No me puedo quedar a vivir aquí.

De gebouwen waar de kamers zich in bevinden zijn mooi en sfeervol. Ook de tuin is mooi aangelegd. Het eten is heerlijk. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We hebben hier hele fijne dagen gehad.

De rijstvelden waren helaas bruin toen wij er waren. Waarschijnlijk was de rijst net geoogst. Men was alweer bezig met het planten van nieuwe rijst.

Erg mooie locatie tussen de rijstvelden en het personeel was erg behulpzaam. Ook was het ontbijt erg lekker!

Er was veel geluid van buiten te horen, waar het hotel in principe niks aan kan doen, maar wel iets om rekening mee te houden.

Traumhafte, idyllische Lage. Das Essen war toll, Personal war toll. Sehr geräumiges Zimmer mit Sofa. Morgens kamen Affen vorbei.

Die Handtücher rochen muffig und die Bettwäsche war vergilbt. Aber das Bett war insgesamt super bequem

Supermooie plek tussen de rijstvelden, aan het begin van de canyon. Fijne kamer, goed bed. Speciale vermelding voor de koffie bij het ontbijt!

Helaas zijn de drukke weg (vooral savonds) en de gebedsoproepen van moskeeën erg goed hoorbaar. Avondeten was aan de dure kant, maar wel lekker. Soms wat nare geur in de badkamer.

Nous avons séjourné 2 nuits dans cet établissement situé aux milieux des rizières, à côté de la jungle et en périphérie de la ville. C'est extraordinaire. Nous avons très content de ce séjour. L'établissement est très bien entretenu. Le personnel est tres gentil. Les repas sont bons et correct en terme de prix. Pour accéder à l'hôtel, ils ont bétonné un chemin entre les rizières permettant de faire rouler les bagages.

Le seul petit bémol est que nous avions la pompe d'eau juste au dessus de la chambre, du coup, à chaque fois qu'une personne ouvrait l'eau, nous avions le bruit de la pompe. Mais sinon c'était parfait.

Emplacement parfait avec beaucoup de charme et un jardin entouré de rizières, Personnel très accueillant et disponible prêt à vous aider et vous renseigner. Petit déjeuner et restaurant très bons dans le jardin

Jendoznačně nejlepší ubytování na naší třítýdenní cestě Indonésií. Proloužili jsme si pobyt o noc, vůbec se nám nechtělo pryč. Pokoje jsou nádherně řešené, prostorné a super čisté. Personál super, poradí, pomůže, navíc vynikající snídaně i jídlo během celého dne. Strategická poloha blízko kaňonu i centra města.

Cena asi odpovídá kvalitě, nicméně je na místní poměry opravdu celkem vysoká.

Rien faudrait être difficile

We had a wonderful time at Padi Ecolodge. Being located in a natural setting, it is extremely peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to get a great night's sleep. The room was spacious and very comfortable. What truly made our stay special was the exceptional service. They kindly arranged our airport transfer. The following day, they organized a private driver for us for the entire day to take us to our next destination, including stops at several points of interest along the way. On top of that, the food was absolutely delicious—some of the best meals we had during our trip! Special mention to the staff for being so attentive, warm, and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone!

Everything was great! It is worth noting that the access road between the rice fields is a bit narrow, but this is not a problem at all when arriving with luggage, as the staff gladly helps you carry your bags.

De locatie is perfect. De lodge zelf van alle gemakken voorzien en vooral een heerlijk bed. Het personeel is erg behulpzaam. Aanrader: neem bij het ontbijt de smooty granola bowl..... geweldig om je dag mee te beginnen

Het was geweldig! De eigenaar en het personeel zijn echt super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De makake apen zijn echt heel leuk om naar te kijken. Het is een soort voorstelling als ze voorbij komen. Het ontbijt is heel erg lekker! Wij hadden een huisje met uitzicht over de canyon met een fijn balkon. De douche en het bed zijn erg prettig! Een perfecte plek in the middle of nowhere.

