Nice staff, they offer lunch and dinner
Damp area with lack of AC
The location was beautifuk with views overlooking the tea plantations. The staff were very helpful. As a family of 5 travelling around Sri Lanka it was a great base. The Peako trail was stunning and is a must to do there. The food was also really good.
A really lovely place to stay but what made it stand out were the wonderful staff.

We loved the spectacular view from our room, the beautiful location, the amazing breakfasts and dinners and the lovely staff who were caring and attentive to all our needs. Especial thanks to Roshan and Anjana who are so lovely and helpful. We were able to walk and enjoy the serene vistas of the hill country from here.
Nothing to complain about. Hopefully the access road to the hotel will be repaired before our next visit.
This place was truly the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka! We were two families traveling with two 10-year-old children, and all of us were incredibly impressed by the warm hospitality of the manager and his wonderful team. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. The manager kindly asked what we would like for breakfast and dinner and made sure all our wishes were fulfilled. The food was always fresh and delicious. He also personally showed us around the tea plantation, explaining the local culture and way of life, which made our stay even more special and authentic. We had two rooms with a fantastic view over the tea plantation and waking up to that scenery was simply unforgettable. If you choose to stay here, we highly recommend asking the manager to arrange a driver named Romesh. He picked us up at Colombo Airport, stayed with us during our time there, and then drove us to Yala National Park. During our trip through Sri Lanka, we had several drivers, but Romesh was by far the best. He was professional, kind, reliable, and made us feel safe at all times. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back again!
Scenic view
Road access was not much good
Mooie lokatie tussen de theeplantages.
Location was beautiful
We loved the staff, the beautiful location and the peacefulness
We didn’t like the very humid room and the bathroom finishes could use some update.
Breathtaking view of tea fields
Set in a tea plantation it had great views from the balcony Listening to nature. & the workers it was very peaceful Anjana - the manager & Jack of Traded was so pleasant & very helpful. Makes a great chicken curry!!
All good
Personale molto gentile
Stayed there for 4 nights recently. The views at the property are fantastic and the highlight of our stay. Friendly staff, decent food considering that there isn't much available in town.
It's not a proper hotel which we might have misunderstood. It's more like a BnB type of accommodation. Our room was not cleaned for the first two days even if we asked for it and was never cleaned for the 4 days, though we were asked about it on the third day. There were often communication issues but we understood that we shouldn't expect much. There was not an exhaust fan in the shower and when I opened the windows to vent the bugs came in. The room is fairly small for two people. The location of the property is a bit far from town and on a steep hill which makes access to tuk tuk and cars a bit strenuous.
We stayed 1 night at Harrington Heritage but we wished we could have stayed more. This small hotel is located in the middle of tea plantations and the view from the balcony of the Family room was stunning. It is such a peaceful environment, perfect to get away from the crowd and relax. The family room was confortable, the shower had hot water. The room decoration is a bit outdated but it was very clean and the view was perfect. The staff is absolutely wonderful, communication by what's app before our arrival was always very smooth and they were welcoming and kind once we were there.. They organized car transfers for us and an E-bike tour of tea plantations while we were there. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast there. It was all perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Unser Aufenthalt war einfach super! Die Aussicht war wunderschön. Das Personal freundlich, hilfsbereit und herzlich. Wir haben uns richtig wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Das Essen wär ausserdem sehr gut.
The hotel, set amongst the tea plantations was both interesting and relaxing with great views of the distant mountains. It is a little off the beaten track yet well worth a visit and we enjoyed spotting the bird life around the property. The staff were all very friendly and obliging and we all felt rested after our stay. The meals served in the restaurant were authentic Sri Lankan cuisine and good value for money.
There were two highlights of our stay here- the staff and the view. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special as part of our honeymoon. They were helpful with all enquiries and make a delicious (although huge) breakfast. We stayed in one of the rooms which is essentially a container on stilts and the room was compact but the view of the tea plantations and Adam’s peak was stunning.
The room was small and quite basic. You’re paying for the view.
Second time visiting, thank you Anjana and the team
The people / staff were the best. The manager Anjana was on top of all requests and made sure we had everything we needed for a great experience. Example, we needed to coordinate a day use car with driver for an abseiling experience and Anjana sorted that within a days notice! The food was amazing! Worth getting up in time for breakfast and we ordered dinner both nights! Great views and relaxing vibe.
The road there is not properly paved, and the wifi could be better.
location is very nice to visit. morning view is fascinating..!
extra 10% service charge added for the final bill without telling until final movement.
Great view - hotel nestled in a tea estate at an elevation providing panoramic view of misty hills – including Adam’s Peak. Staff very attentive and customer oriented. We tried their local ( breakfast) and western dishes ( dinner), which were both tasty and adequately portioned. Rooms and Linen – freshly washed and clean and a quick peek inside kitchen revealed surprisingly clean environment! Something rare in this part of world.
