There had been changes with staff at front desk so the lady was training. The man with her was very impatient and unkind with her. I felt bad for her.

Other than she couldn't find my reservation when I got there. The first room that we got smelled terrible of dog pee and must. So we switched rooms and it seemed a little better until we got back later in the room was terrible. Terrible smell. We even left the windows open the ac on, and the fan going, did not feel very clean, even laying on the bed, or even to take a shower like what was actually cleaned and what did they clean with? It was very uncomfortable staying there, but too late to do anything about it. One other family complained of it smelling like cigar, really bad to, i will never stay here again.

The facilities were clean for the most part. You could tell that there was new carpet and paint and fixtures throughout the property.

The rooms were extremely musty and moldy smelling. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. We asked to switch to a different room and the new room smelled terribly musty and moldy as well. When we left the property all of our clothes and bags smelled musty and moldy. It was very hard to sleep with the very dated wall ac units as the were extremely noisy and they would also blow the curtains open. To top it off the pillows that were offered on the bed were small square mini pillows. Only 3 of them for a double bed. I would expect these things from a $125 stay but not a place that cost me $250 a night. I will never stay there again or use booking.com as I feel reviews arent accurate and pricing was increased unreasonably.

Room temperature was awful. The air conditioner did not seem to remove any humidity so everything was very damp. No coffee maker in the room. The breakfast was pitiful. Only waffles and cereal. No protein.

The room smelled like mildew and wet dog. We went and bought spray. They need to shampoo the carpets. Our grout had signs of mildew. The breakfast was not good at all. Nothing was refilled once it ran out. For what people pay the breakfast should be better. No orange juice available. Tables were dirty.

Beds were comfy. How the pool is designed since I have a 4 year old.

I did not stay here. One hour before check in they texted me to say they had no hot water. I cancelled my reservation and they said they would not charge me but I think they did.

There is a Mexican Restaurant onsite, nothing else nearby, by way of bars, restaurants or entertainment. The hotel was clean, as was the room. The bathroom was presentable and the bed comfortable. Some amenities were present in the room like a fridge and a microwave, sadly no coffee maker. there was coffee available in the main foyer. a light Breakfast was available not really appetising. The staff were friendly but not particularly helpful. OK for an emergency one-night stopover.

They have awesome help. I have never had a bad experience. They treat you like family. It's easy access to the hotel. It is just off I 80. Very clean rooms. I always stay there. Nice breakfast . They also have a very nice pool. You won't be Disappointed . Give it a try.

Location was good for our needs. Bed was comfortable enough, the shower worked well.

There was lots of wear and tear. Our room smelled very mildewy every time we opened up the door. Once in we acclimated to it, but the room was humid enough that the towels we used never dried so we had to ask for new ones every day. There was no bathroom fan. There was a jetted tub in our room, but the majority of the jets didn’t work and the tile trim around the tub was loose.

Mildew smell, which aggravated allergies, wet sheets, stained duvet cover, awful smelling bathroom. Upholstered chair too dirty to sit on. Air conditioning didn’t work properly. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else.

I booked my room for two queens through booking.com 3 months in advance and they didn’t have that available so stuck me in a one king bed with three people. The hotel told me it was booking.com who sent the order an error and booking.com said it was the hotel and that someone from the hotel would call or email me to make a resolution either comp my night stay or credit me. Nobody has contacted me. The key cards kept not working so you had to take them to the front desk to get reprogrammed. The hallways smelled disgusting. The white bedding was covered in stains. The floor towels smell like feet even after being cleaned. We didn’t stay for breakfast and the coffee was crap.

Facilities were clean; Staff was courteous with no issues encountered; breakfast had several choices so was enjoyable; parking was convenient; no complaints. We enjoyed our stay and will use the hotel again and refer to friends/family. Thank you.

One of the worse hotels I've stayed in. Our room smelled like mildew and it was very humid. We had to complain twice after 10 pm about the loud music someone was blasting. The walls are paper thin so you could hear a group of people arriving at 3 am who were being loud. The beds were hard and it was like sleeping on the floor. I used reward points for my stay and it wasn't even worth those.

The Mexican restaurant next door was excellent and it was close to the interstate.

The first room had water on the floor and smelled liked cat pee. The second room was smelled very musty and needs to be remolded. The breakfast was non existent. Stale bagels. Stale cereal and no milk. It was terrible. Would not recommend this hotel.

Very professional and friendly staff. Easy on/off access from/to highway. New carpeting throughout the property. Very good breakfast. Stored my freezer packs for me. Would definitely stay here again.

No elevator. We carried our luggage to second floor. However, had we asked I'm sure someone on the staff would have carried our luggage to our room for us.

