Central location for medieval city

Room very basic, no shower, difficult access to room .Local Parking limited to one and a half hours

The location at the heart of the old town is perfect, our Room was beautiful with a fantastic view. We were welcomed at the hotel and at the lovely brasserie opposite the stunning cathedral. The walled medieval centre is so exceptional I would hope to go back

Die zentrale Lage liegt gut im historischen Ortskern. Die Kathedrale und Restaurants sind sehr gut fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind authentisch und renoviert, was in diesen historischen Gebäuden sicher nicht einfach ist Unser Zimmer war im Dachgeschoss und geräumig. Das Frühstück war ausreichend. Es wird auf die Zufriedenheit des Gastes geachtet. Nette Ansprechpartner.

Alles okay. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche ist ein wenig lau, lässt sich aber sicherlich in diese Gebäuden nicht ändern.

Uriger Altbau, sehr gemütliche Räume, ganz tolles Haus, sehr netter Hotelier, leckeres Frühstück.

The man that ran it was superb. He has difficulties with the road works outside, the lack of on street parking and the extreme heat. He did his best to overcome them all.

Nothing. It was an historic building with all the shortcomings that might ensue but it was a pleasant stay.

Le petit déjeuner est vraiment trop basique. Pain, beurre, confiture et un croissant pourraient être complétés avec quelques fruits, yaourts, du fromage, pain rustique ou gâteau local et ce serait parfait;)

J'ai apprécié le contact très humain et simple avec le proprio qui est aux petits soins pour nous. L'authenticité des chambres qui baignent dans leurs jus au sens positif. La literie est confortable et l'hôtel est bien situé. Le déjeuner est simple avec de bons produits (baguette fraiche, croissant,...)

Het ontvangst was erg leuk! De locatie is top. De tips die we kregen waren leuk. Het is een perfect dorpje voor een tussenstop. Het hotel had een heerlijke Franse sfeer met leuke details in de meubels en het was stil. Het bed was 1.60m breed wat top was en ook lekker zacht, maar wel met support.

Omdat de prijs gewoon prima was, waren we ook minder kritisch op wat minder was. De douche bijvoorbeeld stelde niet heel veel voor, maar vonden we prima voor dit bedrag. Mochten ze er wat aan doen, dan heel graag.

Empfang und Frühstück war sehr nett und freundlich. Die Art, wie das alte Haus vorsichtig und ohne Riesenaufwand renoviert wurde, hat mir gut gefallen. In meinem schönen schlichten Zimmer habe ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt.

Empfangsbereich und frühstücksraum fand ich nicht so angenehm und düster.

Erg vriendelijkehost in dit al wat ouder pand. De kamers waren goed proper en voldoende uitgerust. We kregen de keuze tussen een kamer met bad of een kamer met douche. Het ontbijt was prima en goed voorzien van alles.

Hotel très ancien , 2 étages donc pas d'ascenseur .Ce n'est pas ce que l'on recherche en venant ici . Hotel dans une rue médiévale pavée , mais très calme avec beaucoup de charme

The place is a gem. Historical. Fascinating architecture. Kind, welcoming, and accommodating staff. Close to everywhere you want to be in a town like Laon. Not one single reason not to come back!

Wonderful character to this old property, perfect location, good parking in the square a minutes walk away, lovely guy who runs the place. We enjoyed breakfast. Our suite was top floor and was really spacious. So so close to the cathedral and a lot of restaurants.

L hotel est situé en plein centre de Laon, tout près du parking de l Hôtel de Ville et proche de la cathédrale. L accueil y est excellent, le petit déjeuner (français) est vraiment satisfaisant. Le lieu a un certain charme, les couleurs sur les murs de la chambre ont été bien choisies.

Comme il faisait très chaud, nous avons dû ouvrir les fenêtres pendant la nuit, mais la rue est bruyante (noctambules). Tout en veillant à garder son charme, l hôtel gagnerait à quelques travaux de modernisation.

Sense of history of the building. Great breakfast. The staff/ our host was excellent. Location is a stones throw from the cathedral.

Our host Mathieu Lefevre was a perfect gentleman, he was always willing to help in any way possible & nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was comfortable & the building has a rustic charm & is steeped in history . .

There was nothing to dislike.

We have stayed at Les Chevaliers before and we were happy to return. There are many free public car park spaces around the town from which you have a short walk to the hotel. We stayed in a characterful attic room overlooking a courtyard and rooftops, with beams and a winding staircase to access it. The hotel is right in the heart of Leon. The owner is very kind and helpful and speaks perfect English. The breakfast was also good. We also enjoyed the 14th July celebration fireworks which could be viewed from the ramparts.

There is some building work going on in the street outside the hotel. The TV reception was poor. There was no shower gel / soap in the room.

De ligging was perfect, midden in de oude kern van Laon. Het is een mooi een rustiek hotel waarmee je meteen de sfeer proeft van mooie oude stad.

