Our lanai room had an extra vanity outside of the restroom and it was very handy for our family to have that. Location and amenities were excellent. Friendly staff. Plenty of nice lounge chairs by the pools. Shoe storage and showers by the boardwalk to rinse sand off.

Did not have room ready at checkin even though it was late in the evening. Did not follow up on a request for a late checkout due to not being able to get in the room until late. We received no response although they said they would get back with us after checking with the manager.

Nothing around close for doing a walkabout. I guess they planned it that way so you would pay double the prices for hotel amenities. Last visit for me.

The good: The location is great and so is the beach. There are lots of lounge chairs around the pool facing the beach, which is very nice. The bad: chairs and umbrellas on the beach have to be rented for $50 each. The restaurant food not great and everything is ridiculously overpriced. Probably our best meal was at the sushi restaurant. The ugly: The breakfast buffet is horrible and horribly expensive. Liquid fake scrambled eggs and a bunch of other tasteless greasy stuff for $35 per person. Tip: take an Uber to Publix for $12. Load up on groceries that you can keep in the fridge and heat up in the microwave. That literally saved the day for us.

What a wonderful experience in San Destin. I have been there many times, but this one was special. Jason, the Director of Activities at the resort noticed our family struggling to navigate the grounds and stopped what he was doing to give us an overview and make sure we had our bearings. He even made some recommendations on resturants and activities that we might want to check out during our stay and gave us the name of one of his team members (Jake) who could help us with anything else. Jake helped us get a great spot on the crowded beach! We won’t stay anywhere else on future trips. Awesome work Jason and Jake!

The bed in our room was extremely uncomfortable. The mattress springs were so noticeable that they were pressing into my ribs, making it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. I had to get up during the night because I couldn’t stay in bed any longer. Also, although the room was quite small, there was a very large glass coffee table placed in the middle of it. In the dark, I tripped over it and fell to the floor. I don’t think such a large glass table is appropriate for a room of that size, as it creates a safety hazard.

Booked 5 nights of a deluxe lanai room for a grand total of $3600. One of the main reasons I booked this room type (other than walkout first floor) was because it had bunk beds. Upon arrival, there were no bunk beds. I messaged the front desk and their response was that “bunk beds are only available in lanai rooms in the other tower, you should have booked there and we’re 100% sold out.” Obviously you can’t choose which tower you book in, and when I pointed this out the front desk completely ignored me. Their initial response was condescending, rude, and straight up gaslighting. Since there were no other viable hotels in the area, we stuck it out. This > $750 a night room has wallpaper peeling off the walls of the bathroom with visible mold spots and a showerhead from the 1980s. In addition, housekeeping does not do very much. There are two physical glasses in the room, neither of which were ever replaced during our stay, despite requests. One night my daughter wanted room service with my Diamond credit. After calling for over 30 minutes with no answer, and repeatedly calling the front desk only for them to rudely scream “I’ll transfer you” and sending me to a number to nowhere, I decided to just walk over to the restaurant and get it to go. The food is disgusting, inedible, and comes with both a $5 “to go fee” and 15% automatic “to go” gratuity. Another night I chose to use my credit at the bar. It took over 10 minutes to get any recognition from the bartender who proceeded to make the most sugary, weakest, watered down, disgusting $!7 “margarita” I have ever been served. A straight drain pour. I also used two coupons at the breakfast buffet, which will set you back $34/pp and is the same quality or worse than you standard Hampton Inn’s free hot breakfast. The service was again awful – we never saw the server after it took her 10 minutes to bring waters when we were 1 of 4 tables in the entire restaurant – and the food was school lunch quality. The location is great but both the hard product and customer service are the worst at any Hilton property I have ever been to in over 30 years. Good luck getting your device to stay connected to their Wifi, or to get a pool chair when no one enforces the “no holding chairs” rule, or to take a nap with the blaring music from the pool deck.

The location is perfect! They have everything you need in one spot. If you never want to leave to go eat you don’t have to because there are plenty of places at the resort.

Location was a little far from the main part of destin. I'm not a golfer , so that was relevant to our visit. 40 minutes to airport. But we got there in plenty of time , really not much to complain about.

