Sanom Beach Resort - Adults Only

We are staying at this hotel from December 25, 2025, to January 1, 2026, and unfortunately we are disappointed. All rooms have connecting doors, and we can clearly hear the neighbors talking, slamming wardrobe doors, and even showering. During our stay — and we have already been here for six days — the bed linen has not been changed even once. This has never happened to us before in our lives. Housekeeping is poor: toilet paper is not replenished, and neither soap nor shower gel is refilled, so we had to buy everything ourselves. The mirror has been dirty since our arrival and has never been cleaned. There were ants in the room, and we also saw a cockroach. Cockroaches are also running around the hotel grounds. Once, when my daughter was taking a shower, yellow, dirty water started coming out. The water in the pool is cold, so we do not use it. We only use the jacuzzi, but the water there is dirty. Overall, everything looks quite worn out — the towels, the furniture, and the renovation. What we did like: the grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and the reception staff are friendly and helpful.

nice but some rooms are dark, do not like the internal-communal door. Nice rooms, modern and clean, but some are quite dark facing. Biggest worry was the inter joining door (so two apartments can be one) this had no VISIBLE /physical security lock on our side, so was a worry- this door also carried a lot of sound from the adjoining apartment. Later check out was expensive for the value. Very variable rates to book, and booking direct was more expensive? Swimming pool did not have enough sunbeds (and many were 'blocked' with towel hogs that were never removed! Nice quiet location and friendly helpful check in staff. SUMMARY: Nice room and staff, but too many Extra fees (safe, late check out etc) left with bad feeling.

Location is excellent. Rooms are average. Biggest drawdown is paper thin doors between rooms, so you can basically hear a normal conversation from the room next door. I expect better sound proofing than this and it's a shame because if it weren't for this I would consider coming back.

We have stayed here quite regularly, and will continue to several times a year. The hotel is extremely well run, in a great location , very clean and competitively priced. The rooms are a little basic but very comfortable, each room has its own terrace and some rooms are better positioned, in our opinion, it depends whether you want to overlook the pool or like a little more privacy. Great air con. Most importantly , it’s a peaceful well kept development with full amenities. The service from all the team is polite and friendly, they run a tight ship and these guys work VERY hard. The bar food is good. The hotel is well located, bars and restaurants nearby, stumbling distance to/from Yumbo. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, which is why we keep coming back!

The location, outside space, staff and room facilities are great. The only let down for me is the majority of rooms have interconnected doors so you can hear most things between the rooms. The gym is very basic. Just a few dumbbells and a treadmill.

All the staff are very friendly welcoming and helpful. Everything is spotless and the atmosphere is very relaxing.

Check in freundlich Zimmer vor allem das Bad dreckig. Braune Flecken und Stücke auf den hellen Fliesen muss man denke ich nicht akzeptieren. Ich dachte erst dass die Duschtasse alt und abgenutzt sei, nö da war der Dreck nur festgepappt konnte man aber entfernen, habe ich angemahnt, wurde nicht behoben. Vor der letzten Nacht mussten wir frischen Handtüchern hinterherlaufen, Putzfee hat die Toilettenbrille gecrasht ohne Bescheid zu sagen🙈 angemahnt, kein Wechsel .. nie wieder, ab ins Nayra

Av olika skäl uppstod behov av hotellvistelse m kort varsel. Receptionist i särklass som jag tycker speglar hotellets inställning. Jag kände mig priviligerad. Nära till Mercadona storköp 900 m. Gillar jag. Och stilpoäng att man kan få handduk gjord för bad på strand eller pool. Strand ca 20 min promenad. Väl värt promenaden. Pool med bar på hotellet förstås. Bara att välja. Jag kände mig utvald, inget dussin hotell staplad med lgh. Numer som äldre (66 år) saknar jag inte familjer i omgivningen. Är klar med det livet.

