Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport by IHG

The hotel is in need of a room renovations. The carpet smelled of stale smoke and dirty feet. It was hard to sleep with the odour. The mattresses are hard and lumpy. The floors in the lobby and elevators were sticky. Tracks between the elevator doors were filthy. We went to the bar to have a cocktail before dinner and there was dirty glasses and plates left at empty tables. The staff seemed to be overworked and unable to keep up with the amount of clientele. The location is ideal for early morning flights but it would be better to skip it and find a better hotel in cleaner conditions.

Rooms are clean, but worn out. Carpet is threadbare in places.

My stay at the Holiday Inn was disappointing. The seating in the dining room has been reduced since I was last there, and as a result, the earliest reservation that I could get upon my arrival at the hotel was a two-hour wait. While my single room and bathroom were very small, the room was clean and tidy. However, there were only two hangers provided. Most troubling of all, there was a lot of black mould in my shower stall.

Hotel is very convenient located within walking distance to the Glasgow airport.

Room was freezing ( 17 degrees on entry with fan on high) Thankfully someone from reception came and sorted out the thermostat ( which I had tried to do … but failed) No fridge in room . Position where it should have been was empty . Hence we had no where to store our sandwiches for morning ( as no time for breakfast )

Lovely hotel staff , comfort and food excellent *****

Thanks for the complimentary beverage. Have stayed here many times. Always great!

Great location stay before you fly out of Glasgow

Clean enough

I was just staying one night. My room was clean and the bed comfortable. I liked the convenience of being close to the airport.

Convenient location

The location was amazing. It was so close to the airport, my 80 year old mom could walk it easily.

Not enough plugs in room, hair dryer was terrible 😫

We arrived in the early hours due to a late flight. The lad on reception was extremely helpful.

Room reasonably clean, tired, needing refurbishment,

Very easy 2 minute walk to the terminal.

Messaged to say how bad the place was 10 dats later still not resolved Our room was hideous

Slow meal service .poorly stocked bar

Staff were friendly despite being about 3a.m,explained everything about room and breakfast. Very helpful,as were other staff at breakfast. Can’t comment on parking as didn’t bring car.

Great location for access to and from the airport. The restaurant food was also very nice.

Room clean but quite worn. Carpets are held together with duct tape.

The rooms were nice. I like that the kids had a separate room. The bathroom was dirty, and the shower has mold. Very close to the airport. Like a 5 minute walk, so that was convenient.

Just a quick overnight before a flight. Had nice meal in bar No complaints

Check-in was quick & easy, friendly staff. The room was fairly tired, loose fittings that my husband was able to tighten with his hands so simple maintenance is lacking

No car

Room clean etc, but starting to look a little tired.

Great quality breakfast

Didn't find the girl at reception all the friendly . It seemed like she was lecturing us . The room we had on entry was so hot we couldn't stand being in it . The toilet we had to flush three times every time when used . It was room # 205 facing the terminal high level parking . There was a ramp somewhere in it and when cars went over the ramp it was so noisey . We paid money for a comfortable night before flying out the next morning . This is the second bad report I have written about this Holliday Inn . I stayed there last May and the roon hallway were in such disrepair .

Great breakfast and perfect for airport

Very handy for airport.

Very convenient for our needs to manage jet lag on arrival in the UK. Minutes walk from the terminal with all the amenities.

Fantastic location for an early flight. Staff were friendly and efficient, and the bed was particularly comfortable.

Early breakfast, walking distance to airport

Room was adequate except for one thing the air conditioning never altered despite changing the settings, the room was like a refrigerator.

Clean room , good check in

Property is very convenient for departing the Glasgow Airport. The hotel itself is very tired and needs some serious TLC. We stayed on the fifth floor and the hallway carpets are held down with duct tape. Our room was OK. but the fixtures are very dated and the workmanship in the bathroom was poor. it's a good place to stay if you are leaving early in the morning from GLA but not up to the standards I expect from Holiday Inn

The hotel hard to find -gps kept sending to the holiday in close by. Not good signage at around it either. Front desk staff couldnt answer questions about room. Limited knowledge. I understand small rooms but the bathroom was tiny and old and falling apart. Had to ask for towels not in room for each guest on arrival. Great location for flight shouldnt negate poor service and a run down room.

Bathroom smelled bad. Didn’t seem clean

So convenient that other details seem less important. Great to have a place to park. The bed was very comfortable.

The room was run down and the staff were unfriendly; not the experience I usually have from a Holiday Inn. Coupled with the high price, you’d be better off staying elsewhere.

Room was clean and tidy. So handy to stay at as it is a two minute walk to the airport. The beds are comfortable .

Front staff rude, unfriendly....review your staff's greeting of clients. Reception desk? There isn't even a proper front desk! Tell your reception staff not to wear their coats behind the make-shift reception "desk"-it is a bad, unwelcoming look. Room was cold, the temp controls didn't work. Bathrooms are dirty and worn...you would not want to use the bath or even shower. Some of the fittings like the towel rack was held together with TAPE. It is walking distance to the airport....still not an excuse to stay here. Holiday Inn? '

We had a very unpleasnat night. Couldn't turn the noisy sir-con off and it was blowing out cold air . Had to cover my head with my clothing.. checked in about 8pm for an early morning flight. Some sleep would have been good! John I am getting in direct contact with the hotel.

