My stay at Ocean Terrace Suite and Spa was extremely disappointing. While the location is genuinely excellent, that’s unfortunately where the positives end. The property is very poorly maintained and lacks even the most basic hospitality standards. There is no manager on-site, minimal staff, no room service, and not even a telephone in the room. Every time you need assistance, you’re forced to walk down two floors to the reception — which becomes frustrating very quickly. The most alarming experience was when I got locked inside the washroom due to a faulty sliding door. I was stuck for nearly 45 minutes. There was no urgency or proper response from the staff. When someone finally came to help, they didn’t even have basic tools — they were literally using a stone to fix the door mechanism. That tells you everything about the level of maintenance here. This isn’t just inconvenience — it’s a serious safety concern. Overall, this property needs immediate attention from the owner. Basic upkeep, proper staffing, and safety measures are non-negotiable. Until that happens, I would strongly advise others to avoid staying here.

J’ai trouvé que le personnel et l’emplacement était vraiment très bien, nous avions un Scooter ce qui rendait nos déplacements très facile. Les chambres étaient spacieuses et très propre, nous reviendrons sans hésitation.

We booked a deluxe room but the AC was not working there, then we were asked to check the other room but again the same problem. They were not able to fix the issue. Finally we were moved to bigger room where there was additional fan so we could somehow manage

Las habitaciones muy lindas y limpias. El personal súper amable. La pile espectacular. La ubicación no es de la mejor, el centro queda bastante lejos y si no manejas moto es difícil trasladarse dado que no hay Grab en Nusa Penida.

El desayuno tiene muy pocas opciones, ni siquiera tienen leche para cortar el cafecito. Más allá de eso, todo bien.

Great stay good location.

Bathroom smelt probably because no ventilation and fan did not work. Power was out for a bit and room became hot .

Lage: alle die sich nicht zutrauen selbst mit dem Scooter zu fahren sind hier ziemlich eingeschränkt - Taxis sind in Nusa Penida sehr teuer und Online-Transportdienste wie Grab funktionieren auf der Insel nicht! Gesamte Anlage etwas in die Jahre gekommen

The decoration of the room and the area is so beautiful, friendly staff and have welcoming drinks also. Btw thank you for the decoration ‘happy anniversary’ in the room. Love it 🥰

There is a few item looks old to me such as their table, the wall have cracking, the curtain also have stain. And the beach only for the view 😅

Only the Staff were excellent. Not a 4 * hotel , not a spa hotel . Breakfasts very limited . Frozen Food , not even fresh fish , the closest restaurant is a taxi away .

Far away from everything. The hotel is very outdated and most parts are very damaged . There was a Screw on the ground of the pool , I hurt my foot , nobody did anything. Mold in the bathroom, A/C didn’t cool off .

La piscine est super bien avec une belle vue sur la mer et le jardin est magnifique. Le personnel de l'hôtel est très sympathiques.

la chambre manque d'entretien avec des planches non fixées, abattant WC cassé . La terrasse avec des planches qui ne sont plus fixées. Le personnel du restaurant n'est pas franchement souriant ce qui nous a étonné car depuis le début c'était tout l'inverse peut être que nous n'avons pas eu de chance...

I had a very disappointing stay at Ocean Blue Terrace Hotel in Nusa Penida. The rooms are poorly maintained — the basin pipe was leaking and the bed was so unstable it shook with the slightest movement. For a place that charges resort-like prices, the basic upkeep is just not there. On top of that, the service was terrible. They don’t offer room service, won’t serve you a beer by the pool, and the staff were surprisingly rude and unhelpful whenever I asked for assistance. It felt like they just didn’t care about guests having a good experience. Overall, this was one of the worst stays I’ve had in Bali. Definitely not worth the money — I’d recommend looking elsewhere if you want a comfortable and welcoming stay in Nusa Penida.

La chambre vue mer était très belle et spacieuse, la piscine était sympa. Possibilité de louer des scooters sur place et de laver ses vêtements à un prix très abordable. À noter que le petit déjeuner n’est pas sous forme de buffet mais sous forme de 4 ou 5 propositions de menus breakfast.