Les maisons sont très belles et le jardin est extraordinaire. Les chambres confortables et les lits parfaits. La vue ,le decor et les repas sont très bons. Le personnel très aidant pour tout notamment nous aider à voir la fameuse raflesia…

Le bar karaoké des voisins,l appel à la prière ou les cris des chats mais l hotel n y est pour rien,prenez quand même des bouchons d oreille…

Beautiful setting, nice experience of sleeping in traditional house. Nice decoration, good shower, a kettle, coffee. We liked the dinner was freshly cooked. The breakfast was tailored for "western" tourists - no rice for breakfast, felt good after some time.

The pricing was a bit unfair - probably the priciest meal in Sumatra - which is a bit ironic, but we chose the place. The accessibility is inconvenient if you are not fit or carry lots of luggage - maybe this should be stated somewhere. Also no good mark which path to take when turning from the main road.

Quiet location, looks like it came out of a dream. Beautiful room, with a small balcony. Good breakfast, helpful and friendly staff.

Amazing place! Our room was pretty nice, food at restaurant was also very good (especially fresh juices!). Padi is located inside the valley, surrounded by rice fields so the view is amazing. I also really recommend daily trips with Ainul - we had a great time at Harau valley at reasonable price!!

Wunderschöne Unterkunft, mit sehr viel Liebe gepflegt. Man fühlt sich wie in einem Märchenland Gutes Frühstück und auch Abendessen wenn man möchte Mitten in der Natur, die Affen kommen regelmäßig vorbei - man muss dann nur gut auf sein Essen achten

Eventuell wären ein paar Haken im Zimmer praktisch um Sachen aufzuhängen

Locatie met prachtig uitzicht vanaf het balkon. Mooie kamer. Ruim en schoon. Goed bed. Ontbijt was gevarieerd en lekker, (zelfs brood met hagelslag en pindakaas) Zo ook het avond eten. Lopend naar Bukittinggi centrum prima te doen!

Dichtbij een Moskee speaker, geluid begon om 4.50 uur.

Die Lage inmitten der Reisfelder ist ein Traum. Man ist in 10 Minuten am Fluss und in 15 Minuten in der Innenstadt. Wir hatten ein schönes großes Zimmer mit Balkon, Blick in den tropischen Garten . Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr herzlich und immer hilfsbereit. Die Speisekarte im Restaurant ist nicht sehr umfangreich aber alles, was wir bestellt hatten, war sehr lecker. Vielen Dank an Ainul und dem Rest des Teams

Ein Schrank zum Aufhängen der Garderobe wäre schön gewesen.

There is so much to like about Padi Ecolodge....The room was beautiful,built in the traditional style,spacious,clean and serviced daily.Sleep quality was excellent.....The location was very good-a short Ojeck/Grab ride into the centre of town and surrounded by rice fields.The staff were friendly and helpful-I want to thank Aldo who met me when I arrived and took me to the Lodge,Agi who helped me when I was leaving and took my luggage to the parking area,Salsa who organised a car and driver to take me to Padang,Rio who took me there as well as Michael,Hudin and Fajer...An excellent place to stay...Top marks....10 out of 10.

- Located in a beautiful oasis of paddy fields which made for a nice escape from the business and noise of the city - Very clean and comfortable rooms with incredible views of the garden and canyon - Our room was ready on arrival allowing us to check in early which was greatly appreciated after a very long bus ride! - The food was really tasty and the portions were very generous We loved it here on the whole and wished we could’ve stayed longer than one night! It is a very calm and tranquil place to stay.

- Expensive compared to other similar places we have stated in Sumatra - The food in the restaurant was excessively expensive (one of the most expensive meals we had in Sumatra!) - Staff were not always very helpful at answering our questions although they were generally friendly and smiley on the whole - Not easy to walk into town as it is a very steep uphill walk to get there. We got a grab taxi in and walked back!

