El mejor hotel de Bacalar... espectacular, bonito, limpio, comodo, todoooss son muy amables... Darwin, Javi y Ezequiel hicieron de nuestra estadia la mejor... La vista es increible.. el hotel tiene todo para pasarla de maravilla... sin duda, regresaria mil veces ahi!!

The property is so beautiful and comfortable! The staff is amazing! Renata was above and beyond helpful! We absolutely loved her! We visited many other hotels and nothing compares to how amazing this one is! It is cozy and cute. Good drinks and food. You can walk to town but since it is hot it might be a little far. We rented a car - it was so perfect having a car to explore everywhere. We can’t wait to come back ;)

Beautiful hotel and bedroom, hammock in the terrace, friendly staff who were helpful and provided many recommendations for what to do in the area, kayaks and SUPs available for free to explore the lagoon. There is a small pool, the restaurant service is available at all times and the view is beautiful from the hotel dock. 15 minute walk to downtown Bacalar.

The water pressure in the shower could be stronger, the little soap bars and cosmetic products could be of slightly higher quality. There are a few Wifi networks available, one worked very well but the main one provided through QR code did not.

Fantastic location at the lagoon. Really friendly people at the reception, who helped us with various hiccups. Rooms were really tidy, comfortable. Breakfast is a bit too expensive for what you get. Then rather go into town to find something.

Proximité immédiate avec la lagune, ponton de l’hôtel, paddle et kayaks prêtés par l’hôtel. Très beau cadre pour le petit déjeuner à proximité de la Lagune .

On entendait un peu la musique de l’hôtel d’à côté fin d’après-midi. Cuisine du restaurant correcte mais pour le même prix le restaurant la Playita de Bacalar nous a semblé bien meilleur.

The staff here are wonderful, they truly went above and beyond for us! We felt like valued guests and well cared for. Our room was cool and comfortable and we especially loved the balcony with hammock. Housekeeping did a thoughtful and thorough job each day. Donna the duck was a fun pal.

The dock area is almost there. the furniture is comfortable, there just isn't enough space. Most of the time when we went to enjoy the dock and lagoon, all the chairs were taken. We were not aware when we booked that this was such a family friendly location and there were far more children than we would have liked for our relaxing vacation, good to know in advance! It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room.

Luiz en Ricardo waren hele fijne lieve behulpzame medewerkers! We vonden de service heel fijn, het hotel is klein maar super lekkere kamers en direct aan het meer!

Wellicht is het ietsje te ver lopen om elke avond naar het stadje te gaan voor de restaurantjes, maar de taxi prijzen zijn echt super redelijk en de receptie belt ze voor je als je dat wilt. Ongeveer 60 pesos.

Uitstekende locatie, wij hadden huisje nummer 12. Elke dag housekeeping en super vriendelijk personeel van ontvangst tot in de bediening, echt heel fijn. Wederom zo’n locatie waar alles mogelijk is in overleg, laundry service, zeilboot boeken, kayaks gebruiken voor de zonsopkomst. Heerlijke dagen gehad

One of the comfiest beds I’ve ever slept in! Awesome decour, amazing location on the lake- tasty food and drinks and excellent service. Only 20 minute walk to town so great location!

Beware of this expensive, overpriced hotel, with careless reception staff. We had a lake view room, but since the property is on a hill, the front-facing lake rooms are right next to the bar, pool, and dining area. It was like being in a cheap all-inclusive motel with 80s music blasting, making it impossible to escape. And don’t even get me started on the neighbors beach club music. This place shamelessly upsells a 3-star property as a 5 star. Be warned. No refunds offered , no apologies , it was clear staff knew about this , but a half-hearted “we’ll rebook you” doesn’t work anymore when you cheat on your guests. They charged us as if we were in a prime Tulum beach location, shameless. For this premium price, you don’t even get an espresso for breakfast unless you pay extra. And the food is average, like you’d expect from a 3-star hotel. Do not go here.

La ubicación en esa parte de la laguna poco espacio en muelle, no esta linda la laguna en ese lugar y pasan demasiadas embarcaciones y personas en kayac o padel board... se siente ruidoso con el embarcadero que tienen de vecinos

Petit déjeuner un peu léger vu le prix de la chambre

Das war eines der schönsten Zimmer, die wir auf unserem Rundtrip hatten. Es gab alles von Peelingseife, Conditioner über Hauschuhe. Es gab am Balkon zudem eine nette Chill-Area mit Hängematte. Wirklich eine sehr sehr schöne Anlage. Und die Dusche sowie das riesige Bett waren wirklich herrlich! Auch das Hotelteam war sehr lieb. Unser Kellner Riccardo war sehr zuvorkommend! Und man kann sich vor Ort Kayaks oder SUPs ausborgen. Das hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen.

Die Kissen sind sehr hoch und die Deckenbezüge sind oben nicht verschlossen, was ich etwas eklig finde, wenn man bedenkt, dass die Decken nicht nach jedem Gast durchgewaschen werden. Es gab zu wenige Liegen oder allgemein Plätze am Deck und am Pool für all die Gäste. Zudem ist das Nachbarhotel leider extrem laut (sowohl tagsüber als auch abends), was uns sehr genervt hat, weil man nicht wirklich seine Ruhe hatte (was an sich der Sinn eines Entspannung-Urlaubs ist).

Hotel w wyjątkowo przyjemnym miejscu, bezpośredni dostęp do Laguny, w cenie możliwośc wypożyczenia kajaków. Pokoje przestronne, wygodne łóżka. Trochę daleko od centrum ale można się przespacerować.

