This was the perfect romantic beach escape. The beach view is simply the best, and waking up to the ocean every day was unforgettable. The staff gave us true 5-star service from start to finish. We cannot wait to come back!

The swimming pools were very poorly maintained - no lifeguard, water was murky and adult lap pools had physical rubbish dumped by irresponsible guests.

The location is very stratergic, near to Teluk Cempedak.

I think during breakfast around 9am i need to wait for 20-30 minutes before i can get my table. The food is a lot of choices, only the waiting time is unacceptable for the price.

Un ringraziamento speciale al cameriere Charles, allo chef Amir e allo chef Nas, che hanno saputo regalarci un’esperienza straordinaria.

Refreshments provided at the lobby area. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Liked the toiletries provided. Had choice of 2 pools within the hotel and the beach is just a few steps away. Hotel staff were polite and very helpful. Was greeted with smiles throughout stay. Enjoyed seating facing the sea and enjoying the sea breeze when dining at the hotel's restaurants. Do make reservations if want to have the buffet BBQ.. Hotel is a 5 minute walk to various eateries. Try Hoi Yin for their curry laksa. Chukka Lounge offered a 2-piece duet who provided entertainment in the evenings.

There were not enough deck chairs at the poolside. Lamb and beef at the BBQ buffet was too tough. Air Con in the room does not switch off if room card is not inserted (though some guests may like this).

The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of food to choose from. Everything tasted great, and we really enjoyed the selection. It was definitely one of the highlights of our stay!

I was disappointed with the long wait for the room. We arrived at around 3:25 p.m. but only managed to get into our room at about 4:30 p.m., which meant we had to wait for more than an hour. We were already very tired after our journey, so the delay was quite frustrating. In addition, the extra bed that we had requested was only delivered to our room at around 6:00 p.m. I hope the hotel can improve its check-in process and room preparation for future guests.

Love the ambience and vibe! The hotel room was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. Accessible to the beach, but I kinda wish the hotel had its own private beach exclusively for hotel guests.

Limited parking space. Had to park outside as the parking area was fully occupied.

I like everything about the place. The staff are very friendly and respectful. I love the whole experience there. The food was excellent. The beach is perfect and very clean too. I love the quietness and relaxation there.

The building doesn't have much sound proofing. You can hear quite loud if someone moves their furniture or walking or kids' running. One night, neighbour downstairs ring our bell telling us that we moved the chair and it's too loud that their kid can't sleep. We definitely not renovating in the room. Just pulling out chairs. Maybe hotel can think about this matter to improve. Carpets or anything that absorb the sound.

Everything! It was perfect! Food was great, people were great with full of respects and smile a lot. The beach was very clean and perfect! I just love everything about the place. Would love to come again for short getaway!

The lack of soundproofing wall and floor. We hear so much furniture moving sound and kids' running and jumping around. A neighbour came rang our bell to tell us that we moved the chair too loud when it was just pulling the chair out. I don't mind and can still tolerate the sound, but when neighbour came to us like we are doing some major renovation there - i don't feel quite comfortable with it.

The property is dated, which is not an issue, however it was obvious they have a cockroach infestation as we came across more than a few, large ones on the balcony/terrace area which put us off spending time outside to enjoy the breeze in the evenings, also came across a small cockroach in the room itself. The breakfast looked very appetising, but lacked quality and did not taste as good as it looks. It’s also a shame they serve such bland fruits, that it seems like somebody is benefiting financially from procuring such low quality produce.

I had requested for a separate rate as I realised I did not need breakfast included in my room rate. I requested this more than a month ago before my check-in date, but when I checked in, I was told this request could not be accommodated (they probably didn't even acknowledge or follow-up on it when sent).

breakfast is nice, but less of attractive for kids. the kids club/room also boring for kids 10 yo and 7 yo

Had such a nice stay here! Really love the facilities—everything well maintained and super comfortable. Location pun best sebab dekat dengan beach, memang perfect for a chill getaway 🌊 Got a seaview room and it was spacious, so worth it. Bangun pagi terus nampak view laut, sangat calming 😍 Staff semua baik-baik and very helpful, service memang tip top. Food pun sedap! Lunch set dulang puas makan, and breakfast lagi best sebab makan with a view. Overall memang enjoy, definitely will come again!

every thing was nice i have been staying here for several occasions and i travel from india only to stay here, the staff and the management particularly the GM was very kind and several people in the hotel were superb

i came at the time when the hotel was full and there were some festivals at that time so the price i paid was double next time i want to find out the good time so that i also don't spend too much for the rooms etc

Excellent staff, especially Arun from Nepal on a traineeship was very helpful and approachable. Beautiful area and accommodation comfort and cleanliness was excellent. The two restaurants were enjoyable and particularly enjoyed the Italian restaurant. Staff were very attentive and friendly.