Le resort pourrait être un très bel hôtel, mais mon séjour a révélé de nombreux problèmes qui ne sont pas acceptables pour un 4 étoiles. Le ménage est effectué de manière totalement aléatoire : certains jours, tout allait bien avec des petites attentions, d’autres jours il manquait serviettes et gel douche, que j’ai dû réclamer plusieurs fois à l’accueil. Pendant 8 nuits, mes draps n’ont jamais été changés. La chambre m’a été attribuée avec vue piscine (sans que je l’aie demandée), ce qui s’est traduit par un bruit constant, accentué le week-end par des groupes entiers hurlant autour de la piscine. La porte communicante entre les chambres est très mal insonorisée : le bruit des voisins et même l’odeur de cannabis envahissaient ma chambre, ce qui a rendu le repos impossible. Le rapport qualité/prix n’est pas au rendez-vous : petit déjeuner beaucoup trop cher pour ce qui est proposé, restaurant hors de prix pour une qualité moyenne, et un personnel inégal (certains agréables, d’autres nettement moins). Enfin, le dernier soir, j’ai eu la désagréable surprise de trouver des cafards dans la chambre, malgré la présence visible de répulsifs installés. Cela montre qu’il y a un véritable problème d’hygiène. Au final, trop d’irrégularités et de désagréments pour un établissement affichant 4 étoiles. Dommage, car le potentiel est là, mais la gestion et le suivi ne sont clairement pas à la hauteur.

After first time they really fixed it. Love staying here but still have a small issue with to long time at the bar either making drinks or to much small talk with guests when it's busy or not there.

Absolutely stunning place. Rooms beautiful beds comfy aircon amazing. The grounds are immaculate, plenty of sunbeds all day. Food & cocktails reasonable. Chris behind the bar a credit to the team, very polite and hard working lovely young lady 👌

I was a bit disappointed with accommodation. Room was not properly cleaned. Towels and tea not replaced. Sheets not changed. People jumping into pool. Reception staff very friendly bit no sign of a housekeeper.

Second time here and this time with friends. Cannot fault the hotel at all. Pure stunning, the receptionist who checked us in is brilliant and so friendly.

2nd year in a row for us - although only 4 nights this time over Easter. As always friendly reception, clean rooms and kept that way the whole time we were there. Pool a bit chilly this time - great bar and relaxation area. Bali beds and jacuzzi's are great. We like the location - less than 5 minutes to Yumbo centre and a lot of restaurants in the area. 15 minutes walk to the beach. We love it - it suits us and will happily visit again

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were fantastic. The rooms could use a little love. An upgrade to the bathroom, painting of the weeks etc. but still really enjoyed our time

Stayed here in 2023 - it was a good experience, so decided to stay again in 2025. The rooms are starting to show wear and tear, the shower was very frustrating as it flooded the room whenever used.

Nice clean looking hotel. Extra charges for safe and other normal things. Towels poor quality. Beds comfortable. Not enough hangers.

The property was located less than a 5 minute walk from the Yumbo Centre, pool was kept clean at all times and room cleaned everyday. Staff were lovely and helped me contact my shuttle service for my return to the airport. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Excellent place to say, greeted with a lovely reception and smooth check in. Staff were welcoming and friendly all week with a can do attitude. Pool area and Jacuzzi's cleaned frequently, room cleaned daily with new toileties provided too. Air con lovely and cold, bed nice and comfy. My only additional ask would be for a couple of plasic cups in the room in addition to glasses to use around the pool area (but that is a very minor point)

Very very bad! People do not book this accomodation this is a scam. The pictures on the booking websites are totally not what you get there, they made the pictures when it was new, now it is a dirty and poorly maintained accomodation! We arrived here on Sunday 23th march 2025 . After check in we go to the room, it was really dirty and poorly maintained. The smell on the room was horrible. there was mold in the curtains, the walls were dirty, there was a lot of dust and dirty stains. not a healthy environment to stay in. After seeing this we go directly to the reception, they offer us an other room but all the rooms are the same. We try to get our money back but the reception manager is very unfriendly and dont take responsibility. We leaved the accommodation directly and book a other accommodation. We try several times to get a compensation but there is no responsibility from booking.com and the accommodation. The only option for us is too warn other people to book another accommodation! (When the accommodation takes responsibility and pay back my €680,- i will delete this review)

I had an amazing experience, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure every detail of my stay was perfect. The room was beautiful, the pool and jacuzzi was clean and relaxing, The hotel’s location was also perfect, close to Yumbo but still peaceful and quiet. Thanks very much for lovely time

Reallymlovely hotel complex located close to the Yumbo. Pleasant rooms offering tea and coffee facilities and a small fridge. Bathroom with plenty of hot water from a powerful shower. Comfy beds with a douvet and air conditioning in the bedroom. Peaceful communal areas to relax and undwind. This is not a noisy hotel and a great slice of peace away from the madness within the Yumbo.