The bar and restaurant staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating

Really poor stay. The receptionist staff were incredibly rude and unwelcoming. We asked for a kettle to warm up our baby’s milk and we were told that wouldn’t be possible. We arranged a tour of the lagoon and they tried to charge us 1000 mxn to be picked up from the pier. Apparently it is to encourage you to use the tour operator that they work with - obviously a very shady practice designed to rip you off. The rooms are small and dingy. They were carrying out repair work to the jetty (with no prior warning) for the entirety of our stay so you couldn’t enjoy sunrise or sunset. It was noisy all day with the work. When we raised it with the hotel they said it should be done the following day but it still wasn’t finished when we left 3 days letter. They were not apologetic. As others have said the breakfast is very stingy - you get small portions, no juice and it isn’t very good. Other than the jam which is delicious and homemade. The jetty out (when you can use it) does not have very good views of the lagoon.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Carolina Bacalar. The staff was very friendly, forthcoming, helpful and even went the extra mile to assist. For example, when you decide to book a tour just one hour before it starts, they make it happen. :) Kayaks and SUPs were always available to explore the Cenote Negro close by. Service at the bar and sunbeds is great as well. Highly recommended!

The only thing I can think of is that the guy from the neighboring property really enjoys using his leaf blower every morning. Of course it’s not at all the hotel's fault and didn’t really bother us much, but maybe it's worth mentioning.

We loved our room. It was cleaned everyday. The view on the lake is great.

We paid for the breakfast during the booking but the breaksfast was very small. It was just eggs, some fruits and a tiny piece of bread. It would have been cheaper to just buy it directly from their restaurant. The staff wants tips for everything they bring and will definitely show their disappointment if you dont tip.

The property was amazing, location is close to centre on the lagoon, everything was amazing! The little cabinets were supercute! Also the food at the restaurant was really good!

Bel hôtel, très bon emplacement au bord du lagon, avec centre ville accessible à pied en 15-20mn, places de parking réservées pour l'hôtel, chambres très confortables, très bon petit déjeuner au bord de l'eau, kayak et paddle disponibles pour les clients, possibilité d'organiser des excursions par l'hôtel... Très bon séjour !

Das Frühstück kann man sich sparen, schmeckt zwar ganz ok, aber ist nichts besonderes. Es gibt zwar eine Karte mit verschiedenen Frühstücksangeboten, doch alles darauf ist kostenpflichtig. Lediglich ein Kaffee Americano, ein Glas Saft, frische Früchte, ein Toast und ein Ei der Wahl sind inklusive. Wenn du statt dem Kaffee einen Espresso bestellst, kostet dieser extra. Wir empfehlen in einer der Kaffees im Städtchen zu Frühstücken, diese sind super lecker und kostengünstig.

Wat een leuke ruime en nette kamer! Van alle gemakken voorzien, erg luxe voor een 2-sterren hotel. Het hotel zit op een goede locatie aan de lagoon, 10 minuten wandelen naar het centrum.

Er waren wat kleine mieren in de kamer en soms wat herrie overdag van het schuren van de houten balkons en de buren, maar in de avond doodstil, dus wij vonden dat niet erg.

Tolle Lage, Zentrum fußläufig gut erreichbar, sehr bequeme Betten, toller Service, schöne Zimmer, schöner Zugang/Steg zur Lagune mit klarem, sauberen Wasser, kostenloser Verleih von Kajaks - es war perfekt und wir würden jederzeit gerne wieder kommen!

La tranquilad, buen lugar hermoso todo

L’hôtel très joli composé de petits bâtiments (2 chambres l’une sur l’autre) est bien soigné avec un joli bar sur le bord de l’eau et un joli ponton. Les paddles et kayaks à dispo! Le personnel est très sympathique, souriant et disponible. La propreté. Le p’tit dej à choix très bon et copieux!

Pensez à demander une chambre à l’étage, certainement la vue sera bien plus jolie et pas sur le chemin.

Me encantó el hotel, por el cumpleaños de mi hija hicimos el viaje, la administración nos preguntó si celebrabamos algo y al comentarselos, tuvieron varios detalles con mi hija. En serio excelente atención, ubicación, comodidad. Todo fue perfecto.

Really relaxing location with great views over the lake. Really nice room (11) on upper floor with lovely balcony and aspect. Very happy and helpful staff and well run. Used the free kayak service - good equipment and nice places to see nearby.

It is a 15 minute walk to the main town square. Not an issue for us but might be for some. Taxis are reasonably priced.

Tout est magnifique ! Le personnel est à l’écoute m, disponible et bienveillant. Les installations sont superbe, nous avons pu faire du kanoe sur le lagon. Et les nachos du restaurant reste un des meilleurs plats que nous avons mangé.

S’il faut vraiment trouver quelque chose de négatif je dirai le fait que certaines chambres sont proche des espace réservé au personnel et donc on peut y entendre du bruit jusqu’à 23h/00h mais c’est pas très dérangeant.

Le seul défaut de l’établissement est le nombre limité de chaises longues et de paddle. En basse saison c’est parfait, mais je peux imaginer que ce soit moins plaisant en haute saison.

- Rooms are not sound proof at all as there isn’t a proper window so you can basically hear everything - WiFi works badly in the room and across the rest of the hotel - We were not informed by the hotel that there was a lagoon break every Wednesday ahead of time, so we had to rush to our tour and did not get the chance to use our free paddle board voucher - Many ants on tables in the restaurant and even in the room