First off, I am a Diamond Member and I’m very familiar with the Hilton Properties. Our Bed/mattress was horribly uncomfortable! The dip in the mattress was so bad that we hardly got any sleep. Also woke up with achy back and neck. Told manager and all they did was rotate the mattress. Our Bathroom Exhaust fan made a super loud noise as if the motor was locked up. Maintenance never fixed. The conditioner bottle was empty - never filled the entire stay. Room stayed HOT the entire time. Thankfully, we brought our own fan, which was a life savor. Also Beach View is mainly pool view FYI. You will get a glimpse of the ocean…. From room 739. The breakfast bar was sub par and $75 for just two people. The pool area was nasty, Hair chucks in the pool, tables were never cleaned off. Melted Ice cream and drink rings on the tables. Never saw anyone coming around to clean after a family got up to leave area. The lounge chairs were obviously worn and stained. We gave our room Number for towels at the pool but not sure why? All the guests put them in the towel bin at and of each day. One day we went to get towels and the girl said “what did you do with the other 3 I gave you?” And we had never even asked for towels yet that day…. Staff at Front desk and waiters were very cordial and nice. Our bellman on last day was Great! The property was dated and overpriced for sure. I give it a Hard Pass.

It's a perfect destination for a family vacation. The hotel is right on the beach, offering easy access to the sand and ocean. There are plenty of activities for kids, including banana boat rides and a floating water playground. The gym is decent, and the beach service is excellent—you can order food and drinks, and they arrive quickly. The Wi-Fi was reliable throughout my stay, which was especially important since I needed to work remotely.

The breakfast was good, but I found it overpriced. It costs $32.95 per person, and even basic beverages like black coffee are charged separately ($4.00). That said, having breakfast at the hotel was convenient and saved us time, allowing us to spend more time enjoying the beach.

Refrigerator in room wasn’t working and needed to be replaced. They replaced it but left the broken one in the room for our entire stay. Also sunk in bathroom was leaking underneath. Checked in and room wasn’t ready so had to come back. Drink prices out of control

12 years as loyal guests, countless stays, and tens of thousands of dollars spent at this resort, and this was by far the worst customer service experience we've had here. The room wasn't the issue. The issue was manager Angelina Nomura's dismissive attitude and refusal to accommodate multiple requests to speak with the General Manager. Loyal Diamond members deserve better than being treated like an inconvenience.

We visited the area and on the 3rd day, it wouldnt stop raining. We investigated hotels w indoor pools along the ocean, and this gem popped up. If we visited this area again, we would book this hotel for our entire stay.

It is located a little bit farther on the shore, however place is coupled with golf fields and other hotels making it a large oasis of beauty and convenience. Food is purchased in several restaurants, however selection of the food is large (different kinds) and food is tasty / good quality.

Everything that I needed was there for me, I did not notice anything that I would complain about.

Paper coffee cups in rooms. Ice cream shop attendant was so miserable we newer went back. Breakfast area servers needs training in customer service, and learn to smile. When staff are miserable you feel miserable to. Mixed drinks has hardly any alcohol in them, stay with strait drinks and beer.

Everything I needed was right there. Didn’t have to leave the property!

End of an Era After staying at the Sandestin Hilton for the 3rd or 4th time, I believe this last time will be mine and my families last. After a poor experience back in 2019, I decided to give the hotel another shot at winning me over. We had a late flight that day and asked for a late checkout and was denied per the general manager. Second time this has happened. I have been a Hilton Honors member since2010. I thought hotel loyalty mattered these days but I guess not. I have had almost 100% success of late check outs with other brand hotels but this Hilton does not cooperate. The Hotel wanted us to stay and use the resort after check out, but of course that’s so we will spend our money at the resort. We will go shopping and dining elsewhere if we can’t use our room for an extra hour or two. Last time we will ever stay at the Sandestin Hilton

We had a wonderful family trip at the Hilton San Destin. The staff is super friendly and helpful, there are tons of convenient food options on site and the food is amazing, the facilities were clean and well kept, and of course the beach, water, and weather were immaculate. This location has been great for our family with young kids.