An excellent place to relax and chill whilst close to the local amenities and entertainment. The rooms and facilities are nicely designed - simple and effective plus the lovely core group of staff, makes this a fantastic place to stay. My 2nd time here - I’ll be back again!

Great location, very close to the Yumbo Centre. Nice spacious property, with attractive pool and Jacuzzi area. Rooms are a shade more shabby than they appear in the pictures. And as previous people have mentioned, the connecting door issue between rooms is definitely a problem. You can hear everything from the neighbouring room, people talking, coughing, going to the toilet, it’s like they are in the same room. There is a great little gym. I had problems with the housekeeping, one day they knocked on the door and I asked them in Spanish to come back in five minutes, as I was heading out, they never did. And almost every other day, when they did clean the room, they never replenished the shampoo and shower gel. It became a joke between me and the lovely evening front desk staff, when I had to go and ask for them, she was full of apology each time, and incredulous by the last evening that housekeeping yet again hadn’t left me any. The check-in process is bureaucratic and interminable. It’s really bad luck if you arrive and there is a queue, I don’t know why it takes so long, much longer than any other hotel I have ever stayed at. So brace yourself for a long wait, even if you are at the front of the queue. It is a nice resort in a great location, but on balance I probably wouldn’t stay there again.

We had a great stay overall. The hotel is lovely, well-maintained, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The jacuzzi was a highlight—warm, relaxing, and a great way to unwind. The atmosphere was peaceful, with no children around, making it a quiet and restful experience. However, there were a few downsides. The cleanliness of the room wasn’t up to standard—the floors didn’t seem to be mopped properly (if at all), and one day, our towels weren’t replaced. The biggest issue was the shower, which kept overflowing and flooding the bathroom. Another drawback was the lack of privacy due to the adjoining rooms. While this setup might be convenient for families, I could hear every movement from the neighbouring room, including footsteps and even bathroom use. Overall, it’s a good hotel with some great features, but the lack of privacy and upkeep of the room let it down.

Expensive, not helpful for early check in or out. Also doesnt do anything nice for special occasions which is very disappointing. Little English speakers also

The staff were all really griendly and helpful. The resort itself seems to be very new and clean. The rooms were spacious and the beds were really comfortable. The pool area was good and had different types of sunbeds including double beds. There was also a few hot tubs

Danke für den super freundlichen Empfang, auch das Personal war überall total nett! Die Anlage ist toll gepflegt, die Zimmer nett eingerichtet, klar, man sieht auch ein paar Abnutzungsspuren – dank einiger unverschämter Gäste, die ihre Zimmer versiffen. Ansonsten perfekt, kann ich nur empfehlen! Danke für den super Aufenthalt.

Der Komplex umfasst ca. 50 Zimmer und ist sehr schön ruhig im Herzen der Stadt

Frühstücksservice war sehr langsam ,nur ein Kellner.. Wir mussten 40 min auf Sandwich,Rührei und Speck warten. Zimmer war sehr schön am Pool und sehr ruhig war es.

Vores ophold var helt fantastisk. Dejligt rent og roligt hotel med lækre værelser. God plads ved poolen og ingen larm. Lidt høj musik ved relax området og lidt højtråbende gæster lørdag hvor folk udefra kunne købe adgang med day pass. Eneste minus ved hotellet var wifi, det virkede aldrig for os på trods af ihærdige forsøg. Og the gym kunne godt være mere veludstyret og større. Fantastisk sted.

Fantastic hotel and great location. Only downfall was they don’t refill the coffee and sugar despite seeing that we are using it daily, also we were self catering with zero cooking appliances or tools, we had to ask for plates and cutlery and they cleaner then took them away and didn’t replace them. Also staff can be a little moody but the hotel itself is really lovely. We had room 1905 which was amazing with own terrace and two steps to the pool, it was like a swim up room, really lovely!