The pools were lovely but sadly they needed an adult only and a children’s pool. If family want to throw balls around and splash and scream that’s fine, but not for adults who want to enjoy a quieter area. The facility offered a deli which showed pictures of different types of breads and sadly there were no bread or savoury options whatsoever, only drinks and cakes. This hotel could offer so much more if it was marketed correctly to overseas travellers as it is such a beautiful area. With the deli offering light snacks, sandwiches, toast products and healthy meals would go a long way. Also, perhaps a wellness retreat program utilising the extra function rooms for yoga, Tai Chi, etc. or the beach areas on fine days perhaps. The Sampam Bar could also publicise promotions on beer and cocktails e.g. buy one beer at 30 ringgit, buy the second at 20 ringgit, etc or happy hour prices. The way this is structured for the Malaysian families is fine, but this depends on whether this company wishes to incorporate more overseas visitors and expand tourism for the area.

Breakfast was good. Beach is excellent. Just a few steps from the swimming pool. Staff are extremely polite and friendly, not to mention helpful.

Would love to have seen a kids' pool with playing facilities like slides. There is no valet parking which should be considered by the hotel.

My family and I recently stayed at Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort and had a wonderful experience from check-in to check-out. A special thank you to Muhammad for his friendly service and for helping arrange our 3 rooms on the same floor which made our family stay much more convenient. The King Sea View room was clean, comfortable and offered a beautiful view of the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed the seafood buffet dinner which had a great variety of food, and the beach atmosphere at night was simply fantastic. Breakfast at Kampung was another highlight. Thank you to Izzati for recommending the nasi kerabu, solok lada and ayam bakar - they were absolutely delicious. Chef Kala was also very warm and hospitable and her roti bawang with dhal gravy was excellent. Finally, thank you to Ariff for the smooth check-out process and the recommendation to visit Kula Cakes. What stood out most throughout our stay was the genuine friendliness and hospitality of the staff. Everyone was welcoming, helpful and always smiling. My entire family enjoyed the stay tremendously and we are already planning to return for a longer holiday in the future.

Honestly, there was very little to dislike about our stay. The service, cleanliness, food, facilities and overall hospitality exceeded our expectations. If there was one thing we would change, it would simply be to stay longer as one night was not enough to fully enjoy everything the resort has to offer.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The pool is absolutely the steal, with two large pools that are very kid-friendly and direct access to the beach as well.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the hotel. Before our arrival, I had requested a complimentary birthday cake for my wife’s birthday. Although my booking confirmation acknowledged the request, the hotel informed me that they had not received it. It wasn’t a big issue, as I understand complimentary requests are subject to availability. The room was comfortable, but the bathroom felt quite small. We also noticed that a few corners of the room showed signs of wear and damage, which could use some maintenance. Overall, the stay was enjoyable, and I hope the hotel can improve these small details to provide an even better guest experience.

I like about the location and amenities around.

I did not like the service of the staff. As our toilet was clogged and not able to use it at all. The staff moved us to another room which did not mee our expectation (We were staying in a connected room, but she moved us to a seperate room with my families). It wasted our 3-4 hours just waiting and moving and packing. Truly disappointed with the room and the service. Wasted the whole evening and our kids were not able to enjoy at the beach at all!

The staff is very helpful from the counter to the bellboy . The room was ok .

The aircond need a bit of time to be cold, the price is a bit pricey. The bed ok not soft .

The view and comfortness of the room..this place has literally become our 2nd home..

Overall was good, relax. Staff hospitality was good. Can see sunrise at the beach.

- room aircond was not strong - if there 1 more chair fr the round table will be perfect. - morning breakfast has lots of varieties but the food quality or taste if 5 star is good i can only give 2 star. Nasi padang - rice no taste, roast chicken too hard no taste. Waffle too hard no taste, curry dishes taste too light.. kopi tarik worst than i drink at mamak, i am not sure the kopi is kopi o or kopi susu tarik - jangan jimat serbuk kopi. Come on Hyatt Regency.. u can do better quality.. Some of the pillow need to change, the pillow has less stuffing. Room a bit too dark. No light at the wall mirror.

I likes the hotel and pay Rm1k++ only to get view tennis court.

Great hotel for a stay in Kuantan. Right in the beach in a lovely spot. The hotel has good facilities for eating and drinking and there is also a great bar nearby (The Ranch) and a fabulous Mexican restaurant next door. This gave us lots of choice. Hotel staff were all great.

The sea view is definitely worth it but the design of the balcony limits view when sitting down due to a think wooden bar (see photo) Drinks/ food a bit pricy. Other than that perfect.

No gym. Room door card keep failing. Not allowed to sit in yr cafe until official open hrs.

Location . Smack on the beach . Can hear the beautiful waves at night . Good balcony . This time they placed us fronting the bar. Music was abhorrent. Ai music . Noisy till 12 pm.

The quality of the food. Must hire experienced chefs and not graduates. Hotel must stay maintained and rooms clean all the time . The air conditioning system has to be totally changed. Sounds like a jet motor!