If you prefer a comfortable and softer lush mattress, this place isn’t for you. Similar to the multiple reviews from other guests, the beds are horrible. They are very firm, lopsided, and you can feel the springs. A resort of this prestige and price point should have better.

This is our 10th year visiting Hilton Sandestin - so obviously we like it if we keep coming back. It’s the place with the most nostalgia for my kids, which is invaluable. The bunk rooms work perfectly for my family of 5, and a hotel experience right ln the beach isn’t super easy to come by, so I value that. All of that said - 1) I’m very disappointed that the same issues remain year after year. Notably, service at the restaurant is abysmal. Our first night, for example, we were one of the only tables. Food took an eternity and, of 3 entrees, one came out a good 10 minutes before the other 2, and was therefore obviously cold by the time the other 2 meals arrived and we all ate together. The beds remaining horribly uncomfortable to the point of not being able to sleep. And it seems very few updates have been made so the property as a whole continues aging. 2) the price, especially when including all fees, is so far from worth it it’s laughable. We continue to come because my work pays for it (conference), otherwise we’d spend our money elsewhere and get a much more upscale experience. Either the price needs to come down - or the experiences needs to elevate.

View was very nice - could see the Gulf from my partial view room. The room itself was very dated - old furniture, etc - and the carpets could certainly use a deep clean. The beach was spectacular.

The pools were always crowded and lounge chair pirates saved seats which was annoying. The resort would do well to discourage this behavior. We also didn't have towels the first day at the pool - they kept running out??? But all in all we went to the beach instead which was 100000% better and the reason we came down to Destin anyway.

I knew when I first arrived and encountered Britt, Bree and Crystal at the front desk that my stay would be magical..I am very big on recieving great customer service and these ladies did not disappoint..I soon found out that everything about this resort is outstanding..I highly recommend

The hotel has been there for awhile and while they have made renovations to the restaurant area, they really need to continue to invest in upgrading the hotel rooms and facilities. Breakfast buffet is completely overpriced but they offer other food options on site.

I was upset that when you book through booking.com I paid extra to have breakfast included for my two teenagers and I. So when I received my three vouchers I thought they were good for 3 days, but that was only for me, the person who booked the room. I was told by the front desk that the breakfast was only included for me and not my two children even though I specifically listed myself and my two teenagers and their ages when I booked. So I was kind of tricked to think that the breakfast included was for all three of us when it was only for just me. The good news is I raise so much pain that they comped my children's breakfasts for the rest of our stay as well. It was very deceptive on booking.com and I want other people to know not to pay the extra to have breakfast included because it is not what you think it is it is only for the person booking the reservation. If I had booked through the hotel website, the staff told me, it would have included all three of us for breakfast. Another reason why I will no longer book reservations through a third party site

I really enjoyed the facility and especially appreciated the convenient beach access. Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating, which added to the overall experience. I also enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor jacuzzis, as well as the beach setup. The only drawback was that I would have liked the option to keep the beach setup for a longer period.

Some members of the staff were not as friendly or accommodating as expected. While relaxing on the deck, we were frequently overlooked, even as guests nearby were being attended to. However, I do want to note that the service on the beach the following day met expectations. I would have appreciated more consistent attention throughout our stay.

Our room was hot. The air wasn’t working after several calls from 6pm to 10pm someone finally came and checked it about 11:00 that night. It was still hot throughout the night. Didn’t cool off till 5 that next morning.

This property is LOUD! Loading/Unloading trucks start at 5:30am. This ruins that coffee with sunrise- even from the 15th floor. Make sure your Beach view isn't also coupled with a parking lot view. I'd also check the events booked. There was a beautiful wedding that started at 9:30am and wrapped up at 3pm Saturday. It was at the pool- so that was the "Music" for the entire day. Hours of long prayers in a foreign language. It was truly beautiful, but I didn't book the vacation to attend the wedding.