Eigenlijk alles. Kamer stonk naar een combinatie van rook en riool. En dat in een rookvrije kamer. Er werd tot diep in de nacht geklust in het hotel. De bouwvakkers waren ook nog eens erg luidruchtig tot een uur of 2 in de nacht tijdens hun werkzaamheden in de hal bij de kamers. De locatie is echt sketchy. Personeel was op zich wel redelijk aardig.

We were looking for a location east of Iowa City so the location was perfect.

I would have liked a protein for breakfast, but selection was, otherwise, good.

Bedding was dirty had to call front desk to get clean sheets soon as we got in the room.. got up next morning to wash my face sink was leaking water all over the bathroom floor.. did let front desk know I didn't enjoy my stay .

Convenient to highway, adjacent to nice Mexican food restaurant and across street from clean gas station with well stocked store for misc snacks. Has nice sized and clean indoor pool. Breakfast free with waffle makers and muffins and bagels and coffee/juice

Courtyard with gazebo was not mowed and people drank and smoked out there making a mess. Also, no workout room. Breakfast missing eggs and no fruit until we asked

I pulled up to the property got the key for my room. Went to go pull around to where you have to park and it looked like a government housing complex. Vehicles with flat tires. Very questionable looking characters walking around. I did not feel safe leaving my truck and trailer parked there so I left immediately and went to stay at the Hampton. Total waste of my money.

Rooms were advertised as non-smoking but were clearly past smoking rooms. Location of rooms were in the same hallway and next to”smoking” rooms so smoke from other rooms came into our rooms.

If you don't mind sleeping with a throw pillow then this motel is great. If you want something more substantial, find somewhere else to stay. It's ironic since a good night sleep is the reason you're there.

The hot tub was lukewarm at best. Wifi was down. And my mom makes better breakfasts in her sleep.

We were traveling and tried to book a room but were told cats aren’t allowed and were offered a $150 pet fee. We explained we were in a remote area with limited options, and the response was essentially ‘oh well.’ We ended up having to leave and find somewhere else. Would not recommend due to lack of flexibility and poor customer service.

No one was at the front desk when we arrived, and we waited for a while, wondering what we should do. Even after we called the hotel number, no one answered the phone or came to the desk. We worried we would have to travel further to find another place to stay.

Nothing was good about this place. The room smelled of disinfectant, as if something terrible had happened and the scent was doing its best to cover it up but couldn’t quite finish the job. The staff moved through their shifts with the quiet indifference of people who had long ago stopped expecting anything to improve. And the breakfast—if that word can be used —consisted of items that looked as though they had been assembled out of obligation rather than food. Even the coffee seemed to apologize for itself.

We were able to check in online, which allowed for just a key pickup with no paperwork.

This facility should have been updated/remodeled at least 10 years ago. It is definitely showing its age. We had what was supposed to be a mobility (ADA) room. It had all the handle rails in the bathroom, but the showerhead leaked and sprayed everywhere. There was no plastic liner on the shower curtain, so water went everywhere, which made the floor very slippery. There was hardly enough to move next to the bed near the window because of a big chair. It needs blackout blinds because of the huge bright light shining across the parking lot. Just because it's a "Wyndham" doesn't mean it's up to their usual standards!

We have stayed at this Travelodge in Iowa City, IA, before, and we will stay here again. The room is clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is nice looking and has a very nice continental breakfast. We had a couple of issues with our bathroom sink plunger and the clocks, but nothing that really affected our stay.

I love this Travelodge! I will not stay anywhere else while in Iowa City. The convenient location along with the cleanliness and friendly staff make it by far the best!

The property was not as advertised the outside view. The facility was very sketchy.

Everything our first room was a queen and I was almost 100% sure I hit two queen beds got one queen bed and a handicap bathroom where the toilet didn’t even flush the way it was supposed to we walked in and there was still remnants of the last person that was in there, we flushed the toilet and feces or whatever came up through the drain from the shower so we had to request another room and there was pubic hair under the sheets so we ended up leaving that night because we did not feel comfortable staying at that hotel

They never picked up trash or took dirty towels and we had to go get clean ones. Light right outside our room was very bright for the courtyard area so couldn't make a room dark dark.

It was a very quiet, clean and cozy motel. The most cozy part of my stay was the beds, sat high, mattress were so comfy, firm but not too firm, just right...very inviting. Their prices are very reasonable and worth it. They also had great water pressure. If you are looking for a motel I would suggest the Travelodge in Iowa City. 😁

The worst part of my entire experience is doing this survey, the room was great, the staff was great, me and my fiancee even consider this to be our special place and are considering it for our honeymoon.

I didn't have the breakfast, but my husband brought me the mango juice. Very good. Nice clean room / No pets - No smoking - appreciativei. Conforyanle bed.

Curtains let too much light ( from top of curtain ) in room from parking lot. We like a total dark room to sleep in at night.