I had a wonderful stay at Padi Ecolodge, the view is absolutely stunning! Surrounded by lush paddy fields and overlooking a breathtaking canyon, it’s the perfect spot to relax and reconnect with nature. The peaceful atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing breakfast made the experience unforgettable. Truly a hidden gem in Padang! but what truly stood out was the breakfast, fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The team’s warm hospitality made the experience even more delightful.

Wirklich schönes Hotel in ruhiger Lage mitten in den Reisfelder. Das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich und herzlich – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Mein Zimmer war sauber, gemütlich und das Frühstück war lecker und liebevoll zubereitet. Obwohl ich nur eine Nacht da war, kann ich dieses Hotel absolut empfehlen!

Le resort, situé au milieu des rizières et de la forêt, est magnifique ! Le personnel est aux petits soins et le petit déjeuner est très bon, adapté à la clientèle essentiellement européenne. Bons petits plats pour déjeuner et dîner. Jaka, le Manager et guide est très agréable et parle un excellent anglais.

Amazing location, staff are really friendly, great food options. The room is clean and comfortable and there is ample hot water and good water pressure.

Where to go on arrival from the main road is not obvious, the path to the accommodation is not where the sign is and the path isn’t marked so is difficult to figure out. Also the drain smell at points was a bit overpowering.

Magnifique hôtel dans le style minangkabau au beau milieu des rizières. J'avais une chambre sous le toit, avec 2 balcons, magnifique. Le lit est confortable, tout est propre. Très bon petit-déjeuner copieux : gâteau à la banane et pain faits maison, pancake, confitures, fruits. Bons repas également. Et un très bon guide qui parle bien anglais : Jaka.

très bel endroit. Malheureusement, nous n'avons pas eu la meilleure chambre. Elle se situait à l'étage, avec accès par un petit escalier en bois pas très accueillant. Le personnel est très discret, un peu trop ! Nous n'avons pas pu échanger car la personne qui était à l'accueil ne parlait pas anglais. Nous avons fait appel à un guide d'une autre guest house pour pouvoir échanger (les points de vue à voir, les activités à faire, où boire un verre...)

Endroit magnifique mais un peu triste... pas d'accueil.

Tout était très bien, mais....(Voir points négatif) L'emplacement est excellent, au calme au milieu de rizières mais aussi très proche de Bukittinggi. On a donc facilement accès à de nombreuses attractions et c'est aussi facile de trouver un transport pour une prochaine destination. Attention à l'accès en scooter car le passage est étroit. Un petit parking pour scooter à l'entrée. La beauté des lieux, l'originalité de l'hébergement. Tout est bien entretenu. Le restaurant est très bon et le personnel très gentil est à l'écoute. J'ai demandé un petit déjeuner à 7h le jour de mon départ au lieu de 8h. Ils m'ont conseillé pour une agence de location de scooter (très bien) La chambre est somptueuse et propre.

Malheureusement j'ai mis une note de 7 car je n'avais pas fait attention qu'il y avait au minimum 4 chambres par habitation et que le restaurant était très proche. (Ma chambre juste au dessus de la cuisine) Par conséquent c'est assez bruyant. On entend toute les conversations des clients. Aussi, si vous avez une autre chambre au dessus, on entend très bien les bruits de pas. C'est dommage ! Ce critère était important pour moi.

Quite peaceful and beautifully located and yet close to town center.

Very comfortable room . Best shower in Sumatra! Very nice people. Jakka Jack was very helpful in everything we asked. We spent also full day of visiting neighbourhoud. Very well speaking English we learned a lot about Sumatra. Very good help with transport, renting motorbikes! Breakfast was wonderful!

Food in evening was not so tasty maybe because we asked not spicy.

Location and rooms all made from wood were great with a million dollar view. Breakfast and staff were amazing as well.

Beautiful location in padi fields. Quiet. Lovely buildings,. Our room didn’t have a view over the padi fields but we had a lovely “ garden room” with big windows looking into a jungle like gully. Food was tasty, breakfast great.

Loved our room but would have been great at least few windows had fly screens so we could leave windows open to air room.

The location and the buildings were STUNNING.