The Destin Florida area is a beautiful opportunity to see white sandy beaches, blue water, and perfect weather without leaving the US. The Hilton Sandestin is centrally located to the outlets and main attractions. With that being said, my expectations are high for a Hilton property unfortunately, this property disappoints this time around. To jump right in, we've stayed here 3 times and this was probably the worst stay we've had. Not because of staff; the property, although newly renovated, does not appear to be well maintained. It felt like a budget motel and not a Hilton. Dirt and grime is everywhere, which is surprising as I figured the hotel would be preparing/cleaning for busy season. The room, was located near the elevator and could be loud at times with the laughter of kids or people heading out for the day, which didn't bother us. When we arrived on Saturday April 11, 2026, the bottom bunk was damp and had an unidentified smelly substance on the mattress that had to be removed by maintenance staff. They were very kind, but knocked a hole in the wall retrieving the unidentified substance on the bunk bed. The baseboards in the room appeared to be covered in dust. So much so, that I wiped them down with a Lysol wipe to help as we have allergies to dust. Hair (that wasn't ours) was located in various spaces within the room and on some towels. The beds were lumpy and sagged on both sides, which made for a very uncomfortable sleep. We were told that the mattress would be replaced, but it never happened. Shotty construction work made the shower appear dirty, even after I cleaned it. Housekeeping staff was friendly (Stephainie) and stopped by at around 9 AM each morning. She provided towels, took out trash, and made the bed on days that we didn't have the privacy placard on the door. The last night of our stay, a giant water bug came from what I think was the vent, but honestly could have been due to our balcony door being opened at various times throughout the day. We would possibly stay here again, but I would definitely have to bring my own cleaning supplies to feel comfortable. (Broom, mop, duster, etc)...and I would have to have a non sagging mattress.

Although it was rainy om Sunday, windy and maybe a bit cold, any day at the beach is a great day. Kudos to Shawn, Beth, Jennifer, Kristina and John at the Barefoot Bar - great service, great personalities and in spite of being very busy - kept a smile. Muhamad and Mustafa - outstanding service, thank you. Also, kudos to Tiffany and the chair set up crew - great work in spite of the weather. You were timely, helpful and always greeted us with a smile.

The hotel offered plenty of amenities but I felt as if the staff which were several instances acted deceptively in order to gain to their benefit monetarily

Staff not explaining and helping answer questions and concerns freely. Room not refreshed despite not having a hang tag on the door for privacy, had to call for more towels, checkin host didn’t provide our breakfast vouchers we paid for, being told by restaurant staff that we didn’t pay until I proved it with my booking receipt. Gratuity was included on the breakfast vouchers staff didn’t tell us that instead looked for additional tips. Husbands had difficulty placing a pickup order at the Sandcastle restaurant instead instructed to order from our room where we were charged literally $70 for two pizzas because they wanted to charge service fees to have it delivered to our room. Lastly the pools were not designated for adults only vs family pools because a couple was drunk and making out in front of the kids in the 3ft pool area. Disturbing to say the least.

Honestly, this hotel was average at best and definitely not worth the price or resort fees. The room and bathroom felt very dated, and the “beach view” we booked ended up mostly overlooking the pool with only a partial glimpse of the ocean. Not what we expected. Housekeeping was incredibly disappointing. Our room wasn’t cleaned until around 4 PM, and even then it was barely touched. Towels weren’t replaced, and overall it felt sloppy. To make matters worse, the bathroom didn’t look very clean when we first arrived. The food situation didn’t help either. The restaurant was subpar and the service was slow and inattentive. The buffet especially was not worth the $30/person at all. The outdoor pools were another letdown. They weren’t heated, even though they have the ability to do so, which made it pretty miserable for the kids. Overall, between the condition of the room, poor service, and lack of value, this place just didn’t deliver. Would not stay here again.

Clean hotel with friendly/helpful staff.

We decided to purchase beach chairs with an umbrella late one afternoon. We thought we would sit and relax for a few hours in the afternoon sun. We rented our set up at 4.00 and paid $30. We didn't know that at 5:00 they pick up all of the chairs and umbrellas! I wish they would of have told us that we only had an hour for $30! Beds were not very comfortable and sheets/blankets too thin. Everything thing else was wonderful! We will return to this hotel.

I am only rating the bike rental. It was great and Rachel was very helpful and patient. The bike was in great condition. There was electric and non-electric to choose from.

Loves that it was right on the beach, the restaurants was serving a variety of foods , and the fact that there were restaurants was awesome period the pools and jacuzzis were also very very nice , loved the outside bars also very good