Really nice place to stay. Excellent location. Great beds and pillows - so slept well. Others say about noise through walls. I didn’t notice it but I take custom sleep plugs anyway.

Good standard bungalow style rooms with terrace and nice pool area. Central location 5 min. walk from the Jumbo centre. There were some mistakes in relation to the cleaning but the hotel took full responsibility for this.

Resort nuovo in posizione strategica a 100 metri dal Yumbo, stanza spaziosa e confortevole, personale gentile e disponibile.

First room was not what I expected based on photos. However, next morning they very kindly moved me to a far more suitable room. Lovely, clean and quiet hotel which was just what I wanted. The WiFi throughout the hotel was pretty awful though.

A well located hotel for what we wanted

Lovely place close to everything. Nice pool (but cold in December) and plenty of sunbeds. Quiet and comfortable stay with the Yumbo centre just across the road and the beach within walking distance.

Really good stay. Excellent location. Still quiet and felt secure. Small gym with running machine, bike, dumbbells and a bench. Didn't use any other facilities. Yes there can be some noise from the adjoining room - ie. hearing TV or talking but it wasn't unbearable. I'd suggest if you are traveling with friends maybe do they adjoining room thing together.

Stayed at this resort several times before, the reason we go back is because the staff are friendly and rooms are very clean and modern. The beds are very comfortable.

A really good 3 night stay. Staff were very friendly, rooms were good quality and very comfy heds. Bar does close esrly along with restaurant but plenty over the road. All in all an enjoyable stay and hoping to return again sometime

Clean, tidy and quiet bungalow complex. Well located, very close to Yumbo etc. Easy (long) walk to Dunas. Good for short break. Didnt eat there so cant comment but restaurant looked good.

Friendly staff, cleanliness

Bed is v large and comfortable but rest of fixtures and fittings are getting tired and floors don't look clean enough. Shower floods. No hooks in bathroom to hang towels. No socket on desk to plug in coffee machine. Grey on grey makes rooms feel souless. Outside, the pool didn't look pristine clean and the white paths at funky angles throughout the grounds were tripping hazards. Badly laid plastic grass everywhere.

During our stay there was an electrical power outage. There was no hot water available, no electricity (it constantly surged in & out, on & off) The room was really hot, an unacceptable 28-30 degrees Celsius... due to the air conditioning not working & with no power. No compensation was offered, not even a safe to use (the safe was chargeable) & we had to sleep with our door open wide all night, with all our valuables & belongings on display. No partial refund was offered, not even a complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience whilst staying here. What was purchased was a Deluxe Double room for two people with air conditioning, hot running water and electricity, this is not what we received. It seems a nice enough place. Clean. Newish. The lady on the front desk was also nice enough, not rude... but also not overly compensating.

Very central small all on ground level and central

Really nice and clean. We had a pool view and wold do that again. Theres nothing happening so you can Just relax. Short walk to yumbo. The restauant has great breakfast, but the bar closes early, like 8pm. The rooms are big and we used the mini fridge for our water and drinks.

Wonderful location, very comfortable rooms and excellent pool and bar. Only negative is the AC in the room had a very bright light in the sleeping area that cannot be turned off.

First of all the staff are excellent and very friendly, location is great, short walk to beach and very close to the Yumbo Centre. Never was too busy plenty of beds and four poster covered beds as well as a nice pool and hot tubs. Bar was never really busy, food a little on the expensive side. But in general fab place, I’d say 50/50 between LGBTQI+ members and non-LGBTQI+ members, if that unnerves u don’t stay here - but really don’t stay in Gran Canaria. Overall very positive would recommend

So much we loved here so summarised in bullet points * All accomodation on ground floor so no fighting for lifts * 4 star adults only resort - very quiet when we visited early sept which was a little surprising...so no noise at night etc. * Lovely pools and jacuzzis, fab layout and loads of sunloungers - no fighting to reserve a spot with your towel like some places. * Reception staff extremely helpful * Relaxed chilled out atmosphere * Cleanliness very good. * very close to yumbo centre which is what we wanted but not too close to get the noise. Points for improvement some of the pillows in the room could do with replacing. Sun umbrellas by the pool very unstable we thought they were going to topple over at some point. Washing machine is provided and the maintenance man put a load of clothes on for us - unfortunately the washing power he put in must have been a whitener with bleach as 2 of my t shirts were ruined with marks on them from the oxy detergent used. So if you want to use the laundry there for 10 euros take your own washing detergent as resort said it was included in the cost but this had unintended consequences for my tshirts.