Het ontbijt was aan de karige kant, wat kant en klare kaasjes, het brood was wel heel lekker. Parkeren was even zoeken wat mogelijk was.

Amazing building! Great location.

We have stayed in this hotel many times previously but this is the first time booked through booking.com The hotel is perfectly located in the historic centre of Laon which itself is a beautiful medieval city. It is a great stop over destination on the way from or back to the ferry or tunnel in Calais. The City is very much an up and coming destination with new bars and restaurants having opened since we were last there. The hotel is quirky in the best possible way and we will be back there soon.

Our room had an old bath tub which was not conducive to a quick morning get away.

Charmant en eigenzinnig hotel! Enthousiast en behulpzaam personeel. We mochten een kamer kiezen omdat we als eersten incheckten die dag. Dat was heel prettig! We kozen een rustige en fijne kamer aan de achterzijde. Ondanks hitte en geen airco goed genoeg te koelen. Sfeervolle inrichting en heerlijke bedden. Wij komen zeker terug!

Sanitair is wel toe aan een update. Maar prima voor een kort verblijf.

Das urige Hotel liegt in einer Seitengasse zur Flaniermeile mit schönen Restaurants und Geschäften. Zimmer war sauber und ruhig und angenehm trotz großer Hitze und hatte alten Flair. Frühstück war lecker und mal nicht vom Buffet. Sehr nettes Personal. Sehr gerne wieder. Parkplatz eine Minute vom Hotel und frei parken.

Such a beautiful hotel, the pictures don't do it justice! The room was spacious and the bed was comfy The staff could not be more helpful. The town is really interesting and the cathedral is a must.

The is hotel is in a great location in the middle of the town. You can park in the square for free (you need to leave a clock in your car) for a maximum of one and a half hours during the day. The hotel also has a garage close by. This is a very old building, full of character but with a very steep and winding staircase. The staff are very helpful and the breakfast was the standard croissant, bread, fruit juice and coffee. I liked the hotel and will go back but the bathroom was definitely in need of refurbishment. My room at the back of the hotel had a great view.

The location is fantastic. Close to the ramparts and the Cathedral. Matthieu was very welcoming and friendly.

Le manque de climatisation. Malheureusement mon séjour s’est déroulé en période de forte canicule. La température des chambres était intenable.

Якщо ви приїдите до готелю у проміжок часу з 12:00 до 16:00, то будети сидіти під зачиненими дверима, бо рецепція не працює.

friendly and available staff. Location excellent. we were in an attic room that remained comfortable despite the heatwave. A fan was provided and being high up a through breeze ame in the windows.

The street itself is undergoing renovation work as some of the buildings are in need of repair. There is some noise and obstruction, but that didn’t impact our stay. I’m sure it will be wonderful when finished.

A lovely hotel full of character. Although it is located in the middle of the town, it is incredibly quiet. The owner gave us a very friendly welcome and was happy to give advice. Parking in the square next to the hotel is easy but you need a blue disc. However there is a lot of free parking in Laon so you will find plenty of places nearby. Breakfast is a classic French breakfast but good value for money.

A lovely quirky hotel in a 16th century priest house. Our host was very welcoming, even giving us a choice of rooms as we were the first to arrive that afternoon. The room was very comfortable and quiet with a spacious bathroom. Breakfast was great with fresh juice, tea, coffee, bread, pastries, jams and cheeses. Les Chevaliers is in the centre of town with parking nearby. The city is a must see and there are plenty of great restaurants.

I loved the fact that this hotel is the opposite of bland chain hotels. It's located in the medieval section of Laon in a narrow street of ancient buildings, some of them now unoccupied. The rooms are individual and quirky - my wardrobe door didn't shut but who cares when you have lovely wooden shoe tree lamps and winding wooden stairs! If I stayed again - which I'd love to - I'd ask for the room at the very top, on the third floor - the views are spectacular. We arrived with two bicycles which were welcomed in by the proprietor - he could not have been more helpful. I had a minor injury and he looked up Sunday pharmacies as well as giving us guidance about what to see in Laon - a beautiful town with a wonderful cathedral and excellent restaurants.

Das Hotel ist alt und alles ziemlich dunkel.59 teils enge Stufen bis zum Zimmer unterm Dach. Am Abend musste man das Handy nutzen, um das Schlüsselloch zu finden. Gegenüber eine Baustelle. Morgens konnten die Bauarbeiter ins Bad schauen. Frühstück minimalistisch, halt französisch.

Der überaus freundliche Empfang, die perfekte Lage mitten in Laon, das eher an ein Gästezimmer bei Freunden, als an ein Hotelzimmer erinnert.

Ik werd er zeer gastvrij ontvangen op mijn pelgrimstocht. Ik mocht mijn rugzak al vroeger in het hotel in bewaring geven, zodat ik de stad kon verkennen zonder rugzak. Ik werd zeer vriendelijk geholpen bij alle vragen die ik had. Authentieke plek om te verblijven.
