Well the hotel needs renovations but it is still very nice and comfortable. We stay there every time we drive through Georgia. Will be back in November.

Normally I get there in time for evening "Happy Hour". I missed it this time BUT, trying to check in was a problem because the desk computer system was malfunctioning. Other than that, the stay was as I expected..

Computer system was malfunctioning

Stayed here twice, once doing down to Florida and once coming home two weeks later. Both times were very nice, and will stay here again. This hotel is attached to a defunct mall, which is something of an eyesore (there is still a functioning movie theater there, as of August 2026 anyway). There is a massive, large-scale mall parking lot. So, not much to look at outside or views from the rooms. The hotel inside if very nice. It's spacious and maintained. Rooms were standard Embassy Suites rooms. Staff was all very helpful and nice, especially the late-evening bartender/server, who was very engaging with my family as we ate at the on-site restaurant (food was good). Nice place to stay, especially if you're doing a long drive up/down I-95.

Had a suite booked for months and the day we was supposed to check in we found out that they was renovating and tried putting us into two rooms with one bed each. Terrible service and no regard for guests.

Breakfast was horrible, staff were unfriendly, very outdated, location and outside was weird. I had issue with my air and the fridge and spoke to two different people, don’t know if it was ever addressed.

Clean and the breakfast was good

I accidentally spilled a cup of coffee, burning my hands. My husband hurried to get something to clean with and a kitchen staff came out and made a dramatic, angry scene. He was speaking Spanish (I believe) which I do not understand. Whatever he said made all the other staff laugh. A nice lady from the staff FINALLY asked me was I ok. When I told her I would clean my mess she told me not to worry that she would clean it. I was embarrassed and shocked at how the whole situation was handled.

Room did not smell fresh. Stuffy. Bathroom & kitchenette area floors were sticky. Location of hotel was on a mall property. We were there on a Sunday and the mall parking lot was empty, so don’t know if stores were just closed or if mall was just vacant.

It was close to the highway.

Upon checking in , the young lady at the reception actually ignored me as I stood there waiting for her for 10 minutes. She never greeted me or apologized to me for having me wait so long. She kept answering the phone and there was no one in front of me. She was just rude and after a long day of traveling it was not something that I was expecting. The lighting of the place was also dismal. It was very dark inside like they put low voltage bulbs in or something. Just depressing.

The breakfast buffet was outstanding with lots of choices including an omelet bar. The evening cocktail was a welcome distraction after a long road trip. The location was convenient to the interstate.

Convenient location and great amenities

I had to laugh while reading some of the reviews for this hotel. Maybe Cherry Wonderdog’s standards are unusually high, but it’s also quite possible that those praising the Embassy Suites in Brunswick have standards unusually low. Rarely have I seen a hotel in such an ugly location, literally in the middle of an extended parking lot, overlooking an abandoned mall’s roof, with decrepit, pithfully maintained sun awnings in plain view of the windows. The cost to stay here was exorbitant all things considered, and before you start gushing over the complimentary evening reception and grandiose breakfast, let’s be real. The reception was nothing like others I have attended at superior hotels or even other Embassy Suites, offering real food, crudites, vegetables, etc., sometimes enough for a light meal, along with real drinks in glasses. Here, we had one bartender hastily mixing simple drinks in plastic cups or serving Bud or Bud Lite on draft. The local brew was not included. For munchies, there was a bin of processed finger food and popcorn. Wow. Has the hotel no shame? The breakfast was limited too, although at least the omelet man cooked us a mean egg concoction. Coffee came from a machine, and the advertised yogurt apparently didn’t make it on the truck. No worries, we were assured, because it would be there later in the day (as if everyone was there on extended stays.) The room itself seemed dated, the windows were dirty, and AC didn’t work in the bedroom. Outside, the pool felt undersized for the number of rowdy kids playing in it. On a positive note, the glass elevators were fun to look down on those below. Surely there has to be a better and cheaper lodging option in an area slightly more pleasant than an abandoned shopping mall.

This hotel is spacious, from the rooms which are on the larger side for the brand to the open concept balcony hallways and common areas on various floors, to the center courtyard/lobby area which is incredibly spacious with a clean simple elegance to the design. The pool here is outdoors and there's no hot tub but there is a free breakfast with made-to-order omelettes. The evening social included both salty snacks and fruit as well as hot popcorn and drinks (& 2 alcoholic drinks per adult). Cece at the front desk and Corey at the bar additionally made efforts to make guests feel truly valued. I may forget details of the hotel but I will remember how they made me feel. I'm marking this hotel as one of my favorites.

