Our regular stay when up that way. Value for money

This is my second stay in less than a month so I must have been impressed to visit a second time. Great location close to Uxbridge.
It would be good if they could offer some cereal or toast on days that a full breakfast isn't available. Other than that feedback no complaints.
We only stayed overnight from 10:30 pm and found the site very quiet the room beautifully clean and everything works perfectly well and the bed was really comfortable
There isn’t anything that we didn’t like about the property
Clean and tidy and near Heathrow with free parking
0.
Really good value for money. Room a good size for a quick stay. Shower was lovely and hot and easy to check in and out.
Found pillows bit uncomfortable and room next door were abit noisy. I was probably just unlucky
Gorgeous location, property snd very nice staff. Loved it! Ideal location for the airport. Easy check in and out. Just what we needed the night before our holiday. Will definitely be using again when we fly from London
Location, size, cleanliness
Could use a few things to knock it up a level, tissues, bottles of water etc
Great location and nice feel
No breakfast or facilities for breakfast to warm up food which was tough with a baby
The room was clean and comfortable and there was a restaurant and pub on the premises. There was also a Tesco nearby. Easy access to the city and the airport.
The room needed a small, round table, two chairs and a microwave to allow hotel residents to dine in the room.
Nice atmosphere
We arrived to find our linen hadn’t been change from the the gusets! Black hairs on sheets, pillowcases and quilt!
Location food staff
Better shower
Clean, tidy and pleasant staff.
Bed too soft, pillows a bit too firm. Fridge noises, kept waking us up and had to turn it off.
Great location . I stay a few times a year and am always blown away by the marina and the pubs staff n food

Nice location on the canal with lovely walks nearby. Staff were very helpful and friendly and really made the experience of staying there a good one. Good pub food
The music in the outside area was too loud. There was no particular event that evening but the dj was playing music much too loud for a relaxed waters edge venue. You couldn’t talk to the other people in your party easily. It could be heard in the rooms too but didn’t prevent us sleeping.
Rooms where nice
You said there was a continental breakfast included in our room but there wasn't we didn't get one in our room and a continental breakfast is not biscuits it's croissants pastries
It was clean and spacious and perfect location to Heathrow Airport. Nice restaurant over looking the canal. It was nice to have a drink outside to chill before our holiday. The room had an air con unit and a fridge which was very useful. The shower was nice and powerful.
The listing advised that on weekends (Friday/Saturday) there could be events happening on the grounds as they are a pub/restaurant. We booked for a Tuesday night so thought this would be fine. When we got there at 4pm there were 2 parties already in full swing. We had to leave at 4am the following day and did not get a wink of sleep. Up until past 1am people were standing outside our room screaming and shouting. Don't book this hotel if you want a restful night before an early flight.
Cerca del aeropuerto.
La habitación estaba vieja necesita una reforma.
Nicely located for local wedding and quite
There was mould in the bathroom
Staff and location
Nothing
Right next to the canal which is lovely. The food was good aswell.
Nice location staff very helpful and nice room was good everything we needed breakfast in the morning lovely
I no everybody has there own opinion on how sort or hard a bed should be but I found the bed to be extremely hard not to MY liking
The location was lovely, the staff nice, and the beds were comfortable. They left some nice welcome things for us too. One of the two rooms we were in was really nice.
Our party had two rooms. One was very nice and updated but the other was not. It smelled like old socks with smelly cleaning solutions over it. The bathroom had a terrible smell that came and went (not correlating when it was used).
Location was good. Good communication and staffs are Lovely. We were made to check in earlier at no extra cost. Thank you host
Het eten en de bediening in het restaurant
Netheid van de slaapkamer. Badkamer was wel netjes
The staff were excellent and professional. The location is perfect for those who need a good time and a very friendly environment. Planning to go back again.
Nothing at all.
There is air-condition and good WiFi connection in the room, good water pressure for shower, comfortable beds and accessible to West Drayton Elizabeth line.
Would be good if shower gel and shampoo are provided as well. Though it is stated in booking.com, I had overlooked it, so had to buy (small matter but stating here so others could bring travel set).
Excellent
Nothing
Man konnte vor Ort lecker im Biergarten essen und gemütlich sitzen. Auch die Hundemitnahme war kostenlos, wirklich nett
Sehr laute Nachbarin, aber dafür kann das Cottage ja nichts
Nothing
Dirty carpet and shower, room not the one advertised. Shabby and tired decor with superficial damage in parts in need of a total refurb., blinds broken, dead bolts on the door broken Outside dirty.