En arrivant nous nous sommes rendues compte que des dizaines et des dizaines de fourmis se promenaient dans le lit,et plus généralement dans toute la chambre, ce qui fut très désagréable. Nous avons passé 1h avec une bombe pour nous en débarrasser au maximum. Ensuite l’eau de la douche était souvent froide et le parquet très vieux se décollait par endroit.

The entire staff was so kind and helpful during our stay. The view from the restaurant and by the pools are just incredible. Melinda went above and beyond to help us even when we had a small incident. The location is perfect for the calm and disconnected traveler. The island itself has so much to offer and we were glad to be tucked away from the very busy touristy parts of town after a long day venturing around.

I wish the breakfast had a little more food. We usually ended up buying more items to be full even though we got our stay with the breakfast package. We found it to be delicious but non filling. Everything we ate at the restaurant was absolutely delicious!

⭐ 1/5 — Extremely Disappointed with My Stay at Ocean Terrace Suite I had a terrible experience during my one-night stay here and would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. 1. After a long, hectic day, we arrived around 5 PM for check-in — only to find no one at the reception. We had to wait and search for someone for 10 minutes before a lady finally appeared to assist us. 2. Right after check-in, we were informed that there was no electricity, and to our surprise, no generator backup either. We had to wait for over 1.5 hours in complete discomfort before the power came back. 3. When electricity finally returned, the AC barely worked — it was running extremely slow, making the room hot and uncomfortable throughout the night. 4. The restaurant experience was the worst part. The lady managing it was shockingly rude and unprofessional. We had ordered a quesadilla, which had no mention of ingredients or veg/non-veg marking. Since all chicken/non-veg dishes were clearly labeled, we assumed it was vegetarian. Before the order arrived, we confirmed with her and told her we were strict vegetarians and would like to cancel if it had chicken. She rudely refused, saying “it cannot be cancelled, you have to pay,” in a very dismissive tone and kept ignoring us after that, even when we tried to place another order. I’ve never experienced such behavior in any hotel or restaurant before — completely unacceptable. Overall: Poor management, zero hospitality, and arrogant staff. They seriously need to improve their customer service and overall guest experience. Tip for others: I would not recommend staying here — there are many better options with more professional and courteous staff.

Die Villen und die Anlage ist eigentlich ganz schön, aber leider ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Die Outdoordusche war das einzig moderne. Das Personal war super freundlich.

Die Villen sind dunkel gehalten…dunkles Holz. Wenn man Angst vor Spinnen hat nicht gerade optimal. Und wir hatten zwei riesige Spinnen in unserer Villa. Da kann das Hotel natürlich nichts zu…sie haben die auch sofort weg gemacht. Der Bereich um den Pool ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Um in das Restaurant zu kommen, muss man die Straße überqueren. Beim Frühstück ist nur ein Gericht inklusive. Bei den Portionen wird man meist nicht satt.

Frühstück nicht gut, zu wenig. Restaurant überteuert und mini Portion. . Zimmer mit Meer Blick gebucht. Bei Ankunft wurde gesagt es wäre keins mehr verfügbar . Ausage , Gegen Aufpreis könnten wir ein Familien Zimmer mit Meerblick bekommen. Frechheit. Türe zum bungalow kaputt. Bett rost gebrochen.

De kamer was fijn, het zwembad was heerlijk en prachtig uitzicht op de zee.

Het verblijf was verouderd en het leek niet meer echt op de foto’s.

Il blocco superiore delle camere con il giardino è curato e le camere sono confortevoli, anche se il nostro bagno necessitava di qualche ritocco

Le foto non sono aggiornate e l’idea che danno della struttura non è conforme alla realtà. Il blocco si presenta suddiviso in due parti e separata da una strada dove abbiamo il blocco superiore con giardino curato, dove sono presenti anche le Deluxe con piscina, ma il bar è chiuso e quindi non ci sono tavoli a bordo piscina . Mentre il ristorante è separato dalla strada ed è nella parte sottostante e si svilupperebbe su due livelli con una seconda piscina fronte mare e delle camere sottostanti, terrazzate. Il fatto è che la zona sottostante della piscina è dismessa e non ci sono tavoli per la cena, come viene presentato nelle foto. Si mangia soltanto nell’area ristorante, colazioni sempre vista mare, ma a livello strada . Ci tengo a segnalarlo, perché sicuramente le intenzioni iniziali della struttura erano quelle presentate dalle foto, ma poi non sono state conservate e quindi l’idea che danno nella foto Gallery e fuorviante .

