Killarney Randles Hotel

We stayed in the townhouse. It was very comfortable. It had great space and the location was ideal for our weekend trip to Killarney.

There seemed to be a plumbing issue and bad smell from the drains in the bathroom.

The location was the only good thing about the property!

The rooms were not updated as advertised, the carpets and bed coverings were dirty, stained and worn. The bathroom was so poorly designed that the shower wet the entire bathroom with each use. You have to lug your baggage down stairs to access the elevator. Parking was a nightmare not enough spaces. Finally the staff provided false information about an earlier checkout date and I was overcharged by hundreds of dollars and they are not honoring the information provided by their own front desk employee.

We stayed in the townhouses and going up the stairs with a bunch of suitcases was annoying. Also felt like weren’t part of the hotel. Felt like an airbnb.

The room itself was sweet and fine size for just me. The food at rhe restaurant was yummy and the staff throughout were absolutely lovely and helpful. It was a very aesthetically pleasing outside and inside.

The room was nice but next to the dolly/Cleaning cupboards so was bit loud. The room is in need of tlc, plugs didn't work, bathroom was in need of cosmetic tlc and the shower leaked. Also the room smelled funky and the hallway when I arrived. The kettle also didn't work. At breakfast they were so skimpy with my food, for intolerance reasons I could have some of it on the menu but they never gave me anymore to make up for it, I had to ask and then even the second time the beans came in a tiny glass thimble, bit annoyed.

This is a lovely, nicely decorated historic property. It is a short walk from City Center and the staff is wonderful. Our room was comfortable and roomy.

The rooms are lux. Strikingly so. Really thoughtfully decorated and premium feeling. The space felt less like a hotel room and more like some real interior design thought was put into each room

The location is about a 10-15 minute walk from the city centre, so at a similar price point some hotels with better locality are there. I nonetheless found the quality of the hotel to be worth it.

We stayed in the new townhouse which was very modern (everything remote-controlled including the curtains) and comfortable. Good parking in front of the building.

The townhouse is a little bit further away from the town centre than the actual hotel - a two or three minute drive from hotel and about a 15-18 minute walk into town. No big deal but it was pouring with rain when we went into town so it felt a bit longer than it would have!

Incredibly clean, modern and luxurious in every way. Staff responsive, thoughtful and kind. Nothing was a bother and they were a joy to deal with. Room itself spacious, comfortable and the electric fireplace display was an amazing touch. Very cosy, and I wanted for nothing. On site parking also great.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent and beautiful accommodations - free parking, lovely common areas and the room was quiet and immaculate. The Randles is very convenient to both The Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula.

We were in the new addition and the WiFi was slow.

We would have preferred to stay in the main hotel, not the house round the corner however it was very well designed, clean and comfortable.

Avstånd till själva hotellet samt staden. Vi fick först ett rum på bottenvåningen som kändes som att bo i en källare… Mörkt, med ett litet fönster ut mot parkeringen på innergården. Vi bad att få njuta och fick ett mkt bra rum på översta våningen. Vi hade mer om ett fint rum då vi fortsatte vår bröllopsdag, då vi undrar varför vi då fick det sämsta rummet i ” källaren”… ?

Randles is a lovely hotel offering a warm welcome and very comfortable stay, lovely bedding, quiet room and delicious breakfast.

Beautiful hotel. Great location, walkable to town center yet removed just enough for quiet. Lovely clean facilities, comfy bed. They upgraded us to a suite which was super spacious. Had a beautiful window seat with a view of the mountains! Front desk staff was lovely. Spacious garage with free parking!

Beautiful main hotel lobby with a warm and helpful staff. The restaurant is excellent, and I can't say enough good things about the floor manager who ensured everyone in the dining room was comfortable and satisfied with their breakfast. Delicious and well worth adding it to your stay!

When we checked in, we did not expect to have to walk an extra 5 minutes up to the townhouse, which is on a separate street altogether. We were simply told, "walk to the light and turn left." We thought it would be nearby, but we ended up being about 15 minutes' walk to the town centre rather than 10, and slightly up hill. And considering the price of the hotel, we also would have appreciated help bringing our suitcases to this new location. However, the most uncomfortable part of this stay were the rooms. As new and gorgeous as they are, they were not at all conducive to getting ready. The lighting is very dim, so you can't see a thing. The bathroom mirror is encased in the wall, so it feels much too far away to be able to do your hair/makeup. And the only other mirror was one that was placed across the bed on a very low table side, so I quite literally had to sit on my knees to get ready (not to mention in the dark). If you're looking for simply a gorgeous room and don't mind not being too near the town centre, you'll enjoy your stay--and I highly recommend the breakfast. But to the ladies especially, if you haven't packed light and, like me, need to see what you look like before heading out for the day, expect a trek to your room (no lift) and nowhere to get ready comfortably, which is what one expects at hotels in this price range.