Canal view
Waited ages for a car parking space; check-in took 15 minutes - 1 bar person, with people ordering cocktails and food. Noise from the next room woke me up (it felt like they were in the room with me I could even hear their whole conversation). My burger was cold. A staff member was crying in the garden due to the chef's rudeness. Noise from DJ - I was warned there would be noise via email after the free cancellation period had passed, so I couldn't cancel, but man, the noise was overwhelming - my bed was vibrating and even with my headphones on, listening to my show, I could still hear the noise. It would have been helpful to receive the noise warning as soon as I booked so I could have cancelled.
Conveniently positioned in close proximity to the M40. Met family for a lovely Sunday lunch in their restaurant. Very friendly staff and lovely outside seating overlooking the canal. Room comfortable and clean.
Shame breakfast only available at weekends.
Staff location food
Tired, needs updating, no usb phone/tablet charging points, shelf or hooks in shower
Very friendly helpful staff. Georgia facilited early check -in for a small charge
Only the door handle of courtyard 3 was not working properly making locking and opening tricky
good location, close to Heathrow but beside the canal which was pretty and a nice walk to nearby pub. Room well equipped and nice shower and comfy bed.
When we arrived there was no power which wasn't the fault of the accommodation but the member of staff receiving us made no attempt to serve us a drink when we asked if we could get one from the bar. There was a generator keeping the pub fridges going so we could have had a can of coke but she just told us nothing available and made no suggestion of where we could go. We later asked someone on the tow path who recommended the Malt Shovel. A portable air conditioning unit was in the room as it was hot but this had a hose out of the window. The room was ground floor so we did not feel able to leave the window open safely. Beside our room was another air conditioning vent which was really noisy so, considering we were beside a canal which should have been peaceful, it was a very noisy night. We also spotted a tablet left on the bedside table (photo) not sure what it was but if found by a child could have been very dangerous - cleaning staff should have been more careful.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The mattress was very hard, the shower facility was very poor, the layout of the room was very poor.
The outdoor area
Needs an update
Location was beautiful and the room was cute other than the centipede in the shower. It was clean and a good size. Room was air conditioned which was easy to use and worked well
Check in process was long as the internet was down and we could not even buy a drink whilst we waited as we only had our cards which we couldn't use because the Internet wasn't working so we had to sit in the bar for 40mins waiting after we had already travelled and was tired
Lovely setting peaceful.
My early morning call from the gardeners hedge cutting.i get that they start after 8.but maybe start after 10 when guest have checked out.
Lovely cabins within bar and restaurant setting beside the canal , air con unit in the room which was needed , always a fabulous stay here
Nothing
Always lovely staying in these units. Pet friendly . Great staff and vibrant restaurant.
Very comfortable stay and lovely location on the canal
There was a air vent/fan directly outside the room which meant there was a consistent buzz but this may have just been where my room was located vs others. It didn't keep me awake, just was aware of it.
Hi, I recently had the pleasure of staying at Canal Cottages, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff, who made me feel right at home. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, setting a positive tone for my entire stay. As a Business Development Manager, I stay in hotels weekly across the UK and beyond. The first impression was great, with a large beer garden that sits right by the canal, inviting guests in. Upon checking in, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and I found the accommodation to be very clean and perfectly situated to watch the narrowboats float by. I decided to have dinner at the hotel and was not disappointed. With help from one of the friendliest bar staff I’ve had the pleasure to meet, I chose mussels for starters and steak for the main course, which was one of the best steaks I’ve had in a hotel. From start to finish, it was one of the best hotels I have stayed in, and I would definitely return when I’m in the area.
Nothing
Location. Great area to walk along the canal.
Best choice for Summer and glad to book this
Adequate for an overnight stay
Shower was cold
Loved the room. With its private area in front and over looking the canal. The staff were fantastic and the food in the restaurant was also good.
The door was hard to close but I am guessing that was down to the heat last week.
We arrived early and the room was ready, which made everything easier. Air con was a god send also!
Some areas of the room were in need of maintenance but nothing to complain about.
Good value for money
Great price and good food in the restaurant. Nice to watch the canal boats go by whilst eating in the courtyard. Friendly staff. All in all, it was okay for a one night stay.
Accommodation is cabin style, and there is little soundproofing - can hear conversations, TV, bathroom etc from the cabin next door. Comfortable enough, but rock hard pillows made it difficult to sleep. In general the accommodation could do with some TLC. The location is a little far out from the town and underground station - around 10 mins in an Uber or an hour's walk. Not much to do around the accommodation itself.
I loved the location by the canal and the unique cottage with view seats outside. It was very nice that they provided an air conditioner for the heat wave. The room cooled off and I was able to turn of the air conditioner during the night and stay comfortable. Dinner at the restaurant was very good. My friends joined me for dinner outside and we went for a nice walk by the canals afterwards. It was a short ride (10-15 minutes) to the airport the next morning.
There was a lot of condensation on the floor around the air conditioner. They left a towel to soak it up, but I needed another one because there was a puddle. I imagine if it weren't a heat wave, this would not be a problem.