Fantastic accommodation, great location, great facilities, immaculate in cleanliness, friendly staff, comfortable bed, lovely shower, welcoming air conditioning….the list is endless! The pool is welcoming and loungers always available with a very relaxing atmosphere.

Was very nice place to stay. We found everyone who worked here to be welcoming and polite, they also spoke good level of english. There was always someone at reception if you needed anything and they have night security from 9pm, when you use a side door next to main entrance. Rooms are small bungalows which do have joining doors, we didn't have anyone staying in the joining room until the day we left and not sure we would have liked it as much if they had been in there all week, but i think it also depends on the type of person staying there. i do think they try to scatter people around so you dont have people next to each other. Think that will also depends on how busy it is. room was lovely, very modern and light. The bed was very comfortable, was 2 large singles pushed together which is the usual thing. There was a kettle, expresso machine( they give a couple of pods, so either bring some along or grab from shop when here). There was a tv but we never switched on. Room has aircon and it was perfect. Many ppl mentioned about the shower, about how the water running out. There is a shower matt that will help but best solution is to slightly turn down the power on the shower, we did this and never had a problem. Our room overlooked the pool and it was nice at times when quiet but if you like a bit of privacy or less noise from people by the pool then maybe ask for somewhere else. By the pool it was very quiet with no music. Another area with 2 hottubs and a bar with music

Absolutely amazing place it’s like staying in a beach club. Perfect pool jacuzzi and plenty of sun loungers in a beautiful setting. Rooms immaculate beds soooo comfy. All staff so accommodating especially Valeria at pool bar makes amazing cocktails we were addicted to the Sanom covktail. Close to all nightlife but very quiet in resort. 💯we will defo be back 👍🏼

This is an excellent resort.. clean, bright and very friendly. Have stayed here a few times and would return without hesitation. Conveniently situated. Well worth paying a little extra

Nice property but as others have mentioned, the connecting door between rooms is quite loud. Can hear a whisper on the other side.

Big Warm proper swimming pool Big bedroom with mini fridge, Big clean bathroom with double walk in shower, very Hot and powerful water (rain and wand in the shower). Both rooms were modern, clean and fresh. White all round. Good comfortable (double) twin beds Very efficient air conditioning Big double wardrobe for hanging with hangers provided Kettle and Cups (some coffee pods upon arrival) Powerful Hairdryer Room was cleaned every day to a high standard (hang request tag on door) Grounds were cleaned every day ALL staff smiley and happy Reception staff said hello and acknowledged EVERY time, and were VERY helpful. Good, Quiet location Adults only resort so was quiet and peaceful why the minus -1 The safe is Three Euros PER DAY to hire (Expensive cost over two weeks -bad impression). The walk in shower needs a water lip, but the floor towel stops the trickle of water Sly News is the only British speaking TV channel (dozens of German!) Interconnect door (between adjoining apartments) whilst key locked it would be assuring to see a physical bolt lock on the door. Wifi was free and worked (eventually with help of the staff!) but was a very over complicated way to sign in >Sunbeds around the pool were' blocked' by the usual anti-social towel hogs - these SHOULD be removed by staff as there are not enough sunbeds on a sunny day. SUMMARY: The rooms and complex were on par with Four Star hotels we've stayed in Remove the silly little things (safe hire Fee, Retune the TV etc, stop sunbed blocking) and this would be a straight 100% tip; do not book with Expedia as their fee does not include breakfast WOULD recommend to stay again :-)

Everything was great. Loved the pool and the hot tub. The breakfast was excellent.