La persona del hotel fue bastante amable y nos ayudo en todo momento. Alquilamos una moto en el hotel y también se encargaron del servicio de lavandería cuando preguntamos. La habitación fue bastante cómoda y el servicio de limpieza perfecto. La piscina esta abierta siempre que quieras.

El desayuno era a elegir entre 4 opciones, bastante escaso a mi gusto. La ubicación no es céntrica y todo esta bastante alejado, tienes que alquilar una moto para moverte. El restaurante que tiene el hotel no tiene gran variedad de comida y es caro en comparación calidad/precio con el resto de la zona.

Nous avons vraiment adoré cet hôtel pour l’accueil que nous avons reçu aussi bien à l’hôtel qu’au restaurant, pour la magnifique chambre que nous avions avec vu sur la piscine et sur la mer. Tout était propre avec un bon équipement. Les petits déjeuner étaient copieux et très bons. Nous avons pu louer des scooters et réserver des activités directement à la réception en toute simplicité. Emplacement au calme avec vue sur les lever de soleil.

La recepcionista es un encanto de mujer, siempre con una sonrisa y ayudando en lo que necesites. Las habitaciones son pequeñas cabañas preciosas. Hay 2 piscinas, 1 con vistas al mar. El restaurante al lado del mar también con una comida de calidad excelente a un precio muy bueno. Sin duda, lo recomiendo 100%.

C’était super ! Il y a deux piscines dont une les pieds dans l’eau de la mer. Franchement super endroit, pas trop touristique je recommande !

A simpatia dos funcionários, e os serviços disponibilizados. No nosso caso pedimos uma moto e transfer para o porto e os funcionários foram logo muito prestáveis.

No primeiro dia não havia água quente no nosso quarto. Foi desagradável porque o staff não conseguiu resolver o problema de imediato. No entanto, no dia seguinte ficou resolvido. A localização não é muito central, o que implica ter sempre um meio de transporte. Reservamos um quatro com vista mar e quando chegamos não foi isso que tivemos. Por fim, consideramos que o pequeno almoço tinha poucas opções, apesar de as existentes serem mais “fora da caixa”.

The view was okay but not amazing

We booked the deluxe suite and on the description says private pool. This isn't the case it's a shared pool, there is also no hot tub what is says on the description. We went straight down and wanted to not even stay the night but couldn't find anywhere else so we checked out in the morning was meant to stay for 2 night. The rooms aren't soundproof so you can hear the conversation from the other rooms. The shower is outside and is badly designed. The bed is like sleeping on a concrete slab. The breakfast is shocking and does not taste nice at all. The coffee tastes like pond water. I would say it's one off the worst places I have ever stayed in. The staff are rude and don't know what customer service is. You can only eat in that restaurant as it is far out from anything else. But you wouldn't want to eat in it as the food is horrible. I would avoid this place.

Still not really good

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has good prices and a menu. Suites are very comfortable and spacious.

I disappointed with what things. First for someone who unfortunately go without car is a little bit complicated, far (15 min walking and dangerous route )and more expensive (taxis car). The first room didn't work the TV. I expected to play music and series in raining days, which had some.

The Property was very clean and very well maintained the lady at the reception was very lovely and arranged a rental of a bike

We stayed for three nights. We liked the hotel, especially the large bathroom with an outdoor shower. The bed was very comfortable and the room was cozy. Breakfast was simple but fine to start the day.

You can't access the sea directly, but the sea view is stunning. The hotel appears much more spacious in the photos than it actually is. To explore the island, you’ll need a car or a scooter. Unfortunately, we only discovered the small but excellent Warung nearby on our last evening. The other nights we had dinner at the hotel or in 'The Chill' nearby. There isn’t much to explore within walking distance.

Location was a bit far from tourist attractions on both east and west side. It was still okay as the location was somewhere in the middle so it was neither too far from either side. The location is also very close to chill penida beach club which is just walking distance. It