Easy to locate

When we arrived, we were told that the Booking.com reservation was not in the system and got downgraded to a queen suite. About half an hour later, I got a call saying the King Suite we had booked was now in the system. This was about 9:30 pm and everyone was already in bed getting ready to sleep. In the morning, we noticed trash left behind from the previous guest. Went downstairs for breakfast and that went well. When we left my son left his Disney hat behind. I called that same day from South Carolina and found that the hat was located and we could call back in a few days to get the details on how to get it sent back to PA. As of writing this review on 5/16/26, they still haven't sent the email saying it was found has not been sent and I am slowly losing hope of seeing the hat again.

Clean room, comfortable bed

I waited 30 minutes for a staff member to come to the lobby and check me in. I had to make several phones calls and send several instant messages. The last thing I wanted to do after driving all day is wait around 30 extra minutes to get checked in.

Location by a movie theater where people hung out in parking lot was a little uneasy feeling.

We love to stay at Embassy Suites whenever possible. This one is great. great food, great staff and wonderful space and comfort. I dont love the location attached to a closed up mall.

The only small complaint is the closed mall attached to the hotel-feels isolated and a little scary at first.

We were traveling from Florida to Pennsylvania and arranged a stop at the Embassy Suites. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner and it was very good.

The hotel was in a great location close to everywhere we wanted to go. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was really good. They had so many items to choose from.

My only complaint was the linen for the sofa wasn't clean.

The hotel needs a renovations dearly! Was here with my husband and grandkids to enjoy some warm weather on our trip home. We checked in on March 4th and checked out March 5th. The rooms smell of mold, the breakfast was good, the social that night was terrible couldn’t find the bar tender so we did not get our drinks. The only thing I even remotely liked was that you allow couples to work together the gentleman Eddie that checked us in his lovely lady didn’t catch her name but very beautiful lady had the prettiest black dress on the day of checkout were kind to anybody they encountered, and seeing them return from lunch together all happy was a delightful bonus. The staff is what makes a hotel and seeing a lovely happy couple was a pleasant surprise as most places now don’t allow couples to work together.

Although the location is a little off our travel route all was worth the inconvenience.

We stayed here while moving from Connecticut to Florida. The location initially made us uneasy, as it’s attached to a rundown, nearly vacant mall that gives the area a somewhat neglected feel. The lobby was nicely decorated and made a good first impression. Unfortunately, the guest rooms felt outdated and worn. While our room was clean, the visible wear and tear made it feel less clean than it actually was. The front desk clerk, CeCe, was excellent — friendly and helpful . Breakfast was good in terms of quality and selection. That said, closing it at 9:00 a.m. seemed too early, especially since several families were still coming down to eat. Watching large amounts of untouched food being taken away felt wasteful. Overall, the service was great, but the aging rooms would make it difficult for me to want to stay here again unless renovations are completed.

Excellent stay before cruising out of Jacksonville, Fl. The room was very clean. We had a living area with a separate bedroom. The cocktail hour with snacks was a very nice addition and the breakfast had an omlette station that was very good.

If pressed, perhaps the view from the room....but I came for a good night's sleep and a nice breakfast and got all that I wanted.

I just want to say that my husband and I travelled 14 hours and were exhausted when we arrived at this hotel and Eddy, who is the front desk manager was so welcoming and friendly that I felt he deserved a shout out so thank you! We slept like babies. Our stay was wonderful. The hotel was clean and the location was great also.

The added tax from the hotel which was about 34.00 unexpected dollars. Not such a deal after that. Now I know why I had such a nice room. Should have been disclosed

This was our 2nd visit and would choose to stay here again and again. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The cocktail hour is outstanding, breakfast was great. The staff was attentive and friendly. Location was perfect, and plenty of grassy areas for our dogs.

Nothing really. If I had a request or maybe a opinion. Maybe bump breakfast to 10 instead of 9. We arrived late and slept in a little longer and had to rush a little to get to eat. They were starting to clean up while we finished eating.

Excellent service. The bartender during happy hour was really exceptional! Very professional and seemed to provide service to a fairly large group of customers. We also really enjoyed the chocolate bar in the gift bag.

Room was very cold. Could not get heat to work. It was 30 degrees out. Too tired to change rooms when realized heat not working.

The inside was great! Clean, good atmosphere. We liked the welcome snacks and drinks. Rooms are nice and big. Breakfast was amazing! Staff was helpful and friendly.

First off don’t be scared off by the location being attached to a sketchy mall. The property looks derelict from the outside, my husband just about turned around. But the inside is nice!! Booking has the description of the rooms wrong, the room had one less bed than we expected.

Great breakfast

The thermostat would not work properly. The heat would run for a few minutes then shut off. Room was very cold and we had to adjust the thermostat over and over. The lamp by the bed flickered like a strobe light. Tv in the living room would not come on. Parking is in the mall parking lot and was far from the check in desk

Spent one night. This was our second time staying at Embassy. The beds are super comfortable and the rooms are nice and quiet. We sleep very well there. Everything is also very clean and Embassy Suites is beautiful. The breakfast is great as they also have a free omelette bar with any fixings you want. We will always come back.