Nice friendly accommodation in a peaceful spot of Uxbridge. We had breakfast in the Water edge restaurant and it was really nice. There is also a bar so you can chill with a drink next to the canal.
Door to cottage could have done with some maintenance only very stiff to open and close. Would have preferred a toilet roll rather than sheets as I find you waste more with sheets.
I love the property here. Its private, great location for why we stayed there. The staff go above & beyond and i know if we mentioned anything we weren’t happy about they would have tried to correct it. They were so busy though and i feel slightly understaffed. The food here is delicious, we had an evening 3 course meal. Breakfast and another meal the second night & you can’t fault the food. We even joined an elvis tribute night. He was amazing! Will definitely book again.
Cobwebs & the shower wasn’t very clean, no coffee sachets on the 1st night, but there were some there on the second night.
Sunday evening bar meal wonderful! Room clean and quiet, with fridge and air con, hair dryer, kettle Close to canal walking path, and to High Street
Tiny bathroom with no shelves, or towel hangers which would be useful for guests, as room already very compact. Definitely a difficult place to reach unless you had a vehicle.
Good space, clean room and friendly staff.
Location of room through outside drinking area. Arriving on a Friday afternoon there were several groups of men, it was hot so they had no shirts on which wasn’t pleasant As a woman I felt intimidated having to squeeze between them with my case while they were smoking and drinking and looking us up and down. The room was sold as air conditioned. Unfortunately it only had a noisy portable air conditioning unit which is designed for a much smaller space. The room stayed unbearably hot all night despite us leaving the aircon on while we went out. We opened the doors and one small window when we got back. We appreciate we were staying during the hottest weekend of the year, but feel we were mid sold on the air conditioning statement - the unit wasn’t fit for purpose in a bedroom.
Location was good being near the canal. The food was excellent. We enjoyed a good meal at the restaurant.
Beautiful canal side location , for a dog friendly stay in a well kitted out luxury pod.
It was all fab.
Clean and just what we needed for an overnight before an early check in at the airport
Great room, really great price for the 4 of us. Lovely view outside pub and fab we had a fridge in our room to keep our drinks cool as we stopped during the heatwave. Thankful for the air con machine in room too.
Shame you can't get breakfast in the week because we definitely would have ordered if it was an option.
I was told to reach out to customer service I have reached out and nobody has responded to me There was no AC IN MY ROOM My mum was very uncomfortable. She had to use a fan which she doesn’t normally use because of her health This is unacceptable I need a refund and for someone to reach back to me
Pleasant location & proximity to work location
Pleasant & comfortable stay & proximity to place of work
Great location
A great location for London and friendly helpful staff
No hot water
The facility looked tired and could do with some colour
Great location - 20 mins from LHR. Cabin was clean, staff were friendly and restaurant food was good
Cabin a bit cobbled together - needs to be finished off but for the money it was fine
I liked the cabin, it had everything necessary, tho there was nowhere to put anything in the bathroom, no shelf or drawer which was difficult. Same in the shower. The fridge and air con were excellent and I loved the little stool/cupboard thing.
The shower is appalling. It starts hot then the button clicked and automatically changed to the "cold" button and the water runs cold. I tried 8 times with the same result and then it randomly clicked to the "extra hot" button and so I just scalded rather than froze. It could be really dangerous There was no hot water in the sink one night but it was luke warm in the morning. There is no soundproofing - I heard every sound from next door. I put something in the bin and banged my head on the TV which swung off its bracket, scared me to death, but a sweet member of staff fixed it. Blinds or muslin curtains would be good so you can be in bed with the blackout curtains open and have daylight without having passers by seeing in.
Beautiful location by the canal. Outdoor seating. Very good food and Friendly staff
Bed was a little firm for my taste.
Perfect location
Everything was perfect
All good
Room hot no air con ?
good quality, big room
Great location, charming on the canal. Food very good and great value. Very happy with our choice.
Nothing worth mentioning
Staff were welcoming
The room was dirty. Net curtains on door were filthy at bottom. Curtain was hanging off. Only one small window next to door which you couldn't keep open due to door lock being next to it. Room was ridiculously hot. Had an air con unit in room but it was so loud you couldn't hear TV when on and was impossible to sleep when on. Shower over bath was decent but slippy so could do with anti slip mat. Only stayed for one night out of the two booked. Went to other hotel. Requested refund for the night we didn't stay but not received anything. Had miss call but couldn't contact as directs to email. Emailed and not received response.
Location nice by the canal. Room was very nice and offered something a bit different for an overnight business trip.
Lovely room, lovely location. Quite expensive considering there were no toiletries other than hand soap. The outside of the room needed cleaning but otherwise fairly clean. Could have had squishier pillows as the pillows were very hard.
All Was good
Location, room was really good
Noise from extract fan above the room was annoying