Everything! From the location, to the views, the peacefulness, the nature, the cleanliness - there is barely anything to fault about the property. The breakfast was made fresh and the staff were kind to help with enquiries, quick and very attentive. It was such a special stay for us - 100% recommend!

Very minor points: There was a small fan that was good for air ventilation but it was a little noisy. The toilet was clean but had a mothball scent from the dehumidifier. The walk back to the property is quite dark but it’s also understandable as it is surrounded by nature.

Beautifully designed imitation Minkabau houses set in a stunning vista surrounded by rice paddies. The room was clean and comfortable with a large bed. The Padi Ecolodge is small and compact with seating for about 20 in the attached restaurant. Breakfast was good with a wide choice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The internet worked ok and we booked a scooter through the hotel.

The only downside if you don’t hire a scooter or use Grab is the uphill walk into town. While not a huge distance if you are relatively fit the walk is up a steep hill.

The bed mattresses are like fluffy marshmallows. The place is secluded but if you need to get anything to eat, the hotel cafe is there for you. The staff are superb, friendly and professional. The place is quiet at night and very relaxing. There are hardly any bugs. I sleep better here than at home!

The approach is challenging; Grab motorcyclists don't seem to know where the drop-off point is. Since I arrived by walking from the town center, I was first directed to a small shack with a tiny sign saying where the actual hotel is. Maybe that sign could be made clearer, or the directions can be relayed in a text message.

Very basic bathroom - cold water, mosquitos etc I would have liked someone who spoke English as I had many questions about the houses and valley. Very nondescript food - a pity for a longer stay I would want to eat my meals there.

The setting is absolutely beautiful! Beautiful garden, very quiet, lots of birds, squirrels in the trees surrounding the property, as well as monkeys. Just 3 minutes by car from the city centre, in a stunning landscape. The staff is very kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay!

The view is spectacular, and the local architectural design of the buildings is impressive.

(1) Access to the venue can be challenging for those carrying multiple bags or oversized luggage, as it’s situated about 300-350 meters from the road, in the middle of a paddy field; (2) the bathroom windows require some attention since they open wide, raising concerns about the potential entrance of poisonous insects or animals; (3) the cooling fan needs to be replaced because it is unable to rotate; and (4) it would be beneficial for the property to have an electric mosquito repellent installed.

The resort has fairytale location, landscaping, and design of the traditional, wooden cottages. The staff people were professional, very helpful, and pleasant. The two drivers provided us with great service and information about the region’s culture and traditions.

We were blown away by the beautiful grounds of the property. Surrounded by cliffs and rice fields, Padi Ecolodge is absolutely stunning. The buildings are so beautifully designed and the landscaping is gorgeous. The owner was super lovely and helpful too!

Honestly, I am struggling to think of anything. When I ordered the avocado toast, I thought it came with an egg and it didn't. Just make sure you request one but this me just trying really hard to think of something to improve!

Nice oasis type feeling and vibe. Room was simple and clean.

The rocks in the outdoor area are sometimes slippery so be careful. I enjoy and prefer walking in the city in the morning but this hotel was not inside the city center so you could not walk to the city from it, so that's the con of being in an oasis type of place.

Good breakfast. Comfortable rooms in a lovely location in the canyon. Nice staff, particularly Michael and Jaka. We spent a couple of days with Jaka as our guide and would highly recommend him to anyone. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

The welcoming reception, the location, the sound of the nature and green all around. The view of the traditional roof houses. The kitchen staff.

Too many cheeky monkeys around the breakfast area. Keep you window closed. They enter the room. More comfortable chairs could be put inbthe balvony to enjoy the view.

The design of the room and the hotel design.

The route to the hotel room, have to walk around 5mins to reach the hotel form the main road. The view is paddy field, it is awesome. But harrow during nighttime where there is no road light at all, we have to open our own phone torchlight to walk to the main road for grab, it is dangerous due to dark and the walkway just so small, we encounter with motorcycle using the road and have to move aside for the motorcycle to pass us. if not careful, might fall off in the paddy field.
