Location, food, staff, especially Isabel who is I believe the director also at the reception. She made sure everything went smoothly every days, from breakfast to dinner.

The view was fantastic. The staff very friendly and helpful, very quite and relax.

Die Lage unseres Zimmers war sehr gut, im 3. Stock. Ebenfalls war die Aussicht wunderbar. Die Infos durch die Rezeption waren sehr gut, auch war das Personal an der Rezeption sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Nachtessen und der Service waren ausgezeichnet.

Keine Blumen im im Eingangsbereich, nicht vor oder ums Hause, nicht im Zimmer, auch nicht an der Rezeption. Sehr viel Unkraut auf den Terrassen. Schmutzige Scheiben. Mit einem Teil des Frühstückpersonal muss man Englisch sprechen. Das Frühstück lässt zu wünschen übrig, liebelos, keine einheimischen Speisen. Das Brot war nicht knusprig, sondern lahm. für ein 4-Sterne Haus erwarte ich u.a. Walliser Trockenfleisch und Eier von einheimischen Hühner. Auch gibt es keine Spiegeleier oder Omeletten. Der Walliser Charme fehlt total im ganzen Hause.

An excellent hotel no less. For those interested in experiencing Swiss peace and quiet, this is exactly the place. The rooms are equipped and decorated to a high standard. The room we received faced an amazing mountain view with the ringing of bells hanging from the necks of cows in the background. Beyond that, it is very quiet. The main thing that can be noted is the level of service. We arrived at the hotel at 10:00 PM, when the reception closes at 6:00 PM. The hotel manager and receptionist Elizabeth, who can be written an entire review about, came especially from her home to welcom us. An amazing person who did everything and beyond to make us satisfied and to make our stay at the hotel an perfect experience. The hotel has an excellent restaurant for dinner that is nothing less than excellent. We sat outside facing the view of the mountains. We paid 81 CHF including wine. The service in the restaurant is also excellent and at a high level. Since we arrived at the beginning of the summer season, it was very quiet and peaceful. From what I understand, it is very busy in winter since there is a ski resort and the cable car is in front of the hotel.

There is a daily charge for car parking.

Personnel très sympathique et accueillant. La chambre superbe avec une immense terrasse, bon petit déjeuner. Mini-bar très varié, et très tentant! Restaurant très bien, même si mes spaghetti n'étaient pas al dente.

Le SPA et la piscine en particulier sont un peu petits par rapport au nombre de clients dans l'hôtel: pas facile de trouver de la place à certaines heures.

Leider waren die Wände im Hotelzimmer waren sehr hellhörig, sodass man nachts deutlich mitbekam, wenn sich andere Gäste in den Gängen aufhielten.

The staff was extremely professional and nice, the menu for the day was amazing every day. The hotel is super pet friendly, so we all enjoyed our stay very much and looking forward to our next trip at ONYA.

My recent stay at Hotel Onya in Switzerland was truly exceptional, far surpassing any expectations set by its online presence. The photos, while lovely, simply do not do the hotel justice; it's infinitely warmer and more inviting in person, creating an immediate sense of comfort. The views from the hotel are nothing short of incredible, offering breathtaking panoramas that made every moment feel like a postcard. Beyond the stunning scenery, the hotel's restaurant delivered an unparalleled culinary experience. The food was, quite honestly, the best I've had in all of Switzerland, a testament to their exceptional quality and skill. However, the true highlight of my stay, and what made Hotel Onya truly shine, was Isabelle. She was an absolute delight – consistently warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Her genuine hospitality and delightful demeanor made every interaction a pleasure, and the owners are truly fortunate to have her representing their establishment. The waitstaff throughout the restaurant was also remarkably friendly and attentive, further enhancing the overall experience. After spending five days exploring Switzerland, our time at Hotel Onya was unequivocally our favorite part. I am already planning my return, eager to experience the hotel and its surroundings in the winter, to enjoy the snow side rather than just the hiking. For anyone seeking an unforgettable stay in Switzerland, Hotel Onya comes with my highest recommendation.

It was absolutely amazing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent and the rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. The hotel itself was directly across from the ski lift, so we were on the slopes within minutes. We thoroughly enjoyed the extensive & beautiful Wellness area and wish we could’ve extended our stay.

European pillows need to be firmer

The hotel falls short of a 5-star standard. There is no staff available after 9:45 PM, and no drink options are offered beyond that time. Although the restaurant claims to have 13 Gault Millau points, it's unclear how they were earned, as the food was significantlly disappointing.

We arrived at Onya after a stay in Austria - same kind of hotels. And we can see that our hotel industry is no longer what it was in Switzerland… prices, quality of services… Exemple : we never paid a parking in Austria (hôtels and SPA 4 and 5 stars). We try to found someone at the reception for 10 minutes… no one. When we entered the room with the receptionist, she was surprised (like me…) by the heat in the room even if the sky was cloudy she said… it means that no one checked the room before our arrival. They have incredible blinds with easy-to-orientate slats for the sun’s ray. So use it ! when it’s hot and you have an arrival. The heat in the room was very unpleasant and we really had a bad night. The menus Gault&Millau : we were disappointed. The pool is too cold and you have to ask if you want use the sauna. As they know people arriving after hiking at the end of the day they should turn them on at least from 3pm.The jacuzzi makes a lot of noises when its on and we were about 8 peoples in the same time and we felt a little bit too crowded. The area is too small. And facing a room where people had a meeting ?? It doesn’t invite swimming. Anyway the pool is cold.

Just a beautiful hotel in stunning surroundings! Super friendly staff, they even called me up when I was a late check in, to ask if they should prepare some late night dinner! Nice breakfast, great pool area and outdoor terrace. Will most definitely be back in this Mecca for all things outdoors!

Unfortunately the sauna was out of service during the three days of my stay (during high season). I booked this hotel because I wanted to go to the sauna after skiing. My complaints were not well received.

Our experience was amazing! It was wonderful to be greeted by the owners and taken care of by the staff. The location is superb, the rooms are modern and well-equipped. The view is just stunning, overlooking the mountains and the village. It was a nice bonus to take a cable care ride for free and enjoy the views from above. The spa offered a great variety and a relaxing jacuzzi. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was delicious with great service.