Access Road is little steep and eroded at places but our vehicle managed it comfortably. Hotel has installed solar street lights on the common access road as a CSR which allows safe stroll in the evening. Kudos to them.
Humble staff ready to help all the time. Tried local menu . spicy but tasty. Picturesque view. Great hiking potential. Famous Pekoe trail is closeby, I am told. Quiet cosy place. We thought place is near Nuwara eliya but surprisingly it provides the similar climes without the hustle and bustle. Railway station is 5 mins by trishaw.
We would have liked to stay another night but our schedule is packed.
Great view and balcony
Cheap materials used, heard neightbours through wall. Place has better days. Food absolutely low standard.
Service - 10/10 View - 10/10 Food - 6/10
Location - getting to this hotel is very difficult. It's a steep incline and many vehicle struggle to get up there and approach road is very bad. Have a hired vehicle ready before you get here otherwise there is nothing available near hotel for transport. This is 40 km from Nuwara elliya and one way cost is 6000 Lkr to get to town.
Staff mainly Mr Anjana. Food. Location.
Nothing
Amazing views and really friendly staff. Amazing food!
It was a bit dirty (specially the bathroom)
Staffed were very friendly and so helpful. Location itself is very very beautiful
Nothing major but it’s just the road to get to the hotel as it’s very steep
Very nice located in the middle of the tea fields. The was always friendly and very accommodating. We had a great stay!
Lovely, relaxing one night stay. The views are incredible. Our host was very welcoming, kind and attentive. We had a very comfortable stay and had space to relax. Great nights sleep in one of the in house rooms which had a balcony from which we watched the misty morning light over the tea plantations. Enjoyed walking around the tea plantations straight from the room and watching local children play cricket. We had dinner and breakfast which were both very good. Highly recommended for a short, relaxing stay.
There's no to like
They charged extra interest, 3.5% more when I paid by a credit card. But there was no any mentioning at the booking.com when I booked
Fantastisk udsigt over the marker og bjerge. Meget serviceminded og venligt personale. Det er derfor, vi stadig svinger os op på hele 2 stjerner.

It is a nice, calm and quite place with a breathtaking view. Anjana and team were really helpful making the stay memorable for all the guests. All the room amenities were perfect... Rooms were spacious with an amazing view of the misty mountains and tea plantations...
I love the nature surrounded by our charlet. It was among tea plants and the path to the main building gave a different experience. The staff was super friendly and authentic. Some of them are from the vicinity . The food is excellent and homey.
Nothing much to complain. I prefer a bigger swimming pool and a bit more spacious bed room with more curtains as the brightness of the room couldn't control by ourself in the day time.
Meal was good. Staff were very friendly and very much accommodative.
Yes always room to improve.
My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Harrington Heritage, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. First and foremost, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our entire stay. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The reception staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, and their flexibility made our stay stress-free and enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional level of cleanliness maintained throughout the hotel. Our room was spotless upon arrival, with fresh linens, towels, and a pleasant aroma indicating thorough cleaning. It was evident that the housekeeping staff took great pride in their work, and their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Moreover, the hotel's dining options exceeded our expectations. The food served was not only delicious but also diverse and of high quality. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast spread, which offered a variety of options to suit all tastes and dietary preferences. The restaurant staff were attentive and accommodating, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a satisfying dining experience. In addition to the excellent service and amenities, the location was convenient and accessible, making it easy for us to explore the surrounding area and attractions. Overall, our stay at Harrington surpassed all expectations, thanks to the exceptional service, cleanliness, and dining experience provided by the staff. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay.
Well maintained property with a picturesque surrounding. Friendly staff with high quality service.
It would be better if the property have well maintained entrance(road) and ample parking.
It’s a simple. Tranquil place. Peaceful surroundings.
Clean. Nice arranged. Not very cozy but good enough for a nice holiday stay.
Great place to stay amidst the tea plantations. Super location. The staff were very helpful and nice.. amazing service..
Very friendly staff! Location 100000% recomended❤️ Breakfest exelent❤️
Road, last 500 meter, was little bit craizy:)
Wonderful location among tea plantation and lots of birds and nature! We stayed both in the main building and the chalet and they were both charming. The two boys who welcomed us were extremely kind and helpful, making sure we enjoyed our stay as much as possible and even serving us breakfast at 6 am as we had to catch an early train!
Considering the price, we definitely expected to pay with credit card, which was not possible.
Calm environment, very nice and helpful staff, good meal etc valued for money
Charlotte is little bit small no place to keep bag clothes etc
Amazing to stay right in the middle of tea plantations. Beautiful view. Staff was so nice!!
Very unique place in a beautiful surrounding! The staff is very helpful and friendly with a very welcoming manager!
Harrington Heritage is a picturesque property, with good dining options and friendly staff.
Great location. Amazing view over the tea plantations. Excellent service, fantastic staff.