Came of an early morning Canada flight. Needed sleep badly. The very kind lad at check in pulled out all the stops and got me a room by 11am. Very grateful for that bed and went straight to sleep. So 10/10 for that lad. View from my room at 607 added

Perfect place to stay for early morning arrivsl at airport

Room was very good. TV remote didnt work

Convenient to the airport. Clean room, pleasant, helpful staff.

Thanks

Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, right at the airport . So perfect for an early morning fligjt

Good access to the airport

Our bathroom smelled liked urine, the room was tired and worn. We had a wasp flying around our room. Outside lighting on our early morning walk to airport wasnt very bright, dark in some areas, not safe.

Shoddy, hotel in need of a refurbishment. Mould on curtains dirty carpet, faulty to, dirty and shabby walls

No issues. Good all round airport hotel.

Closeness to airport made travel easy.

Had a gd stay service very friendly

Staff didn't seem interested when havi g dinner never in my life have I ever been served my starter and main course together by the time was finished our starter the main course was cold. Told the waiter when he came over with it we told him the main course would be cold by the time we finished our starter he just said well the chef gave it to me.

No heat in room

We have stayed here many times and have always found it to be spotless. On this occasion there was a long black hair in the bath and someone had spat out toothpaste in the sink which hadn't been cleaned up. Not to their usual standard, but wouldn't stop us going back. Everything else was great

Clean ,warm handy

desperately needs major upgrade

Great location

Stayed for convenience for early flight. Good sized room. Quick check in process

Hotel was perfect for our requirements. Room was comfortable and excellent breakfast. Very polite staff as well. And only 2 minutes from airport. Will definitely use again

Had a lovely stay as usual. The only downside side was I couldn't get into the restr for dinner, but did get room service, which was tasty.

Airport hotel, 2 minute walk to the terminal, perfect

The room itself was old and hadn’t been properly cleaned in what appeared to be a long time. Toilet wasn’t working properly and we even mentioned it to the front desk but nothing was done. The only plus for this hotel is its proximity to the airport. PS… bring credit card only for the restaurant as they don’t accept cash and the food was barely tolerable anyway. I have never given a poor review on any place I’ve travelled in the past but this place deserves one.

One of the pillows was stained, looked like blood. A bit off putting.

The bed was supposed to be King Sized in fact it was two single mattresses put together which made it uncomfortable

It was a good place for Glasgow Airport enjoyed our stay.

Not really the hotels fault, but I had a drunk fool on my floor who was whooping it up from 12.30 am until 2.30 am

Nice hotel next to the airport. Perfect for travel from GLA

I liked the location because I didn't have to rush ,it's across from the airport. Bed was a bit hard for my wife.

Perfect location for the airport. Short walk to the check in counter and car rental.

Excellent stay great food good sleep

Lovely staff and rooms were clean and tidy. Biggest disappointment was the quality and price of the food

Room was extremely tired very small and not up to the standard we would expect!

A little shabby Tight spaces in rooms

Perfect for airport convenience. Staff very helpful.

Property was in a great location but the building is a little bit tired. Bed was very comfortable.

Super comfortable bed and quiet location. So convenient to be close to airport!

There was no fitted sheet on the bed. Door did not lock. Water wasn’t warm. King bed was just two twins pushed together

The property was decent. But the room service rarely picks up the phone.

Location great Hotel corridors depressing Room basic but clean and staff helpful Prior to stay i was sent an email saying that i could enjoy a smart tv with Netflix. This was not the case ....the tv remote didnt work. When staff tried to fix this basic tv was available but kept cutting out. Very disappointing. The room telephone was also dead. We were given a voucher for drinks as an apology. There was limited non alcohol choices so didnt really make up for our loss. The only attraction for us was the convenient location

Great stay. Great food but it was very costly. Perfect location for getting to the airport on time. Will definitely stay again next trip.

Good facility and great staff

The hitel was nice but the room was not very great we had a broken lampshade the towel warmer didnt work. I would give it a 5 out of 10

Perfect for an overnight stay before flight in the morning. Food very good in restaurant.

the front desk was very kind and helpful the location cannot be beat for an early morning flight

So convenient for an early morning flight fro Glasgow Airport !

Wouldn’t stay here again. Our bed was uncomfortable, two twins put together. Bathroom extremely small. Towels were in short supply- only got one on second day. Room small. Far distance from everything. Positive- short walk to airport, staff at front desk very friendly. Room was clean. Breakfast was good.

I needed wheelchair assistance and the night team worked really hard to help me with my bags and arranging for my wheelchair to pick me up from the lobby. When I really needed their help, they were there for me out of the goodness of their hearts. We can learn a lot from them.Thank you, night team!

Convenience for the airport

Can’t get closer to the terminal!! Ideal for the early flights

Tired room but good location - food isnt great

Room was large with a king bed and very clean. A small fridge was a bonus. View from the large windows was lovely. The Hotel is in walking distance to attractions, cafes and restaurants. Very good to stop over for a few days.

Right next to the airport. Clean and friendly.

Stayed here as we had an early morning flight the next day - brillant for close proximity to the airport terminal. Good hotel, friendly and helpful staff, and clean room.

Perfect stay close to the airport. Food was wonderful! Room very clean and beds comfortable. Very quiet for being so close to the airport.

Overall a great hotel and direct access to terminal 2. Very convenient. All staff were incredibly lovely and helpful. My only issue is that I upgraded to a king room and when I went to bed, I realized it was just two twins pushed together as I slowly sunk into the middle crack. While that aspect was disappointing, the positives outweigh it.

was a bit dirty, moved some furniture and literally just found trash
