly, one night just isn’t enough to take everything in and really enjoy all this hotel has to offer. If you can, stay at least two nights—you won’t regret it. I’m already looking forward to coming back one day to this warm, welcoming place and its amazing people. Kudos to the hotel management

Perfect experience as the last night in Sri Lanka. The hotel is located in a large tea garden only with 39 rooms, next to a local village, a quiet place with great tea garden view and full of fresh air. The hotel has designed several hiking path for the guest, worth to try. The staff here is extremely friendly and considerate. They almost thought about everything I needed during my stay. The quality of the service here is impressive.

Lo staff si è dimostrato incredibilmente cordiale, professionale e sempre pronto a venire incontro a ogni nostra esigenza: in particolare ci hanno offerto una cena deliziosa e ci hanno supportato con consigli preziosi per organizzare al meglio le nostre giornate. È stato possibile anche fare splendide passeggiate tra le piantagioni di tè grazie agli itinerari personalizzati e alle mappe che l’hotel ci ha fornito. La struttura offre davvero tutto quello che si può desiderare: una splendida piscina esterna riscaldata con vista, una palestra ben attrezzata, tavolo da biliardo, due bar, la spa e un ristorante eccellente sia a cena che a colazione. Consigliatissimo per chi cerca un mix perfetto tra lusso, natura e ospitalità impeccabile. Senza dubbio uno degli hotel più belli che abbiamo trovato durante il nostro viaggio in Sri Lanka.

Nestled in what felt like the "heart of heaven," The Argyle Luxury Boutique Hotel provided a truly unique and wonderful escape. From the moment we arrived, a lush, verdant entrance welcomed us, leading to an unforgettable reception. Our gracious hosts, who were already prepared for our arrival, greeted us with warm smiles and an incredible surprise—a complimentary upgrade from our superior room to the hotel's most spacious suite, along with a free upgrade to a half-board booking that included a fully paid dinner. ​The hotel's ambiance was one of pure elegance and luxury. Every detail, from the stylish furnishings and abundant greenery to the fresh citrus scent that filled the air, was meticulously curated and absolutely breathtaking. The genuine care and joyful guidance from the staff made us feel not just like guests, but like welcomed friends. ​Our Suite and the Hotel Grounds ​Our suite was simply fabulous. It was a spacious and beautifully decorated sanctuary, where every detail had been carefully considered. The room's design embraced the surrounding nature, with green views from every window that paired with a cool breeze to truly enrich our souls. The suite included a full bar, a large, well-maintained bathroom, two balconies with seating areas, and a luxurious lounge with a large smart TV. ​The bed was a dream of comfort, and even the mosquito net was so elegantly designed that it blended seamlessly into the decor. An extra bed provided for our daughter was just as comfortable, and the bathroom was fully stocked with robes, slippers, and all the necessary toiletries. The rain shower, with its strong water pressure and warm water, made every wash a refreshing experience. Thoughtful touches like an iron, an umbrella, and an electric room warmer were also provided, showing the staff's dedication to our comfort. ​Stepping outside the suite, we found a huge lobby with multiple indoor seating areas and shaded outdoor spaces.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable stay at The Argyle Hotel for my best friend’s 60th! Rushi went above and beyond — room upgrade, spa bookings, balloons, birthday cake, gift, and card — every detail was perfect. Suresh’s cookery class was brilliant, and thanks to Mr Vithu, Jana, and the whole team. We loved the billiards room, spa, amazing food, and our stunning suite. Stayed 13–14 August — pure magic!

It rained the entire time but thanks to the entire team even the weather did not get us down

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Argyle. The staff in all departments were incredibly helpful and attentive, especially Dilshan, Nayomi, Guna and Imran in the bar and restaurant. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a lovely stay. The hotel was also very helpful in organising transport and excursions.

The gym needs a massive upgrade. The equipment is outdated and it is a small space with no air conditioning. Given the size of the hotel and high standard of the other facilities, it does not match these.

Overall it was a good stay. Front reception staff were very experienced and organized in checking in our large group into the hotel. The hotel facilities are kept in good condition. I think the cleanliness of the rooms could have improved considering the 5 star allocation to the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and willing to help. Food was okay, however there are not many options in the area so the hotel food may have been the best in the area.

A fantastic property and I was lucky to get a room upgrade as well. The food on the property is good and staff are absolutely wonderful.

It’s a little isolated but the views more than make up for that.

Excellent facilities with plenty of things to do (swimming pool, karaoke, pool table, walk, other sports) The whole staff is amazing, Rushanti and her team are very attentive to our needs. We came for a special occasion, they upgraded our room and made our stay very special. The rooms are nice and well equiped.

The staff went above and beyond to make us welcome and to accommodate our needs both requested (e.g. kindly helping me put on a saree for a wedding) and unprompted (e.g. having lunch for us ready when we missed the breakfast cutoff time after climbing Adam’s Peak). We didn’t get to try all the experiences offered but thoroughly enjoyed the massage and cooking class. Special thanks to Vithu for looking out for us, but every staff member from housekeeping, restaurant and reception have made our experience at Argyle and Hatton memorable. Highly recommended.

We loved the beautiful hotel. The hospitality we got from each and every person in the hotel. Got a free upgrade of the room. The dinner each night for us was free. The activities we did like cooking, massage, etc was really well organised. I had my husbands birthday and the hotel manager and their staff did all the celebrations to make my husband feel important. I so sincerely want to thank Mr. Nadhan; Mr Vithu; Mr Dimuthu urf Chamuth; Ms Rushi; Ms Umanga; Mr Shiva; dear Avisheka; Mr Srikanth; Mr Tharaka; Mr Maneth for making each and every day special for us.