Very clean and well maintained property. Staff are friendly. Great air con. Bathroom modern. Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. All day availability for sun loungers, day beds and 2 hot tubs near the pools without any problems. Cocktails very nice and reasonably priced. Good range of music played outdoors around pool areas. Didn't eat breakfast here so couldn't give a rating. Fake grass, so less insect bites! Hotel is around 15 minutes walk to the beach. Eating out is easy locally, in the nearby streets, shopping mall or nearby the beach at reasonable prices. This complex is all at ground floor level and is relatively small compared to the high tower hotels nearby, but is cosy, quiet and intimate if this is what you need. Good hotel for couples or solo break. The negatives - breakfast is a little expensive considering you need to choose individual breakfast plan, continental, full English or American style. For the price a buffet style would be more appealing. Breakfast time is a little later/shorter than usual from 9am - 10.30am being a smaller complex. For those 2 reasons I dined out. Dissapointing no English language TV channels. Download your movies in advance. Reception opening hours 9am - 11pm, which could prove to be a little inconvenient. So if you need to check out early before reception opening time, do it the evening before! Otherwise side door is accessible. Emergency info on the wall outside reception. I would have no problem staying here again. Lovely!

Thank you for an excellent stay. The pool areas were super clean, staff excellent. Constant cleaning and looking after the property. We had a basic room but it was fine. So close to Yumbo and loads of restaurants. We loved it here and would stay again. Very peaceful considering Yumbo was so close (basically across the road) but we wanted to be close so it suited us. 15 Minute walk to the beach - no problem. Hard to find fault.

Lovely hotel and staff. Rooms were a good size and clean. Pool area were a good vibe and tidied regular. Only negative is that the walls are a little thin and you can hear your neighbours.

Immaculately clean and a great location

Think twice about staying here. Wi-Fi and TV don't work in the room despite 3 days since I arrived to get it fixed. When I got serious with the reception, they left a bottle of wine in the room, nice, but insufficient after 3 days of hassle and Internet still not working. I had to pay to get additional data with my provider. Cleaning questionable and missed every day to refill the coffee cups. The worse of all is when taking a shower and when you are done, the water is running into the room. The bathroom ended up like a swimming pool, and I had to dry the floor with the towels. I came to relax and not having to speak to reception every day to get things fixed, when I expected basis to be working. NOT WORTHY €160 a night. The facilities in the complex are OK, but the swimming pool is full of tree leaves and god knows what.

We loved this hotel, modern, very clean beautifully kept. We had a room by the pool which was great, breakfast was lovely, can’t review the restaurant as it wasn’t open during the week but its minutes walk to hundreds!! The ONLY downside was when had to leave for our transfer bus at 7.50, the reception was locked up and empty of staff! We had come and gone through the reception area so we hurriedly searched for another exit, which we did eventually but of course we had held the bus up and the driver was not impressed! I would like to know why the reception was locked at that time of the morning?

I recently stayed at the Sanom Beach Resort, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The resort seemed to be primarily populated by English and German tourists, lacking the authentic Spanish vibe I had hoped for. While the rooms were acceptable, the thin walls between them were a significant drawback. I could easily hear my neighbors, including the sound of flushing toilets, which impacted the overall comfort and privacy. To add to the disappointment, the hotel only provided coffee pods, and when I requested teabags, I was told there would be an additional charge. This struck me as unreasonable, as most hotels typically offer a variety of complimentary beverage options. The towels provided were also notably dirty, suggesting a lack of attention to cleanliness. Moreover, the pricing of the hotel did not align with the quality of the services and amenities. The Jacuzzi, a feature I was looking forward to, was unexpectedly closed during my stay, adding to the overall disappointment. In conclusion, I found the Sanom Beach Resort to be overpriced for the experience it offered. The lack of a Spanish ambiance, thin walls, additional charges for basic amenities, and cleanliness issues make it challenging to recommend this resort to others.

My staying was really, really nice: everyone was very professional, efficient & friendly and, if I am allowed, I would like to mention Maria and Joel in particular. Thank you to all! I have no hesitations in recommending Sanom Beach Resort to anyone looking to spend a nice, relaxing holiday without... screaming kids around. It needs to be said, because that's a huge PLUS! Great value for money too.

Hotel have nice feel, staff excellent, only issue is rooms have no windows, room very dry during night and no fresh air unless you leave patio door open which anyone can access