Nothing
Our stay at Harrington Heritage was amazing! Nestled in the midst of tea plantations, the tranquility and relaxation were unparalleled. Despite a small swimming pool, it was a perfect post-Adam's Peak hike soak. The food, especially the local dishes, was fantastic; while the more Western options were slightly less impressive, they were still great. The comfy bed and breathtaking views won our hearts. If you're seeking a serene, nature-immersed, cozy, and clean retreat away from chaos, this is the place for you.
Nothing
Our time in Hatton was marked by incredibly friendly service. Faced with a missing driver at night, the owner arranged a last-minute transport to Adam's Peak, ensuring we reached in time for the sunrisem making it an unforgettable execrpience. While dining at the accommodation became a necessity, it proved to be a brilliant decision. The option to choose between a Western or Local Breakfast added a delightful touch to our mornings. Hatton remains a memorable destination, thanks to the friendly service and the owner's dedication.
the Wi-Fi in the rooms left much to be desired, and the gym, unfortunately, was small and minimally equipped, featuring a broken treadmill and aging machines. Additionally, the pool, though appearing more substantial in photos, was a bit different in reality.
Everything and the young man who works there. Very professional
My colleague and I had to travel to the area for work, with my sister traveling along for her first trip to Sri Lanka. Everything was wonderful. The setting is truly magical. The property is clean and comfortable, and the staff was exceptional! The food was specially prepared and so tasty. This place is truly a gem and was a welcome respite in between business meetings in the Northwestern Province. We will absolutely be back!
Everything was nice.
No a/c but we didn’t require as it was cold.
Great location and very nice staff. All necessary facilities are available. Terrace is beautiful. Nothing out of the world but its a pleasant stay in beautiful setting. Perfect for holidays. We would go back if ever we go to srilanka again.
Nothing too serious but Size of the chalet could be a feet or two bigger.
Excellent place for family and for holidays
Too small swimming pool. Cannot swim
Beautiful and relaxing

The staff, especially the manager in charge, went above and beyond to make us happy. Everybody was welcoming and happy to serve. The view is unparalleled. The location is great, you can stroll around tea plantations or walk on gravel roads to villages with Hindu and Buddhist temples. Another big advantage is the walking distance to Argyle hotel, where you can have a gourmet lunch or dinner for a very reasonable price. There's a tiny gym (no weights) with incredible view on the rolling hills.
Some of the villages in the vicinity play loud music all day, but they are far enough, so it's not too disturbing. Breakfast was good, but we found the lunch and dinner dishes a bit boring, so on the second day of our stay we walked to Argyle for the meals.
Wonderful views!
The staff there was lovely. Anjana is the manager there, and he personally made sure we had an enjoyable stay there.
Amazing property, a must go place in Hill Country. Nice, clean and well maintained rooms. Extremely friendly and professional staff Anjana and the staff treated my family really well. Clear and efficient communication to arrange our stay. Food was delicious and they had a good menu to select from. Stayed in both the chalets and family room, both are amazing and the best view you could ask for in a hotel. This is a place where you should come to unwind and relax One of my favorite places I’ve been to.
No complaints at all
The location, simple but tasty food, great service
The Harrington House was all we had hoped for and more. The perfect place for a quiet and restful stay in a beautiful place.
Great views of tea plantations and the mountains. Great place to stay.
Great views. Very welcoming and professional staff that took very good care of us. Really good food (breakfast and dinner).
It's overall clean, but not spotless.
We loved staying there. Great and supportive staff and amazing location, away from cities and crowdedness. We came to Sri Lanka to relax, and the place was more than perfect.
I would add some fans in the toilets to send air outside, I would like the wifi in rooms to be faster and I would love to have nets on the windows and balcony door so that we can open them without worrying about insects and mosquitoes.
Everything was absolutely perfect at this hotel: quiet and peaceful location with surrounding tea plantation, fresh air, excellent, very helpful and friendly staff (thank you Anjana for coordinating our stay), tuk tuk available on call, fantastic food with really royal breakfast and other meals too, we became addicted to your mixed seafood soup served with toasts. Definitely a place to stay longer than just two nights, ideal to experience slow travel.
was on top of a beautiful mountain , the views were absolutely amazing !
The service was excellent ! we came back after climbing the Adam’s peak at 2 am and Thejana and another boy served us a very delicious worm meal ! 😋😋
excellent Location with a view of Adams Peak and greenery surrounding
Perfect location within a tea plantation and an amazing view (sunrise!), new and superb facilities, great and proactive service (e.g., brought us pool towels for the swim)
Breakfast was rather simple, rooms a little smelly even though we slept very well and beds are very comfortable
Set in a stunning location. Clean and simply but elegantly designed. Great shower. Nice outdoor area including a small infinity pool. Service was excellent - very attentive and ready to meet our requests, from transport to late checkout to changing money to ordering drinks. Breakfast was decent. Overall great value for money.
No alcohol license but the staff arrange for a tuk tuk to bring some, which is very convenient.