Great location and the main hotel has a lot of character, particularly the reception and communal areas. The outdoor seating area at the front is also a nice place to sit.

The main hotel itself looks like it needs some exterior maintenance. Sitting at the front, you can clearly see areas of worn timber and badly chipped paint, which takes away from what should be a very attractive building. Our rooms were in a separate house away from the main hotel. It was well maintained from outside, but it didn’t have the same character or feel as the hotel itself. Some electrical outlets in my parents’ room also didn’t work. Breakfast was disappointing and the service felt very understaffed. Tea and coffee we ordered never arrived and the Eggs Benedict was extremely vinegary and poorly prepared. Overall, it didn’t feel up to the standard we expected for the price.

Der Wellnessbereich war geschlossen (war allerdings auch angekündigt). Das Restaurant war leider erst ab 17 Uhr geöffnet.

Notre chambre était luxueuse et magnifique. Les salons de l'hôtel sont incroyables de beauté. La décoration de cet hôtel est vraiment exceptionnelle.

Je n'ai pas réalisé en réservant ce que signifiait "annexe", je pensais que c'était un bâtiment indépendant dans les jardins de l'hôtel. C'est en fait une autre adresse, plus loin sur la route, du coup, on n'a pas forcément envie de revenir à l'hôtel pour dîner ou prendre un verre. L'emplacement est pratique, pas loin du centre ville et sur le chemin du parc (nous avons été à pied) mais le quartier n'est pas joli.

Wardrobe very small and short no where to hang a dress, no bin in the bathroom which is essential I feel, and for the quality of the facilities an upgrade on toilet tissue, haven’t seen paper like that since gaa pitch toilet in70s. Don’t advertise mini bar as feature as 1 bar, open bag of crisps and 4 cans not a mini bar, nice surprise if u not expecting a minibar.

Everything. Staff greeting us on arrival were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is gorgeous, beautiful decor and spotless clean. We were given a complimentary upgrade and the room was fabulous. Breakfast was 10/10 as were the staff serving it. Will definitely be returning here again.

Großartiges Hotel in Killarney. Tolle Ausstattung sowohl im Zimmer als auch im ganzen Hotel. Tiefgarage vorhanden. Sehr nette Atmosphäre und freundliche Mitarbeiter. Fußweg in die Stadt 10 Minuten.

There was no dressing table or area to do your hair or makeup. Lighting in bathroom wasn’t sufficient. There was no socket to plug in a hairdryer anywhere near the full length mirror. Also no space in wardrobe fir dresses which meant they were creased and there was no iron in the room. We had booked the Townhouse but we were in the annex room so that was disappointing

Breakfast was good, staff was helpful, room was comfortable and once in the room any noise did not carry.

Some American guests in large groups were very loud. The beeping from coaches reversing into the car park was annoying. When checking in it would be helpful to be told precisely which lift to use as I got lost trying to find the right room. The layout is somewhat confusing and you want to minimise the carrying of luggage up and down staircases.

La camera era molto bella, peccato non fosse all’interno dell’hotel ma in una struttura a parte.

Eravamo in una struttura separata dall’hotel e quando abbiamo prenotato su Booking questa cosa non era chiara. Abbiamo parlato con la reception e ci hanno detto che non dipendono da loro le informazioni riportate su Booking. Davvero pessimo servizio. Era come se fossimo in un B&B qualunque senza alcun servizio aggiuntivo di un hotel.

The reception staff were lovely.

When i got to my room, the bed was shoved into an alcove, to get into it I would have to have climbed onto the end of the bed and crawled up it to get into bed, and nowhere to put my cpap machine because of the way the bed was, went and asked could I move to another roomthe room, none available. Nor could anywhere else accomodate me for the 3 night. In the end the queen size bed was removed and a single bed put in its place. The light over the bed wasn't workibg had to request a new light bulb. The aircon was right above the head of the bed, and noisy when on. The room itself is badly in need of a facelift. Nothing like the picture on their website. The wall paper is tatty and dismal, the carpet stained, in fact the whole room was dingy. I woke up in the middle of the night with the edge of the radiator jammed into my stomach, left a nasty bruise. Right outside the door to the room is a service lift which tbe staff started using before 9am, banging and crashing, as well as talking at the top of their voices outside the door, so no chance of a sleep in. And it would seem that none of the doors in the hotel cannot be closed quietly, i tried mine to see. Closed quietly when you did it from inside the room, but not when you were leaving the room. The food was good but well over priced for the portions you get. 4* star exprience it was not, I wouldn't recommend Randles, nor will i ever stay there again.
